Not sure how many time I have been in Moore River. It looks like every Feb/ March we escape from Wheatbelt to close the sea/ river. Finally found this cache. My first try was in year 2020. This time it took probably 15min. One of the log with photo was helpful to locate the GZ. My geo-partner found the cache.
This one almost beat me. Almost.I spent about 15 mins up and down the bank looking through many different bushes / shrubs and was pretty close to giving up.........when wooohooo. There it is.Log signed and replaced.TFTC
TFTC. This is the one can reach on foot opposite to the town. Nice view at the hill top.
Out Geocaching with the family, GPS was being stupid but a quick scan of the area yielded results. TFTC
Went back and replaced the container and added some trinkets. Container now has a pink lid.
Find 5 of 11 on a day of caching in Guilderton and then clearing the map down to Two Rocks. Enjoyed an 8k paddle down and up the Moore River, fish and chips at the cafe then a few park n grabs on the drive home.
Paddled round looking for a landing spot. Rounding the corner to the ocean side, the wind and waves came piling through so we hauled up on to the small flat area and climbed up to GZ. A couple of minutes of poking around and taking panoramic photos, then Mrs O made the find.
TFTC nissan!

After a long search and my GPS being on the fritz I didnt manage to find this one, will have to come back another day for a more thorough search.
Found with Dora The Explorer. Expected to take longer. The cache container is starting to show its age. Probably needs replacing soon.
This is my 1712 find.
Thank you nissan for placing and maintaining this cache.
Geology rocks but Geography is where it’s at!
(I’m not a geologist I just like puns)
Our only major target cache for today was this one.
We were pleased to see that the river mouth hadn’t been breached and we were able to walk over the sand bar before starting our ascent towards GZ.
The calves were definitely feeling it by the time we got to the top.
After a short break to catch our breath we started the hunt for the container and it was Mr T who managed to snag the right angle to spy the container after a few minutes.
With everything signed and returned we made our way back the same way we came in and after getting off the beach emptying a new one out of our shoes at the top of the steps.

With the school holidays officially started I had the opportunity to head up to Geraldton with SirFancy for the weekend and Mr’s Z, T & B.
We packed up the car last night and left just before dawn stopping every couple of hours for a cache find and some running around.
We ended up caching in Joondalup, Guilderton, Jurien Bay & Geraldton today.
An adventurous day out ended with 13 finds, 15 adventure labs and 0 DNF’s.

Thanks nissan for placing Moore River Cache 13 for me and others to find.
I added my name to the log at 09:21 on 9/4/2022.
This is find number 4329 for me.

Thank you! This was a bit of an adventure for me, I have never been on this side of the river before. Great views in all directions from up here. Container and log in great condition but snap lock bag has deteriorated.
I'm going to start carrying snap lock bags with me so that I can replace worn out ones in the future.

Found this one with all the geokiddies, amazing view from up there and no one around. TFTF
Headed to Guilderton for some exploration & this cache was top of our list of caches to find whilst in the area... The tide had been high & had been washing over into the river mouth but it had turned & back on its way out when we headed over
We followed the goat track up & as the metres got closer Jase soon had his hands on the prize... We stopped to enjoy the view & soak up the serenity before continuing on to see where the track goes

No luck finding this one but very hot and snake season so did not look too hard!
Got to the spot
Orange box must have been buried deep in the bushes and didn’t want to dig around during snake season
Tough getting there though where shoes and be prepared to carried little kids along the tracks

I joined the group for a paddle up the Moore river and to grab all the caches in the area ....

Dnfd this one some years ago. Came out with Deefa71 Neva2Old and The Mongrel made a relatively quick find once we had bush bashed to GZ. Tftc
No Orange Tool Box here but we found your cache and all is in good nick here. Not quite the spot that the Garman took us to but close enough to not be any real issue. Thanks for a great wee walk Allan.
Great find like looking for a needle in a hay stack not in a orange tool box.
Thanks for the cache my brother is here from Plymouth-UK and climbed for this one
Decided to make a run for the caches south of the river on this trip to Guilderton.
Bit surprised that it has been so long between finds for this cache. Remember watching some people searching for this from the lookout when we were here last year (though they didn't end up logging anything).
Phone would not settle here and I went round and round in circles to the point where I nearly gave up. Stuck with it though and was rewarded in the end with a find right next to a spot where I had searched previously. Cache was in fine shape.

