Logs
As I'd started off being 3 months behind in my logging I am desperately trying to catch up and am mass logging to do so.
I'd come to Melbourne for the 2017 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards day and ended up staying for about 5 days
Most of the nights were spent at the kindly kmace's place although the last couple I decided to spend in the car due to unforeseen caching circumstances that had me in strange areas
Today was a very unusual day in that we did not start caching until after 2pm and then I DNFd my last cache attempt at 4.21am the following morning [)][)]
Overall I had 3 DNFs and 21 cache finds between Melbourne and Sale and back again!
This was a pretty quick find despite my GPSr today showing GZ 11m from where I found the cache
Think like a geocacher

I have been coming to community meetings at this place for a few years and have only just got into geocaching. I love the fact that these things are all over the place and only cachers know. Love it. Thank you.
I was going to have to travel to Drouin to collect my CWA branch's entries in the Craft exhibition (yay we won prizes!!), and as Kato Potato is not only a member of my CWA branch but also my bestest caching buddy, I asked if she wanted to tag along and cache after. We'd just finished packing the car with our precious cargo and headed back to the back door to grab this convenient cache. Curious eyes led to us explaining to the other CWA members what we were up to, with one excited person in the know keen to observe. I happily found it quickly, exclaiming excitedly, and once the excitement was over, the ladies were back to business as usual. TFTC Bounty Trackers
On a lovely excursion to Drouin with Mummy Short Legs to visit the CWA Creative Arts Exhibition (and collect our prizes) this afternoon and of course we took the opportunity to pick up a few local caches too.
Happily the Arts exhibition was happening in this exact building. Oh the convenience. So after collecting our goods and checking out the talented competition we ambled around to the tradesmens entrance and started the hunt. Many ladies (most known to us through CWA) wandering past were interested in the action and one had even heard of Geocaching before "but I've never seen it in action" so we were happy to introduce them to the fine sport we enjoy so much. Unfortunately most of the ladies don't really have the physical capacity to be interested in getting down where we were scrabbling! Neat little hide, happily found. Tftc. Here for the annual ficifolia festival, 3rd year in a row for us. Geelong had a hail storm a couple of hours ago and threatening sky at present. Cheers.
Taking my dad home from hospital in Melb. Handed him over to other family for the rest of the trip - decided on some down time to grab a few caches before heading back to the city. Quick find & sign on a lovely Sunday afternoon.

Today I was heading back to Melbourne airport from Warragul and had time to find a few caches along the way. The last few days had been very moderate in temperature but today Victoria turned up the thermostat and I think it hit about 36C. I managed to survive the heat and not encounter any dangerous critters as well. When I told my daughter where I was caching / errr working / this week, she told me that one of her friends from university came from Drouin so it was pretty cool to be able to make a visit and find a few caches round here. All good with this one. TFTC, Biggles.
We where looking for the Tupperware box and we found it underneath something fishy and found it
Travelled down to Drouin for my Fathers Day lunch and a little bit of time to spare so a quick find before a nice meal at Middels.
Found while out caching with gwd.aussie and d@geo. A quick find not to drop gwd.aussie off at the train station before heading home.

Found with gwd.aussie and mezza74. Luckily a quick park and grab so we could get back into the warm car and out the cold.
Thanks Bounty Trackers

Today I had to do some training in Drouin so I left early to find some caches on my way, it was still early in the morning so not too many vehicles about. Found a reasonable spot to park and quickly found the cache. TFTC
Taking the kids out for the afternoon to give caze82 an afternoon of quiet, we decided to hit the 3 remaining Drouin caches on our list. Being a super dad, I let the kids out and supervised from the car lol

The geo family had decided on a destination for a camping trip away for a few days and Seninis Campground was the destination. Some of these places we had never seen before so we were quite excited about exploring the area. The geo vehicle was packed full and we were off to enjoy some days off work and school. Thankfully for us today the coast was clear for the search which was over quickly when we guessed straight away where they cache would be. Signed and replaced as found.

As we walked towards GZ, we saw some tell-tale signs of a cache a short distance from where our GPS was pointing. The cache and contents were n good condition although the logbook was full. We left a interim replacement logbook until the CO can complete more substantial maintenance. Thanks Bounty Trackers for the cache.
Nice quick find but co-ords were a little off. We were out tonight with geo niece for her first manual driving lesson. Signed log and left a marvel Badge TFTC
I found this church to by one of the more unusual that I have come across. It certainly has some of the loveliest windows and the sun was shining through them to give us a wonderful display of their glory. GPS took us to about 8mts away but noticed the probable hide and was rewarded with a log to sign. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Found the likeliest of places by the GPS, but not to be as we moved a bit further out with our search. Kez spotted a possible hide and we were soon rewarded with a find here.
A nice Church to visit if you're passing, just for the design alone.
Thanks for the cache Bounty Trackers.

Quick find for me today. Log book appears full, plenty of empty spots still there.

Easy find for us, even though it was in the dark. Thank goodness for phone torches!
Found this just at dusk. Log book needs replacing as it's full! Thanks for the easy cache.
As is becoming a habit when bringing dear hubby on a trip, I forgot a pen to sign the log AND he found it within seconds of reaching ground zero. And he days he doesn't want to take of geocaching as a hobby! TFTC!
28/01/2016 - 5.50pm - No. 553 - 2nd for the day - with dgfb33. Finding device decided is was going to have a slip of it's own & went into "Not going to show you anything, but I will beep nicely at you" mode (Yep, dgfb had a slip at previous cache [Lakeside] ). Had to try a couple of different things to get finding device to start doing it's job again. Phew! Good co-ords and cache was soon in hand, signed & returned to it's home. Interestingly, for all the years I have lived nearish, passed through, visited etc. I can never remember being on this side of these buildings. Thanks for the cache.
I found this cache today at 4:30pm as number 45 of 53 on my Australia Day Northern South Gippsland Loop. It was nice to have a nice and easy cache find after spending about three quarters an hour over the last thee caches. Thanks from D B-A.
Another great find while in the area for the Melbourne Mega.
Thanks for adding to the enjoyment of this trip.
