Day 174 (Thursday 20th) of our trip. Caching along the way. In Tailem bend today. A total of 34 for the day and 3073 for the trip. TFTC
Out and about knocking off a few more of the wandering hero’s series. Cache and contents are all good. SLTNLN TFTC
Thanks Muzza for this cache, and your contribution to the whole WH series. I was on a mission today to grab as many of these as I could. Logging most from home after returning, satisfied and exhausted.
Lid busted. Log soggy. Could use some TLC.
Thanks for the cache Muzza.

Find #9359
We had two hours of the afternoon left before sunset, and so we decided to search for a chunk of these Wandering Heroes caches before heading off to our campsite for the night. We enjoyed reading about the various geocachers, some of whose names we recognise as owners of caches we have found on our travels around Australia, and some whose names we recognise having seen them in log books around the country. Many thanks to the COs for having laid the trail and we hope we might be able to complete it on a future visit to Australia - maybe we might even get to meet some of the COs and the geocachers mentioned at the Clearwaters and St Arnaud 2019 Mega Events that we will be attending. This one was a nice quick find once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
We were heading out of Palmer today and just picked out a couple of caches on our way to our next destination with ilook4geo.
Then we started on a trail of caches placed in honour of Wandering Heroes of the geocaching game. Although some of the cache containers and logs were on good condition, there were also quite a few where the containers were badly damaged and no longer are weather or vermin proof. Some logs also need to be replaced as they are either full, wet or mouldy.
However, each found log had two more names added and all was put back as it had been found. Thanks go to the CO for their part in this trail of caches.

Moving on today and still caching with goingplaces2. Found quite a lot for the day and signed each log. The Wandering Heroes caches were sometimes a bit challenging to find and some needed a lot of maintenance. All was put back into place before we moved on. TFTC.
On a spur of the moment trip to Tailem Bend to have a bit of caching fun.
Spent the day picking up caches in the area and surrounds and starting this great series which I will return one day to finish.
A great variety of cache containers were found in all sorts of ways.
Thanks muzza TFTC.

I had planned a big few days of caching in SA so I left work on a Tuesday evening and hit the road from Melbourne. This was my third full day of caching and the Wandering Heroes caches (and assorted others nearby) were on my target list. It was a blisteringly hot day (felt hotter than the 39C recorded on my car!) and the dry and dusty conditions made it hard going at times. My first task having left where I was staying overnight in Murray Bridge was to head to the Geopets series. Once I was done there I headed on to the Wandering Heroes and others along that route. Many took me longer than expected with different containers, hide styles and some further off the road. In the end I had to adjust my expectation of finds for the day before I headed north to where I was staying overnight. Thanks to muzza for this cache and to all COs for placing and maintaining this remarkable series. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. GReat to see a familiar subject hero and CO.
Having started the oz mega signal yester, I headed back down south with the intention of finishing it and making a start on the wandering heroes’ caches. It was perfect weather for a long day of caching, after a few caches the mojo was back and good progress was made. Stopping in Wellington for lunch (and more caches) it was off to Tailem Bend and a steady slog was made into the wandering heroes. Eventually, as the sun was setting it was time to call it a day and head home after an enjoyable day.

I don't know Biggles Bear personally, but I have been captivated by a few of their caches. Congrats on being honoured on this trail.
Yet another fabulous day out with gridge98...so fabulous that we stamped all of the logs as "Fabulous Randoms" (the ink in a few was becoming a little light).
We stopped at about 150 caches today as we were on a mission for Connor to reach his 4,000th caching milestone, and for me to get closer to my 10,000th. I'd found a few before today so my find count was a little lower, but anything over the 100 mark is a great day caching! We even began our day by attending a coffee event at 7:30am and then finished it with dinner and movies...haha, yep, the GIFF event was on tonight at the German Club.
Thanks so much for the cache Muzza! [^]

A day out with GoodLook on a mission to do as much of the wandering heroes series.
We found 150 along the way till we had to pull the pin and head home. Happy to find my 4000th at the last one. TFTC for all the CO for placing the caches. Some of the caches are in poor condition others are fantastic hides.

