What an epic walk. 68 years old and still able to find amazing places. Pretty tuff slog but what a view.
After a long and beautiful walk in the rain and many stops along the way we finally reached the pinnacle the view was incredible and we could see our air bnb the patches of canola in the distance are really cool. TFTC find 358 thanks Foxy_Oxy for this amazing cache and beautiful location
Chook's NZ rellies came out to stay with us for a couple of days. Today's sunny weather made for a perfect day to do the Pinnacle Walk. We met a few other walkers on the track from the Sundial carpark, but being a weekday and not school holidays meant we had the Pinnacle to ourselves when we got there. Answers sent. Thank you for placing this earthcache here Foxy_Oxy.
On a family trip driving the loop from Melbourne to the great ocean road and now up to the Grampians! My 5 and 7 year old city boy nephews made it up to the Pinnacle and fell in love with hiking, we parked at the sundial parking lot and started our journey at 3pm, back at the parking lot at 6pm..! Took many good photos along the way, definitely not terrain and scenery we are used to in the tropics!
Nice short hike from the carpark to be greeted by stunning views from the pinnacle. Tftec
A wonderful reward for the slog up. The rock formations are fabulous as is the view. TFTC
Found this with gridge98 on our road trip to Victoria. We took the great ocean road to Warrnambool, then to Ballarat and Halls Gap. Fantastic trip away over 5 days. Thanks for the cache!
I walked up this spot in 2013 so today it was good to be back, we parked at sundial car park and made our way out along the trails to this spot, a lovely view over the gap here. Well worth the visit if in the area.courtneyrose_ and I headed away to Victoria for a 5 day trip for me to partake in the Ballarat Marathon. Along the way we made our way to the great ocean road to explore the area, after both of us had not been there for many years. We then headed to Ballarat for 2 nights before heading to Halls Gap for a scenic experience for the night before making our way back to home to Adelaide. Thanks for the cache.
We did two wonderful walks to the Pinnacle. The first was a loop walk from Halls Gap and then two days later, a loop from Wonderland carpark. Both had diverse vegetation and differing geology. Thanks for the information in the earthcache!
During our two-month trip through New Zealand and Australia, we arrived in Halls Cap yesterday. Today we have all day to explore the Grampians. We climbed The Pinnacle and enjoyed the view. For this earth cache we looked for the answers and took a nice photo.**Foxy_Oxy**, thanks for the cache.
We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Singapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. Yesterday we drove from Port Fairy to Halls Gap where we will be staying for two nights. For today we have a nice hike to Sundial Peak, the Pinnacle, Venus Baths, the Botanic Gardens and from there back to our cabin. We also passed this earthcache. After soaking in the amazing view we had a good look at our surroundings. The answers have been sent by janvandevis. Thank you very much for this earthcache at this spectacular spot.
We walked here from the Sundial carpark which was a nice walk with some stunning views along the way. We returned back to Halls Gap from here and I was glad we didn't come up that way as it tough even walking downhill. Thanks for the cache.
Auf unserer Touristenroute heute den Pinnacles, dem McKenzie Fall und Balkonien einen Besuch abgestattet. Etwas komisches Wetter, welches sehr mde macht, ist aber trotzdem schn hier!
Second time we are here. This time we hiked from another starting point than last time. Beautiful view. Greetings from Norway, TFTC:)
staying at the grampians for a couple of days because i was determined to come back after an earlier year camp here. was not disappointed, great weather for the two full days we stayed. we had to do atleast one hike during our little camping trip and this is one i had done before. we took grandpa beaanhead and whiterabbitz on this walk that i had convinced them wasnt that difficult. not all of us made it up the top but im glad that i did:) after taking afew pictures for some people that didn't have an extra hand i went back down to one of our team who was maybe possibly afraid of heights and realised i needed to figure out the answers for this cache. i did that and sadly we had to go back down. picture below was taken by one of the people i took a picture for hence the cheesy grin
After an amazing hike we reached this wonderful spot with a really great view.A little bit crowdy TFTC
Went up to Pinnacle Lookout today. Beautifull and warm day. Loved the views at the top and the amazing rocks formations along the way. Went down via Splitter Falls and Venus Baths.
After Mt Rainier I think this is my second favourite hike for enjoyment along the way ending with a fantastic view. Loved doing this one and a bonus at the top.
We visited the Pinnacles today and it was a tougher walk than expected. Maybe we are just getting old. I have sent my answers to the CO and hope they pass muster.
Together with Travelser I'm going Down Under. We are driving around with a motorhome. Started on the 17th September in Cairns. Our plan is driving.along the eastcoast down. Then in the south on to Adelaide and from there ending the 31th October in Alice Springs.During our trip we of course search for several caches. Most of them brought us to very nice spots, like this one.All the CO's, and in this case Foxy_Oxy, thanks for bringing us here and give our trip a special accent.
On my roundtrip along Australia with Oopie we are douing always some caches.Today we ware on the way from the great ocean route to Adelaideand and we did a few nice caches. So we make the answers together and with your permission Oopie wil sent the answers.CO thanks for bringing us on this nice place and make this cache.