Left home at 06:00 to do battle with the Kwinana Fwy to join Fratra for a trip north. We restrained ourselves from doing any caches until we reached Mindarie then cached our way up to Guilderton. 31 finds 3 DNFs. More to the point we have had a wonderful time with some good laughs & great mates. Lovely sunshine & beautiful views.
This one was the main focus & 'Must Do' for our caching buddies. I was so pleased that our timing was good enabling us to cross a perfectly dry & completely exposed sandbar. Then up the steep dune to claim our prize. Definitely the highlight of the trip so far. TFTC

Set off bright and early with team pommieparkin2 to cache our way Guilderton where we were staying overnight. Fun times and lots of laughs with good friends.
Wanted this one not only for our month hidden grid but also for the magnificent views. The sandbar was walkable and the cache accessible, the stars aligned allowing us to sign this log.
TFTC Allan this is find # 2197 for us.

During a nice weekend in Guilderton.
It was very funny to cross the sandbar by foot. The view from the cache is amazing.

Got my exercise for the day reaching this cache but was rewarded with gorgeous views. Was found in the clear plastic container - no orange toolbox in sight. TFTC
We found this cache with richlink on a perfect, clear, dry but cold winter's day, every time we come to Guilderton we are struck by how beautiful it is, and this time was no different. Thanks for your cache nissan, we love finding these old caches.
Big day planned for caching in Guilderton today with iluvtrekking and although it was a chilly 5 deg when we arrived, the sun was shining and not a cloud to be seen overhead. No access by 4wd across the mouth possible today but we had brought kayaks anyway. Huge eagle sitting on a post where we moored our kayaks but it obviously has 'seen it all before' and didn't even ruffle a feather as it observed us. Headed up into the scrub to make a quick find. Thanks nissan
Found with cousins during the big bush fire in all the excitement of the day I forgot to log.
From the nearby lookout I could see where this cache was hiding
So down the steps and along the beach I plodded.
Then up the hill and withing 15 minutes had the cache in paw
Top spot too with a great view !!
I was worried about the tide coming in !!
It had obviously washed over the sandbar last night and I didn't really want to get stuck over this side too long

On a camping trip with Geocaching and Muggle Fiends. After we had finished the setup of the campsite we went to the nearby beach to cool down a bit. We although spotted 4 possible geocaches close by. The plane was the Boys go first for two difficult once and the Girls look after the Kids Playing in the water and after this we swop so the girls can find the easy once.
Moore River Cache 13 was the second one on the list. This one was found in the expected spot after a little walk through the sand
Thanks for the cache and the view nissan

Found it no longer orange container but clear clip lock container near top of hill great view
Came up to Guilderton to find the T5 cache on Diamond Island, while I was waiting for the weather to become warmer I decided to grab some caches I missed on the last visit.
The sandbar was a bit wet, the bigger waves could get through to the river, so I had to find the right time to cross. At GZ I spent quite a lot of time searching in the wrong piece of bush (apparently I was not the only one), but eventually I found the cache. TFTH

Out with B12 on a run out this way missed logging at the time and realised our maps were a little different on the way up to Gero sorry for ectreamly late log
TFTC! Found on a day trip up to the northern towns of Guilderton, Ledge Point, Lancelin, Seabird returning through Regans Ford and Gin Gin. Thanks
Fav for an older cache still around.

