This one was much easier than the last but did just have to wait for a man collecting firewood to leave in his 4WD. Thanks.
Amazingly we found this cache, and fast too . Mr. Riddells GPSr was spot on!As you can see from our pictures this cache was almost totally lost to the earth. The co ords were spot on and Mr Riddell spied what he thought may be a hide under 2 rocks bingo, what resembled an-entombed cache. What was even more amazing was that the cache only had a tiny amount of water in it and the log was in a very well sealed bag in a perfect condition.Mr Riddell reckons its the best camo ever!!TFTC
Very well camouflaged thanks to the dirt and mud, but a relatively easy find or rather, park and grab! TFTC
After waiting for a couple of cars to drive past it was a quick and easy park and grab. Beautiful views of Lake Kerferd. TFTC
Early morning walk/fish here. What a magical spot. Very much reminds us of where we live! Thanks for the cache

In the company of an unstoppable bushfire and the white beast, a very busy time was had In Beechworth. This was found without any trouble. We will have to come back and finish this group off
Thanks for this one BettyBoo3747

My good friend 6Hinemoa2 and the ageing Bushfire decided to head up to this old gold mining area for a few days to mainly concentrate on the Randolph the Rat series but grabbing LAB’s and anything else that happened to be nearby. We had both only found one of these guys before and that was #14 Randolph the Rat at Winton Raceway, as it was near the Hume Hwy and also a fair distance from the other 14 caches.
We are closing in on another of our target caches but stopped to admire these wonderful specimens standing regally by the roadside and to claim another cache to increase our numbers.

A georgous day spent with Math64 and Bucrog52 out Stanley way. Despite being a local I have never explored this area before. So lucky to live in the beautiful NE.
Easy park and grab here.

Mr Morris has a few weeks off but with border restrictions we thought we'd do a slow lap of Victoria while we had some good weather.
After 3 nights at the lovely Forest Camp campgrounds in the Warbys it was time to head to Beechworth and catch up with Betty Boo and Robmc for a couple of days.
With a full day of adventuring available to us we headed up to some of Betty Boos new offerings along with the CO, Robmc and the 2 small dogs. Its a very pretty lake and that is a very hole!

It really is Australian bush heaven along here this morning. Parked nearby the white gums for a quick find.

Today was day three of our Beechworth holiday (take two, post the very disappointing escape from Victoria Covid of 2020).
We spent the morning doing not much at all, then did the Goal tour ( well worth it), and had a wonder around town. We set out for Lake Kerford on the bikes, but Red Hill road proved to be a bit to uphill for us, so we rolled back into town and grabbed the car instead.
This was the first cache for the day, and was quickly spotted behind it's very natural layer of camo.

Give me a home among the gum trees, not many plum trees, sheep or none, just cow mugglers. TFTC
Continued up the path past some cows. A nice quick find for us. Thanks for placing this cache.
Day three of Beechworth camping road trip with Papi4506, Geoturtle37 & RoamingHowie.
Said hi to the cows as we enjoyed a lovely stroll along here. Nice location.

After spending a week away camping from Melbourne I’ve now moved on to Beechworth for some caching with OzHockeyChick, GeoTurtle37 and Papi4506.
A little wander further up the path to secure this one! Beautiful spot.
Thanks BettyBoo3747 for the cache.

It’s the backway to Beechworth so stopped for a walk along the way... just had to tarry awhile and seek this one! No one about of course - not even ‘exercising’ TFTC
As much as geokid#3 wanted to head home I thought I would squeeze in a couple more cache finds. A quick find in an area that we havent explored before. Picked up TB to continue on its journey
Wow, with three hundred and sixty eight hides, i felt quite the excitement, making my way along this beautiful track to hide number one.
I felt obligated to leave an appropriate trackable to rest awhile.
Container had a little water, which i drained, thankfully the cute little envelopes and logbook were snug dry in their ziplocks. Mebe the ole gal's not so waterproof no more. Still, covered her up and all's good here.
Thanks for hiding a cache here way back.

Taking a drive while waiting for kids to finish work, I decided to find a few caches I have had my eye on for a while. This one is a great place to stop and look at the lake. Great hiding spot TFTC.

