I had a quick look on the way to work. I looked at all the places I thought it would be but ran out of time. I will come back another time during the day.
Magic Kingdom - I remember the name but know nothing of this Forgotten Fun Park. If you'd asked me I would have said it was some mystical kids kingdom on TV.
Maybe that's because Luna Park was the only Fun Park of my childhood and I've never been to this part of Sydney until the last 12 months.
And what brought me here?
Well Geocaching of course!
Today our walking/birdwatching club came here to walk the tracks along the Georges River and Floyd Bay, a new location for the group so I eagerly looked at the geomap and found this cache right on the road I would be driving along.
With it being so hot today traffic very early this morning was almost non-existent so I arrived early and had time to stop for the cache.
Looking towards GZ from the geomobile I had 2 ideas of where the cache might be hidden. Turned out to be option 1.
The walks were interesting and we saw quite a few birds, some water dragons and some very interesting dragon flies along the river. All worth the early start and long drive.

Found this one back in 2016, this time I’m back with BarberBlackSheep to show him the old magic kingdom and so he can make the find
After a day trip down south with adventure-fox and having a recent interest in abandoned theme park we thought about tackling this one
After watching a cockatoo eat bread for a bit we focused on the cache
At first looking at the wrong object
But soon noticed something out of the ordinary

After a paddle on the Georges River and picking up a haul of T5 caches, we had worked up a good appetite. We came off the river near the golf club and thought we might have some luck finding a late lunch at said club. Alas, only "liquid lunches" were on offer at the bar. Thus, we opted to drive somewhere else for something more substantial.
Fortunately, there was this cache right near the road and with a good option to park. At first I concentrated on the wrong object but soon shifted my focus after finding nothing. And the little critter was immediately spotted.
All good here. Just struggled a bit to get the scroll out. Good thing my spouse has slightly longer fingernails than I do.

Log too wet to write on. I placed some paper in a new plastic bag for log signing. There are too many things in container.
Needs a bigger container or less things log saturated cannot be written on needs replacing
There’s nothing better than a day off work to do a spot of caching, combine that with a canoe and a day on the water under perfect skies and it doesn’t get much better.
With so many of the George’s River PT still to complete, I picked an area over near Georges Hall to spend my day on the water. My timing was a little off with the tides but I still managed to bag a plethora of finds.
While I was in the area I grabbed this cache. I remember going to Magic Kingdom as a teenager.
Thanks

Heading for a big day on the water. Parked at the closed boat ramp and soon was making my way up the river. Thought I was going to smash the hole series, but after 3 to 4 Hours had to seriously re consider that plan!! I think one would be pushing his luck and I am reasonably fit. Spent 6.5 hours on the water and did 19 km in total. All caches found quick and easy except 1, but that turned out to be a first to find.

An easy find with a good parking spot right next to the GZ.
I ended up startling a rider as i was searching. Im sure he was wondering what i was doing in the bushes early on a Saturday morning.
The container is in good condition and the log is dry.
Thanks.