Stay at Murray Bridge for few days before heading to Adelaide from Melbourne to see my family and also a week break from work. Came here to do the Wandering Heroes caches for the day. Nice and found. TFTC!!
With the magical creatures souvenirs coming to an end soon, I decided I needed to grab a few more caches this weekend to knock most of them out. With a couple of events on not too far from some mostly untouched power trails, I made my way down to Murray Bridge, then spent the afternoon evening attacking the start of Wandering Heroes, as well as the start of the Popes series, along with a few others in between.
This was find number 33 of 72 for the day for me. TFTC Muzza!

I was on my way to Barmera, with a bit of time on my hands as planned lol, so I was going to find some interesting caches along the way and a few of the power trail caches. The rain stopped, which was a bonus. At some point I decided to stop only for the large ones, otherwise I would never make it to my destination for the night! TFTC!!
Had a free half day and decided to notch up a few of the Wandering Heroes series. It was great to get some background on some of the familiar team names I have encountered while out and about. TFTC.
Lovely day mission to do the Trail on MrPancakes birthday. Thank you for the cache
Found on a one month road trip around Australia. Sorry for the generic log. TNLNSL TFTC

Thanks to all of the cache owners and caching teams that have this series named after them. Thanks also to those who make the effort to maintain other's caches so that people like us can do these caching runs. Apologies for the generic logs...

jinta29 and I are in town this week after many months of planning for a week to remember. We are heading to the Yorke Peninsula, Murray Bridge and as many places in between as we can get to. This was one we found along the way.

Day 5 of our SA jaunt had us targeting the Wandering Heroes series and anything else that took our fancy [^]. We camped last night at Tailem Bend and we are unsure how far todays travels will take us
I had been eyeing off an interstate trip for some time now and made plans to head to SA to power through the geoart trails over here . I roped in my geo buddy Krabiboy to join me and we set about solving [?] caches and highlighting Jasmer caches that aren't available over in WA. Our adventure took us from the CBD over to the Yorke Peninsula and then back across to the Murray Bridge area . We were relentless in chasing down the finds and picked up as many as we could in the week that we had available. Due to the park and grab nature of our visit, the log books which weren't able to accommodate the ink stamp we had made were signed with the initials 'jk'! Fave points will be awarded for those caches which are considered awesome
A massive thanks here to Muzza for placing this cache here and for tempting us to venture over to this area. Cheers!
jinta29 found your cache Wandering Heroes ... Biggles Bear today. This is my find #7638 and find #49 today. I was able to get my name in the log book here and we replaced the cache as we found it. Thanks once again Muzza for placing this and bringing us to this part of the world!

Love this trail and the challenge of finding all the different caches. TFTC and trail. High heels TB on journey with us.
A quick and easy drive by as we cache our way through this series. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Oh wow, what a trail ! The WEEO and I flew down from Canberra to cache this trail and around MB and my wonderful Auntie put us up (future cacher there too ). We made it all the way to Loxton in 2 days but were shagged by the end. The caches were mostly fab and gave us a laugh along the way.
Thanks to all you cachers in the MB area for the great work in putting this together, you guys rock!

What a great trail, the weather is fine, the birds are singing and we are "in the groove". Thanks to all the cachers who put this trail together, we are having a ball and have not missed a beat, so far. 3-Kings and I have come all the way from NSW to experience this trail and it was well worth it. TFTC
Stopped overnight near here on our way to Victoria, so decided to do some caching whilst here. Tftc
Found at the end/start of the trail. Shame I started in the middle. My travel planning skills have gone by the wayside. No TB in cache. TFTC
Heading north to QLD and doing the Wandering Heroes along the way and today I managed picked up a lot of interesting hides along the way and this was one of them.
Thanks for placing the series.

