The first 2 clues didn't make sense as the answers are double digits. Can't see the 3rd item, I suspect due to growth since 2017. I think this cache needs a serious update of the clues due to changes over the last 9 years. Congratulations to those who found it by guessing!

Was really hard to work out as there’s no co-ords did try but you have no idea which way to go

What a mission!!! I must say that I didnt really enjoy this as many of the clues for the waypoints have changed since 2011. Thanks to Tryfyn in Feb this year, the log is still nice and dry. Definitely needs upgrading with the waypoints, thanks anyway.

I'd avoided this one for a while because there didn't seem enough to go on. However, this is now my closest unsolved cache so I thought I'd better do it. Once I started around the estuary, things started to make more sense but there has been a lot of change and many co-ordinate objects no longer exist. Still, through a combination of observation, deduction based on other cache locations and some guesswork, managed to fix the easting and get a search area for the southing. Reduced to MAF but found the cache before I got a reply. The log is a nice bug habitat so I replaced it with a new waterproof log and plastic bag. This was a tricky cache but, somehow, a find on partial co-ordinates is even more satisfying. TFTC.

Finally got it. We walked this track in between showers on Friday but couldn't get the coordinates to even look right let alone get a tick. I went out again today to get a feel for likely coordinates and finally locked in an area that might work. After dinner tonight I PAF to confirm and yes. Headed out on dusk and soon came across cache. There are a few trees fallen over here so was glad to see cache still there. As per previous logs the log is soaking but we managed to sign. Sorry I didn't have a waterproof log paper with me as my caching kit is in car on hoist at garage. Thanks for the cache placement.

Not to sure what to say about this very confusing and random cache...while we got a few of the co ords correct ....and had a choice of a couple of areas to look .... the cache was completed with a little help from phone a friend....the cache is still a sistema but not that black any more ....the poor thing is in a sad state of repair...after de- snailing it and finding it not properly sealed so had to kick out a few slugs from inside, ...drain out the water I found the log book ...it was very wet and soggie very difficult to sign....the only plus was there were still some goodies there and a rusty pencil sharpener. I cleaned it up as best possible in the failing light and replaced as best possible it could do with some tlc thanks for the cache hotwheelznz it did consume a lot of time but was good to succeed in the end

Out caching with iammrwalker, kiwis69, 11hpg11 and HKCB to mission it around and about Tauranga.

Thanks to someone doing some homework before we came which made this one all the more easier Smile A great multi, cheers for your effort! Apologies for the late logging.

Joined forces with HKCB, 11HPG11, Kyb3r and iammrwalker for a caching splurge around Tauranga. We had an earlier than usual curfew for today's caching mission, so we set off from the Tron at 5am to maximise caching time. Great fun with lots of laughs and lots of entertaining tales as is usual on our group outings and even better to be rewarded with so many quality hides: we were most definitely very impressed by the effort made by BOP COs.

The rest of the gang has visited previously & did the hard yards for this one. I've been out of the loop with a recent knee injury so sitting about a bit is what I do a whole lot better than running around paths at the moment! Thankfully, managed to keep up with the others & get to GZ without any problems. With several pairs of eyes & hands hunting for the cache, & a good hint, it didn't take too long to find this one. And the early morning limbering-up yoga (I think?) provided entertainment as we headed back to the car ... TFTC

Out and about with Kiwis69, 11HPG11, Kyb3r and iammrwalker for a bit of a mission over in Tauranga. With caching time limited for a few of us, a half(ish) day leave pass was given from our respective muggle partners. With a set in stone time of 2pm to be back at home to maximise caching time a 5am start was agreed on. Still we managed about 6 hours of caching time and managed to find around 35 caches throughout the morning.

We all enjoyed the day out, and I think we all agreed it was a little long between drinks. A bonus for the day was the high level of quality caches we found. A big thanks to all those CO's for making it an even more memorable day. We signed the logs as HOAC, a group name we go by from time to time.

Have been down this path before hunting for other caches in the area, but when we were last here missed this multi completely. Did a bit of homework on this multi before I left home, and with the other placements in the area guessed roughly where the cache might be. Only needed to check a couple of figures this morning before getting a tick on the geochecker and making our way over to GZ. Unable to sign the log as HPG's photo shows, thanks for the multi.

Out and about for a quick 'half day' of caching today with a good sized group of Hamilton cachers. We were time limited so left at the usual 5am before calling it a day at 12.30pm which meant we could be back in Hamilton by 2pm and I think we just scraped in. A good days caching none the less and managed to knock off a few great quality caches. Today we signed the logs as HOAC as a group name, which consisted of HKCB, Kiwi69, Kyber, Iammrwalker, and myself. Thanks to all the cache owners for their placements which enabled us to have a great morning in Tauranga.

We have been here previously but never had the time to attempt this multi. We did some homework at home before setting off on this one and this helped narrow our search down. A lovely stroll along here this morning, enjoyed the waypoints but no time for sitting today. A quick search at GZ and we soon had the cache in hand. Unfortunately it is very saturated and we were unable to sign our names. We have attached a photo of the log as noone had any spare logs on them today sorry.

