We woke today to quite cool and foggy morning so we decided to wait around for things to warm up a bit.It was then we received a phone call from a family member traveling south that they were heading through Stanthorpe and would we like to catch up for a coffee. We never pass up the opportunity to catch up with family so it was on! They suggested we meet at a place in Thulimah, and we duly did. This set the agenda for the day. We decided afterwards to head further north up to Dalveen before working our way back home along the Fruit Run. It was only about halfway through the series we realized that there were fruit stalls all along the route, some open but many obviously no longer operational. We guess a new highway finished many of them!We collected a few other caches along the way as well.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Team Robins.**SKI Pair****
It's a bit like winter today. Light rain and the windy has a chill to it. Still were are out and about geoing. It's better than sitting in the van. Found it. Tftc
Had a look around but so much debris. Poked, prodded and moved debris aside but didn't find today.
Heading to Stanthorpe for the weekend and took a slight detour along this road.
Didn’t take long to find this one, signed log and replaced.

Nice find took a bit of looking GPS out again. Out and about with Bluecare client
We are staying in Applethorpe for a few nights to look for a few of the many caches in the area we still have not found.
Finally the rain has stopped. Grass still wet but that isn't stopping us

Heading down to Stanthorpe to the markets - just in case we needed to spend more money this side of christmas. Took the old highway through the villages, buying cherries, apricots and apples. As you do. Caching along the fruit run. As you do.
# 13 - Drew blood on the twigs etc, but at least we found this one. Thanks Team Robins for the hide.

Recently deciding to tackle the Apple art, a group of us got our heads together to solve all of the puzzles then visit the area to collect the wonderful caches between Warwick and Stanthorpe.
Our group of CHAMAD, NayFee, Triple Turmoil and myself had a fantastic weekend finding heaps of caches, we signed the logs Team TWOCAN.
Thank you to all of the COs who have spent time placing and maintaining these caches for us to enjoy, sincerely appreciated.
Thanks Team Robins for bringing us here.

I have just had the best weekend caching around the Warwick, Summit and Stanthorpe areas. With caching buddies (geonayfee, Willis007 and Triple Turmoil) for the weekend we got in a very large number of caches, completing the apple geoart, the fruit run and a few other special caches along the way. I had a fantastic weekend with lots of laughs and funny events it just made for a fun time; the puzzle solving in the lead up to the weekend was great also.
A big thanks to all the CO’s of the caches along the way; for placing and maintaining the caches for us to enjoy. Visiting this area and seeing places I would never see in a normal trip here was enlightening, so again thanks.
In the weekend I got around 180 caches so firstly apologies for the generic part to the log, I do not remember all specifically but some did stand out so I will add a little to those in my posts.
Day two and it was an early start, there is so much still to get in the area. A fun and eventful day in many ways, lol. As we started to work our way back home it was a matter of zigzagging and back tracking the caches to Warwick. The fruit run series we were setting our sites on to complete, most were easy finds, with just a couple we did not find, then there was the a few others as we passed by, thanks.

Day two on our epic journey around Stanthorpe and surrounds with Chamad, TripleTurmoil and Willis007.
After some much needed rest we woke up bright and early (Thanks Chamad for the farmyard sounds) and set off for another full day of caching around Stanthorpe to clear up the rest of the Stanthorpe Apple and a few other caches in between, then we slowly made our way back north towards Warwick while grabbing a bunch of caches we didn't get yesterday.
Same as yesterday we had a wonderful time exploring the area. I really enjoy visiting this part of the world, it's a great feeling to get out of the city and enjoy the country life.
Thank you to each and every CO for placing caches at these locations. We had a great time.

After meeting Willis007 and Chamad at a previous event over New Years, they invited me to join them on an epic geoart mission at Stanthorpe. After weeks of puzzling and planning, today was day 2 (together with Nayfee). We covered a lot of mileage, had a lot of laughs and learnt a lot along the way.
Between Stanthorpe and Warwick (on our way back to Brisbane) there are a LOT of caches to sign and we did a pretty good job of getting every single one we could - signed as Twocan to save 25 seconds of signing at each cache, as we had work to do!