Set off really early to do the Geo Pet run and then get some of these Wandering heroes done from this end and any others along the way. Big long family day out TFTC
No TB in here making this number five TB missing that we should've found today we wanted to do a TB swap over today but with so many missing it did stop us for putting them out along here and the Geo pet run just in case.

After a few months of planning, and trial runs I finally attempted and complete my goal of doing a 24 hour SOLO cache run!!!
One Man, One Day, 441 caches found!
I booked two nights at Murray bridge and arrived at 8:00 pm. Attempted without success to sleep until 11:30 pm then got up and went to the location of the first cache. As the clock turned to midnight I began.
Speed through the Oz Mega 2014 Trail with only a handful of DNFs, then picked a few up along the highway until I got to the GeoPets trail.
After this I cut through to Wandering Heros and completed up to the "OTS: May" trail. Went along this and came back into Tailem Bend for lunch and fuel and few in town. Was beginning to get weary but proceeded back to where I left off in the Wandering Heros.
From here on in I just completed as many of these as I could up through Karoonda in the hot hot mid 30's day until midnight stuck a few kms east of town.
441 finds was the total count and now I just had to drive back to Murray Bridge. Easier said then done after being awake for practically 40 hours. Hit the hotel pillow at 1:20 am and was out within seconds.
Thanks for all the wonderful caches around this area, and sorry for generic logs.

Tftc! On the road today trying to get as many as I can on this trail and catches in the area of tailem bend. Weather is perfect today. Merry Xmas.
On a quick two to three day get away by myself. Heading over to Tailem Bend and Murray Bridge to pick up a few smiley face along the way collecting mostly Earthcaches, Letterbox Hybrids, Wherigos and 'Finds by hidden month' I need to fill - Plus any others that are nearby any of the rarer types I'm after in boosting my numbers a little.
Day 1: After leaving on Home on Sunday I was fortunate to have excellent weather on my side and a great run also traffic wise, which was great as it enabled me to get quite a lot of KM's done and caches done too while on my way to Tailem Bend for the night and get an early start on the trail in Murray Bridge.
Day 2: After spending the night in Tailem Bend I made an early start at first light to cram as many caches in today as I can. After completing the Geopets series in Tailem Bend I headed over to Murray Bridge to grab a coffee and then do and complete the OZmega series and a few in between before returning back to Tailem Bend for the night.
Was an epic day with 218 caches found and logged!
Day 3: Made this my last day in SA before calling it "time-out" and head back across the border to VIC.
Did a few more this morning including making a start on the Wandering Heroes series before 10:30 before calling it quits.
Thanks Muzza for the cache.
Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC & smiley face

First day of holidays so I thought I might knock a few more of this series on the head. TFTC
We had arrived in Tailem Bend last night, met up with Geodad as he has been working in Adelaide for almost 3 weeks. We surely do miss him. Our Geoboys had no football this w/end, we had nothing planned so this treck was in mind not being sure what the weather was going to be like we thought we would give it a start anyway. We had just had breakfast, a few cachers around Tailem Bend. Filled the car with fuel, said our goodbyes to Geodad & away we went on this incredible experience. Starting at approx 11am. Had a quick glance of the Honour Roll to see who & how many of these awesome geocachers we knew or had met on our travels during our Geocaching Experience. We haven't had the pleasure to meet Biggles Bear as of yet. Quick & easy find. TFTS
**Log Full.
We arrived in Tailem Bend about 7.30 a.m. to make a start on the Wandering Heroes trail in the hope of getting 100 per day for two days. Our first day was tiring with a fair bit of bush bashing to do to get caches.
We got caught in quite a few showers of rain and spent a long time on the road, but managed a comfortable tally for the day.
Thanks to all who placed and maintained caches here for this great 'adventure trail'. Excuse my generic logs, but with so many to do, individual logs are a bit past me tonight.
Thanks Muzza for your effort here.

