We were heading home when I decided to detour this way for a couple more caches. We had no idea this reserve was here. The geohound loved getting another run in some long wet grass, I wasn't as enthralled when I walked through a muddy patch. But I found the cache and signed the log so it wasn't that bad.
Loy was full so added a bit of paper from an old receipt.. didn't have my waterproof paper with me or would have replaced with a proper new log.. cache hide quite hard to find.. TFTC
Found w mrpretty. Was in area for a spot of fishing and hunted for the couple caches in the area . Cool lil place.
Side note, log is extremely full lol still found a place for our names though.
Out for an evening's caching with rattll around Karaka. GZ turned out to be a very quiet and secluded spot. The cache took a bit of finding, but we persisted in going through the vegetation for multiple sweeps before rattll made the find. All well. Tftc!
Another quiet little spot we would not have known about but for geocaching. This one took quite a bit of spotting . It helped to look from the right angle. Thanks for putting this here
Found with Reny90. The log paper was very very wet and would probably do with a replacement. Quickly spotted
TFTC
Awesome rest area
Now to ride my MTB to Wattle Downs

Bottle top drop the mic another find for today, and even helped a muggle fill his gas can and get back to his car.
Lovely spot haven't been down this far, thanks for bringing us here

A little walk around here and M13 found it easily, nice easy find here, log all good and signed, TFTC .
Visiting the rallies in nearby Pukekohe so stopped off here to grab a few caches. TFTC
Haven't been in this general area for nearly two decades so we noticed a huge amount of development and many, many no exit roads. However, we were pleased to see so many small parks or reserves available. The coords were spot on and what a super surprise this little reserve gives. Thanks mike-miss, cache OK and dry.
Had to fill in a dot day so this was close by. This was a quick find. Nice out here
Nice and easy due to good hint. Nice to be brought to a unknown little place that we would've bypassed otherwise. TFTC
Afternoon outing collecting some of the solved Crayola 64 series and exploring this area of Auckland. After lunch and finding BT Stop we wandered a bit further along and collected another smiley face here - TFTC
With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... School Holidays are almost at an end. The family decided they wanted to spend the last few days in Auckland - Does this mean we can go caching?
It rained for large parts of our stay. In the end, it became too hard to contemplate navigating around Auckland solo, so our big plans came to nought. By Saturday, we were glad to catch up with Gap and clear away some caches that had been bugging us for far too long... Let’s do this!
Thankfully, we learnt that the surrounding waterway is called Bottle Top Bay - It does not reference the cache which is not a bottle top. A quiet reserve with a great view of the mangroves... Thanks mike-miss and TFTC.

We were looking for a place to have our lunch and a public toilet when we found this lovely reserve. The tide was nearly out but still very attractive for those that like mangrove areas. TFTC.
Carried on over to this one after the stop cache. Very pleased for a quick find here as you never know with this type of hide. TFTC # 14,341
Nice early morning walk but got wet feet . Took a lot longer than it should have done but found in the end.
Time for another wander round while my wife stays with some friends. I was a little lonely today but still managed a good haul which included this little cache. Funny seeing this seat but the growth leaving nearly no view over the harbour. Found quickly thanks to a good hint, accurate coords and a straight forward placement. Cheers & TFTC
Find number 4567. Nice little walk around to GZ. It was a hot sunny day so I was pleased to stand in the shade as I looked around. Spotted it and soon had it signed. Thank you for the placement.
In the area to look at a school for Tinytree, Mrs B and I decided to call by and have a short walk to these 2 caches. We both did not have the right footwear on giving us wet feet from the grass but otherwise enjoyed the short stroll. Cache is in good condition. TFTC.
What a great little place for a short stroll. Yes indeed had to keep an eye on Miss 6 and Master 8 in regards to the drop off behind the cache. But with their sharp little eyes the cache was soon spotted. TFTC
Clear and blue sky so I decided to go out and grab some Caches about lunch time.
This was the first one. The way to GZ was pretty muddy but the Cache is nice and dry and has a new blank logbook.
Thanks for hiding.

Visited here with zboy wonder - 2 sets of eyes looking for this one. Nah, no luck.
Me thinks it might be a good idea for the CO to check this one.
Thanks for the placement - a wee tucked away spot that you probably wouldn't otherwise visit.

