Found on our way past today having a look around the area while camping at Lake Bonney for a couple nights. Nice hide, all good here.Find #7337 on 20 Nov 2024.TFTC crane2!
Headed in this morning to cache this area, well worth it, very pretty. Water had to be tipped out and the log book was drowned beyond use so we replaced it before moving on. TFTC
Very cool cache, fav from us, enjoyed the walk to get this one great spot for camping, Cheers cobber.
Day 2
Found while caching with -Beaker- and Kellmik on our SA Easter rampage.
Heading towards Gluepot, we took the opportunity to grab all the caches along the way.
Fishing for caches is fun.
Thanks crane2 for the placement.

Adelaide and South Australia Trip Christmas 2021/2022. Day 16. The next phase of my journey is underway. I am in Loxton. I was with Fitzy_1965, MinnieK, Sol de Lune and Smitten Granny to attempt to finish the On You Bike where-i-go caches. We have managed to solve them all before we arrived. Day 6 in the River land. As we had accomplished the On your Bike caches, the others headed back east to stop at Mildura for the paddle steamer caches, but I am based in Adelaide at the moment, so could not go. I spent the day out and about collecting caches in the region before heading to Lake Bonny and then Berri, finishing the day in Katarapko National park.
This trip to Loxton had been a year coming as I had missed out last year due to other commitments. The group had increased and the target list of caches was much higher. It had been a group effort to deal with all the jigsaw puzzles and then the Reverse Where-i-gos were sorted out with the various online tools. The trip was looking at risk as the COVID situation stretched and stretched, but at least SA kept to its plans to open the borders and we all jumped through the hoops required to get across the border. The weather was looking extreme as the journey approached and it did not disappoint. The daytime temps were from 36-42 over the days of this exercise and it made for some hard work and lots of water usage.
I ventured into Luna reserve to visit the caches here. It looks like a great area, and I should stop by for an overnight stop one day. Lots of great caches.
Thanks for the cache crane2

Sir_spectre and I had a quick getaway to the Riverland. We were targetting the less found caches. We found an assortment of caches, and as regular for us manged to replace containers for several and put some fresh logbooks in others. It was a rather hot weather for a weekend of caching but the air conditioned car gave us some relief.
Thanks to crane2 from mogni

found after doing the short nearby yabby series. quick find.
Out with the Mogni for a short trip out to the riverland, only 3 days. It was hot first 2 days where 40 degrees and the last day was 33 degrees. Since the rules just changed about covid 19 testing before and after entering vic to no testing, we changed our plans on the way up and decided to go via Murray Sunset National Park. The idea was to find as many caches as we could that haven't been found recently most hadn't been found in 3 months. On day 1 we replaced 10 out of the first 12 caches, all broken container and 1 log book replaced, and by the end of the day had a heaped medium bin liner bag full of broken containers, the hot mallee sun doesn't do the plastic containers any good. Day 2 saw us caching around Loch Luna and lake Bonney which is way easier driving around here in the dry then in the rain like my last visit here. Onlt 1/2 a medium bin liners back of replaced containers today, people must fix the closer to the highway caches more often. On day 3 it was back in to the mallee country and home via Pinnaroo. Getting those " out of the way caches ". Plenty of dirt roads where driven down and many, many back sandy tracks taken. It was good to explore all the country areas and stay off the highway.

Caching has fallen by the wayside with everything that has been going on, work, lockdowns, blah, blah...so we needed to get away for a bit of R&R after lockdown so headed to Loch Luna for the weekend to refresh and cache!. A nice find, cache in good condition. TFTC
A drive around a rippling drove we should say if you like that rippling road feel here’s the place to go but found a cache is a bonus TFTC
Went for a drive before the dust storm. A bit difficult to retrieve but managed. Replaced the fishing line. T.F.T.C.
It started raining while we were here so we we had to be quick. Crane2 was going to rehang the cache like it used to be, but we decided to leave it because the rain became heavier.
Checked on this whilst out with fairy penguins because I had heard it is no longer hidden as it was originally. Have left it as is, as it seems to work.
Lovely driving around these back roads just before the sunset. Found on our way back to camp. Thanks
Quick and easy find, while doing a lap of Lock Luna!
Plenty of Emus, Roos and birds around. Even saw 1 snake and a goanna.
It was a great day to be out and about!

