On my homeward journey, I decided to stop off to find this cache. A look around at GZ and I soon spotted the hide. Log signed, everything returned as found, then I was on my way again. TFTC.

Heading back to Queensland after an overnight stay in Orange visiting my brother.Thank you, Bedlam!, for a quick find here, nice to have a park and grab on the busy Mitchell Highway.

Who sneezed? Nice used to be a church.

We headed into the flooded eastern states for a week of geocaching fun. The mission was Frying Pan. The only December 2000 placed cache remaining in Australia. All other choices for this month are international. Traveling in style and comfort we selected the next cache on merit and forward movement. Some back tracking was required in the wettest areas. Wildlife seen included a lyre bird, king parrot and a single leech. Mozzies were a pest. Caches were found and signed. Wet logs were wet. Water does that. Numerous TOTTs were employed.

Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Found on a trip from Adelaide to NSW and back with Freddo.

Our main target was ‘Frying Pan’ in the Chichester State Forest, near Barrington Tops north of Newcastle.

We allowed ourselves a week to travel there and back, taking a circuitous route through Victoria and NSW, camping each night and finding a range of caches of interest along the way.

Rains over the past few months meant a few detours along the way and plenty of water about, restricting access to some caches and camping areas. Many of the roads were quite chopped up with potholes and the mosquitoes were plentiful! But we had a good run with the weather, with just the odd shower, but mostly fine, warm and overcast.

Finished work early today, so it was time to head out and grab a cache for the day. Pulled up at GZ, and what a lovely area it is. The cache was obviously spotted upon walking up to GZ, but was well protected, both by the coverage, and the cache guardian looking upon it.

We moved to Macquarie Woods today from Bathurst as it is such a lovely place to camp. We enjoyed our geocaching between here and Orange. So green now after the recent rain and we loved the scenery and history.. Nice hide. Thanks to Bedlam! for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

Day 2 of our taste of the Central West roadtrip, today we we heading to Gundagai from Bathurst, via Parkes. It was nice to see the smoke dissipate as we got further west, but it never seemed to depart altogether, beautiful weather, although the pouring rain we did this leg in before would have been welcomed also.....
Interesting hide/cover - it is proving inviting for ants though! The cache was nicely sealed away from them though.... TFTC!

At first we were a bit cautious entering what we thought was private property, but after having read some old logs we proceeded.
Really inventive camo, though it was full of some small, creepy creatures when opening it.

Day 3 of my trip to the Clear Waters Mega. Dubbo to Queanbeyan, in a round-about way, covering more local government areas. The owner of the old church knows about this one! TFTC.
