Stuck the hand down through the cobwebs. Thanks for the cache on a blue sky morning.
Arrived at GZ to be greeted by an angry little bee. Ended up getting stung on my forhead for my efforts. Thankfully, the cache was not in the same tree and was soon found. The log was signed and returned as found.
Found today on our return journey from Lameroo SA where we enjoyed the SA annual June LWE Event which is attended in a different SA country town every year.It has a different theme every year. This year was called Lameroo Ludicrous Legwarmers and all things 1980s. There were, meals, games, skits, dress ups, dancing, frivolity, competitions for all kinds things with camping and accommodation options.Every cacher has to try it at least once. This one took us a bit of a while to locate, probably because we were avoiding the spider webs on our first and second pass.TFTC
Day 6 of my holidays today I left Lameroo after the amazing weekend at the event and made my way into Victoria. I managed to find 36 caches today and only 1 DNF today. I got as far as the Pink Lakes in the Murray Sunset National Park where I set up camp.Spent way longer than I should have looking for this but sometimes you don't see what is straight in front of you,TFTC cruisinblues
No blues today. Winter finally here which still makes for good caching. On a multi mission with weirdobiker at the Lameroo Ludicrous Leg Warmers events in SA and soon heading back east via a through different LGA's. Its been great exploring the country out west with plenty of highlights to remember. TFTC and the lure.
First find of the day. Didn't see any birds.Thanking you for the Traditional Cache that you placed cruisinblues
Caching from WA west coast to ACT for 2 megas. TFTC. Took me a little while to find. I think all the webs distracted me.
This was a quick find while driving past on my way to Tailem Bend and then the Adelaide Mega. Didn't see any Blue Bonnets or any other bird whist in the area.
Despite a really good hunt around, and up and down, and all over, we didn't find your cache today. Nup... not a thing Nil. Nought. Nothing. Could be we have cache blindness. Could be we just need some more experience finding them... But seriously - maybe it was in the hole behind those bees... we checked all the other holes! Sticky honey cache ?? Thanks for the challenge anyway cruisinblues ,will place on the watch list and return asap or when it's been found or maintained!
Sparkie and Goldy are back for a special Christmas catchup caching session today. We are targeting the Lamaroo/Pinnaroo area today. We met up in Mount Barker and decided to drive straight to Pinnaroo. However, on the way there, we discussed how the Victorian border is only 5km away from our destination. So, we decided to pop over the wall to find a cache here since we had already come this far.Unfortunately, this one wasn't able to be located today. A swarm of bees prevented us from searching freely, I tried and the bees did not like it.Another time, perhaps.
TFTC cruisinblues for your cache Blue Bonnet that we found today.
Today and the next couple of days are travel days as we make our way to the Mega in Rutherglen. We are travelling in a motorhome with a car in tow , so limited a little to where we can stop and turn around. We tend to only cache along the route with limited detours. We targeted a few caches as we travel the Mallee Highway, this was one we targeted.
Find count : 15872

On our travels we stopped to grab this cache, a nice quick find just the way we like it, thanks for placing this cache
Found while on my way to Pinnaroo for the morning. An easy find off the main road away from the traffic. TFTC.
#18867. Day 4 of our Vic/SA trip with Robmc the geodogs and our bicycles. High cloud, cold winds and a day spent on the road gathering a few caches along the way to Loxton.
In all these years since publication I don't think the car-swallowing holes have improved. We pulled off the road here and decided to make this our lunch stop. A quick find and sign of the cache before lunch and one large hole avoided as we turned the car around to continue the journey.
Thanks cruisinblues

Day four of our short South Australian trip with BettyBoo3747 and the geo-doggies.
Starting at Patchewollock, we cached the roads to Loxton.
Not a blue bonnet or a parrot to be seen! Not even any Ross family members either.
We did see some substantial holes in the ground though! (and a cache)
Thanks, Robmc.

