There was a good spot to park, from which I conducted my search. Alas, after several loops around GZ, up and down the hill, widening my radius, I came up with nothing. I saw a nice termite mound, though, and found lots of smaller items that had been dumped here. But no cache!
We decided to have some coffee from our flask at the nearby rocks that served as a seat and table. After that I gave the search one more go, but no luck. The container might be gone?

This cache seemed to have an ability to evade the line of my eyes. I will return another time and hopefully outwit this cache.
We found a few objects which seemed out of place, but nothing turned up to be the container. Hopefully it is still there.

Unfortunately a dnf for us today.. Spent 30 odd minutes searching.. Will have to try again another time
Our last for the day. Spotted the cache fairly quickly and luckily I might say.
It is sitting there uncovered but has faded to the natural colour of the local flora.
I can see why it would be easy to miss.
Thanks

Out in the afternoon for some caching goodness before tonight's A League game (when Sydney FC put the cleaners through Perth 6-0).
Managed to grab seven out of eight attempts, but unfortunately ran out of time to grab the final *W2W* cache. I'm very familiar with the ships of the First Fleet as the area I live has a number of streets named after them.
A pleasant dirt road to follow north of the Nepean - not too much traffic going the other way, and the road itself was well maintained.
Before getting to them I found another traditional and a multi, for which I'd had GZ for a while.
Good day!
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
First grab of the *W2W* series.
Took longer than it should as it wasn't in any location I expected. Opened to find it full of water. Poured it out - of both container and ziplock.
Luckily the log wasn't too wet to sign.
A bit of maintenance required - and I do wonder if it is in the right spot (subsequent finds suggest it is...)

Today I set out to cache up to Wiseman's Ferry and around to Ebenezer to grab a good two dozen caches. After filling many bottles of water as I knew it was going to heat right up I was off!
I meant to find this series on Saturday but met up with some other cachers with different plans, so I could find them today instead.
Sadly I found most of them in poor condition amongst lots of rubbish. This one also had a wet and mouldy log book.
Thanks for the cache.

Can't believe my luck. After a trip to St Albans, I wasn't expecting to have too much company for this series. Unfortunately a group of workmen had setup camp near GZ so I opted to continue on. Will have to return another day...
What a nice little road! Log still wet, in fact sodden, although the last added sheet was still useable. Good parking. TFTC!
Day 3 of a school holiday trip to Wisemans Ferry in our brand new geomobile, spending a couple of nights at the Del Rio Riverside Resort, and collecting some caches along the way as we explore this historic area.
Today we were on our way back home, going via Lower Portland and taking the Sackville Ferry route back to Maroota and the Old Northern Road, then down through Galston Gorge. This was the 1st of 17 finds for the day, 16th find of the trip.
This one was a nice quick roadside “park & grab”. Log was wet but we still managed to leave our mark. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC SearchnLog.

Was thinking more tricky than it was. Saturated container and log, did my best to dry it but still needed to add temporary log paper.

Had no problems in finding this cache. The cache was found quickly and easily. With all the contents wet found it was a little hard to sign the log book. The cache was replaced as found. Thank you SearchnLog for placing this cache.
This cache desperately needs some attention as it had quite a lot of water in it. We drained it out as best we could, but everything is still very wet inside it and mouldy. Not very appealing at all. Managed to sort of sign the log book but basically everything needs to be replaced. Our thanks go to SearchnLog for another cache in the series.
Easy find. Cache in need of maintenance. Logbook is soaked. I have placed a page from my note in it in a small bag.
Had too many drinks last night and bailed on a more physical caching day with a mate and instead took the kids out for a more park and grab focussed adventure. This was a quick find thanks to good coords. Log was soaked but I managed to let the ink kind of wash out of my pen and bleed into the paper TNLN TFTC
Out today to pick up a few I didn't have time to get to on a previous run around the area, quick find TFTC
Out with JJCC on a cache run to find an Old School cache in the Great North Road at Wisemans Ferry.
This was our first of four caches found today. Lots of rubbish around GZ and it took a while for the GPSr to get a lock, but after about ten minutes we located the container. Unfortunately the log is pulp and we were unable to make a mark on the paper...with no spare logs with us today we replaced everything as found.
TNLN.
Eight TBs visited - Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Jerry geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Stuart geoMinion, Vanlith The Youngling.

Out with Team Merlin to find old School cache in the Great North Road at Wisemans Ferry.
On our way we thought we would pick up the last of the W2W series the cache W2W - Alexander.
With coordinates in hand we set off to find GZ. Searching the area we finally located the cache upon opening the log was unable to be signed to we replaced as found as we did not have a replacement.

Found it but the log is completely destroyed by water. And unfortunately it's a been a dump point for people's unwanted rubbish. I would recommend moving this cache and it needs attention ASAP!
Found it with my bro mrsmith00, the container is dry but the logbook is gooone. Needs maintenance.
My second stop as I make my way back to Lower Portland this back way. This one took a little while to pin down but persistence paid off with a find. The cache container was at least dry however the log book was still quite damp. Pried the pages apart until I had the right page where I added my signature. Spied and retrieved the TB before replacing the cache as found. tftc
TFTC needs maintenance desperately as container was found 3/4 full of water so log is impossible to sign. Drained container and have photo proof of find. Sorry had no replacement logs.
We picked up a couple of potato scallops and some calimari rings and headed off for a Sunday drive. We love that geocaching takes us to interesting places we wouldn't otherwise visit. The run along the river picking up caches in this area made for a great circuit trip today.

