My first find for the day. Today was too sunny to stay indoors so I went adventuring in what is practically my backyard. Lovely wildlife in this area, with rosellas, currawongs, fairy wrens and kookies all spotted. TFTC
What's The Manna with You Gum? was transferred from Cache Guardians to user Zeus, Hera & kids
Nice walk down to the hide. The clue made it a swift find. The log book was quite wet though and might need some attention. Thanks for bringing us to this great reserve
Nice walking area. Good clue but tall grass made it harder than exprcted: David

We had no problems finding this cache.
Unfortunately the bag was ripped and the whole contents are soaked, but the log is actually not too bad.
So we shook everything dry and put the log carefully back with the bag remnants around for as much protection as possible…. If that is possible.TFTC

Logbook is a tad wet but still signable. Thank you Cache Guardians for maintaining What's The Manna with You Gum? for us to find today.
A bit of a windy day today but once I ventured down into the Glen it was perfect for a lovely walk. The cache was nicely hidden but is quite damp but still able to be signed..the plastic bag has seen better days but I didn't have a spare..thanks hi pressure for placing the cache and Cache Guatrdians for keeping it in play
Pouring rain meant no muggles around for me to swoop in and grab this cache. Nice and easy! TFTC.
After completing an afternoon job in Rowville, I stopped along the route home to search out some caches. I enjoyed my hike through this previously unvisited reserve. Although I could hear muggles, I was undisturbed retrieving, signing and resetting this cache. The log is a little damp, and the Ziploc bag is badly damaged, but as I didn't have my caching bag on me, only a pen, I was unable to replace the bag. The log was still quite signable however.

I've looked at this reserve on the map many times, but this is the first time I've managed to get here. It definitely won't be the last!
I had a thoroughly enjoyable walk around in the company of my energetic and enthusiastic caching buddy. A nice and straightforward find (as were each of the three I did today). TFTC

Such a beautiful and peaceful area with lovely shade on a hot day out with echidna44.

Out on a very warm day with pinnacle333, we took far too long at a couple of the caches.
A lovely little walk into this cache. An easy find - but cache was full of water . Thanks hi pressure.

Nice quick find. Came at this the hard way via the swamp. Visible from the track nearby so covered up better. Thanks for placing this.
Pretty easy find, which is what I needed after crossing the creek and getting wet
Stopped off here to find this cache, different but when I saw a Multi Cache was available I decided to solve for that first.
Determining the Multi was further away than I felt like walking, I stuck to my original plan and soon had this cache in hand.

We went to visit one of my friends on the other side of the road but she was running late so i stole one of her children from her husband and did a a cache maintenance run in Belgrave and attempted sone if these caches. Found easily despite missing landmark. Tftc
Out with Fitzelfleas & Geochild to add our names to some more caches. Quick find, and I left a Trackable. TFTC
Went for a walk with someone who grew up in the area. They had no idea the path existed! Great cache. Thank you
On a Sunday outing with my geohusband in the Upper FTG area. A nice day out in this reserve. TFTC
Out for a walk with the pup and gf, beautiful day and a beautiful reserve. Thanks for placing this cache, cautious of snakes while I approached aha
After a trip to the dentist this morning, the afternoon was free for a little exploring and caching. The Never Ending Story trail was a great journey through a surprising area in the middle of suburbia!
While adventuring around Fantasia we made a short side journey to collect this traditional. All was quiet at GZ and we made the quick find.
Thanks Cache Guardians for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

Found on a warm, windy Saturday afternoon! Parked in the designated parking spot then walked along the gravel path. It was such a beautiful day I was surprised that I had the whole place to myself! I was very excited when I looked down and saw it! Love how there is a random wooden bench seat nearby too ! Signed the log and replaced exactly as found. Thanks so much for bringing me to this beautiful area, and for the fun of the hunt!
After attempting, and failing, to find the end of a local mystery cache I needed to find something in the park to keep my daily streak alive! I saw a cache near where I parked and headed back that way. Only to find some muggles way too close having a VERY deep and meaningful. So, feeling awfully conspicuous I made a quick dash to this one as the light faded quickly around me. One sad DNF, another muggle foiled, but this one was an easy grab to make to up for it.
At least the Geopups are happy for my failings as they've had a much longer walk than anticipated
Thanks for the cache, I love exploring here!

