Before being joined by all of Davinells, Snickersallan & E_Smiley for a couple of nights at Queen Mary Falls I got to spend the day in Warwick hunting the new caches, a couple of archived caches and anything else that I stepped over (read: made a huge detour)…
My third Archived Cache of the day… and once I found the access point I spent awhile examining the only two features at GZ…
With little or no information to go on, I eventually had to call it and walk away…

This was on the archived list so we decided to make a visit.
The hardest part was finding our way into GZ not being from this area.
Finally we got there.
There was a few muggles allowing their mutlies have a run around the park behind the fence.
We parked in front of GZ and I sneaked in and grabbed the cache and brought back to the geomobile and signed the cache.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks THE CASHE HUNTERS All good with this archived cache

Continuing the theme with finding these old Cashe Hunter caches. Were they the cache hunters or the cache placers?
Thanks Cashe Hunters
Thanks Cashe Hunters
I was passing through the area on my way to a FTF and thought I would stop and check on a few archived caches. This one is still available and in good condition! I signed the log and then replaced the cache as I had found it.

Cache # 2610, Found @11:49:00 AM.
Conflicting info between the smart phone and my gps on this one. looks like my GPX file is over a week old. It seems a lot of caches in town by the Cashe Hunters have been disabled in the past week.
Still, I had the coords, why not have a look.
yep, its still there.
Thanks to THE CASHE HUNTERS for the cache

Found this one with Aussie Liahona helping them find a few they had missed from a previous trip. There were a few muggles around but they were too busy packing up their dogs to bother us. It was a bit of a challenge to get the cache out once we had in in sight but we got it and made our mark.. TFTC
Ha, ha, ha. As usual GeoKay was driving, putting in the co-ords, and asking questions. I obviously didn't ask the right questions at this one and GeoBob was admiring the drive and not reading the cache notes. We took off down a dirt road that became two tracks for the wheels with grass in the middle and eventually came to a spot where we could turn around but from where we couldn't access the cache. At this point GeoBob got himself into gear and told me we needed to access GZ from off Wentworth Street. Aha! That made all the difference. We arrived near to GZ to find some dog owners loading their best friends into their vehicles so they weren't interested in us. Got ourselves right up to GZ and I struggled through to where I needed to be to grab the cache. It was in good condition and gave me some needed exercise, lol. Thanks for the cache The Cashe Hunters. [^][^] The mentioned TB was not in the cache.
Memo to George: READ the cache description and you might spend less time driving around. Came at this from the west at first, then found the way in from the east. A quick find thanks, but no swaps today. Tftc.
Found 9:47am , find # 2455
We're off to Queensland for a week, staying at Stradbroke Islands with some friends from Brisbane.
This is day 3 of our holiday and we're driving from Warwick to meet our friends at the Cleveland Ferry terminal.
Along the way we found a number of caches.
This one was find number 4 of 15 for the day.
Thanks THE CASHE HUNTERS.

Definetly came from the wrong direction on this one, but thats all part of the fun of caching. Parked further away then needed but soon arrived at the GZ. Found the cache in the first place I looked and soon had the log signed. Now where did I park the car? TFTC
2569 Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1500 on our way north. The container had water in it but the log was dry. Did a little maintenance. SL Tnx THE CASHE HUNTERS.
Up from brisbane to look after nieces and nephew while the next one is born. Waiting for a friend's labour to progress, so I filled in some time geocaching!
Neighbour's dog chased car as I drove up, but lost interest. Nice spot. TFTC!

Found my way to GZ eventually Not a soul around today. A nice quick find at GZ. A dog chased the car on the way out
Very Secretive location. Extremely deceiving hide. Really good find. TFTC TSLS.
What a nice quiet place. Found the cache quickly. No TB in cache as per inventory. TFTC.
Found as part of our post new year trip north from Newcastle to Warwick. A fairly easy find one we managed to scramble in to the hide. Thanks for the Cache.
Found with stairman1. I was hoping that there would be dogs chasing the lures but not today. There were however some geodogs playing ball. I quickly grabbed this one. The log is in good order but there was no bug in here. Off to the next one. TFTC.
Took goldielover and I more time to find a way to get to the cache than to find it. Goldielover quickly grabbed it though. All in great condition.