A quick dusty find in a peaceful spot. Had a go with a spinning top from the cache of the surface of a log which made a great sound!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Only a few caching days left to us now before leave the valley (yes, we really are leaving - eventually) Decided that a day around the outskirts of Beechworth would be in order, plus one or two on the way.
Despite another cache nearby, we had decided this would be the last cache of the day. Mr D was busting to get home to watch the last bit of the Bathurst Race. Thanks BettyBoo, apparently this was your first ever hide.

A solo drive around Beeech and Stanley today. 11 finds with 2 dnf's. Enjoyable day.. Thanks for placement of Cache/s.
Thanks BettyBoo3747. Found whilst on Randolph’s elusive tail. Lovely serene lake here. TFTC
Heading to Morrisset for the Mega we picked up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
An easy find at GZ.

We were brought out here to Lake Kerferd by Randolph the Rat and his fabulous adventure series of caches. This was a quick stop and find while we were in the area, affording a slightly different view of the lake. TFTC BettyBoo3747
A lovely quiet spot here today with all the muggles on the other side of the lake

#2765 After completing some cave diving nearby, we decided to walk down to complete this find. We thought it might help Max the geohound dry off a bit from getting wet after doing some cave diving of his own. We soon came across the impressive large stand of smooth white gums. After inspecting several potential hidey holes, Mrs BGF finally came up with the goods. TFTC BB.
Nice easy park n grab on a Sunday afternoon after tobogganing all morning with the Wackyweedos. TFTC!
Quick park n grab with Cristabel on our way to Randolph the rat cave diver. Magnificent stand of ghost gums! Tftc BettyBoo.
Shelley0 and I decided to head somewhere where we could take the geodog Tessie for a few walks. Thru Beechie and towards Stanley was the go, before returning to Kerferd Lake for a campfire and a bbq.
We'd found the cache on the other side of the lake, and had to scramble across the spillway, thankfully only getting wet feet, surely making these two caches terrain 4's. This was an easy find after leaving the diver, as there was a family fishing just below it. Shelley spotted this one, and it was a nice walk back in the sun.
Thanks again BettyBoo, beautiful trees

After replacing Randolph's diving gear we called past to do a routine maintenance check on this one. Container and log book were saturated. New container and new SWAG and new log book and pencil now in place. Come and get it! It hasn't been found for a long time!
I was on leave so plans were made to head to the Beechworth area with My good Mate the Roostaman, Today we were on a mission to bring up our Miles stones of 15000 and 13000 cache finds, We had a great day bike riding and Four Wheel Driving. Thanks BettyBoo3747 for the cache.
Wow. Lovely spot that I've never been to before. The lake was glassy and the birds were on song, just as the day was ending. Life is good and so is caching. Thanks for bringing me here BB.

On the way back from Red Erosion so decided to check this one too. Wiped out inside and tidied it up - got rid of some rubbish. Left red fish keyring and one of my new Glitter Girl - Feather, pathtags.
Found by Mary & David at 1210. A beautiful place. We enjoy facts, figures and history, so really appreciated all the information about George Briscoe Kerferd. Found ok after a short search. Our thanks to BettyBoo3747.
Cycling around the lake - looking for good fishing spots. This one close to the lake was tempting. Easy to see the "Ghostly Gums" and then not too hard to locate. The cache container was wet and muddy, but inside was dry and in good condition. Nice place...
I set out for two days with the intention of doing some high D/T caching, starting in the Cathedral Ranges and then working my way to Mt Buller where I would spend the second day. I was looking forward to the caches and hiking around Mt Buller but unfortunately mother nature had other ideas with my plan as on the Friday afternoon, as I arrived at Buller, severe storms hit the region and thats when the downpour started and continued for the next 48 hours. So the long hikes were out this time and some slip sliding muddy 4WD caching resulted instead up around Yackandandah and the Barandudah Ranges.
Up bright and early this morning, the weather was still atrocious, so I decided to leave Mt Buller for another day and head north and try my caching luck up there. Heading along dirt roads now I stopped to find this cache. A took a little bit of hunting but I eventually found the well hidden cache.
Thanks for the hide.

Found this one today on a drive up and through Stanley.
This was our 2nd cache for the day, signed the log smiling and we were off again to find some more caches and explore this great area.