Found with catnap777 ducking back into Victoria from Pinnaroo for just this one cache in map #3 before heading back to SA and North again.
Smart geocachers would do well to read the cache page properly before approaching GZ. We were lucky and just missed being swallowed.
Leaving our overnight accomodation in Horsham early Friday morning, we continued our loopy loop trip from Tatura to a Community Celebration Event in Mildura. While Pinnaroo would seem a little out of the way, catnap777 and I were chasing caches in different counties and road map pages for challenges so we travelled as far West as Bordertown before taking a right to Renmark to get there. From Mildura it was then down to Ouyen and home via SwanHill in time for work Sunday arvo. We even tickled the tip of Victoria by finding its Northern most cache along the way which was another highlight for both of us.
TFTC cruisinblues. This little "out of the way" cache went a long way to aiding our challenge cache aspirations. (GCY98X) [^]

Found and signed with dalerious . There are two species of parrot in the genus Northiella, but unfortunately we did not see one; nor did we lose the Hilux in one of those holes [xx(]. We popped back into Vic from SA for this one to tick off a page from a certain map book . Thanks cruisinblues for the cache.
The Trip
We talked about planning this odyssey months ago, but put the finishing touches to the plan in the last couple of weeks.
We were hoping to undertake two challenges. One was to log a cache in as many counties in Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales as we possibly could, as well as logging caches that were placed on the pages of the UBD Victorian Road Atlas as well.
dalerious got to work strategically picking caches that we needed. No easy task, but he is so adept at it. I get the car and supplies ready, and drive.
We had only 2 full days to do all this in, as well as an event to attend to in Mildura.
Quite an ask, but yet again dalerious and I not only marked of all the caches we had on our list, but we were lucky enough to add more.
We had an awesome time away travelling around hop, skipping and jumping from one state to the next. With the exception of hitting one Kangaroo, no damage to the Hilux or us thank goodness, I loved driving around this beautiful area.
Next big trip Tasmania........ Bring it on!

Hi cruisinblues, I found Blue Bonnet today. I am visiting McLaren Vale for our school holidays in Victoria. Collecting a few smilies on the way.
Took me a little longer to find this one with all the knocks on crannies.
Many thanks cruisinblues for providing and maintaining this game piece for our enjoyment.

After a busy week finding about 1000 wherigos in South Australia I made my way back home, covering almost 900km over 3 states in one day going the scenic route from Swan Reach to Swan Hill and then back south.
It was a beautiful sunny morning to be wandering around country Victoria.
I didn't see any parrots here, but did see the blue bonnet and signed the service book .
Great to see the original logbook is still here after more than 10 years.
Thanks, cruisinblues.

Adelaide to Melbourne the long way around, after diverting for two potential FTFs out towards Loxton. Best to leave some caches on Highway 8 for when I’m with the muggle.
First cache in Victoria! A fairly quick find; it’s quite warm out this way and I’m keen to get back to the car.

We found it!!! It wasn’t that easy at first but then when we found it it wasn’t really that hard.
We are returning home to Sydney after a windmill quest to Adelaide. We were curious about the Blue Bonnet and fortunately had reception to look it up on line because there were none here. In fact we were the only creatures in sight for miles! Enjoyed the stop and hunt. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek

We found this cache today on our Loxton - Pinnaroo - Ouyen Caching Expedition. Another quick passing stop on the way through. Thanks from D, HA, H & A B-A.
We're camping at Murrayville and decided to drive out to the border and then work our way back, collecting all the roadside caches as we go. I walked past this cache several times as I circled the trees searching and M was just getting out of the car to help when I finally spotted it. That always happens!

Sorry that I have missed logging this earlier. Unfortunately, this is not the only one. Grateful that this was a quick find as Papi4506 and I were the only ones out of the 5 vehicles that hadn't found it until now. Thanks for the cache.
Unfortunately, we didn't see the blue bonnet today. This was a nice quick find which we appreciate as we are travelling with others that have already found this cache so they are waiting for us in town.
Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.

After an event at Rocket Lake Saturday we have managed to cross Murray Sunset east to west and now north to south via the Border Track mostly. We camped near the rock holes last night and headed down here as we continued our journey south.
A airing up nearby we headed down the blacktop to Pinaroo for lunch and a refuel

Feathertop and my epic trip to SA. has nearly come to an end. An early get up meant that we had time to discover a few more caches before the event and then head home. This was one of them.
I left my GPS in the car and the phone is not good at zeroing in on GZ. walked right past it before feathertop spotted it.

