Not here Sad

My apologies for the found log on this cache. I pressed the wrong button and logged another cache onto this one. It has since been deleted.

19-Oct-14
Couldn't find it. But amazing view all the same. Thanks

18-Oct-14
Was Hereford a solid 25 mins and couldn't find. Please come back and check to see if it is still here

17-Oct-14
Looked around the area and turned over many a rock. Perhaps come and check to see if the cache is still here. Thanks for the great view

17-Sep-14
Looked for a while, no luck finding the cache. Fantastic view was worth it though.

Looked under all rocks but nothing.

27-Jul-14
We looked behind and turned over every rock and pebble but to no avail. We found lots of broken glass though. The view was spectacular and almost made the failed search worthwhile.

20-Jul-14
Nice little find close to where I grew up TFTC

27-Apr-14
Wasn't behind a rock when I found it but is now...no muggles but lots of dogs barking.

Epic Fail [B)]

06-Apr-14
thanks for bringing is to this great lookout!

09-Mar-14
Awesome cache! Found it whilst night caching with the beesharps! Amazing views of the city!!!

09-Mar-14
The most amazing view of the city! Took a bit of searching found it in the end though! Think really small when searching!

08-Jan-14
Ahhh! No luck. And I took my Nonna with me!

03-Jan-14
Lovely city view and quick find. TFTC

06-Dec-13
We did have fun lifting up lots of rocks and eventually were rewarded with finding the cache in its good hiding spot - well hidden indeed! Lovely views overloking Melbourne this afternoon even though it was grey and cloudy.
TFTC LouiseAnn and bringing us to see the lovely view - must come back on a sunny day!

16-Nov-13
Was about to give up after looking at all the rocks and the recent work that has been done here. Still tucked in safe and sound. I felt very exposed out in the open.

21-Oct-13
Beautiful location, but sadly dnf.

29-Sep-13
second dnf today,, very sad. Will be back tho, and the view was spot on today.

03-Sep-13
Two times, still can't find.

24-Aug-13
Up on the hill today I took many photos. Knowing the terrain of the area here I promised a good vantage here to my company, who was also suitably impressed with the view from GZ. After parking nearby and strolling through the park it was CazaG who found the cache in seconds. As usual I was far too busy fiddling about with my camera to have a chance at finding it first.
Cheers LouiseAnn. I may have to return to GZ of an evening some time for the light show.

14-Aug-13
Not the greatest hide in Melbourne but by far the greatest view in Melbourne. Thank you for bringing to such an amazing place. Tftc Tnln sl

Find 833 at 21:50. I was out caching with Burge tonight for a quick run around the Maribyrnong area to pick up a few of the new caches that have been published since our last visit. We found 7 caches in just over an hour which was pretty good going. This was our sixth find for the night. We had both been to this spot previously, but on our last visit the cache had been muggled so we were unable to locate it. However, we were more than happy to return here tonight because the view is awesome! It's a pity that photos at night don't do it justice so you'll just have to come up here and see for yourself! The hint made the final location easy to find and we were soon on our way to the next cache on our list.

Thanks for the cache, LouiseAnn!

13-Aug-13
Found this one on the way to other great cache in the area. Picked just beacuse of the pure luck! Nice hide.
Thank you

13-Aug-13
Found this cache when I was in the area looking for another nearby cache. I did not bring my camera, so no photo today, but thanks to this cache showing me the view I plan on brining my camera back to take some photos of the city view another time.

Finding the cache was relatively straight forward. I did read some logs so I knew what I was in for.

TFTC LoueseAnn, TNLN (since it is too small to fit anything!)

Out caching with DimaGepard after work.
Found at 13-AUG-2013 on Day 13 of 31 Days of Geocaching

EDIT: Replaced log with real details.

A very quick find by my geocashing friend SpottyTeapot. 1st ever night find. An amazing view of the city.

Our first ever nighttime cache with teamtraveller76 Found quite quickly with great coordinates
love the view from here

24-Jul-13
I had been working in Moonee Ponds today and while this was taking me further from home, I decided I needed to come back and give it another try after my last unsuccessful effort.

I hunted around on both sides of the fence for a while with no more success than last time. Not wanting to make it DNF's for the one cache, I resorted to PAF or should I say CO. The help provided wasn't that much help because the hide has been disturbed and part of it is no longer in place.