Back in to lock down, Cygnus3333 & I needed to get out into the autumn sunshine - cold though it was - to get in some exercise this weekend. This reserve we hoped would be quieter than the mountain trails - and was within our 5km - but upon arrival we found the carpark full so it seemed we weren't the only ones with the same idea... Oh well, masks at the ready we headed on to tackle the various caches here and this one proved to be a quick and easy find.
Katdogg and I went out to find a few caches in our 5km. This is usually a nice quiet spot but had to dodge a few muggles out for a walk. Cheers
Last one for the day but missed the multi since we saw it to late. Mabe next time.
Out for a morning walk for the first day of the year. Great area with caches . TFTC
I’m lucky that I’ve got so many caches within my 5k’s still to do. it feels like lockdowns never gonna end the numbers today 14 I don’t think We are gonna be let out any time soon. thank you for placing that is a really nice tree
Here on another mission and saw that this little clutch of caches in a very nice little reserve had not been visited recently. Here in Melbs on care duty so in iso for the week as the stats get worse. Luckily my mum lives close by so a ride to here got me exercising and out in the fresh air and out and about before total lockdown which I hope does not come. Discovering this reserve has been a treat to say nothing of the amount of “landcare” activity that has gone on. TFTC- enjoyed the late arvo!
Out and about with echidna44 and the men as support (sitting in the car) While we were in the area completing a series we stopped to clear this one as well. Interesting park here and meet some others taking advantage to enjoy a picnic. Nice easy find. Thanks for the cache.

Today was a cracker of a day weatherwise. We enjoyed our walk into GZ and made a quick find. Tftc Rabbitto.
I think I may have found this cache before, as the spot is very familiar. I last cached in this park back in August 2013 and I find it strange to think that I wouldn't have grabbed this one too, but for some reason I've never claimed the find. Plus, since the log book has been replaced since then I can't verify that, so today I signed the log book and am claiming the find today. TFTC!
Boy. This is such a beautiful area and a top day weatherwise to go with it. While i sat and looked at the lovely view geodog and geohubby found this one quite easily. Tftc
Such a beautiful day to explore yet another reserve we would probably never of visited if not for geocaching. A few people practicing archery and hoping their aim was on target, we stepped up our pace just in case:) Cache found, log signed and replaced.
Thank you hi pressure and Cache Guardians.
Great area.

Great area.
Lived in the area for 30 years and never been in this park. Thanks for the opportunity to collect some smiles. TFTC
As I wandered down the trail I decided to cut the corner and walk as the crow flies. Popped back out onto the trail just shy of GZ. With the area to myself I searched freely and very quickly found what I came for. Sat and signed the log before returning the cache to its hide. Now to walk back up the hill. I think I'll stick to the trails on the way back though. TNLNSL. TFTC. Kkams.
I was out and about providing support crew services for teams of geocachers walking the Oxfam Trailwalker event today. So after waving them off at Lysterfield Lake at the start of the event today I had some free time before catching them at the next check point. I decided to to check out a few caches in the area to kill the time. After a few finds this reserve was next on my list and it was certainly a good time as I seemed to have the area to myself on this Friday morning. Parked up and walked around the track to this one so it was the second of four finds around here before I needed to head off. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for placing this cache hi pressure and tot he Cache Guardians for keeping it in the game.
After the scary thought of being shot by the nearby archery club that had some lessons on, we were glad to find the GZ was tucked away behind the archery scene. Once at GZ, it was a quick find. Sadly, there is no sign of the trackable that is supposedly in the cache. Tftc
Heading down from the entry this was another quick find but I initially read this as completely different and could not determine the relevance. Now it makes more sense. Another nice cache in a lovely area
Thanks hi pressure for the cache.
Found at 8:14 pm on 6/3/19.