I had tried this one before and got snookered by the Nuvi directions, this attempt it tried to send us the same way but the description gave us the correct street. Still took a couple of attempts to find our way into the correct entrance but once I got that sorted Mrs RF made a quick find.
Took nothing but memories and left nothing but our tag and footprints.
Hide, log and container are in good nick.
Thanks for the cache THE CASHE HUNTERS.

This was the 4th cache find in our caching run today at 10:56.
(So this is our 5224th total find.)
Wow, a cache large enough to contain some swaps and a trackable, which we grabbed to move on.
Took: Nothing
Left: Doll

dry, dusty and deserted would be an apt description of this park this afternoon. No problem in locating the park and then even less trouble in finding the cache.
Took nothing but left a traveller.

Easy find -once we worked out how to get here, gps r had us trying to come in all sorts of wrong ways -I guess we should read the description better.

An easy drive-by find. I had to read up about Lure Coursing, and it seems a stange "sport" TFTC, THE CASHE HUNTERS.

Out and about for a BIG day caching with my sister (doscrapbooking) and caching buddy ( IolantheK).
We have now made it to Warwick and still finding them thick and fast. No one around today so we were able to drive right up to this one.
Thanks for the cache.

Nice simple one 4th for the day. Took sewing kit (it was my birthday present from yesterday ) left lion. Tftc
I never even knew this park existed! The geokids had spotted this potential cache hide as soon as we got there and quickly had the cache (thank goodness because I wasnt crawling in there ... lol) Took TB , left sewing kit! TFTC
We were filling up this morning at BP and decided that as this one was just around the corner we should give it a shot before heading on south via the "riches" of Stanthorpe. Left TB. TFTC.
Found and logged at 11:20, A quick pick up on my shart stay in Warwick

We entered frrom the right street but ended up in the cemetery and had to re-trace our steps before we got to the right way in. Way too early for anyone else to be around.

We had tried this one some time back and not found a good approach. This time we still got the approach wrong but it was close enough to allow us to walk to GZ. TFTC
We had tried this one some time back and not found a good approach. This time we still got the approach wrong but it was close enough to allow us to walk to GZ. Cache found well concealed and in good condition. Dropped off 2008/014 Cacher Geocoin to continue it's travels. TFTC
Missed this one last time I was in town so with Fangsoki driving managed to sort it out today. I was navigating when soon Fang decided I was telling porkies and remembered the optimal route inbound to this one. A little bit of bouncing up the dirt road and soon I was close enough to dive out and under the tree for a quick find. I'm sure this would be an interesting place when the club is meeting. TFTC
Had more trouble finding the entry to the park than finding the cache.
We have been to just about every park in town during our stay here. TFTC

Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 8:03am. We took a wrong turn and tried to enter from another street and ended up in long grass. So back we went and found a very good entrance. The cache is in good condition. TFTC
Well definitely took the long way around again, but named the cache, stop all good. Tftc
Temporarily Disabled due to Owner Maintenance , should not take to long , thanks THE CASHE HUNTERS
It almost felt like we were driving up someone's driveway as we approached GZ. Luckily for us, the place was deserted though it may have been interesting to watch some of the activities that are held here. La Kedi already said the rest. TFTC
Lure coursing! At first I was terribly excited, thinking it was for falcons, but when I realised it was for dogs my interest waned. Fortunately, neither falcons nor dogs were being coursed today, resulting in a totally deserted area for us to search for the cache in. My sister and I decided to ignore our GPSrs and head for what we thought looked like a perfect cache hiding spot, while Mum trusted hers and picked up the cache. But only after picking up a container of syringes that had been abandoned at GZ! Luckily she didn't open that...
Cache # 13 of 16 today. TFTC, THE CASHE HUNTERS! =^.^=