It was beautiful weather so i took a little walk around Wisemans Ferry looking for some caches. It is a great area and I have taken the opportunity to go along the conivct great which was very informative and interessting to look at.
After, I went to the Del Rio Riverside Resort and took the Ferry across to have one of their yummy schnitzels on the waterfront.
Thanks for the nice Cache

The Tom Quilty Gold Cup hundred mile endurance ride was done and dusted. We had just spent the weekend strapping for fellow Victorian riders who competed (successfully) in this legendary event, which traversed the roads and tracks in the Wisemans/Lower Portland area. The Bicententenary Road was a short section of these many kms of course and the arrows were still out when we left the venue and started our caching holiday back home. Just as well we decided to go out this way - access via the Webbs Ck Ferry was completely jammed with 342 horses in floats and goosenecks trying to exit the venue (albeit with booked crossing times, it was still a major headache that day). Anyway, this was a nice quick find with which to clock on to caching again. TFTC SearchnLog
Would liked to have done the whole series but unfortunately time did not permit.

#2992- When I prepared my list of caching order, somehow I had completely missed this one. But spotting it on the way, it was the next one. The container was screwed so tight that I almost did not think I could open it. Despite this and the fact that the log (the whole series logs well prepared I might add) was in a zip lock bag, it was still quite damp and starting to mildew a bit, yet able to be written on quite easily.
This was the last of this series for me today as I wound my way along the , very rough in spots road on may way to my last stop, the ferry, before starting to return home to the Blue Mountains. Thanks you for an enjoyable series- any chance that some of the others that are now missing may be revived in the future? Thanks

I found this cache full of water. Surprising was that the little plastic bag did its job in saving the log. A quick clean out, signed and replaced ready for the next cacher.
This was 3 from 3 up here on the hill while the family picniced at the bottom near Webb's creek...another simple find and thankfully I didn't have to go near the rubbish...I cleaned out and traded up the SWAG as it was a little ratty, and added a snap lock bag for the slightly soggy but legible log. Thanks for another easy one and a reason to venture up here

As it was Mrs C's birthday we decided a day caching in the Sydney area would be a grand way to spend it on this gloriously sunny Winter's. We enjoyed this series, it took us to places we may not have ever visited if it weren't for caching. We really liked that we knew that there would be safe spots to pull up right next to or near GZ (an important feature some hiders forget on country roads).
It was a pity that is area looks like the local rubbish dump! The hide was spotted quickly though.

TFTC, very quick and easy grab. The log book was a bit wet though, looks like the container is getting some moisture in it
A quick find in an obvious spot. Thanks, I really liked your W2W series, in fact there is room for lots more along that road.
Great day out for caching - enjoyed the travelling with geofamily. Thanks for the caches around here.
few steps to the cache, Great day out for caching - enjoyed this series with skyejam and Everlasting. Thanks for bringing us here ★★
Quick easy find with sevabo and Everlasting but the rubbishes were there for a long time when I saw a photo which it took last year so it is interested to know that the council didn't clean them up? TFTH

For this one I just read Calypso's log & headed straight to the cache location. That SPR was easy to spot . And my GPS said GZ was only 5m from where we found the cache, so this one shouldn't be a problem for anyone even if it isn't in its original location.
Thanks for this series. Even though the heat was getting to me by the end, the 3 of us enjoyed our drive along this road today. The car GPS suggested that the quickest way home would be to turn around & go back the way we came. We decided to ignore that & headed towards the Webb Creek ferry. And since the girls liked the car ferries so much, we then decided to go across Wisemans Ferry, look around for a bit & then come back across & finally head towards home.
Thanks

Sorry that this is a generic log, but I'm catching up on a year's worth of logs. I'm sure I really enjoyed this cache. Thank you for placing it.
This was cache #4000 for The Vikings. A pity it turned out to be at a rubbish tip. How can people just think of dumping that amount and that kind of rubbish at the roadside?
Our first of the W2W and #4000 for the Vikings. Nice?
Shame about all the rubbish here. What idiots some people are.
Thanks for the cache SearchnLog. As with all the caches in the series, the coordinates were about 10m out.

Continuing the caching run with C62. This cache was located actually in a carboard box amid a pile of rubbish - people are such grubs. After signing the log, we replaced the cache away from the rubbish. To leave it as we found it, any rubbish clean up would have removed the cache. Perhaps the CO might like to review this cache. Out on a caching run with Geotooter today. Thought we'd do the run up to Wiseman's Ferry and pick up this series. Not a nice spot at all with the rubbish that had been dumped here, including nappies...yuk!!!! The cache container was found sitting on one of the boxes. We replaced it nearby. Just look near a tree for a UPR... that's an Unnatural Pile of Rocks! LOL
