It was a lovely sunny day today so I decided to make my way back out here to find a few more caches in this series throughout the afternoon. I have already found a large portion of this Woodlands series, and was hoping to tick a few more off today. I had a very successful time caching while I was out here as I managed to find every cache I had intended to. There are still a few more caches remaining in this series I need to find, including the final, so I think that one more trip out to this area will be required in the future. Another quick find while making my way around this series today.TFTC
Checked on this one today.Changed the log.Sharpened the pencil. All good to be found.
After a hiatus of 4 years we are back again to find some more of this series. Found ourselves a safe parking spot and set off on foot in the big park amongst the kangaroos and the big trees. SL at 2.13pm Whoo hoo #11,000 TFTC - another milestone number reached!
TFTC.....well the end really is in sight now and my feet are grateful, frilk and I are almost sixteen kms into the walk, Cache found and log signed.
On secondment to Melbourne, Australia, combined with short holidays here and there. From day 49/74, I was accompanied by my dear son, geocacher Ruupertti, who travelled from Finland to visit me in Australia and to spend a holiday with me in New Zealand at the end of my secondment. Day 50/74, Monday. After we both (me and my son) worked the day remotely from our AirBnB apartment in Keilor Downs, we headed to the lovely Woodlands Historic Park in early evening. We saw so many kangaroos again, and the geocaches too. We had so much fun! Thanks for the cache and greetings from Vaasa, Finland! Logged with [GCDroid](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gcdroid).
Found it flying away in bush, not sure where was hidden so have placed it where I thought may have been
We had to look around a bit, turn here and there, but found it pretty easily! Interesting spot and story!
Enjoyed a lovely day here with excellent company of moonbi and even the weather was on our side. With a long day walking around managed to find almost half the caches on offer. We will be back Thanks for all the work that has gone into placing and maintaining this great series
I was in the area after dropping my partner and daughter off at the airport. This was my third visit and I'm slowly plugging my way through the entire series. I walked a little over 13km on this cool June day.
I found doing these today was much better compared to the summer months as there really isn't a lot of tree over. All these were found easily using the hints provided. Thanks for the series, I'll probably finish it on the next run -

A huge day out with a total of 69 caches found for the day (including #100 for me and #1000 for jaamc_3335). A big thank you to team TACKT for inviting me along for the adventure and Team Woodlands for placing and maintaining all the logs!
On a beautiful sunny winters day Team TACKT + C set off for on our mission, nice quick find, thanks for placing this series
Out and about with Team T.A.C.K.T including Jaamc, Kpatt and tag along cazzajane07. We had a goal to tackle this series to help cover milestones for some of our members, 69 caches down, 20km of park explored and we had a blast, there was laughter, tears, the occasional swear as we took on the long hike and we all had a fantastic day out with the team :3
After visiting the nearby CITO and gathering some information for the nearby Cache Crawl event, I decided the weather was now too good to go home. The sun was shining and so I headed to woodlands to do another loop.
Over time three bits have become four, but still very obvious.
Cache and log is in good condition.
Thanks Team_Woodlands for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Au Fait and I had a lovely walk doing the caches in this loop. It was nice to walk in this area with the trees, stumps and posts all telling their own story.
Thanks for the caches Team_Woodlands.
Thanks for the caches Team_Woodlands.
Loaded up the deadly treadly and headed off for another few hours at Woodlands.
Completed a small loop starting at the southern car park, and doing several eastern caches.
A few groups of muggles along this section of the road, made finding a bit slow.
A nice day to hang around though.
Thanks, Robmc.

Well that’s a first... two containers both for the same cache (same number on the log ) does that make up for my DNF just now? Hmm... don’t think so
Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to Team_Woodlands for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Great series. I thought I'd incorporate Geocaching with a trail run through this lovely park on a weekend visit to Melbourne. Thank you

Find # 11468
Found with Tyred n Cranky.
Well this has been a long time coming, to do the Woodlands caches. Many a plan has fallen through due to health and pandemic and work issues. But finally all was on our side for a cracker geocaching day to end 2022.
With bikes loaded up we were off, left St.Arnaud just before 6am and had the first cache signed at 8.55am. Then it was just one by one, following the GPSr.
From flowing trails to bush bashing (with and without tall grass) and even a bit of water, we had a lot. All the while the sounds of planes going overhead, birds around and the odd 100 roos thumping the ground when we disturbed them.
We managed to make good time and accomplish all we set out to do. Despite the heat and a couple of hills I had to walk up.
We believe luck was on our side with the back paddock being opened, after seeing so many had commented on it being shut.
All in All, personally, it was great to finally get this series done with a couple others thrown in that are in the park.
Oh and by the way, we got back home just after 9.30pm. A big days outing.

Find No. 3916. Found with FUF009.
A day trip down to do the Woodland series of caches.
Took our bicycles and FUF009 came with us.
Arrived at the gate, unloaded our bikes, had a cuppa and off we went getting our first cache at 8.55am.
We worked our way through the series stopping several times to watch the coming and going of the jets at Tullamarine.
After a long warm day with several challenges, we arrived back at the car park for a rest and well earned cuppa.
We put the clues together, punched in the co-ords and went and claimed the final cache of the series.

Having dropped mum off at the airport, catnap777 and I made the most of our day by cycling the Woodlands in such perfect weather.
On this our 2nd visit to the park together, we managed to pick up every last available cache in the Woodlands, leaving only those behind the catproof fence for us to find (in the Back Paddock) on another day when Parks Victoria eventually unlock the double gates. [^]
All caches were found or returned in good condition with dry logs and sharp pencils.

I scored a trifecta here. I spent ten minutes searching with a previous finder and found nothing. I then resorted to reading previous logs and discovered that 1. the cache is missing, 2. the previous 'finder' didn't log a DNF or a Needs Maintenance log and 3. the CO has left the cache enabled despite knowing it is missing. [:(!]
Checked on this one this afternoon.
Cache was definitely missing so it has been replaced.
All good to go.

This was the last find I needed to complete the Woodland series after a DNF last visit. After searching for about 15 minutes I gave up and messaged the CO. The cache is definitely where it should be and is GOA. With the blessings of the CO I am logging this find without signing the log. Hey I found the GZ. Thanks for this series Team Woodlands

About and about with biggles1024 trying to see how many of the Woodlands 100 we can find.
This series has been on the to do list since it was published and for one reason or another we just haven’t made it out here, today we finally did.
Cache was found and log stamped or signed.
**Thanks to Team_Woodlands for placing this cache.**

Non-caching duties complete, I have a good chunk of the day left to myself. I’ve decided on a third nibble of the Woodland series. I started this on a visit to Melbourne in 2020, and was smitten. It will be a sad day when there are no more left to do.
Love this foresty section along here.
Thanks for the cache and series Team Woodlands

Thirty-Second cache of the day. I am really enjoying this series. There is so much animal and bird life everywhere. A slice of bush in suburbia.
