Searched everywhere and couldn’t find it. Perhaps has been blown away again?
29/8/2021. Spoken to the people in the railway station and they informed us that the cache was blown away in a storm.
Had to be quick with this one as there are eyes everywhere. TFTC

So while collecting info for the earth cache a little ducking, twisting, and turning was performed to collect this one.
Well, this journey started about 12 months or more ago, skip 2020 and we find ourselves planning a long-overdue road trip. This means one thing ... a cache run would be involved. One or two different routes where planned caches were studied, some more than others (manly puzzle styles), and a plan was hatched.
It includes the most number of puzzles we have ever solved personally, Wherigo's, and even a few 'FTF' (FTF) FTF caches. The distance that was driven is approx. 3500 km. Over some 10 days. 14km of muddy, red, and black soil 4wd only slip-sliding heart-pumping road - which we got through without incident only to get bogged a while later on the side of a tar road doing a U-turn.
The total number of caches found is yet to be determined, could also depend upon my logging them, as those who know me also know my lack of logging or length of time to do so could mean the correct total will never be shown. Still, it’s not about the numbers.
Logs have been signed with any one of the following, JABs, FWBs, TasReach, MEMO, or TR. Often depended upon who was signing the logbook, time of the day, length of the days caching run, sleep-deprived state, condition of the logbook. Penned often in the first available spot (except in the case of new cache), in between other cache's names. Hopefully to help extend the life of a logbook. The date was not often recorded, again to save room and maybe a little time.
Distance travel is undetermined, basically, fly from Hobart to Brisbane, drive northerly to Gympie, out through Gayndah, Monto to the Westwood, and then turn west straight out to Longreach, with a part-day layover to collect all those 92 solved puzzles. Home is hopefully via Jericho, south through Mexico and into Blackall then down and cross to Roma, Toowoomba Brissie and fly home.
Meeting up with great family friends of ours to share part of this journey MEMO, the cache name TasReach or TR for short was born, been both Tasmania and Longreach. So wished each cache could have its own story, but in that case, I would never finish logging. So I thought a long story was better than a TFTC. But hey thanks for the cache anyway.
JABs.

Day 2 and the planned driving to Longreach was much shorter than Day 1 but the find total was higher as we travelled through Blackall and Barcaldine picking up some oldies and others of interest.
After grabbing the nearby earth cache we headed to this one. After a short search we had a cache in our hands. Bane signed and all returned to where we found it. TFTC Travelling Storm

Day 2 of 8 (Tambo to Longreach) of a Queenslander road trip with Kestal, clocking just over 4000km, to tick off boxes for different challenges. After gathering answers for the nearby Earthcache we headed over to GZ to see if we could make a find away from prying eyes and yes it is very doable. Seems there may be two caches at play as what we found was not what was depicted in a picture on a recent log but the log we signed did have logs on it from 2019 . TFTC TravellingStrom
Seem to remember looking for this one a few years ago with no luck. A bit smarter this time and found it.
Day 1 in Barcaldine. We are camped out at Lloyd Jones Weir as everything in Barcaldine full. Lucky us though, the camp is a great place!
We cached our way into town this morning and then began to work some of the trails that had not been here when we were last in town. A good variety of caches and a beautiful day to boot.
Thank you to the local COs for developing and maintaining the caches.

We were undecided as to whether to stay in Barcaldine or not, but then we ran into some chums, who were staying in the caravan park here, along with two others families that we know. So it was a no brainer, we were stopping the night here. This cache was found very easily.
Easy find after our first attempt at sunset a couple of nights ago. Didn't have a pen to sign the log but we will come back to sign. All the way from Tassie! Tftc
Forgot my pen, photo instead. Interesting place shame I have to rush through it. Plan to visit again in the future. TFTC
We’re normally overseas at this time of the year but COVID has us exploring our own backyard and the Dinosaur Trail in the last week of school holidays .
Winton to Barcaldine via Longreach today.
I missed this one on my last visit.
No problems here this time.
Thanks TravellingStrom.