A nice escape from the crazy city for a few days up north with m4yb and dimor. Day 2 of the adventure and towards the ocean we head. Well this is what geocaching is all about, adventure and and all types of terrains.
Having brought the yaks all the way and now feeling much happier with their loading we got them prepared for the paddle to the other side against the wind. M4yb had some fun with her false starts but then the paddling in earnest started and once we had beached them we made the climb GZ to be well rewarded with great views out to sea and up the river to the east.
Thanks for a great cache nissan definitely a fav form me

This cache was an adventure in itself. On our northern adventure with megawat60 and dimor, we left the WillowBrook caravan park and headed to Guilderton, with the kayaks on the GeoYota. Megawat60 and I decided against going further upriver, and instead to make use of the kayaks to get to the other side, while dimor took the more conventional approach along the beach
The start was an (embarrassing) event, as twice I slipped on the algaed steps and fell in while boarding my kayak, much to the entertainment of a few muggles, one of whom came down to steady the yak as I finally got in safely.
We made our way across, which was pleasant, landed the kayaks and pulled them up the sand. Then we all made the climb, rewarded not only by the great views of blue ocean and the sand-barred river mouth, but also by finding the cache at the top.
This one will go down as one of our very Memorable Caching Experiences! Thanks nissan! a fave!

After the rain, thunder and lightning overnight , not good when in tents, I was surprised to see today a beautiful sunny day. Thankfully it was as we, Megawat60, M4YB and I headed to Guilderton to grab as many caches as we could and also enjoy ourselves
Unlike my two travelling companions who had the easy way to get near GZ I had the hard slog of beach walking , so glad we left this to the end
Funny seeing M4YB wet when she arrived at the sand bar. At least she saw the funny side too
Beautiful views from above.

A must see cache for the view of the town, sea and river. Took us a bit to find. The prominent group of shrubs the GPS'er was pushing me to was not it. Thanks for the cache and the views.
Out for a drive north of the city and called in to find the cache whilst in the area.
Found cache without problems after walking over the bar.
Thanks nissan for the cache.

Found this year's ago. And didn't log here for some reason. ... back today to have a look..
Was up in guilderton for the last weekend of the school holidays with the Jinta29 clan. We had hit some of the river caches this morning and this afternoon we went for a bit of a drive.
We headed back to the caravan and Mr Jinta29 and I decided to go for a quick paddle across to this cache.
We landed on the grass and headed up through the trails. Once at gz we started a systematic search but returned nothing. A couple of PAF to confirm our location was good. We found an area that looked like it held a box once( the grass was all bent on a way that looked like a cache hide)
We had a spare small container on us do have left this just in case. If it turns out the container was there, somewhere else, we will have to come back But it's a great spot so would be happy to.
I'm Looking forward to meeting other geocachers at WA GOES BIG IN 2015, in Busselton.

We were staying at the caravan park with the Kyzabra crew for the weekend and what better way to fill in the time between drinks than to grab some smileys. All caches were found without too much difficulty. We were prepared for this one as we noticed there had been a couple of DNF's prior to us heading over . We kayaked across and made the trek up. We searched around and found a likely looking spot but no cache . A couple of PAF confirmed that we were looking in the right place so Kyzabra dropped a replacement container to keep the cache going. Hopefully with the approval of the owner, the new container is OK. TFTC nissan
Had a couple of looks for this one, on the way to and from the southern side caches - no joy here
Found on a day caching with AusAngel, the sand bar was open so we had to wade part of the way across. Tftc
TFTC, we should have checked the tides before setting out to cross the river mouth, still crossable but had trouble keeping pants dry
Being a fairly old WA cache we where keen to make the find. No problems crossing the river mouth as it was not open (which generally seems to be the case). We continued round and found a rough track up to GZ. Nice views of the river and out to sea. A quick look around and we soon found the old orange tool box cache. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

Spending the weekend in Guilderton so was keen to grab as many of the local caches as my family would allow. Got three yesterday and was able to grab this one early this morning. Quick stroll across the river mouth and up the hill for a quick find at GZ. Great views frok up here. Was last here in 1994, nice to return after so many years. Signed log with to of my geokiddies, left a pathtag too. TFTC.
We just arrived and set up our caravan. We are a bit earlier than our family, so set off for a quick walk( and geocache). Enjoyed the walk and views. TFTC we got an infestation of ticks!! No TB to be seen