A day over in the Grampians. Plan was Pinnacle and Sundial lookout then see what happens after that.... boy I went a lot further and got a lot more than I had planned. It must have been the coffees I was having.
Left the ute at Sundial picnic park 0940H and got back at 1159H lots of stops (and diversion for another cache) and also spent a bit of time looking around up here.
Was some great views around with the low cloud cover.
I cannot remember the last time I was up here, but it would be back in my school days.
Was cool to see the old "Nerve test" still standing strong though.

Spent the weekend away exploring the Grampians with naughtybunny and we both had a great time. This was the first of many lookouts and was happy to see there was an Earthcache here. Answers submitted and a photo attached of my partner-in-crime putting on her jacket as the wind and rain started to settle in. Cheers.
Up here with Wimmera Bushwalking Club, cold , little views, started to rain after we had lunch in the shelter of some rocks, been here many times . Gz in foggy background, answers to follow
Here on a guidec tour. Nice to be out with smiling folk, two Germans, two blokes from Wuhan and an Aussie. Wow, what a place, fab, brilliant. Tttc
From Sunday 16 April 2023 to Sunday 23 April 2023, I and J plus the little one spent 8 days in the school holiday trip to the State of Victoria. We visited the Melbourne, Phillip Island, Great Ocean Road, etc. We planned to find some caches on the way, including traditional cache, multi-cache, mystery cache, virtual cache, Wherigo cache, EarthCache, Adventure Lab cache, and we found over 60 caches for this trip. We enjoyed the holiday!
This cache was the second find on Day 2, also the fifth find for the whole trip.
What an impressive view! And the lookout is second to none!
Took some photos there. Will attach one photo with this log.
Learned the Earth lesson, did the observation, and sent answers to cache owner.
Thanks for the EarthCache, Foxy_Oxy. Greetings from Adelaide, SA.
PS: A favourite point from us!

Two full days in the Grampians. The weather was fantastic at the first day and for the second the forecast was really bad so we decided to see as many lookouts as possible.
The Pinnacle was our first hike this morning, it was a fantastic trail. TFTC

We did this walk today. Not to many people up the top when we were there. But on our return we saw a lot of people heading up. Some amazing rock features within the park.

Out for a second school camp since November 2022. This time I remembered to cache a little. Beautiful views again.
Today there is a hike on our program and not just any one, because we are going to do the Pinnacle! To our disappointment, the whole track is not open and so it becomes a back and forth over the same stretch and therefore no loop.
It doesn't matter, because we have a lot of fun and you see a different view when you walk downwards instead of up. The Pinnacle is great, although wifey gets a bit stressed out when daughter Hippie03 wants a photo at the very tip of the rock. Afterwards the GPS is grabbed to answer the earthcache question and after we have taken the necessary photos and lunch we descend again. We can't get enough of it and also do a back and forth through the gorge. It is stunning! We sincerely hope our answers are correct and thank CO Foxy_Oxy for placing an earthcache here!

The Pinnacle! WOW! Well worth the hike! Incredible views and and a stunning mountain range
T4TC, awesome view & great hike up . Greetings from Singapore . Glad my son chose this hike . Really enjoyed the walk up & down .
A fantastic walk with geokid and geopoppy. Such a spectacular view. We had heard from others about the view and hike and glad we finally made the time to do it. A great spot for lunch, with a 45m walk from the Sundial car park.
Came in from Sundial, and enjoyed spectacular views. Thanks for the cache Foxy_oxy
well, you can't go to the grampians and walk away having never visited the pinnacle
so on our first afternoon in the park, this was the top item on the to-do list
and it seems like every other visitor had the same idea
the paths were clogged with walkers, of all shapes and sizes and abilities
we enjoyed seeing the many youngsters happily rockhopping, out and about and getting some adventure in a beautiful spot
one of our party had done this walk before as a youngster
and had happily rockhopped to the pinnacle with a spring in their step
the rocks were hopped a little more warily today, with the wary worries of adulthood weighing more than fifteen years ago
but we still enjoyed the rockhopping and the adventure in a beautiful spot
a worthwhile item on the to-do list
nice to get it ticked off
thanks for the treasure