Anyway, with a very clear idea of what I was looking for I kept on looking. In the end I did manage to find the cache. If you read the Hint, replace the word "behind" with the word "under" and "small" really does mean "very small" (I don't think I have too much away there...).

Thanks LouiseAnn for the cache and the help. Sorry, no photo today...I was in too much of a rush to beat the worst of the traffic and I forgot.

11th day of consecutive finds!!! A quick find with the phone as didn't have this one loaded on my GPS TFTC

Found on a cold Monday night run with the TDC, we had plenty of laughs while out finding some caches. Great Location! Thanks for the cache.

06-May-13
Found on another Demolition Crew (TDC) run. As always, another great caching adventure, with many caches found, including 2 x tree climbs for the night and a visit to many different locations. The highlight of the run, 7 x FTF's. Not a bad effort.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Great to be able to get this one off the list. Top view indeed. TFTC.

25-Apr-13
Not found at 16:36
In the area grabbing a couple of puzzle caches and came past a second time to find the little park unoccupied.
I searched back and forth along the fence line but no luck finding the cache.
Thanks LouiseAnn for bringing me here. The view is well worth the trip, cache or no cache.

29-Mar-13
Nice hide. My GPS has been off all day so it took a bit of hunting around

14-Mar-13
Suscoe's 9th find on a day out and about in the west of Melbourne.
We were not sure what would happen here given recent logs but thankfully the cache was found in the second spot we looked.
So with that done, log signed and the cache returned carefully we then took in the view.
Shame about the rubbish littering this spot as it really is a little gem of a spot.
However we were quite amazed by the substantial size of some of the houses. Must be some money around here.
Thanks to LouiseAnn for placing this cache in this spot.

22-Feb-13
The last time I was over this way for work, this cache was missing - presumed "muggled". Well, the cache had been replaced and I was back this way for work so although the recent logs were not encouraging, I thought I would give it a try. I found GZ without any trouble and picked the likely locations based on the Hint but no cache could I find...the evidence of previous searches was clear to see and after a good look around, I think the cache has gone again...well at least the view was worth coming for Smile.

10-Feb-13
Nice view, couldn't find a green tube anywhere.

08-Feb-13
Wasn't where the hint led us but after a good old search we managed to locate the cache- such a lovely view =)

16-Jan-13
Apologies for not logging this sooner, I recently found a list of caches that I never got around to logging online. This cache was found late 2012 but I don't recall the date. So I'm logging it with today's date because I really don't want to mess up my nice round number of 700 caches for the year by adding extras!

Great view! But I felt very exposed at GZ so I decided my shoelace was loose. Thanks LouiseAnn for bringing me here and for the smiley.

16-Jan-13
Couldn't see it, lifted up all the rocks back and forth along the fence.

05-Jan-13
When I got to GZ, I had a feeling of dejavu.
I know that I was here in the past and I know that I found this cache as well.
For the life of me either it is a new one in the same spot, or I just forgot to log it initially all that time ago.
Anyhow, lovely view and thanks for gettin getting me to this area again!!

01-Jan-13
Beautiful day to start our 2013 caching. Obviously this is a great spot to view New Years fireworks from. From the debris left behind in the park, it looks like we missed quite the party last night. Tftc

10-Dec-12
A short stop off at lunchtime today, great views indeed, nice to sign in a brand new cache and logsheet !!

PS. you may want to update the hint for this one.

I visited today, with a new container, so this cache is up and going again. I have also taken another photo of the view

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the page and post a note every month or so to keep everyone up to date.

15-Nov-12
Cache is no longer there and needs replacing.

06-Nov-12
The cache has unfortunately been muggled and needs replacing. I've previously found this cache, so I can tell for sure it's no longer there.

03-Nov-12
Sadly seems like previous weed spraying around the area has created a multitude of dead plants (hooray for the hint!!) we gave this search location a good attempt, however also seems evidence of a small area near the gps co-ordinates has recently been burnt off...

13-Oct-12
After spending a lot of time in the Bayside area recently, Burge and I decided it was time to head back around Melbourne's West (although we were now starting to head further North) to pick up some of the newer caches in the area. We were targeting traditionals and amazingly this was DNF number 8 for the evening on a night that produced nearly as many DNF's as it did finds!

The view of the city from here certainly made up for the fact that we couldn't find the cache. I attempted to take a picture with my iPhone but it just didn't do it justice. I second the other recent logs on this one and will return once someone has been able to find this one again.