Thanks for the multi!

I found this cache along with HKCB, kyb3r, Kiwi69 and 11hpg11, we signed most of the logs HOAC and a couple with an abbreviation of our Geocaching handles to save on space and time. We came over to the Bay from Hamilton, leaving at 5am and getting back to the Tron at 2pm to appease our respective partners. I managed to nab about 35 geocaches on our quick trip. We had a great time, shared some unforgettable work stories and some very humorous cringe worthy innuendo. The Bay has some incredibly creative CO’s and we were really impressed with the quality and variety of hides.

We have spent some time walking this popular path for other caches in other directions and today decided to make use of the information we had gleaned. HKCB should get the credit for gathering being astute enough to collect the waypoint info needed which saved us some time. I made a quick find thanks to the clue and nice accurate coordinates. Unfortunately the container was partially full of water and the log was to wet to sign, hence 11hpg11's photo. We tidied it up as best we could but had left our normal geocaching supplies back in the car. On our way back we were greeted by some of the strangest, eyebrow raising, pair stretching between two woman. I made a note to share what I had learned with my wife that night.

Parked up with the hope of attempting this but then got confused by the waypoints not having coords - thought it was my phone app playing up. Not sure if I'll come back to it after reading previous logs!

The bonus of coming here was that there was a slippery little traditional cache hiding behind this on the map, so I still got a smiley.

Found tonight while the kids were training at Te Puna. Got the green tick on geochecker before leaving Te Puna so went straight to cache didn't need to do the full circuit.

1.05pm - This cache find was a bit of complete luck. Information given seemed very misleading and not all there. Walked a large section of the walkway and just kept looking for the hint, then I spotted something that matched hint. Sure enough the cache but in a very wet condition but still able to sign. This cache is in bad need of some serious repairs. SLTFTC

As per found it log, this needs a check over. Wet logsheet, and wet/dirty inside container.

Today was a dot day for me and I am running out of options for close caches.
I have looked at this one and have usually given up on it because it seemed a bit confusing. Not knowing which direction to go and the vague waypoint descriptions made it difficult. I asked a friend for a tip on which way to go and approached from Chapel St and got two answers, forgot about the poles in the water and wasn't sure which stormwater drain, which seat and which sign. In the end I used the same technique as other finders and concentrated on the hint. Narrowed down a likely area and kept an eye out for suitable targets as I rode along. I was starting to give up on hope until I made a nice discovery at my 4th spot. Unfortunately the cache isn't in a nice state. I see the last find was in May 2015. Cache was water logged and dirty and logbook was soaked through, but I was able to sign my name and therefore claiming this smilie.
Thanks for the multi cache.

We started this cache 10 days ago… we were on our bikes and weren't sure which way to go from the posted co-ords to answer the clues, or how far apart the answers would be etc, so made much harder work of it than necessary, circling the estuary 1 1/2 times without finding all the answers. After a PAF to a previous finder, we had some more ideas, and finally today (Weds 13th) came back on foot to finish it off and locate the final. Once we had the correct co-ords it was a quick find at GZ, cache was exposed so left it covered better with natural camo. There were a few people on the track but no-one disturbed us while at GZ. A lovely area to ride or walk in. TFTC!! SmileSmile

Started this cache a while ago but have never managed to finish it. Once we got some help from a few fellow cachers we back on track. Made our way to the final while the weather was fine. Using the hint we located the cache fairly quickly just because it had no natural camo.
Glad to have ticked this cache off Big GrinBig Grin Covered the cache so it is hidden well.

A DNF for us today. Will have another go next time we are over in this area.

08-Feb-15
Well we didn't know what we were in for on this one but as it turned out - very enjoyable. We were able to identify all waypoints and get a green tick from the geochecker. With an absence of waypoints or any other instruction you really just have to follow your nose on this one. Common sense was also handy for example, you see a sign with 220 letters on it - it ain't gonna be that one! Also it ain't gonna be within 160 meters of another cache e.g. Good Ending or Daily Run. Lastly Stage 3 needs to = G-2 as there are in fact more cranes. This cache is however, very do-able using just the hint as per previous logs. Cheers hotwheelsnz.

Decided we'd head out for an afternoon walk and this one looked good. We parked up at the culdesac and proceeded to WP1. We quickly worked out the answer and then tried to figure out how to proceed to WP2. We spent some time checking the cache page in case we'd missed something but still unsure. It was then decided we'd just walk in a given direction and see if we could answer the questions on the go.

Well, we never did spot any of the other WPs and we didn't need to as we found the cache quite easily on our walk along the peninsular. Log signed, feeling chuffed about our accomplishments, we carried on and found a few more caches. TFTC! Big Grin

Busy day on the track. We found the first few coords but then failed to find the 3rd. Carried on round the track attempting to pick up as many clues as possible.

By elimination eventually found the final.