Came to Barmera for a lovely weekend visit and decided to do the Luna series. Thanks for showing me around and some lovely camp spots that will be visited in the future.
Headed to Kingston on the Murray for the Easter weekend what a lovely spot. Lots of great geocaches to be found on our quest to reach 4000.
We loved the Luna Reserve and all the caches here. TFTC
This one took some real fishing luckily there was a hooked stick nearby that did the trick.

Out in Luna Reserve park with hevwalker & CPWanderer along with caching along spots in the Riverland.
It took several attempts to find gz, which we put down tobrain melt in a very hot day.

Out for the afternoon around Loch Luna and Overland Corner grabbing caches along the way. [^]
I had not been to this part of the Riverland and spent a great afternoon driving, walking and thoroughly enjoying the whole experience. Enjoyed the hide.

Nice find after a little walk. Had to retie fishing line as it came off... all good though. TFTC
Spending the rest of the week up at Cobdogla, so what better way to relax than going geocaching!
Picked up a few of the caches that had been on my list for a while now, great to be able to mark them off.
Got an early start this morning, and found a total of 12 caches this morning, with this being find number 6 for the morning.
After my last attempt at caches in the Loch Luna Game Reserve, I came back prepared this time, and unlike last time, waited until the warmer weather so the tracks were nice and dry.
Thank you crane2 for a great cache!

Brodie, muggle partner and I were at Berri for an event yesterday at our 'home' for the weekend
Today was head for our real home day and I was supposed to be back in Adelaide by 6.30pm for a meeting but at 8pm, we were just leaving Barmera
There was just too many great spots to visit and caches to find
All up, 40 caches for the day (well, 40 after we had been to bed and slept ) and the last 2 were FTFs which required a small (about 20km) detour from our journey home.
Unless mentioned otherwise, please know that your cache and log book was in good condition.
Ha, this cache proved a tad more tricky than some of the others and natural means of extraction had to be utilised
All good though as I managed to get it

Enjoying a afternoon in the park with Mattycat, some picturesque hideaways in here with beautiful views across the waters, worth coming back for a camping weekend and a kayak TFTC crane2

Family day out at the Monash Mammoth Markets and whilst out best take the CatKids Geocaching in the area. We love this hides out bush right away from muggles. TFTC
Well, whilst there was still plenty of evidence of donuts, we decided it was a bit too dry and dusty to add to them (not that we would do that anyway - the Rav4 isn't really cut out for it). found cache quickly - nicely hidden though! Much prefer this sort of retrieval to the alternative of sticking your whole arm in! TFTC crane2.
We got to do this while while enjoying Berri and the nearby locality. We spent the long weekend in the Riverland as part of attending the Dorks two events. Beautiful weather, lovely scenery and a pleasure to find this cache. Thanks to crane2 for placing this cache.
After sleeping-in and visiting the bakery and the tourist information centre, we decided to drive through this conservation park this afternoon. An interesting place we'd never have visited if not for caching.

I spent the morning wandering around Loch Luna park chasing geocaches. Nice area never been here before. Except for the corrugations in parts - my Magna was complaining. I'll have to come back to camp sometime! TFTC crane2.
I wasn't stumped for long finding this great little hide

Still leisurely touring South Australia after the Mega
Now camped up at Plush's Bend for a few days it was time to head back towards Barmera to find some caches and explore the area.
Some very interesting history and some awesome scenic spots that Geocaching took us to today. [^]
We hadn't realised we could drive to the caches here in the reserve but on seeing the entrance from the nearby cache Go'n'do - Napper's Ruins we decided we should tackle these before the rain of the next few days. Quick find here, not surprised though with the current warm spell to find no campers in residence today.
Thanks for the cache and for helping us explore this area