On a geocaching road trip from Brisbane to the Mega in Queanbeyan via a little detour through South Australia and Victoria.
Stayed at Murrayville last night and was on my way to the border event in Sth Australia when I remembered the 2 States in a Day Challenge. Oops! Luckily there was some phone reception and I discovered this one wasn't too far away, so I turned around to come back and look for it. Reception wasn't as good here and it took a few minutes to work out which side of the road it was on but a quick find after that.
All good here.

A quick stop and a nice and easy find.
A huge weekend away, with over 2000km being driven over 3 days from Adelaide to Mansfield via swan hill and Echuca, then return via Bendigo and St Arnaud. The target was to collect 11 new local government areas and mostly stop and do some multis.
But the main goal was tour of Mansfield, a cycling tour consisting of 3 stages over 2 days (Saturday and Sunday).
Stage 1: 14km Individual time time trail.
Stage 2: 76km road race finishing up old Tolmie
Stage 3: 46km road race finishing up the top of mt bulla.
Wednesday I left Adelaide for Victoria via pinnaroo, I decided I would stop when I had enough of driving. I camped in the back of a cemetery yes a cemetery, nice and peaceful in Nyah. Thursday I made my way from Nyan to Mansfield via Swan Hill, Echuca and Shepparton with 2 trips over the boarder. A lot of DNFs on caches as some were barrow red off due to road works and others I must if stuffed up. I ended up camping the night in Mansfield. Friday I held my event in Mansfield with a big show of 1 (just myself)!!! And went for a drive up mt bulla. Saturday was mainly racing and Sunday after the race I made my way back to Adelaide via Victorias oldest cache and some new roads through the middle of victoria that I had never been on before.. With arrival on Monday at 1am back home. A big trip out and a great weekend away with a little under 100 finds.
Thanks for the cache placements by all the cache owners.

Charlicorn and I went on a 12-day, 3808km roadtrip from the Southern Highlands of NSW to Gawler in SA and back, to attend the Inline Hockey National Championships representing NSW. This was all new territory for us so of course quite a bit of geocaching happened along the way and at the various places we visited, although hockey commitments and the physical demands of competition meant it wasn't a high numbers mission. Instead we focused on specific caches such as Earthcaches, highly-favourited ones, long-unfound ones and those which ticked off boxes in my stats. But we picked up plenty of caches we just happened to wander past as well. All up a very successful geomission and, returning with bronze medal in hand, not too bad from a hockey perspective either.
Today we were starting our homeward journey, with an overnight stop in Wodonga as our goal. This was another nice quick find along the way. TFTC!

Day 3 of my latest road trip in Australia has me spending 5 days travelling through undiscovered regions in Vic and SA. Today I started in Naracoorte and finished in Swan Hill. 3 states today. 23 caches incl 1 EC, 2 Multi's and a letterbox hybrid. It started of rainy and stayed that way most of the day but not too bad and I stayed dry.
#11 - All I've seen this trip is bird after bird after bird. Now I have a cache in a bird friendly area and no birds to be found! Oh well, cache found quickly and in good condition.

Since moving from New Zealand in 2016 I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T all multiple times.
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go to is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
I enjoy finding well maintained caches in fun and unique cache containers. No one likes finding a mint tin – but a find is a find after all.
Well she was an American girl
Raised on promises
She couldn't help thinkin' that there
Was a little more to life
Somewhere else
After all it was a great big world
With lots of places to run to
Yeah, an d if she had to die
Tryin' she had one little promise
She was gonna keep
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
It was kind of cold that night
She stood alone on her balcony
She could the cars roll by
Out on 441
Like waves crashin' on the beach
And for one desperate moment there
He crept back in her memory
God it's so painful
Something that's so close
And still so far out of reach
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl

The second day of caching either side of the border track near Pinnaroo, this time focusing on the Victorian side, targeting a few specific caches. Our main target for the day was to do Dessert Penguin and Mesa Rocks and then any other potential caches we had time for. It was a pleasant, all be it long hike into the main caches, though the views at both GZ’s made it all worth it. Logs were stamped and information for the earth cache was collected and we proceeded to make our way back out. We ended up having time for a few more caches on the way out, bust as it got dark we made our way back home, after a long day.