Found with Papaka79, had a bit of trouble from waypoint 2, decided to have a little stroll, and let our geo-instincts lead the way, and hey what do you know....we found it, tftc

17-Feb-14
This one had us a bit worried as from WP1 we weren't sure where to go for the other WP's, thought we would have a walk along the track and see if we could see anything else that would fit into to the WP category, but saw something interesting from the track and soon had CIH. Found with anjwirihana as we knocked off a few multis around town Smile

Decided to give this one a go today but got stuck at way point two... no sign in sight where we were looking for it... hmmmm, will add it to the to do list for another day... maybe after someone else has some success Smile

Found each stage and clue fairly easily. New sign must be same as old because the numbers worked. Found final on run this morning...TFTC

Another secret squirrel mission in the middle of the week. Trying to make the most of the good weather while it lasts...

Wasn't sure about this cache. Tried to solve some of the waypoint clues before visiting. Discovered that the port crane clue will soon need updating as the Port of Tauranga expands. Also worried that others have stated that other clues are missing, or that there were other issues...

As I was close enough to scout this cache for do-ability; thought I'd just give it a whirl. Arrived at a point of interest along the track... Walked over and found the cache. That was way too lucky and a quick find. Smiled all the way back to the car. TFTC.

Would like to find this, but notice a change in some of the clues... Clue G - the number of cranes is set to rise as the Port of Tauranga expands. The description will need an update.

Out with George Montague this morning. Got as far as stage 2 "number of letters on sign". but found no reference to coords for next stage. Aborted.

Out with Goroka Ang for this one today but ran out of luck at stage 2. Ang advised the sign was replaced in Feb. A nice walk along the path anyway, which we enjoyed with Mrs George. TFTC.

The sign in question was replaced around February 2013. Coords for next stage have disappeared, I think. Could you please check.

Fifth find of the day took some help to suss out the general area, then kept a lookout for terrain matching all the clues in the hint, and after a few false attempts and re-iteration of the hint it eventually became apparent when the right terrain was recognized.

This took quite a bit more than 45 minutes and we were very puzzled! We only found it using the hint. It was a nice walk and we took up Geocaching to get exercise, and we certainly got that today. TFTC.

Second attempt at this due to the first time not making a whole lot of sense, it pays to take a closer look at things. Final was easily located once solved.

What a mission. Quite a lot of guesswork but it paid off. Thanks

Not sure if I made hard work of an easy one or not, but took a heck of a lot more than 45 minutes, and a bit of multiple choice

09-Jul-11
Had another visit to all the way points to try to come up with different answers to the questions. Sat about a bit in the car trying some solutions in Geochecker with out luck, Head scratched a little more before finding the error in my assumptions. Final a quick find. Enjoyed this challenging multi. Thanks.

05-Jun-11
Enjoyed the walk around the walkway and gathered as many clues as we could but struggled with a few. As we were unable to calculate the correct coord for the final we had to use a bit of our caching experience to make the find and we struck it lucky. Thanks for the excerise which certainly helped with our Global Corporate Challenge steps for the day T4TC.

I won't call this as a DNF yet,

Had another go at this one today after having a brief start a few weeks ago.
Got to all way points no problem but have found that I have multiple answers to some of the questions.

Viewing the possible locations on Google earth, I visited 3 of the most likely with no success. (My calculated GZ obviously wrong)

Still a work in progress....

15-May-11
We set off this morning, thinking this might take a little longer than the suggested 45 minutes. How right we were!

Got to Stage 1, and answered the question. A good start [^] (we thought at the time). Who's got the co-ordinates for Stage 2? We look at each other, and come to the conclusion that we'd neglected to print everything off earlier in the day. So we headed back home to the computer.

Mmmmm... we're still not thinking right. Back to Stage 1 ... how dumb we are feeling today Red FaceRed FaceRed Face.

Stage 2 - OK. Stage 3 - OK. Stage 4 - OK.

Stage 5 ... we arrived at low tide, hmmm. Multiple choice answers on this one, a matter of interpretation [?].

Stage 6 - OK.

So ... we entered our most likely solution ... and off we go ... ending up at a house on Pillans Road! oh no Surprised! We've gone wrong, again.

Back home to our good friend Google Earth.

The more we thought about things, our answer to Stage 1 was making no sense at all. So we decided to ignore it, and picked the most likely spot for GZ.

Heading out again after lunch, we got caught in a heavy downpour of rain [xx(]. Determined as we were not to give up, we continued on our way to probable GZ.

Due to the good clue, we found the cache Big Grin! ... no small relief to say the least. Another Multi bites the dust Big Grin!

Note: no sign of the TUSWECA trackable in the cache.

Went to get this last night while biking home but I was going in the wrong direction..... and dinner was calling! Out on the bike again today and it took awhile. Interpreted two of the stage answers with two different answers depending on what they meant, so had some options at the end. One was sending us away so had to redo and found the cache. TFTC and all your work in preparing and setting up. Took gc

The name suits. B----y hard to get co-ords siting though. After a dissapointing fruit test result I left for the afternoon to get some caches. Tried this one first and scored FTF. Thanks for the effort you have put into this. Was nice to walk this after biking here a few weeks ago while waiting for the car to be serviced.
I left a Geocoin.
