A sleep-in this morning as we woke to the sound of rain. After a leisurely breakfast we headed off for some nearby caches while the clouds slowly dispersed. Another cache close to where we are staying. Found the cache and it was full of water, including the inner container. Went back to vehicle and started repairs. Now has a new outer container, existing inner container and log were dried out. All good as new now. tftc#9892
I was on my way in to Blenheim locating and signing off a few caches on the way.The logbook was a sodden mess so I replaced it with a waterproof paper logsheet.Cheers for the cache, bumandworker..

Down in Picton for a family reunion.

Decided to head up to Picton for some caching. Looks like this church has seen better days. Poor thing. Cache all fine guarded by the siblings. Signed the fine. Thanks for the smiley
I stopped on the road near the cx, but decided to approach from a different angle, so I found the other one first, then came in the easy way. TFTC.
I have passed by this church numerous times..but usually I on a mission today was a leisurely day ...so had some time to park o. The narrow road a find the cache..all good here thanks B&W
We have passed this church on stilts a few times but usually on a mission. Today not on a mission but tight parking. All ok though. Thanks for the placement bumandworker
Having just delivered half the family to the ferry, it was far too early to head back home. So, I used a chunk of my precious mobile data (I can't afford to be on one of those fancy unlimited ones yet) and made a plan for a couple in Picton and a few on the way back to reach the summit of whatever this months peak is. This was number 5 and easy once on the correct side of the fence. I added some waterproof paper to make it easier than signing some mushy stuff.
Heading on a geo adventure with BCD to the top of the South Island...Picton, Blenheim, Havelock and Nelson.
Day 3
Have had 2 fun days exploring in and around Picton so now it's off to Blenheim. Quick find here along the way TFTC

Cache was open/scattered on arrival. Log full. Added dessicant sachet to dry out. Description needs updating (not screwtop lid). TFTC
This one had MapleroseNZ puzzling for a while because she hadn't seen the church, just the bus shelter. Good job I had been paying attention when we drove here. Found the 2 brothers but the cache was in pieces and the container full of water.
We managed to sign the log and put some silica gel in to help dry it out.

I love to find caches at little churches! Having read that the log was filled, I signed a fuel receipt and popped it in the container.
Thank you for the cache.

Day 9 of my 2020 NZE (New Zealand Experience).
(My apologies for the delayed logging but I'm in catch-up mode)
Seeing as I can't be in America right now, I'm touring around the South Island instead. During my time here I am aiming to find as many of the TMGT caches as I can (preferably all 41) and also as many Virtuals, Earthcaches and Letterbox Hybrids as possible, plus any Trads or others that will fill a hole in my D/T grid, my Jasmer grid, or else the last 3 remaining Hidden Dates on that grid.
Having arrived at my rest a few km short of Picton last night in darkness, today's plan was to get to Picton and then work my way back along the coast ending up somewhere near Kaikoura tonight. It's a journey I had made on my very first day visiting the South Island back in 1988, and I was keen to do it again and also see for myself what has happened to the coastline after the Earthquakes almost 4 years ago. That was a hell of a night, even for me some 150km away at the time.
As I couldn't stop at every cache on the road (otherwise I'd never have done everything I wanted to get done on my tour) this cache was picked at random mainly for its proximity to the highway and where I hoped to have a quick find.
Parking near GZ, I initially approached it from the wrong side of the fence, but after I realised my error it didn't take long to work my way around to where I needed to be and shortly afterwards the cache was in hand. I ended up taking the last available space on the log, so a new one is needed here.
Thanks for placing this cache.

I took a few minutes to find but we got there thanks for the hint of no bush bashing the log is full but I had no paper with me Signed it on top of log paper
#7803. Day 3 of my short holiday in Marlborough. I have a work meeting this week in Blenheim so I flew down early and rented a car to allow me to find the Marlborough TMGT caches and few other caches in the back of beyond. Today the mission was to do some caches in the Blenheim and Picton areas. I headed off down to the Wairau Bar first up to get the TMGT cache and now heading north to Picton. Its a lovely fine sunny day. Breezy but stinking hot. The car reached 34 degrees in the afternoon.
Stopped here on the drive north. All quiet at the GZ today. Another nice country church. Soon located the cache, even with my sunglasses on under the gloom of the trees. Signed the logbook and returned the cache where found. Thanks bumandworker for the cache.

I parked in the side road on the way back from the cache down there, but then I had to hike around to gz. Great spot, and no bush bashing required lol. TFTC!!
Couldn’t resist popping in for this sweet little church off the SH1. We'd seen it on our way south and grabbed it on our way north. TFTC
Always like to stop at these quaint little churches! On our way to Picton for tea. TFTC
Our second cache on our journey from Picton to Kaikoura. Once again the cache location wasn’t what we expected but nevertheless a quick find at the GZ. TFTC
Decided to grab as many caches as we could on our way to Picton on a very nice spring day. Thanks CO for the cache.
This was an impulse stop while out with friends on our way to a wine tour...
Instead it turned into more of a cache tour with the odd winery thrown in - much more to my sober-driver tastes

Pretty quick find this afternoon with eltee291, crman1 and coastal martinis once we got on the right side of the fence! Signed the log and replaced as found. Visiting from Victoria, BC, Canada. Thanks for the cache, bumandworker!
Found today with hingis20, crman1, and coastalmartinis. Have come frome Victoria, BC, Canada to visit with my daughter and her family in Blenheim and, of course take in some of the great geocaching here. Really great to be enjoying summer in January. Dropped off a TB. TFTC
Had to find the right spot to go in, and then it was easy. I'm pretty sure this is not the original container (flimsy plastic)