Day 3 of our Granite Belt Grabathon saw us heading North back to the GC. At least today is not wet! The temperature may reach 13 degrees today but the wind is stronger so probably still an apparent temperature of around 6 degrees. No one ever said the Geocaching was meant to be easy!

One of the things Mrs Woodyrothwell and I like to do when caching is take photo logs (phlogs) of ourself. It’s a great way to remember the day and caches. I always get a laugh at some of the things my wife seems to come up with. On a country road it can be hard to come up with novel ideas. tftc
Eskies5 and I planned a trip to Stanthorpe and surrounding areas to nudge me a little closer to a milestone. This was the thirteenth stop of what would be 58 finds for the day for me. Found this cache at 8:39am with not a problem. All signed and returned. TFTC
Out for a day's caching from Stanthorpe to Dalveen and beyond, most were easy finds while a couple took a bit of searching to find

We had just been to the cheese shop nearby for a coffee after a vigorous walk on Donnelly's castle.
An easy find here indeed. As we jumped out of car and aimed phone we saw two likely places so geofriend went left and i veered right.
In about a minute she came up with the goods. We signed log and replaced cache as found.
Thanks for the cache Team Robins.
Unfortunately this is the last of the Fruit Run for this visit, but it gives us a good excuse to return.

Our last here at Stanthorpe befotre heading down to Queanbeyan for the 2019 Mega. It has been great, but with mixed success. Didn't achieve as much of the Stan's Apple puzzle series smileys as we would have hoped but we will pass this way again and will pickup and redo those ones that we missed. Heavens opened up on us and a little wet getting this one. Might be time to stop for lunch and see if the rain passes

Sorry for the generic logs but there are so many caches in this area and there are only so many things you can write. We have loved caching our way here and around the area. We are only here for a day or two so not sure how many will will get done, but we will do our best. Thank you to each and every CO for the effort that has been needed to place and maintain the caches that we were fortunate enough to make it to. Thanks.
Today is the last big day of caching in the Stanthorpe area as I will have finished collecting the new souvenirs. Many thanks to Pa for putting up with my crazy addiction to caching, and souvenirs, and for chauffeuring me around for hundreds of kms. Maybe our holiday will start now.
Decided to travel north on the back roads as neither of us fancy pulling up on the highway. We found most of those we tried for with only 2 DNFs and 28 smilies. Most caches were in good condition, in fact a few had lovely new logs! I had never been to this area before so seeing the Rabbit Proof fence here was a highlight.
Thanks to all the COs and Maintenance teams for the caches along the way. All logs were either signed Smittengranny or SG depending on my mood, the time taken to retrieve the cache and the space available for signing.

TFTC! Had to be really quick. Muggle was out for his afternoon walk along this stretch of road
Sometimes it's just about the numbers and this run was for that and if course the planetary souvenirs. I truly admire those that have done 100 or more, we were exhausted after just over 50 but that gets us half way there. We still enjoyed the driving and looking on the back roads and thank you for your effort in putting them there for us to do this run. TFTC
Thanks for the cache Team Robins
We are staying overnight in Stanthorpe and decided this was a good day to do the fruit run series and any others that may cross our path
Thanks for showing us a bit of Stanthorpe and the surrounds

WillPunkey, Scoob and I went for a day trip to Stanthorpe to see the Apple and Grape festival and find a few caches along the way. The kids and I started on the remaining Fruit Run caches we have missed on previous visits.
Mrs Esky, along with a muggle friend, travelled Stanthorpe way on a numbers run in preparation for the next milestone. However, on leaving home the weather didn't look too promising...only clearing around Applethorpe. Priorities in order...our first stop at Stanthorpe was the bakery for morning tea & a coffee to warm up...temp was 14 deg!
Down to the business of caching we worked our way around Stanthorpe before slowly caching our way north (and homewards) accumulating a record number of caches in the day for the Eskies with a total of 57...and only one brief shower along the way. Thanks to all the COs for a fantastic day.
Note: I have just realised that I signed EVERY single log for the 2nd instead of the 3rd.
