Thats my 50 finds for the dayWe had a rider from NZ stay with us overnight is crossing the country from west to east. We dropped him off at Murray Bridge which left me time to cache around Tailem Bend for the day.Team Waldron, I found Wandering Heroes...Setsujoku today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Found it! After a morning walk in Monarto and intending to spend the day in that area, a FTF hunt led me further east past Tailem Bend. After successfully grabbing the FTFs, I continued on to the endless Wandering Heroes series. Quick find here. TFTC!
Out and about caching today. Great day out in the countryside and thanks to CO for the placement of the cache. Cache found and log signed. TFTC
Spending several days in Tailem Bend to collect the 'Straya' Challenges, Ice Cream geoart, some of the Wandering heroes and quite a few interesting caches. Thanks to the many CO's who placed and maintain these caches - it is appreciated.
Find # 14143I'm in the Adelaide area for the Great Leap Forward event. Not just for the days event, but making it a week long trip of caching n catching up with mates.Flying solo......Day 8. Homeward-bound.Day started off with a tree climb and a big stretch off the ground. Then a bit of a look around Mt Barker. Then it was the trails. It's been a while since I've hit a long trail and being alone it was just me and the caches to fill the rest of the day in. Some power trails are tougher than others, ie parking locations and barriers can be annoying and chew up time. But happily I managed all hurdles. Even the odd orb spider that made some tracks mazes. Happily that what I'd pland out fell into place with only a couple of DNFs.End of day was a surprise with my biggest solo grab of over 300 in a day. But I have plenty more trails in SA to utilise if I want to better that score TFTC Team Waldron
Another bite out of the Wandering Heroes juggernaut yielding about 15 finds today. The enormity of the task is sinking in now; Ive still barely scratched the surface, still well under half complete. No DNFs today, and all caches were in pretty good shape considering their age and the conditions out here. Thanks to all the respective COs, and also to all who have assisted to keep this trail intact thus keeping all the history documented here alive. Ive thought that this name sounds like a Japanese word, but it doesnt seem to translate. An ongoing mystery, like a lot of cachers names.
Day 5 of tackling this series. Based on Murray Bridge. What a great section of this series. Enjoyed the day. Thank you to all the cachers who put these out for us to locate. Found 64 and 2 dnf today.
Just a short trip for caching today, targeting a few local wandering hero caches. TFTC Team Waldron. All caches were well maintained, thank you COs.
TFTC Team Waldron for your cache Wandering Heroes...Setsujoku that we found today.
WE are camped at the Football Oval for a few days exploring and caching around the area. Today the plan was to head along the Kulda Road finding Wandering Hero caches. We got to Martin Road and then detoured as the traffic along the road was getting a bit much for us. All caches found in good nick and pretty accurate co-ordinates.
Find count : 15787

A nice quick find. I’ve found this recipient’s caches around the place before. But don’t think we ever met.

Caching with the JAMS crew finding Wandering Heroes caches. We ended up finding over 300 and hiding 2 more. We replaced a lot of containers that were broken. We had a few showers of rain early which were getting us wet but they didn't last too long and it ended up being a nice day. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing the caches.
Out with the JAMS crew JJ52, Mogni, Allister W and sir_spectre, plus TallBikeStan and BratKat on this run. The logs where stamped as Mystery Randoms. The target's today where the Wander Heros trail ( as far as we could get ) plus any other caches in the towns or close to the road and the nearby Lab cache in Karoonda. We got slowed down by the rain till almost lunch. No wildlife sighted, not even a kanagroo. We found over 300 + caches, some of us had found some of them before but we are aligning all of our maps to the same finds. We replaced over 40 wandering heroes caches we found broken, most logbooks where dry and put in the new cache. Any logsbooks found close to full had a scroll added to the cache and all broken caches we removed and put in the bin. By the end of the day we had over a garage bag full of broken caches.
Another JAMS day was organised to tackle the Wandering Heroes trail (JJ52, allister w, mogni, sir_spectre plus tallbikestan and BratKat). We started the day with rain and hail as we drove through the hills towards Tailem Bend but by the time we started the series we just had a couple of light showers and then for the rest of the day it was fine although we had strong cool winds.
That didn't stop us though, and we had a fun day finding around 300 caches plus an Adventure Lab in Karoonda. We had come prepared with lots of spare containers and replaced a heap of broken containers and sometimes logbooks. We managed to get to Sandalwood where we called it a day, so now have plans to come back and completed the last of the series.
This was my first visit out here since 2016 and by the end of the day I had 197 finds plus the Adventure Lab which I was pretty happy about.
Thanks for the cache Team Waldron.