Geocaching with my mum and dog today, this was my second attempt at finding this cache. Went to GZ, thoroughly searched, attempting to slightly broaden my searching sight. My mum was pacing up and down with the dog nearby and suddenly found the cache. TFTC
Starting something new in this part of Auckland. Not yet decided how often I will be coming down. But Iam glad that my zone is increasing. As many others I was focusing on GZ, but the turned around for some reason.. what!!! found it just staring on my face. its all good here. tftc.
We were talked into visiting this cache by one of our team mates who had previously been unsuccessful here. While a few of us concentrated on GZ one of the team widened the search and soon had the cache in hand. Signed as Team Westies. Had to replace the log with a new waterproof log as the old log was full and pulp.
I talked my Team Westie mates into coming here since I had a DNF on this cache. Glorious day weather-wise and 6 of us converged upon this cache. Right, I'll get stuck in for another search....'found it' was the cry out I heard, that was quick! it was found almost straight away! Awesome. But how did I not see that last time, it was so obvious! Anyway I was grateful for a quick find here and on we went, just a few more caches and it's time for the GIFF event at 3pm.
Gorby wanted to come back for another look here so we off we went and thought we might be in for a bit of a search but as we spread out Jag50 almost immediately called out 'found it!' That was quick! Gorby can't have looked hard enough the first time
Found this with Team Westies on way to GIFF Event !
Jag 50 made another of her speedy finds !

We were talked into helping one of our team mates search for this cache after a previous DNF. One ventured further from our search area and turned up with the cache in hand. Had to replace the log with a new waterproof log as the old log was full and pulp.
Found after 4th visit......howd i miss that? . Log completely saturated ...will need some TLC. Unable to sign, photo sent to co as proof
With a jumpy GPS and a frustratingly large search area we'd lost hope within ten minutes of starting the search. After calling it quits, Amy turned and found it. We tried to sign the very waterlogged cache with not much luck - may need maintenance. Well camoed, TFTC
After leaving the Orona Island group of cachers, before I left Karaka, I wanted to collect a couple more caches, as I needed to be at Mt Eden, so I was on a tight timeline. Thankfully a short walk to GZ, then the fun began! hmm whats the hint again, ahh yes I love those cache containers (they can blend in too well!) After expanding GZ, then starting again, spotted what I was looking for, yeah! and I did spend a little time looking at the view. Thanks for the hide
We seem to be making a habit of this (although its usually because there are publications)....we had arranged a pot luck dinner tonight and once we had finished some trivial pursuit and dessert was out of the way a movie went on for the kids so a few of us decided to head off to grab some caches as a couple in the group still needed one for the international geocaching day souvenir - well as you can imagine one is never enough.....
Made the short walk to GZ through quite muddy grass and found the correct spot shortly after even though we discussed how high a metre actually is .
Thanks for the cache. Signed as stuffed.

Had been to a potluck dinner with a few fellow geocaches and after a very filling dinner decided to do a bit of caching.
Wandered through to GZ with dogs barking in the background which we hoped didn't bring any muggles out as it was late at night.
The grass was wet and a few of us still had our "goodie" shoes on so were concerned these were all getting wet!
Cache was found and log signed as our group name "stuffed" as we had all eaten way to much at dinner time.

A group of us decided to have a games night and a potluck dinner. So at around 10:30pm a few of us decide that we will find a few caches. So we left the kids with a few other of the adults and 5 of us head on out.
Was a quick find with the help of our torch

A group of us had gathered for a pot luck dinner out this way and had just been beaten by the children in a game of Trivial Pursuits, so in a bid to stem the children from giving us all grief we offered them a movie whilst we all chatted...
Having just staged a FTF notification a gauge a few FTF hunters reactions, and that most of us were active cachers, it was decided to find a few local ones.
We needed a cache find today for a souvenir so it was quickly decided for a quick trip down the road....
This was the second for the night after having disturbed a car parked up in the nearby carpark, nice quick find.
Thanks for bringing us here...
TFTC.
Signed as 'stuffed' due to the huge dinner just eaten.

We had a few geocachers and their families around for a pot luck dinner and games night. After the kids had beaten the adults again at Trivial Pursuit, they got to watch a movie while the adults chatted. It was discovered that we were not the only ones to have not yet found a cache for international geocaching day (we were too busy cleaning the house earlier), a crew of 5 headed out around 10:30 to find a cache (or more) to gain the souvenir. The log was signed as stuffed as everyone was well and truly stuffed after the delicious dinner and dessert. Thanks for placing a cache here.
Have been to the bay before but not this part of it. Thanks for the cache and the tour!
This took a fair bit of searching but eventually found it in the same general area I had looked at then left several times already. I wasn't expecting the reserve to carry on around so TFTC
knocked off the near by cache while waiting for a paddling buddy to turn up.. now here, i take the muggle to find this cache.. but the muggle got bored quick so i had to find it my self... >note the suspension item is dead and may not be there for much longer - that one bit any way.. might pay to check.<
found out who left me the pen at the other cache - the ink matched the last log entry here.. must thank them.. how would i have signed other wise;-)

Husb had found this a few months back. A bit tricky to find but did eventually spot it.