02/01/21 Roadtrip Mackay to Emerald to Barcaldine to Aramac to Blackall to Jericho over the next 3 weeks. Lots of puzzle solving before and during trip. Searched area and found GZ . Replaced and signed log. TFTC SL

Love the sound the tree of knowledge makes. So peaceful. I wish I could of seen it at night.
We decided to travel around Queensland this school holidays. Because Botswana was out of the question (for obvious reasons). We left from our home town "Noosa" two weeks ago, and are on our way home. We went all the way to Windorah to Karumba to Cairns. Staying the night in Barcaldine, Biloeala tommorow then Home. Cache is easy enought to find once the muggles leave. Not looking forward to school on tuesday but it is what it . TFTC
Day 7 on my Outback road trip. Spending the day collecting the remaining caches in Barcaldine and having a look around.
Arrived at gz and found the cache quickly.
Log signed, cache replaced as found.
Thanks TravellingStrom for the cache.

Day nine of my outback Queensland trip and I am back in Barcaldine for the next 2 days. Having completed a few already due to the rains it will be fun to continue on around the town, maybe even get some knowledge while I’m here. Wow there is so much to do in and around this town and some really fun caches. Again I will have no problems in continuing my challenges of a trad a day and a cache a day.
Caching on my own again and am enjoying the freedom of where to go and when. This was a great little series. I drove up to one and worked my way back into town, all caches were easy finds and in good condition.
With the log signed and cache returned as found, it was onto the next one. Thank you for placing it here, I really enjoyed the drive around this area today.

I am heading up to Barcaldine region for a week of family time and of course geocaching. Sorry for the generic post. Especially because I am going to find a lot. TFTC
The GPS found this spot a bit confusing but the phone had GZ nailed. Found the logbooks and the cache lid, no sign of the base though. Couldn't help out with a container but put the current log in a new bag (the old one wouldn't fit). TFTC TravellingStrom.
Found tin open and paper on the ground. Put back same area but a little safer, hopefully..
Outback roadtrip Day 4 - Blackall to Barcaldine. Another gorgeous outback sunrise and another big day of cache hunting and sightseeing. Caches were mostly in excellent condition.
Found just a sistema lid and log inside bag, which has been signed

Gotcha.
Picking up a nearby earth cache when I noticed this one close by. Would be rude not to find it.

My muggle husband and I are heading back to Brisbane after visiting a close friend and her geo In Mt Isa. After staying the night at Longreach we are heading to emerald today, collecting smileys along the way. At gz I spotted the lid of the cache but log boom was missing . I had a little silver tin in the car to keep the log book safe. Thanks for placing this cache here for us to enjoy. Giving this a FP for taking us to this great location and learning about the history here.
Had a look for this one and found the log in a zip lock bag, as well as the lid of a small sistema container, but that is all. TFTC.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

Out and about after QOGM 2019 in Blackall Qld.
Our last day in Blackall, so one last chance to collect some local caches.
Started off with puzzles I solved last evening then headed south to grab a few more.

I wasn't giving up on this cache
So this morning I was back for yet another go at finding it
A labour of love I guess you could call it.
Careful examination of previous logs and the gallery last night gave the location away !! [:o]
So bright and early this morning,
I was back
And marched straight up to GZ,
and a quick cache find [:o]
At Last !! [^]
TFTC in an iconic place for approximately 50% of the population,
a figure that varies from year to year though

TFTC quick find no muggles around. Bring own pen. Photo as evidence as I didn’t have a pen to log Find.
Day 359 - Just a nice quiet day around Barcaldine having a look around and seeing what we could so it was a werigo a traditional and a earth cache before the heat of the day set in and it was time to get in the cool.
As it was getting on in time the decision was made to call it a day early and the problem we had with trying to find a couple of cache earlier it was decided a find was a find and we needed a find to keep the streak running and this was it after some searching and searching the cache was eventually found after some 20 mins of searching it was great to have it in hand.
Thanks TravellingStorm for bringing us here to find a cache.

Found but to many muggles watching me so left it and didn’t sign if I get a chance I’ll come back and sign
Well that was an effort! Cache was in under properly. Poor OH was half under the building! Tucked in, out of sight but not needing an excavator
Quick grab whilst collecting info for the earth cache. Enjoying our holiday from Brisbane to Cairns and then back again through Longreach. Thanks for the souvenir smiley!