Came back along this road after an over night stay at Tailem Bend, just wanted to complete this leg of the Wandering Heros series. Found the cache O.K. Thanks
Another find in this series on a very warm day, a bit of a challenge for cachers from Tassie. We enjoyed the hides although they were sometimes so close together that we barely got the cachemobile on the road before we had to pull over again. However didn't like the ants and they were everywhere today, not used to them! TFTC and the series.
Found during an epic Australia Day long weekend of caching road trip through Victoria and South Australia.

The Parrots are on holidays and on a quest to find 8000 caches before returning to duty.
Had a fantastic day folling heroes.
Only saw one cache that had eclipse tins in it.
over 100 finds and mints on my last cache of the day.
This must be some sort of record for me.
Loved driving beside the track as I didnt like some of those roadside stops with the trucks thundering past.
A great day out and in the afternoon we headed to Loxton Hotel for the night.
Fiona O'Loughlin is performing here tonight but unfortunately it is sold out.
Tomorrow back down the road to find some more.

A short walk off the roadside and it was a quick and easy find for us today. Stamped and returned as found.
We had planned a family geo trip a few weeks ago and I left it up to the geo wife to decide where she wanted to go. Murray Bridge was one of three places to visit. Lucky she decided on this area, so we could try for 200+ in a day. It was a very hot day & plenty of hours were spent in the car with much water needed. We found some great containers & loved the idea of this series. Now to rest the wheels....

So we’re now on day two. The bikes a firmly stowed as they required too much effort and resulted in too many tired bottoms and legs. Today is about conquering as many of this series as is possible and to have lots of fun. Still we had a few giggles upon discovering some of the hides and containers. Again all very inspirational. Thanks to you all for theses magnificent hides.

Our last day in SA so we thought we'd hit the Wandering Heroes or as much as we could in the short time left. Thanks to all those responsible for the trail. Thanks muzza.
The famous Wandering Heroes series caches were definitely something I wanted to do a few of when The Marble and I came down for the Oz Mega 2014.
Today being the second last day of our holiday, we arrived in Tailem Bend in the late afternoon and headed to pick up a few before the rain set in again or night fell. Blustery conditions made even getting in and out of the car difficult but we were determined!
We appreciate your efforts in hiding and maintaining so many caches, so TFTC, muzza. =^.^=

One of my challenges I set myself for my trip to the SA MEGA was to see how many caches I could find in 24 hours.
Today was the day. I parked the car the night before out at the furtherest point of the caches of the OZ MEGA 2014 and slept the night there with the alarm set for just before midnight.
My aim was to complete the OZ MEGA 2014 caches then start along the Wandering Heros series and see how far I got.
At midnight I started. With no one else on the roads I moved quickly along each of the roads looking for those little 'suspicious piles of stones'. By 6 am I had just the arrow head to go. I stopped the car and changed clothes as I was getting hot in the thermals. ... and the car would not start. 2 hours later the RAA turned up and said I had a flat battery. [?] [?] [?]
Found the remaining caches (except the couple that are now missing) and headed south for the Wandering Heros series finding the odd one along the road.[^]
The Wandering Hero series are different containers at different distances from the road so they were a little trickier to find at times and my find rate slowed down a little. Slowly the day continued and my count continued to grow, passing 200 and 300. Just after 7:30pm I passed 400 caches and I eventually stopped at 8pm exhausted just before Mindarie.
20 hours and just over 400 caches.
Apologies for the cut and paste logs.

Slowly the day continued and my count continued to grow, passing 200 and 300. Just after 7:30pm I passed 400 caches and I eventually stopped at 8pm exhausted just before Mindarie.
20 hours and just over 400 caches.
Apologies for the cut and paste logs.
Found with Tassiegirl13.
We'd attended the SA Oz Mega Event and this was our last day caching in the area.
With everything done around the event we headed up along the Wandering Hero's Power Trail to add a few more to our tally.

