Here with Promontory to get through lots of these beautiful Woodlands with just perfect weather.
Doing the Woodlands 100 with my husband and son. Found this little one easily, my son was very happy and liked seeing the grubs we found. Thanks for the cache.
NG & LG found it! Placed it in a safer hiding spot (same place) as where it was changed to was full of mud and critters.
TYFTC my little helper and I found two here I think for the same cache. This is a great one for the little ones to search for.
Checked on this one today. Some how a second cache appeared so the offending cache has been removed. Changed the log.Sharpened the pencil. All good to go.
Headed out on the bike to hunt this arc of the Woodlands series today - and it showed how unfit I am! I obviously came through after Team Woodlands as I only found 1 cache! This one actually took a bit of hunting before spotting its little hide. Thanks to Team Woodlands for this one
Thanks for the cache! Silly song was about dead posts and sleeping posts, and then we forgot the rest of the lyrics when recording, so made something up instead. We stopped here for today, but will be back to adventure for the remaining 90 caches to find here
TFTC.....well this was another "funny one".....found "the old cache" cache exactly where we expected and then found "the new cache" on the ground nearby. Possibly the old one had been "lost" at some stage and replaced....put the both back at the location,
Went for a day out with 2 of our kiddos miss 10 found woodlands on her tablet and I told her we had been before and got some caches there. She was eager to go. Packed a picnic and our dog and off we went. This was our fourth and unfortunately last find for the day. Nice and easy and satisfying cracking the new tubes and writing on the blank logs. Thanks for a great bunch of hides. Found this one pretty easily. Unfortunately it was our last after getting confused on where whistling kite was. Ended up following the path along the back of Living Legends saw a huge mob of roos. Then as we continued while trying to figure the best way to grab some hides we had not got previously a girl ran up to us. Her doggo a white staffy was spooked by the roos and pulled the lead from her hand and ran off. She asked us to keep a look out and ran through the bushland back towards where we came from. We kept walking and about 500m later miss 16 says there she is. Hubby stealthily walked up to her within arms length but she would not come. She the spotted Freddy and came up for a look. Again we just could not catch her. Doggo then ran off and hubby followed her bush bashing. I asked a passer by with a dog if he could spare some treats and he did. Unfortunately we never saw doggo again. Hubby said she got spooked and ran towards Nectarine Rock. We walked back to the car sad we didn't catch the dog or see the girl again to let her know.
Waiting for my mum to get in from the airport so found this cool series and thought we'd see how far we can get!8/100With keepingupwithkdog, TFTC!
I have family arriving in Melbourne next weekend and will be needing to pick them up from the airport. I have never driven to the airport while I have been at my current address in Melbourne, so decided to make the drive out this way in an attempt to familiarise myself with the route. After quickly swinging by the airport, I then made the small drive out towards this park. As it was getting late in the afternoon, I would not be able to complete this series in one attempt, so would have to return at a later date.I soon arrived at GZ after the brief walk from my previous find. As it was starting to get dark, I decided I would begin the return journey to the main carpark after finding this one. As I began searching, as well as watching the planes land nearby, I began to realise this cache was starting to take a little while to find. I was unable to locate the cache in any of the spots I was searching and began to worry that I might have to log this as a DNF. Fortunately however, after a quick expansion of my search area, I located it in a location I hadn't properly searched yet. The cache and its contents were all in good condition. After signing the log, I began making the return walk to the carpark. TFTC
In the area doing an Airport drop off and then we thought we would do the relatively new Woodland Heritage Park Parkrun. Of course we had to do a few geocaches while here. Especially since I have only found 1 geocache in this Local Government Area.Did this small section after Parkrun. While walking here, the friendly horses come over for a pat. We soon learnt that they were all ex-race horses, and had all won multiple millions in price money, pretty cool. Thanks for the cache Team WoodlandsHunter
This morning I had to drop a group at the airport for an early flight, so took the opportunity to pack my MTB in the bus and go caching.
The supine hide took a minute or two to locate by helmet light. All in good condition.