Nice day out four wheel driving. Thanks for bringing me to the water which I had no idea existed.
I had two full days in Bright, once for caching, and one to visit Mt Feathertop. Today was caching day. Found this one in a lovely location.
My thanks to BettyBoo3747 for the cache and showing me the lake.

Decided to go grab this cache during my lunch break today. Needed an easy one to keep my consecutive days streak going and I'm off on camp tomorrow so busy busy this evening.
Found fairly easily once I looked around in the drizzle for a bit.
Found a little frog guarding the container.
Signed log and back to work I went.

The ghostly gums stood out as we neared them. With a bit of looking around we found the cache. The lake is down it has been a hot summer. It was beautiful and still today except for the ducks enjoying the lake. What a beautiful spot for a cache and to admire this beautiful lake. Thanks Libby for making us stop and admire the lake and not just drive by. Loved the ghost gums, would look great at night in a full moon.
On my stroll from the 'other side' of the Kerferd Dam, I eventually found me way to the Ghostly Gums
Turns out there was an easier way than the one I took, but hey !! You get that
I enjoyed the much easier and shorter stroll back to the geomobile after wandering up the red hill to find another nearby cache

Not sure whats happened to my log for this one, can't seem to find any trace of it.
This one was found on a day out and about the Beechworth / Murmungee area on a quiet days caching picking up some of the "local" ones in my 80km zone.
This one was found as I was venturing from "Fletchers Dam" to "Shoot the View". Didn't take long to find, wasn't too many spots to look.
It was very peaceful here, absolutely no one about only the many ducks on the lake. The serenity only interrupted occasionally by the nearby scare cannons to keep the birds from the fruit and nuts growing in the area.
I remember coming here when you could still drive across the dam wall, that was some years ago now (maybe 20)
TFTC, TNLN, Cheers.

What a cool and inviting sight on a very hot day after driving over some very rough roads. The gums are looking wonderful after shedding the old bark. Was disappointed that swimming was not allowed but they do appear to stock this lake with fish. Took a while to locate the hide, either the last cacher did an excellent camouflage job or nature was trying to reclaim it but it was eventually retrieved. slt: coin l: shark and octopus t4tc
These gums are doted here and there around the lake and are a very beautiful tree in the bush.

Trekking with the kids up to Stanley today, an outing where we took in the sights thanks to the great cache placements up this way.
Third one of the trip, and when we arrived at GZ the azure sky made the lake a magnificent blue colour, worthy of a few photos. We took shots of the striking ghost gums at this spot with the water in the background, very pleasant!.
The kids were given the Etrex 10 and the clue and before long they had the container in hand. SL at 2.40pm. We TNLN.
The youngest wanted to know what spooky sound a ghost gum made. We replied, "Boo!".
Had him watching his back anyway. TFTC BettyBoo3747.

A loverly spot by the edge of the very full lake. So this is what I have been drinking the last few days!
The cache was well hidden as it hadn't been disturbed in a while.
Thanks, Robmc.

This one evaded us today. We spent 20 minutes searching without any luck. Will have to try again soon.
Caught this one on the way home. Took us a little while to find it and we had to use the hint (we're clearly still newbies!). At one point I was saying to NineMileMan he would have to feel around in the depths of what looked like a wombat hole. He didn't seem too keen! Found it not long after that and NMM breathed a sigh of relief.

A mirror like lake greeted us as we parked close to the cache. The views were great with perfect reflections. Thanks for bringing us here again.
#2179 After leaving the Harrowangs at the previous cache, this was our last BBoo cache for the day. I think that we arrived at a great time of day, it was about 7pm and the lake was still and the ghost gums looked wonderful in the evening light. Certainly a beautiful location here, our thanks to BettyBoo3747 for highlighting this gorgeous place.

Called by to drop in one of my GC's, my Pathtag and a couple of old Kenyan coins - and to check the cache. Took: Harrowang's luggage tag.
We braved cutting across the flowing spillway to save ourselves a few hundred meters. Thankfully no one fell in! Bushhiker made the find, and we SL and headed up the hill. TFTC
Easy find though I had an advantage, having been here before..... TFTC, left a couple of coins....
We found the cache on the other side of the Lake some time ago. There were quite a few fisherman trying their luck there this afternoon. We continued on around to the stand of gorgeous gums and found this cache at 3.40pm. There were a great many water hens feeding here in the sunshine. Took: Hopper TB Left: luggage tag.