Early morning walk around the park before warm day later on. Nice and found. Thanks hi pressure for placing the cache.
Out before it gets too hot, yet still worked up a sweat. A nice easy find in a beautiful setting
Found after a nice leisurely walk with the kids. Kids swapped out little doll and left a little Snow White. Thank you.
Out walking with Pooch and found the other caches in here.
Only to get a screw in the tyre and had to take to local tyre place for them to fix it before l could do the school pick up... Glad l wasn't remote...

What a ripper of a walk! Lovely and peaceful. Green and clean. Really enjoyed the wander. Cheers!
Last one for the series and now back to the car...which is where? Look at the GPS, no tracks showing the way back. Look at the phone map view...cant see the track for the trees. Look at the map I happened to pick up at the gate before heading off in case of this very situation. I think Im here and its this way. Get to the shooting range gate....ummm thats not where I thought I was. Look at the map beside the gate with the "You are here" arrow. Ummm, thats definitely not where I thought I was! Matched that map with the map I got at the start and found my bearings and eventually found the right track. Its amazing I can find anything in the bush. 2 GPS's and a map and I can still be lost!! TFTC
Cleaning up caches within 5k of home today. We had done the caches surrounding this one already. Nice walk on a sunny afternoon.
Finding this cache was an odd experience. From my pre-teens until late teens I was a member of the archery club adjacent to this reserve, spending almost every weekend for seven or eight years on the field course set out in the bush that circles the open target range.
This was, it has to be said, several decades ago, so back then this reserve was a fenced off combination of abandoned quarry and dodgy unofficial local tip. So of course when not shooting several of my friends and I would sometimes take a break and get through a hole in the cyclone fence that used to run along the path that follows the creek, to do some exploring and generally stuffing about in the abandoned cars, trucks and other debris we'd find...
To come to the present, late this arvo I happened to be driving by on my way home from a day spent caching in the hills, and decided on a whim to take a quick walk around the club grounds for old times' sake, for the first time in probably 20 years or more. A nostalgic experience, to be sure, but also a very weird one, it has to be said... Old ghosts and all that...
Anyway, having reached the farthest reaches of the club grounds I went though the old gate (still same one as way back then, funnily enough) down by the creek and headed along the track a bit. I don't know what made me whip out the phone to check for caches then, but when I did found that this one was about 80m from where I was standing, so of course I had to take a look.
Once at GZ I made the find very quickly, so signed the log and put it all back in place just as the sounds of approaching dogs and their attendant muggles coming down from Glenfern Rd way reached my ears, and so not wanting to actually deal with people whilst processing the past, wandered back down to the creek and back the way I'd come.
Thanks for the cache, hi pressure. Will have to come back another day to do the other caches in this reserve and have a bit more of a look around. It's certainly a lot more attractive environment here now, in any case.

Such a stunning day and it was enjoyed by taking a stroll in a park I hadn't been to before.
After finishing the letterbox cache I made my way to the last traditional which was on my way to the multi (which I should have started first :/)
A nice quick find here and the cache is in good condition.
Thanks for the cache

Since moving from New Zealand in 2016 I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T all multiple times.
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go to is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
I enjoy finding well maintained caches in fun and unique cache containers. No one likes finding a mint tin – but a find is a find after all.
Well she was an American girl
Raised on promises
She couldn't help thinkin' that there
Was a little more to life
Somewhere else
After all it was a great big world
With lots of places to run to
Yeah, an d if she had to die
Tryin' she had one little promise
She was gonna keep
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
It was kind of cold that night
She stood alone on her balcony
She could the cars roll by
Out on 441
Like waves crashin' in the beach
And for one desperate moment there
He crept back in her memory
God it's so painful
Something that's so close
And still so far out of reach
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