This evening, I decided to make the drive to Tailem Bend to attend the CITO event, hosted by a few visiting Canberra Geocachers. The park was very clean by the end, and to justify my long drive, I then did a large loop of the *Wandering Heroes* geocaches. My morale was high, and I ended up finding a significant number, with some great creativity that had gone into some of those hides. A late night drive back home.
I made the drive to do a full *Wandering Heroes* loop that were the closest to Tailem Bend; That is, along Kulde Road as far as Zytheran's cache, and then returning back along Westbrook Road. I had completed a few miscellaneous heroes geocaches along here, in particular the new-ish ones when I had been in the area with others, and so tonight it was a matter of getting in the right frame of mind, and getting to work. This geocache was a reasonably quick find, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Team Waldron for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Made a trip to Tailem Bend to take pick up some single caches runing south along the easten side of the river. but found they weren't included in the GSAK search so a quick change of course brought me out to the WH series again to find some more of them and a couple of others. All were wuick finds including the single caches. TFTC
Day 174 (Thursday 20th) of our trip. Caching along the way. In Tailem bend today. A total of 42 for the day and 3081 for the trip. TFTC
Out and about knocking off a few more of the wandering hero’s series. Cache and contents are all good. SLTNLN TFTC
Thanks Team Waldron for this cache, and your contribution to the whole WH series. I was on a mission today to grab as many of these as I could. Logging most from home after returning, satisfied and exhausted.
A quick find while staying it Tailem Bend to finish this end of the trail.Log very wet.TFTC
We had two hours of the afternoon left before sunset, and so we decided to search for a chunk of these Wandering Heroes caches before heading off to our campsite for the night. We enjoyed reading about the various geocachers, some of whose names we recognise as owners of caches we have found on our travels around Australia, and some whose names we recognise having seen them in log books around the country. Many thanks to the COs for having laid the trail and we hope we might be able to complete it on a future visit to Australia - maybe we might even get to meet some of the COs and the geocachers mentioned at the Clearwaters and St Arnaud 2019 Mega Events that we will be attending. This one was a nice quick find once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
We were heading out of Palmer today and just picked out a couple of caches on our way to our next destination with ilook4geo.
Then we started on a trail of caches placed in honour of Wandering Heroes of the geocaching game. Although some of the cache containers and logs were on good condition, there were also quite a few where the containers were badly damaged and no longer are weather or vermin proof. Some logs also need to be replaced as they are either full, wet or mouldy.
However, each found log had two more names added and all was put back as it had been found. Thanks go to the CO for their part in this trail of caches.

Moving on today and still caching with goingplaces2. Found quite a lot for the day and signed each log. The Wandering Heroes caches were sometimes a bit challenging to find and some needed a lot of maintenance. All was put back into place before we moved on. TFTC.
On a spur of the moment trip to Tailem Bend to have a bit of caching fun.
Spent the day picking up caches in the area and surrounds and starting this great series which I will return one day to finish.
A great variety of cache containers were found in all sorts of ways.
Thanks Team Waldron TFTC.

I had planned a big few days of caching in SA so I left work on a Tuesday evening and hit the road from Melbourne. This was my third full day of caching and the Wandering Heroes caches (and assorted others nearby) were on my target list. It was a blisteringly hot day (felt hotter than the 39C recorded on my car!) and the dry and dusty conditions made it hard going at times. My first task having left where I was staying overnight in Murray Bridge was to head to the Geopets series. Once I was done there I headed on to the Wandering Heroes and others along that route. Many took me longer than expected with different containers, hide styles and some further off the road. In the end I had to adjust my expectation of finds for the day before I headed north to where I was staying overnight. Thanks to Team Waldron for this cache and to all COs for placing and maintaining this remarkable series. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Having started the oz mega signal yester, I headed back down south with the intention of finishing it and making a start on the wandering heroes’ caches. It was perfect weather for a long day of caching, after a few caches the mojo was back and good progress was made. Stopping in Wellington for lunch (and more caches) it was off to Tailem Bend and a steady slog was made into the wandering heroes. Eventually, as the sun was setting it was time to call it a day and head home after an enjoyable day.