Out on a day walk to the Pinnacle, setting off from wonderland car park, we made the short hike up, and were rewarded with some of the best views I've seen in victoria. After having a look at the earth cache, we grabbed the info we needed. With half the adults heading back down to the wonderland car park, we decided to go the longer way all the way back down to halls gap.

climbed the Pinnacle from Wonderland carpark on 23 May. sent some answers through a few days ago but no response yet - posting the "find" now in case i forget!
Amazing views . With the clouds just scraping by our heads. The Grampians have been a great spot for the last few days. And the pinnacle is a must see. Thanks for the earth cache
We had to get up early for this one but it was well worthwhile - such an amazing view from the top and quite the experience doing it from the Wonderland carpark. tftc
Incredible experience! We walked from Wonderland Carpark and I loved walking through Silent Street. Amazing views!
Found on a lovely sunny day with amazing views. A Fav point for the amazing views and the great geology.

Stunning walk! We are hiking the circuit anti clockwise which worked out to be a good choice. Love the splendid and impressive sandstone landscape and wildflowers which is so different from home-base. Plenty of people out enjoying the great outdoors. The earth cache is a wee bonus as I had not looked before we left and I’m always in for a geology lesson! TFTC and the FUN!
An early morning walk before the hundreds of muggles arrived! Luckily I had the place to myself but by the time I got back to Sundial carpark there were sooooo many heading here! Anyway, it was a glorious morning and the views from up here were magnificent! Sadly, I was on my own as the plan was to spend all week in the Grampians with Team Webguy, but last weekend's weather made us change plans. As it was, we had an excellent time 4wding and exploring the little desert and big desert instead before going separate ways. I ended up returning to the Grampians for a night before heading back to Melbourne to catch the ferry to Tassie.
Thanks for setting up this earthcache in such a magnificent spot!

What a great walk! frmen1, half of draggedalong and myself walked from the Sundial carpark. The other half of draggedalong walked with a friend from Halls Gap. There are two people who have gone for an afternoon nap...guess which two lol
Views from every advantage point...photos taken do not do the place justice. We were surprised in the range of ages doing the walk.
Answers sent in to CO from all of us. Thank you for the fabulous walk.

Amazing views after a big walk. Please refer to tassie expat answers. Thanks for placing this earth cache.
TFTC! Elevation according to GPS 722m. The rocks are stacked in layers indicating they were laid down over time.
We visited this one in April but I complete forgot to log it! All that effort I must make sure to get the credit. This truely is an amazing place. At first my husband tried to make us all do the walk from the halls gap caravan park but upon reading the sign there was no way I was going to make it, let alone the kids. Convincing him we needed to be better prepared we did a different walk instead and saved the Pinnacle for another day. We did the "easier" version but still a decent hike. What a view, it was freezing and windy but amazing. So glad I did it.
I’d been looking forward to this walk and it didn’t disappoint. We walked up from Wonderland and thoroughly enjoyed all the amazing rock formations. Sadly, the Grand Canyon is inaccessible at the moment. Thanks for the EC
Well, what a walk. Walked from Wonderland carpark. Can't believe I made it! So worth it for the view. Loved all the wildflowers too. Was a lovely clear day. Tftc
Walked to The Pinnacle today from the Sundial Carpark, a sunny day at last after 2 wet ones. Nice walk, TFTC
A walk up here with the geofamily and SMS83 and her kids. So so so magical. This was my must do for the weekend. So pleased we all made it without complaint. Not to crowded at the moment which is lovely. Such stunning views. Answers emailed. Fav point added as I loved it. Many thanks for the EC.
Today, it's the 11th day of my trip in Australia and my second day on the main land.
This morning, I leave early Terang to come hiking in the Grampians.
When I arrive, the sky was cloudy. I hope I can do the wonderland, pinnacle and the lakeview lookout without rain.
I started my hike from the wonderland carpark, it was quiet warm and a lot of humidity at 9am in the morning I was surprise by this.
I begin by taking the grand Canyon, after the silent street and reach the Pinnacle lookout. At this moment, I have some clouds but I have sometimes the sun that appeared so I can see the beautiful view . I took the info for this earth cache at this moment.
I continue my hike to the lakeview lookout and then on my way back it stated to rain :-O.
I saw I forget to take the photo with myself and the view so I decided to pass again by the pinnacle lookout to do the photo before coming back to the carpark. That's why the photo with myself it's more cloudy, foggy.
Even with the rain, it was a nice hike. I enjoy it . It's a beautiful area. At this hour of the day, I don't have so much people but when I'm going down it started to be busy.
After, I continue my visit by the boroka lookout, the balconies and the MacKenzie Falls.
Finally, I finish by the long drive until Benalla.