A nice easy one on the way to Picton. Usually we time this stop for when a church service is on so don't stop but today, no one about. Cheers
Lovely long weekend in picton with a spot of caching where I was able, thanks for the placement, we were lucky with good weather which meant I had no use of the gummies I brought down with me picked up tb
We were wondering what we were going to do to qualify for the latest hidden creatures challenge. We have been streaking for a couple of years so our supply of caches around Nelson are starting to thin out. We decided to come over to Marlborough for the weekend to make up the numbers we needed. We had noticed there were many park and grab type caches in this area so this is where we decided to target.
This is a quaint wee building, one that we have sped past many times but have never stopped to have a look around.
The cache was in the first place that GK looked - that is always good as he maintains enthusiasm when he has success.
As we were returning to the car a boat went past with two pigs on the back of it - so they obviously had success as well.
Thanks for placing this cache and for the smilie

On a cache raid to Picton so decided to stop for most of the caches on the way. Took me a little while to identify the correct 2 brothers. I actually must have stood on the cache at one stage but never recognised it. When I eventually found it it was a little further away from the brothers than I had been expecting. Also, the cache is not a screwtop - it is one of those lite plastic container (similar to a margarine container). TFTC B&W
just came over on the ferry and grabbing a few caches as we drive south, took a bit to find it, but it was raining very hard. TFTC
Took a bit to find as I was looking in the wrong place Thanks for this cache bumandworker
Find #10 this morning. There was a badly smelling tree nearby, logging finds nearly a week later and i can still remember the smell! Tftc
What a very special little place this old church is. We stopped here to find the cache on our way to catch the Interislander ferry while on our geocaching road trip honeymoon with ChisL. Favourite point for location.
Yea not really were it should be or what its supposed to be in. but found it and its not hard.
Going home the long way around. Nelson to Picton, then West Coast then Oamaru. TFTC
Greetings from the UK . Enjoying a 9 week trip to NZ and re visiting some of our favourite places. TFTC.
The hidden treasure at this place was visited today in the morning, as i was on my way to Picton to catch the ferry to the North Island.
A short stop, a short search and a quick log from the german guy on vacation to your nice country.
Thank you very much for putting this cache out here and for keeping it alive and well

Visit this church every Xmas with the family so thought it was time to find the cache. Nice easy find. No TB in cache tho.
There were quite a few options for this hint, but a short bush scramble later (so many prickles!) it was in hand. Another nice opportunity to stop somewhere that is so often passed at great speed. Tftc.
Out and about with Jo today and thought we would go to Picton for lunch. First time here for geocaching too so got stuck into it. TFTC all you COs
In the area today on Business, with free time between appointments and afterwards, so out and about to find a few caches while on the way back to Blenheim for my next appointment. TFTC
On Tour in NZ! To save time and space we logged as GC3 (Caching Girls 3)!

Out and about with Kiwimykl this afternoon adding a few local caches to my tally. KM has most of the ones targeted today which should have been to my advantage, however as he hasn't got this one, he joined in the search, but it was still me who found it.

Out and about with NZDi on a pleasant Waitangi Day afternoon. After a bit of caching in the southwest area of Blenheim, we decided to head for Picton to have takeaways for dinner on the foreshore picking up a few unfound caches along the way. This was the first of ten for me with NZDi getting 35 all up.
Got a bit confused by the hint here and when we realised we were searching near 2 snguref we changed our search area to the 2 oebguref and quickly found the cache. The cache is another one of those that could do with a prickly plant attribute.

O Boy!!! what a full on 5 days caching. Driving/Sailing to attend the Christchurch Mega Event with Squirrel Nutcase and also picking up caches on the way to help us complete our Dot Days and Challenges we are currently trying to fulfill. We traveled to so many places that we have never visited before and with 240 plus caches later knew we had an eventful few days.
3pm - Plane had just left as we arrived at GZ and soon had cache with hint. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)...
On our way to NZ Mega Christchurch 2015, and caching as we go. We planned to stay close to the main highway and only venture off into the countryside where appropriate... That didn't always work for us. A 4-5 hour journey ended up taking us almost two days; such was the sheer number of caches we encountered along the route.
We are pleased to report that almost all of the caches we stopped for were in place and in good order. Besides a bit of dampness, there was nothing of concern. This is a feat that cache owners in this area of the country can be proud of... We thank you... Thank you for bringing to our attentions areas of significance. We enjoyed discovering scenic areas, historical and social locations, and other personally meaningful spots.
As stated, we found loads of caches... If we were to write an individualised note for each one, we'd never get the logging done. Hence, there will be a lot of cutting and pasting going on... My apologies!!
Marlborough: We saw a lot of churches during our Mega adventure. Each one had its own character and historical story to tell. These buildings were once the centre of the community. We wonder if this one is used much nowadays TFTC.

Well getting to this one was a bit of an Adventure to say the least. The Stupid Car GPS decided it knew a shortcut and took us on a windy, dusty, dirt road with oncoming logging trucks and other trucks wondering what the heck we were doing with a big motorhome on this road. Finally we appeared back on the highway only to realise that the GPS decided that despite there being more caches ahead of us towards Blenheim that this one was closer by line of sight. Oh well it is all an Adventure and we found the cache after all but missed Blenheim altogether. TFTC
A nice quick find at a lovely country church. I was thinking about new cache spots near here, but it's a bit dark and wet to spend too much time lurking around. A bit of a fog starting in the low areas too. TFTC
Another random church... No one in sight - just avoided prickles to get a QEF
