Day 2 of a trip to the Barossa Valley to do some of the Five Oh and Barossa geoart series, as well as any others that are nearby.Manage to get 131 finds for the two days. All caches were found in good condition unless mention otherwise in log. TFTC
Parked nearby and made the short walk to GZ. Third cemetery cache for the day.TFTC
After having already walked 10kms in town this morning, this one ended up seeming alot further out then I had imagined. Nevertheless helped me work off the yummy pizza Pie I had at the bakery!! Cheers
#13988 8:10Day 4 of our Adelaide trip, staying overnight in Barossa Valley. Of course some wine tasting was on the menu, but this early of day, I first did a few of the caches in and around the town of Tanunda. At the local cemetery this was another good find.TFTC SnappyTomCats
Absolutely beautiful at dusk, a great hiding spot. This is cache number 8 for me!
Over from Perth for few days to attend the Leap Day Mega. Today's plan was to head out to explore Gawler and the Barossa, with a selection of caches on the way / during the day that either piqued my interest... or I just happened to be passing by This was one that I stopped off at. I do love an old cemetery so thanks for bringing me here. Cache was a nice quick find TFTC
Thanks SnappyTomCats for placing this cache and for the ongoing maintenance. Find #8685 on 11/6/2023 at 10:12 am
A day trip with friends in the Barossa area. Nice to be out and about enjoying a spot of caching, and time with friends. All caches in good condition unless stated otherwise.

The call came in yesterday from OZGrumpy if I wanted to join on a day caching in the Barossa.
Quick find in the cemetery. RIP all who are here.

Resting place... Yes indeed. The GPS was jumping a little, so reverting to the map helped and we had it in our hands in no time. Found on a big day of caching in the Barossa with naughtybunny. TNLN. Cheers.
Found on a caching trip to the Barossa.
I was initially looking in completely the wrong spot and Chookster spotted this one first. The cache fits in really well to the hide! Log was a little damp but writable.

Looking at my geo map I thought this was in the middle of the vines which made me curious, was this on a bike path? At least the weather is holding out for a nice walk.
Well that was a bit of a surprise. A very peaceful place.

Another day in the Barossa with BettyBoo3747 and the geodoggies.
The weather was looking a bit iffy so we traveled by car collecting caches in the rain around the Barossa.
Yesterday we did the Bethany Cemetery Multi and this was the next closest cache.
So this morning we started here.
There seem to be heaps of small cemeteries dotted all around the Barossa, although I doubt we would have found this one.
Thanks, Robmc.

#19913. Day 10 of our holiday in SA and the weather forecast was for rain, showers and rain. Robmc and I loaded the geodoggies into the chariot and headed off around the countryside collecting caches where we could. Surprisingly, we managed 26 finds and finished off 2 waypoints of an AdLab we started on our last visit.
First stop for the morning. There are so many hidden away historic cemeteries throughout the area. Always interesting to visit them. No trouble finding the cache, so we signed the log, removed some ruibbish and continued on our way.
Thanks SnappyTomCats

Relatively easy to find. Make sure you enter the cemetery and not some random persons driveway
Out in the area to go to the chocolate shop only to find it closed. A few caches before heading home. Found the pencil on the ground so popped it back in the cache after signing and placing back. Had a moment of silence for the babies and children resting nearby.
Second cemetery of the day, and for the second time, there have been others present. I’m forming the opinion that legitimate mourners/visitors are less respectful of the dead than geocachers.
I’ve got a connection with some of those deceased Schrapels.

Accidentally went up someone's driveway and then needed to get through a wire strand fence. Thanks grandeeze for the hide
A nice detour into here today, no one alive was around so made for a nice and easy find
Today I decided to head to Kaiserstuhl Conservation Reserve for a walk around and collect a few caches. Besides finding a few caches on my way there and back home a nice walk around the reserve and roughly 9km walked up and down hills. Although the area isn’t recommended in Summer the weather held off and a nice day out with 33 finds in total.
Thanks for the cache

Found during an enjoyable and eventful caching foray around the backroads of Nuriootpa after attending 'A 10th Geo Birthday and other Stuff' event. Thanks for the cache Grandeeze and SnappyTomCats!
I was heading up to Nuriootpa with erine14, alysse14 and allister w to attend a birthday event and as we were going so far we made it a full on caching day. I had looked at the map and had a few target caches that I would like to get, but other than that we just drove around stopping at caches we drove past. [^] We did manage to visit quite a few of the local cemeteries on our travels which is always interesting.
We had a fun day finding 33 caches and attending a very enjoyable event.
Another cemetery visited and a quick find of the cache.
Thanks for the cache SnappyTomCats.

alysse14, erine14, JJ52 and I came for a drive to the area to attend the 10th Birthday event in Nuriootpa. We found some caches on the way to the event and some on our way home. A great days caching. TFTC SnappyTomCats
Thanks for the cache! Found ourselves visiting a few cemeteries this afternoon!
Had a nice day out with JJ52, allisterw, and erine14. We set out in the morning form down south, found some caches in the morning, attended the excellent 10th Geostuff birthday event in Nuriootpa, and then found some more caches! 34 finds in total, including my 2200th!

A very neat cemetery in the middle of trees & vineyards. Very nice. Had never been here before, despite being born in Tanunda. I found 5 graves of people I had once known. That was a surprise!
Day 440 ( Wednesday 11th) of our trip. Caching along the way, in Greenock today. Going to finish off the Barossa trail run we started last time we were here. TFTC
Only one of the three set at the start of the year was now possible and should be complete by Christmas. [^] So pressure off and back to caching when and where the whimsy takes me whilst I ponder some targets for next year. Today was another Wednesday Wander for four members of Befuddled puzzle solving group and we were headed back to the Barossa for some unfinished hiking.
That done it was time to cruise around and grab a few unfound caches. [^]
A quick find andTB drop today.
***Thanks SnappyTomCats for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***