It was time for specimenX and myself to head back to Murray Bridge to do the Signal PT and some of the Wandering Hero's. It was a 2 hour drive there and we arrived and went straight into the Signal series. We were suprised at how they were scattered and doubted a few of our answers but it seems we had them all right and we found the whole lot. We then headed off for some lunch and collected a couple of Oz Mega 2014 caches that had gone astray on our last visit.
Murray Bridge was almost a ghost town compared to the Easter weekend. We were still looking for the Kookie magnets (habbit now lol) and we were kinda missing all the geomobiles with their flags flying high. Seems Murray Bridge was back to BAU and we were once again engaging stealth mode for our activities.
Once we had eaten, we decided to try our luck and do as many Wandering Hero's as our bodies would allow. specimenX was like a bull at a gate, just kept going and going and going. We evetually called it quits at a daily total of 204 finds (our highest yet) and started the 2 hour drive home at 1am in the morning. By the time we got home, we were well and truely exhausted, showered then crashed immediately.
In the Wandering Hero's, we managed to get from the Tailum Bend turnoff all the way to Karoonda Road/Kulde Road intersection. We then headed up Karoonda Road towards Bowhill Road (heading towards Murray Bridge) to collect The Lost Wanderers.
There are still SOOOOO many Wandering Hero's we need to collect so it looks like another SA trip will be in the planning
Thanks to all the CO's who have placed caches for us to collect and also bigh shout out to those who maintain these caches. Very enjoyable exhausting day.

Off we go again! This time Rapidlywild and I decided to tackle the Wandering Heroes caches after completing the Oz Mega Signal power trail-insane! [:O)]
Once again Rapidlywild was the driver and I was the runner [:O)] Most of the caches were nice, quick finds although several of them were a little bit elusive to us in the dark so RW joined in for the search
I enjoyed the variety of the hides along the way; several were quite creative! All up for the day we totalled 204 finds and ended with a 1am finish Absolutely geobuggered after that! lol!
Thanks to all the CO’s for placing their caches in this fantastic series!

One of the many caches we found afer attending our 1st OZ Mega with whitewebbs. Thanks to all who placed caches for our enjoyment.
What a week this has been at the Oz Mega Event in Murray Bridge SA. I have so many caches to log so it will have to be a cut and paste log because of the numbers but this does not mean that that I don't appreciate the effort that all the cache owners have put in to hide these caches because without the hiders we would not have the pleasure of finding the vast number of caches that have been placed in this area and also the owners of caches along the roads that we have to travel to arrive in M.B and return back to our homes.
I left Geelong on Wednesday 16th April 2014 and arrived home a week later with close to 500 caches found and now the mammoth task of logging all of these caches.
Thanks to all the cache owners who placed caches for everybody to find.
Early Monday 21st April I ventured out to this group with fellow cacher Happy Feet 1 (Robin and Josh) signing the logs as B & HF1 and finding all along the way until we decided to return to Murray Bridge with our aim today was to log at least 150.
This is not the order we found these but for ease of logging I will log in order.

Here in the area for the Oz Mega from Wodonga, spending the day with Bushfire. Our goal today was to grab 150 caches along the Wandering Heros Trail. It is wonderful to see these people who have been recognised along the way. We had a great day in the area making the finds. There was some great hides and our thanks to all the hiders for the effort in hiding and maintaining the various caches. Thanks.muzza.

Found this cache while attending Oz Mega. Had a great time and appreciated all the effort of the organisers and the owners of placed caches. Thank muzza
Thanks for your cache muzza, we found on our way to the OzMega Event in Murray Bridge to be held over Easter. Yoru cache helped to break up the long drive from Perth and give us an excuse to stop and stretch our legs.
Last day for us at Murray Bridge so we set out to get about 75 caches to bring our total up to 2000. The Wandering hHeroes were next on the list and this helped with the numbers. Most caches were easy finds a couple had us scratching our heads for a while..
Thanks to muzza for this cache
