We had a good look around even with the clue in mind and couldn't find anything. Now that I see others have not found it either I expect that it no longer exists and should be archived or replaced.
Still a good spot to come for the view.
Still a good spot to come for the view.
I drove half way up and parked the geomobile at the water tanks
Well I thought that was the parking area
As I had already grabbed the GPS, phone and a few jelly beans to eat along the way, I didn't bother driving the rest of the way when I discovered the road continued
It was a pleasant stroll to the top.
Of course when I saw the steep footpath at the end I didn't blink an eyelid because I was in climb mode already [^]
At the lookout and the view was superb on a sunny morning.
Alas the view of the cache seemed to be lacking
Not many places to hide an 'Eclipse Tin' here and given the clue, I too reckon it's gone walk-about again
I searched around in the itchy grass to see if it had been tossed by some tosser, but nothing found !!
Thanks for the views

Sadly I think this one has been muggled again. ...good and proper- no sign of it on the ground either where other cachers have found it in the past.
Thank you for the cache, even though I can't log a find, the view was amazing and worth the walk up

Pulled up and could see that it would be a lot of effort to get up there so I started my journey up. AHH MY LEGS AND CALVES!!! once I go there I found cache and sat down to log. Replaced cache and took some pictures. I really enjoyed the walk down and even more so when I sat back in the car. Took geo coin. TFTC and hello from bundaberg.
In the town of Gayndah and a new cache since last time I was here. Only a small detour from the highway and a steep drive later we were at the parking area. A family of muggles was just leaving, perfect. The parents and I headed up the path towards the lookout and wow, an impressive view indeed. You can certainly see a good distance from here. I especially loved the way the plaques are set out to point at the mentioned feature, very cool. After admiring the view for a while, headed down to the cache. I looked about and soon spotted the container. I thought it had been crushed, but it's just a flatter style of tin than I've normally seen, all in good condition. TFTC Team Vertigo91 (you were a long way from home, placing this )
A short but steep walk followed by a rest at the top and geo-hubby showed me the funniest looking eclipse tin. A great 360 view and happy to say the walk down was easier. Tftc
9416 kms travelled in 21 days, one awesome eclipse observed near Mt Carbine in Northern Queensland and 712 cache finds, including a small handle of FTF's.
This was a trip I'd been planning for over 12 months with the main reason being to observe the solar eclipse on the morning of the 14th of November. I had decided to drive to Palm Cove and back, where my penthouse accommodation was located, while the rest of the family flew up and back. I love the drive and the unknown adventures that lay ahead; and I even think the last time I did one this big may have been for the previous eclipse in Australia which occurred over SA.
Apart from the great experiences, awesome scenery, and the characters met, the other reason to drive was to also do some serious caching, with the plan to stop at some power trails along the way including the Fruit Run and A.S. series near Stanthorpe on the way up and the Mid North Coast Wander series, just out of Port Macquarie, on the way back.
I had five days to travel each way with ten days in between spent in Palm Cove holidaying with my family. My route up took me from Melbourne to Tocumwal and up to Glenn Innes, through Toowoomba, Rockhampton and the coast road to Cairns while my route back was a bit more erratic. Heading from Cairns to Townsville then via Charters Towers to Rockhampton. From here it was through the amazing mining region to Roma then across to Dalby down through Stanthorpe (again) to Armidale, Port Macquarie, Wagga Wagga, Tocumwal and then home - phew.
After staying the night in Goomeri I cached my way along the Leichhardt Hwy to the Capricorn Hwy and in to Rockhampton where I arrived around 7:30 pm and stayed the night in some proper accommodation (as opposed to the back on the Prado). There were fantastic views from the lookout and took quite a few photos too. Found the cache with no log so went back to the car and got some log paper and restocked the cache. Thanks Team Vertigo91.

I'm guessing we were there just before Walkabout John, as we found the container lying on the ground about 3 metres away from where we figured it should live. Obviously muggled, with no logbook inside we placed it in a spot where we thought it would be happy. Great views from this lookout. TFTC
I visited the GZ today and found a container matching the discription.
However, it was empty and a little out of shape.
I believe it was the correct container because it could only be intentionally
placed where I found it.
Thanks for taking back to this place where I visited back in 2006.

Looked in the usual place and also all other options could not find it. Mind you it was a great place to start day 4 of caching road trip. TFTH
Found at 15.08hrs. Rested the legs and grabbed the cache. Quick someone else comming up the path. Wrote my log and hid the container. Took some photos of the view and returned to the car. The rain had stopped a little.

With the van on behind we decided that caution was the better part of valour and turned around when we could near the reservoirs and walked the last 270m.

1091. only had co-ords on this one and located not where I expected, Great view of this town.

We came to Gayndah to have a stall at the show this Saturday, too good an opportunity not to do some caching.
Found it at 1700hrs, very easy, Co-ords are spot on.
The views from here are fabulous, I took some of the town, same as TeamAstro, I've included some of the countryside to the other side.

A great lookout I'd say I would have over looked otherwise. Brilliant views. Loved the bottle tree and it's historical marking in the "car park".
Thanks to Team Vertigo91 and clear skies from TeamAstro.

Have a farm in the area and never been up to this spot. Great views. Thans for taking us here. TFTC
Even though I write quick easy find on some of my finds and after reading the logs for this one then I must have been due for a buster.
Drove up the hill parked at the bottom of the cement path and walked to the top. After 10 minutes after looking in the obvious places expanded my search and still no cache. Walked back down to the car to get my other GPSr and then walked back up. Both gadgets agreed. If not for having the phone number of the CO in my phone then this would have been a DNF. Rang CO who confirmed that I was looking in the correct location and that it was missing in action. Walked back to the car drove into town bought some mints in the right container drove back to car park walked yet again up that steep path and replaced the cache with the permission of the Co.
Found and replaced at 0815. This road up to the car park would only take a car hauling a camper trailer as there is very little room to turn around if there is another car parked up there. Whilst I was there the council arrived in a small hi ace truck to empy the rubbish bin. You will need to bring your own wring stick.

Quite a disapointing day really. Five caches on the list for our continuing meander south and by the end only two viable. Sadly, as we approached this one we came to a sign indicating no coaches. As we had the caravan on the back it was prudent not to proceed. Could we have gone on? Maybe Team Vertigo91 could say yea or nay? There is another cache around here which refers to leaving the caravan behind.
Easy find on our way to Rubyvale. It is amazing what you drive past, without caching you would never know that places like this are there, thanks for the amazing views. Found with Austrackers and Crazy Lady Lisa.
Found with Questing4 and Crazy Lady Lisa. Thanks for getting us to stop here to admire the great views. Dropped a pathtag. Thanks for the hunt
Found with AusTrackers and Questing4. Thanks for the cache and we really enjoyed the views.
Found at 9:39 AM on a lovely sunny day the views were great. I have often looked up here thinking it should have a cache, and now it does. Oh and thanks for the *FTF*