This area looks very well used although, being Friday, we had the place to ourselves. Found the cache safe and well in its hidey hole.
Quick find at 1114. I let my GPSr take me in the direction of the cache but I did know from the description which street to take so I had that in my car GPS. The first option took me to a dirt track so I quickly followed the cars directions. Well maintained area. the gate was open and there were some council workers in the adjacent yard. i did keep my head down and soon hd the container in hand. This one could nearly be dcescribed as a drive by if it was actually on a road. TFTC
Mr Bushies2 dashed out to hunt a couple this morning before we move to Stanthorpe...had to walk about 280m on track towards GZ and found it. Thanks THE CACHE HUNTERS.
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
Found this cache while in the area for the Christmas in July 2011 - Stanthorpe Event cache. TFTC TNLN SL
Finally found at 11:36 What an adventure. Tom Tom decided he didn't know the park existed and took us down this barely used dirt road with grass along side taller than the car. We ended up at the river with the cache still 300m away and nothing but bush around us. We reviewed the map and decided there had to be a better way in and turn off tom tom and worked our way around to the park using the 60csx to guide us there.
Great spot. no one about today so we had plenty of time to find the cache.
sl made some swaps.

The GPS sent us down a dirt road which deteriorated into a rutted track which the missus wasn't too happy about me driving HER Corolla through the long grass. We got to the end and found that we were still 200m from the cache.
I then looked at the map on the GPS and found that there was an easier way to the cache so we returned along through the long grass again and found the right way and drove within metres of the cache. This was one to remember. TFTC

Finding a way into GZ proved an issue for Kaisho53 and I. Trusting the SatNav, it led us down a path that did not look quite right...
We were also in the company of Gaz’n’Kab who were spotted reversing back up the path when we pulled in...
We took the next road, only to end up in a Cemetery... Surely there is a road around here somewhere that heads in to GZ.. Sure enough, there was. We just needed to find it...
At GZ, there were a couple of options but Gaz was
all over it and dived into position for the grab...
Another one of those places you would never find without a fixation to chase Tupperware...
Cheers

This one was eventually turned up after a few detours...
Again Karen had led us up the veritable garden path or bush track in this case....
Arrived to find Gaz'n'Kab backing out 'too rough' - next exit led us through the dearly departed into a fence - quick stint of follow the leader around the tracks & we arrived adjacent GZ
Again Gaz was first to get hand to cache....

Found at 11:13 AM Nothing flying around today maybe a little windy for them. We came in on the wrong track to start with but soon found the sign posted entry
An easy find once we made it to GZ, however the trip in was adventurous We crashed our way through the cemetery and eventually made it to GZ

Drove the perimeter roads, then made a decision it must be in that dirt road.Got lucky picked the right road and straight to GZ,then took the wrong aproach to the cache, but we got it.TFTC.THE CASHE HUNTERS.
Crashed and burned getting into this one!! Initially took a 4wd only track which came to a dead end. Eventually found the right road. There were a few other people in the park today but well away from GZ. Thanks THE CASHE HUNTERS
Nnnnyes getting to this one proved difficult for us non-locals. Lets just say our intiial approach involved my Pajero and the Lokipagan Team nearly having to hang limbs out the window to fit in the car.
Needless to say we did find that one did not need the 4WD. All of our maps did not point to how to approach. But we followed our nose and eventually got there.
Loki searched one area at GZ - and then I decided to search for another. Sure enough the cache was found safe and sound by myself. Not much action a the park today. TFTC The Cashe Hunters

Weren't sure what road to take to get to the cache. Looked at the descriptions and my shadow said that he knew where it was as he used to play soccer there. Sad to see that there in no more soccer field there. TFTC. Took wombat pin an left a TB.
another great spot for a cache with yet another guardian to scare you away........OK i jumped a little.......TFTC another FTF . Cheers