Quickish find and I do recall coming to the magic kingdom when I was a child. Was a sad day when I found out that it closed down, thanks for the placement Boos
I remember this park. I loved it. Oh oh oh it’s magic. Looking back our dad did take us to many places.
Quick find checked out the theme park I remember coming here for my dads work Christmas party we all had a ball
Oh-oh-oh it’s magic!! Yes I remember the ad! Showing my age! Though these days it’s more tragic than magic. Never went to this park as a kid, only Australia’s wonderland. Thanks for bringing us here, sad it’s all gone TFTC FP awarded for memories
It’s amazing how many fun parks must have been around. Sure would have been better then Westfield’s and phone games. Cache was an ok find. Thanks tnln
Easy find. I don't remember this Fun Park - it's long gone and forgotten. Video not only killed the Radio Star, but the fun parks as well. TFTC The Booos
The Booos I found your cache Magic Kingdom (Forgotten Fun Parks 6) on 9/3/19, 12:50 pm. This is my find 2302 and find # 2 today. Thanks, remember it but never went there. A quick and easy find. Thanks for the cache! TNSLLN
On the 1st Aquilus1 and I were supposed to be first day of a three day adventure going deep into the Heart Of Darkness.... all the way through NSW to Bogan Shire to claim a multitude of counties... but (and there is usually a but) unfortunately I no longer had three days available, just two. So, last minute change of plans was for us go to the coast and go north, and see how we went. I even solved the only puzzle on the road before leaving.
So.... it ended up being a great loop, clearing out the road from Bungendore to Nerriga and going on to claim about a dozen shires. Clearing out an area is always slow going, but we were methodical... No Cache Left Behind as dubya would have said, despite the constant rain.... at least after Nerriga it was more a trip to claim counties than to clean out the map.
Late on the 1st we remembered that we should eat, probably before everything closes... luckily we found a Thai place in Berry that grumpily let us in while staring at the clock.... no mind! The food was great. Frantic internet searching looking for a motel then ensued while waiting for our dinner... all was well, we had fine lodgings awaiting us in Kiama.
On the 2nd the rain was looking like it was going to set in for the day as well, but we soon realised it was the fog that was going to be our nemesis.... it was unbelievable and downright scary... glad I wasn't driving! But, in the pea-souper, we somehow missed our turn to The Shire and ended up near Appin, no mind, we can continue in this direction.
Not sure I can even remember all the councils we passed through and grabbed a cache or two in, but here goes:
Queanbeyan-Palerang,
Goulburn-Mulwaree
Shoalhaven
Jervis Bay
Kiama
Shellharbour
Wollongong
Wollondilly
Campbelltown
Camden
Liverpool
Fairfield
Canterbury-Bankstown
Cumberland
Strathfield
Canada Bay
Burwood
Inner West
Sydney
Woollahra
Waverley
Randwick
Bayside
Georges River
Sutherland Shire
Wingecarribee
I sooo remember Magic Kingdom and the ad's, they were even played in Canberra. FOund after a brief search, left a pathtag... please log it if you take it!

With GreyHams we had planned to head out for a three day trip into NSW for some counties, all the way to Bogan Shire! We had 14 counties on the route but a change of plans meant only the two days were available so plan B had us heading towards the coast and up towards Sydney.
All a bit of a last minute change but all good, GreyHams had a plan! Off we set, we had 5 counties on the list and would see how many more we had the time for. The new route had us driving up towards Bungendore to Tarago and then across towards Nerriga to Jervis Bay. A good trail of caches and we searched for them all, a few DNF's but mostly a successful trip through with a variety of caches found and some really great locations visited.
The rain set in about Nerriga, light and steady, and we both ended up more than a little damp at times, super fun when looking for a cache in the wet bushes! Mostly we cleared a nice path along the way with a few caches down some side tracks, a few puddles to play with along them and the only Mystery along the way... Well thanks to GreyHams for knitting that one out!
Stopped in Berry for a nice Thai dinner and then on to Kiama where we stopped for the night.
Woke to more rain but continued on North stopping at each county along the way for a cache and anything else interesting. Thankfully the rain did end up clearing... in its place there was the thickest of fog to navigate through, no worries about that on the Motorway with the traffic and almost no visibility!
Slightly turned about in the fog we did end up off track but worked out well in the end with a new course set and off to conquer the counties along the way into and around Sydney. A surprising 25 counties visited in the end, much more than expected but happy with the result and a good couple of days away to do it in. Thanks to all the CO's for your caches, apologies for the generic log, any additional cache information has been added to the end of this log.
Definitely little to see here now, but the cache we did!

More post golf caching with raindoctor.
Had a round at Liverpool golf club and PNG'ed this on they way to lunch at Cabramatta.
When I played at Liverpool in the late 90s, I'm pretty sure magic Kingdom was still open, or at least the rides were still in place.

On the Jomingara tour today this was our first find for the day and Jomingara's only new find. When I started caching three or so years ago. No. Wait. 5 years ago? Yowsers. Anyway... I made it my mission to find this series (I really like this series). Slowly getting closer to getting them all. Thanks for the cache The Booos!
A quick stop while working in the area. I remember the ads for Magic Kingdom but I never went there.