Congrats on being honoured on this trail.
Yet another fabulous day out with gridge98...so fabulous that we stamped all of the logs as "Fabulous Randoms" (the ink in a few was becoming a little light).
We stopped at about 150 caches today as we were on a mission for Connor to reach his 4,000th caching milestone, and for me to get closer to my 10,000th. I'd found a few before today so my find count was a little lower, but anything over the 100 mark is a great day caching! We even began our day by attending a coffee event at 7:30am and then finished it with dinner and movies...haha, yep, the GIFF event was on tonight at the German Club.
Thanks so much for the cache Team Waldron! [^]

We found 150 along the way till we had to pull the pin and head home. Happy to find my 4000th at the last one. TFTC for all the CO for placing the caches. Some of the caches are in poor condition others are fantastic hides. We stamped all the caches with the fabulous randoms stamp

Stay at Murray Bridge for few days before heading to Adelaide from Melbourne to see my family and also a week break from work. Came here to do the Wandering Heroes caches for the day. Nice and found. TFTC!!
Found with geokids and geopup Murphy. In the area to collect the newly placed cache in our honour! TNLNSL.TFTC.
I was on my way to Barmera, with a bit of time on my hands as planned lol, so I was going to find some interesting caches along the way and a few of the power trail caches. The rain stopped, which was a bonus. At some point I decided to stop only for the large ones, otherwise I would never make it to my destination for the night! TFTC!!
Checked on this at the request of the CO while doing a Wandering Hero maintenance run with hevwalker. All in good condition.

Out caching with Hevwalker today to make a dent on some more of the Wandering Heros caches.
We had a fun time but didn't hit the 100 we had initially hoped for. For me it was 63 finds for the day. I was happy with that.

Love this trail and the challenge of finding all the different caches. TFTC and trail. High heels TB on journey with us.
A quick and easy drive by as we cache our way through this series. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Oh wow, what a trail ! The WEEO and I flew down from Canberra to cache this trail and around MB and my wonderful Auntie put us up (future cacher there too ). We made it all the way to Loxton in 2 days but were shagged by the end. The caches were mostly fab and gave us a laugh along the way.
Thanks to all you cachers in the MB area for the great work in putting this together, you guys rock!

What a great trail, the weather is fine, the birds are singing and we are "in the groove". Thanks to all the cachers who put this trail together, we are having a ball and have not missed a beat, so far. 3-Kings and I have come all the way from NSW to experience this trail and it was well worth it. After a few months of planning, and trial runs I finally attempted and complete my goal of doing a 24 hour SOLO cache run!!!
One Man, One Day, 441 caches found!
I booked two nights at Murray bridge and arrived at 8:00 pm. Attempted without success to sleep until 11:30 pm then got up and went to the location of the first cache. As the clock turned to midnight I began.
Speed through the Oz Mega 2014 Trail with only a handful of DNFs, then picked a few up along the highway until I got to the GeoPets trail.
After this I cut through to Wandering Heroes and completed up to the "OTS: May" trail. Went along this and came back into Tailem Bend for lunch and fuel and few in town. Was beginning to get weary but proceeded back to where I left off in the Wandering Heroes.
From here on in I just completed as many of these as I could up through Karoonda in the hot hot mid 30's day until midnight stuck a few kms east of town.
441 finds was the total count and now I just had to drive back to Murray Bridge. Easier said then done after being awake for practically 40 hours. Hit the hotel pillow at 1:20 am and was out within seconds.
Thanks for all the wonderful caches around this area, and sorry for generic logs.