04-Oct-12
Hunted all around, with no sign of it
Grass along Fence line recently sprayed and now sparse & dead, so may have been muggled perhaps
Still, the view is very fine

04-Oct-12
Unless we are looking in the wrong spot the entire fence line has been sprayed. May need to church this cache it may have been muggled.

07-Sep-12
A bit unoriginal and very very easy! Still, thanks for the find Smile

06-Sep-12
gee thanks Lana.Meow

27-Aug-12
Nice view. Lucky I came here on sunny day. Thanks for the cache.

19-Aug-12
Wow, what a view. That was incredible!! Would love to come and look at the fireworks on NYE from this park.

Still shaking my head at the size of some of those houses. I think our place would fit in one room!

The cache was easily spotted - possibly too easily as it was quite exposed. I tied to hide it a bit better but it wasn't easy.

TFTC and bringing us here. Definitely one of my favourite places.

18-Aug-12
This was a perfect choice for my first cache to find, as I live right near by, and have been here many times before.

It's so cool to know that all the times I've been here there has been this hidden cache which I had no idea about.

Here's a photo that I took just a couple of weeks ago, before I knew about this cache.

22-Jul-12
Quick and easy find, what an amazing view these houses have of the city. It was gorgeous as the sun was setting. TFTC.

20-Jul-12
Ah, at the end of a long week you don't want brain busters caches - you want a peaceful dusk view of city lights . Thanks for bringing me here ... now I'm off to find some red wine...

14-Jul-12
Wow this certainly is a great view of Melbourne. The cache was found quickly, and as it was still a little drizzly I had to sign the log under the cover of the umbrella. Thanks LouiseAnn for the cache and showing me this impressive view.

This view of Melbourne certainly highlights the various ages and developmental foci of the city. Congratulations!

TNLN . . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt LouiseAnn.

08-Jun-12
I visited the cache today, and previous finders are right, there is little or no cover for the cache any more, but the cache seems to be surviving ok. Here is my photo from today's visit. Thanks to the previous finders who have also added photos.

03-Jun-12
Yes it sure is a lovely view from GZ and a nice place to live with it - Nice to see photos on the cache page . tftc LouiseAnn

02-Jun-12
First one for that evening by the geodudes.

02-Jun-12
Pretty easy find, good view, cold

25-May-12
Nice and easy! Awesome view of Melbourne city!

19-May-12
Enjoyed the views from neighbouring caches as well as here.
My biro gave up writing just as I tried to sign the log. A new one was retrieved from the car and everything packed away nicely.

Number 3 for the day. A nice easy find after another tough climb on my way up the river.

Well worth it for the view. Thanks.

29-Apr-12
Found 9.00am
Managed to park quite close and enjoyed the walk ot GZ in the now warming sun. The coords were spot on which made for a nice easy find. The view from here is just great and one that we have enjoyed a couple of times while caching in this area.

TNLNSL
Thanks LouiseAnn for bringing us back here.

22-Apr-12
A quick and easy find, I was a little surprised it has last so well in what is quite an exposed hiding place. The views are great and its good that they kept some plots as parkland so everyone can enjoy it. The photo from my GPS camera is pretty wide-angled so I included a cropped city close-up too. TFTC

17-Apr-12
Kath's 1st find. Little hard to find it in the dark Smile Great view and will be back for photo's.

10-Apr-12
This was a nice little lunch time spot.
The view IS fantastic.
Ignorance is bliss, now I want to move house.
Thanks for sharing this location. I'll bet it's quite specky at night.
The cache was relatively easy to find and is in good nick.
Cheers

29-Feb-12
Today ended up being a pretty big caching day with 22 finds including 5 multis and The 3rd Leap event but also saw me ending up in the south west side of Bacchus Marsh at 4:00am. It's funny sometimes where you can find yourself when you follow a trail of caches you havent done. The highlight of the afternoon / evening was the event but I was very happy to finally complete the multis which have been on my radar for a long time.

Some great views from GZ, even at night. With some light drizzle about I didn't stay too long to take them in before looking for the hide. I soon found it and had the log signed.

Thanks LouiseAnn.

21-Feb-12
Found after working nearby, Thanks Lousine Ann, that's two in two days.. I was in the area and this was the closest unfound, what are the odds.. Thanks for the hide, and the view.. Might have to bookmark this one for a future photography visit.. find #2211

05-Feb-12
Nice little view Smile

27-Jan-12
Quick find after test driving a new caching mobile not far from here. Warm day and not a muggle in sight anywhere. This one took me a few mins, but had in hand eventually. Many Thanks to LouiseAnn for the cache.