Out and about with some of the now infamous 'Socks & Sandals' Crew on the Georges River to grab and/or repair the Splash n' Cache series.
As usual, this was a hoot of a glorious day albeit a tad on the warm side, but having Seemyshells runabout with Aries 44 and Brewmaker himself and my liferaft in tow, it was indeed pleasant trip on the water.
We grabbed this one as we finished up the day caching. I had forgotten all about the Magic Kingdom. Thanks for the reminder of my early days and thanks for the cache The Booos.

On a very warm day, the SS Socks & Sandals took off for a day of caching around the lake to attempt the Spalsh n' Cache series. On board were the motley crew of Capatin Seemyshell, Lieutenant Aries 44, Midshipman Pipes_down_under, and Able Seaman Brewmaker myself.
I'm glad we did this in the runabout, as paddling in a kayak would have taken us all day. A succesful hunt for the booty saw us discover the treasure for all finds in the series, plus a few other bonus ones along the way.
This was #12 and last one for the day. I do remember the Magic Kingdom ads on TV but not the theme song! Such a shame there is so much rubbish around this place.
Time to cool off with an ale now boys! TFTC to The Booos! An enjoyable day out with the S&S boys!

**Needing a Cache for my cache streak, I had this one on my radar. I saw that it recently had issues with water, but didn't realise how bad it was. The entire cache was soaked in water. I tried to dry it out as much as possible. I replaced the log book with a fresh plastic sealed bag.**
I periscoped the location today as I loved the idea of the swamp. Feel free to follow my adventures on all social media.

Geocaching bestie found after walking into bush. Not in the park. Please don't go in as it is illegal.
Stopped along Hollywood Drive and made a quick find. Many thanks for the cache.
Went for a bit of an urbex of the old Magic Kingdom site. Not a lot left in there - did find the old boot (the woman who lived in a shoe) but it's over the water. I don't think we ever came to this park although we visited most of the rest of the FFPs. When leaving we went for a look for this cache and I was distracted by two likely spots and kept checking them before going where it looked like no one went and making a simple find. Signed and replaced.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Bit smelly but soon had CIH. Signed log. TFTC. Sit lookalike it's being cleaned up.
A muggle dropped by just as I was replacing cache. Apparently property has been sold and condos are going up.

Growing up in the NT I had never heard of this funpark let alone been here. But Mr TGK had. Growing up nearby he visited this old theme park on many a weekends. Some fond memories as he pointed to the old boot and relayed some good times had. I on the other hand could not imagine this place was ever enjoyable. It was so underwater and there was so much trash around the area. Parking the car nearby it was wet and mushy underfoot and I was glad I did not have to go any more further! The cache was found lovely and dry. Thanks for this cache The Booos.

Another afternoon caching - this time near Chipping Norton Lake - note to self, need a kayak. Looked for three and found the lot, including a simple multi.

First up this cache.
Parked The Hademobile close and noticed the disturbingly high water level here. Looked at my iPhone - it seems to be pointing into the water - to those trees whose roots are wholly submerged... like that fence.
And I'd left the gumboots at home.
Checked what I could and soon spotted a familiar shape accessible from dry land. Phew.
Completed signing duties and replaced - adding a touch more camo.

The whole place is underwater after the rain and I thought I would have to wade out to find it.
Thankfully it was on the waters edge.

In Germany I did heaps of Lost Place Geocaches, and I'm kind of sad that this type of cache is not very common here in Australia, (Sydney).
This one should be my first Lp here. I went there with a friend who knows a little bit about the place.
So we arrived this evening an dafter a few minutes the cache was found. So now the park.
Unfortunately most of the place is floated from the rain the last days. We couldn't even go to the shoe, we only saw it, there was a stream of water in front of it.. So I left with the good feeling to found a cache, but was a little bit dissatisfied, most of the things from the park are removed, also the slide( I guess, we didn't find it..)
TFTC anyway and Greetings from Germany.