I found this cache today as number 73 of 161 in company of Cold Freeze on our Karoonda Road Run III. Our first run back in 2008 was well before Wandering Heroes and yielded just 14 caches along the entire road and our caching figures were in the 2,000's back then. Our second run in 2012 brought us 160 caches where we started at Loxton and continued caching all the way past Karoonda to just before the Murray Bridge - Tailem Bend Junction. From there, we headed into Tailem Bend for Dinner and continued back from there for a few extra caches before giving up about an hour before dark. Our caching numbers were in the 5,000s at that time. Today, with caching numbers now in the 8,000s, we picked up at the point we had left off last time near the Murray Bridge - Tailem Bend Junction and headed south with the aim of finishing off all of these caches then caching our way back towards Loxton. I had not counted the caches in this section before leaving home and I thought that there were probably about 80 caches there. Once we got them all done, we found that there were just over 140 left in that area so we didn't get much past Karoonda on the way back after all. A great day though nonetheless and there looks to be at least one more full caching day to come at some stage. Thanks to all cache placers in this series today from D B-A.
On a quick two to three day get away by myself. Heading over to Tailem Bend and Murray Bridge to pick up a few smiley face along the way collecting mostly Earthcaches, Letterbox Hybrids, Wherigos and 'Finds by hidden month' I need to fill - Plus any others that are nearby any of the rarer types I'm after in boosting my numbers a little.
Day 1: After leaving on Home on Sunday I was fortunate to have excellent weather on my side and a great run also traffic wise, which was great as it enabled me to get quite a lot of KM's done and caches done too while on my way to Tailem Bend for the night and get an early start on the trail in Murray Bridge.
Day 2: After spending the night in Tailem Bend I made an early start at first light to cram as many caches in today as I can. After completing the Geopets series in Tailem Bend I headed over to Murray Bridge to grab a coffee and then do and complete the OZmega series and a few in between before returning back to Tailem Bend for the night.
Was an epic day with 218 caches found and logged!
Day 3: Made this my last day in SA before calling it "time-out" and head back across the border to VIC.
Did a few more this morning including making a start on the Wandering Heroes series before 10:30 before calling it quits.
Thanks Team Waldron for the cache.

We had arrived in Tailem Bend last night, met up with Geodad as he has been working in Adelaide for almost 3 weeks. We surely do miss him. Our Geoboys had no football this w/end, we had nothing planned so this treck was in mind not being sure what the weather was going to be like we thought we would give it a start anyway. We had breakfast, a few cachers around Tailem Bend. Filled the car with fuel, said our goodbyes to Geodad & away we went on this incredible experience. Starting at approx 11am. Had a quick glance of the Honour Roll to see who & how many of these awesome geocachers we knew or had met on our travels during our Geocaching Experience. We haven't had the pleasure to meet Setsujoku as of yet. Quick & easy find. TFTS
Take 2 at what we started during OZ Mega Murray Bridge, took us a while to get back here but we made it. TFTC.

We arrived in Tailem Bend about 7.30 a.m. to make a start on the Wandering Heroes trail in the hope of getting 100 per day for two days. Our first day was tiring with a fair bit of bush bashing to do to get caches.
We got caught in quite a few showers of rain and spent a long time on the road, but managed a comfortable tally for the day.
Thanks to all who placed and maintained caches here for this great 'adventure trail'. Excuse my generic logs, but with so many to do, individual logs are a bit past me tonight.
Thanks Team Waldron for your effort here.

Container breaking down. Log damp. Wrapped it in a doggies bag (unused) to protect it from the weather.
Another find in this series on a very warm day, a bit of a challenge for cachers from Tassie. We enjoyed the hides although they were sometimes so close together that we barely got the cachemobile on the road before we had to pull over again. However didn't like the ants and they were everywhere today, not used to them! TFTC and the series.
Found during an epic Australia Day long weekend of caching road trip through Victoria and South Australia.
TNLN, thanks Team Waldron.

An easy find for us today. Stamped and returned as found.
We had planned a family geo trip a few weeks ago and I left it up to the geo wife to decide where she wanted to go. Murray Bridge was one of three places to visit. Lucky she decided on this area, so we could try for 200+ in a day. It was a very hot day & plenty of hours were spent in the car with much water needed. We found some great containers & loved the idea of this series. Now to rest the wheels....