24-Jan-12
Thanks for the great view

07-Jan-12
Found today while out finishing off a few local cahes. TFTC

03-Jan-12
#24 Great view, cool container. There are some pretty shmick houses around this area, never been up this way before so TFTC

20-Dec-11
A delightful day so the view was great. We spotted the hide glistening in the sunlight - not much we could do to conceal it as the plants aren't providing any cover. TFTC

20-Dec-11
It is a nice view. Usually see this view from the next hill around - I think I have done two or three caches there. (and numerous bike rides).
All the plants around GZ are more than a little dead, making the hide a bit obvious atm.
Sorry no camera (not even a GPSr today!)
Thanks, Robmc.

07-Dec-11
TFTC. Found with no worries.

28-Nov-11
Found on my way home from work, shortly before 2AM. Would never have gone here, but for the cache, and yes, by night you get a good view of the city. Unfortunately I did not have my cameral with me. Thanks for the hide.

31-Oct-11
Cloudy view of the city here today but still a great view - easy find TFTC

18-Oct-11
In Avondale Heights for the Warm event of the Tuesday night western Series of Street Orienteering. Nice short event so plenty of time to find a cache while it was still light. This one was perfect as I could enjoy the view both in daylight and, a few minutes later, as the lights came. Slightly trickier than the notes would imply, but cache soon spotted and signed. Keep up the great work LouiseAnn, I always enjoy your caches.

16-Oct-11
I have been in this valley several times both caching and not, but have never been up to this rather good vantage point. It took me a few minutes to find the cache as I always seem to struggle with these. Got there in the end though and admired that view once more, thanks LouiseAnne.

28-Sep-11
I was surprised by how long this took to find. Clearly was thinking was too much about it. I imagine there would be some amazing photos later in the afternoon when the storm came through. TFTC

26-Sep-11
Nice hide, beautiful views Smile thanks

26-Sep-11
After a relatively short hiatus from my usual Monday night caching run, I was able to start them back up again with my good friend jsmyong55 tonight. I picked him up from Melbourne University just after 5 pm and we headed out to the northwest of town to pick a few up there. There was a fair bit of walking tonight, so we didn't bag the numbers we thought we might but we certaininly had fun grabbing the ones we did. This one had us stumped for a minute or two as we were looking for something bigger. We found it after a brief search. Thanks LouiseAnn.

26-Sep-11
After a long break from our usual caching runs, Trailrunning and I met up tonight to continue on another awesome night out. We did quite well tonight, seeing that many caches are quite distant from each other, not that we were racing against time anyway. Many long walks and "adventures", even being poisoned by nasty noodle shop.

The view even at night is lovely. We had a little trouble looking for this at first but with keen eyes from Trailrunning, we had the cache in our hands soon after. TFTC LouiseAnn Smile

25-Sep-11
Found by The Empire @ 2:30pmish
What a great view! There is another cache, with the same name, over on the northern fringe of the city with similar views. The actual cache was found pretty quickly and I spent the next few minutes taking some pics. It was blu skies all over today, thanks for the cache LouiseAnn.

23-Sep-11
A mild day for a ramble along the Maribrynong River and its tributaries. Onto the 903 Bus and off into the suburban streets. Melbourne View was the first of the day and it is a fine view indeed (if you like Cities). After a bit of fussing about I applied some commonsense - that is read the caching notes and logs and there it was! A nifty micro. Thanks to 'LouiseAnn' for the cache and its fine view.

22-Sep-11
Very small but easy. Thanks!

18-Sep-11
Found by ElmoJo101. Fantastic view. Never realised that side of the city had such a great outlook. Thanks for showing us another side!

17-Sep-11
Very good cache well camouflaged nice view and found a free golfball. TFTC.

06-Sep-11
A short run from Aberfeldie, I like running these short, sharp slopes... A great view of the city in fading light, the Eureka tower was catching the last of the sun. The phone did not take a good picture of it... The cache was quickly found and I especially like the rolling helper. Thanks.

30-Aug-11
I realised this morning that I don't yet have any finds in August (been so busy), and the month is almost over. Here's a quick one close to home to remedy that situation. Great views, and a fast find. Cheers!
