This evening, the plan was to meet weredunn4 at Onkaparinga River National Park, and walk down to the gorge/Punchbowl. I had been there previously with jesswrigley back in March, but today at the start of winter, it had quite a different feel, with water / the river rushing through the gap. There were also many mobs of kangaroos leisurely feeding at dusk.
Prior to our hike, I had a little time spare, and so decided to find a few geocaches in Morphett Vale and Woodcroft on route. A nice sunny afternoon to be outside.
With some remaining time left around the area, I decided to walk this section of the Tom Roberts Horse Trail. There were no active caches along here, but some archived caches that I thought may still be here that weren't retrieved. As it turned out, I think they were all cleared following their archived status, which was good to see. So no cache here. Thanks anyway bregor.

Decided to get the first cache and it then turned into the next and than the next, and the next and the next etc. Longish walk in hilly terrain for these aging legs and heart. Worked out it is about 1Km and 50m assent from the last to the first. Does not sound much does it.
Will tackle the other one from the other end later.

A great Sunday for a walk, so we decided to head out and visit a part of Adelaide we haven't been to before. We made a small loop and collected a few geocaches on the way. Find five of 8 today. TNLNSL TFTC
**this is a late log** I have recently made a major upgrade to my GSAK license and found this lovely feature that automatically tells me what caches I have marked found in GSAK but never logged on geocaching.com!! Yay, Clyde, you can have my money anytime! The caches I am logging in this batch were ones I did in 2016. I cache with an assortment of cachers and never alone. In 2016 I cached with Moneydork, Ride the GeoWalrus, Locus Cacher, Liz & Bruce and Team Zouk. My log should match up with one of theirs. I enjoy every cache find I have made and do not for one second take for granted the effort going into each one, its just I'm very bad at logging my finds and I'm trying to improve. To improve I have to reduce the quality of my log and just get it over with -- for now. If I can form a good habit again I will return to my once more meaningful logging. Thanks heaps for hiding caches around South Australia that I could find!
Went on a loop of the Tom Roberts Horse Trail today, to find a few geocaches hidden by bregor. This was my second find on this trip. Found it pretty quickly, but got lucky to be honest, cos it is in a tricky spot. Nice hide bregor!

Are there a 100 of them?
After falling and failing at the last cache it was nice to walk straight up to this one.

Found while waiting for dog to have his haircut nearby. Hot day with plenty of flys. I've now completed this series of caches. thanks bregor for bringing me to this spot. TFTC.
After the pondering at the last cache, it was deemed that it would be easier to complete the trail, then walk back along the road on the return trip. So another cache was logged and the journey continued.
Out with the ratbags picking up caches along this horse trail, determined to find at least one per day for the duration of the school holidays. The ratbags (although teenage) love these caches full of treats. Swapped a car for a skater dude. TFTC!
Out for the day to finish off this little trail, nice walk from start to finish and wasn't even going to let a bit of rain stop me. Few big roos spotted along the trail.
All caches are in good condition. Thanks bregor for a nice stroll in an area I would never have known existed.

Well placed camo and I ran up and down the hill multiple times following a stupid GPS but in the end I was victorious.

With earthlight joining us for the day we head down south to grab a few caches, with the sun not far away from setting i get the geowife to go around the corner in the car and wait for us to return as we make our way through here, all caches were easily found and near the end there were lots of roos heading out. TFTC
TFTC this is a good hide it was a bit confussed to what the guard was but we did manage to find it. TFTC .
Doing swaps as we go around this track, swapped a donkey for a soldier. GPS is starting to play funny bugg..., about now so we are just looking in all the expected spots and there it was . Yah. Thanks yet again for the cache Bregor.
Karopi's Great Backlog Afternoon
Oh dear! I am a disgrace.
I knew I had a few caches to log from past excursions with Sylken but I didn't think I was quite this bad! (well I might have had a sneaking suspicion and a goodly dose of denial going on related to the "snowball effect" procrastination syndrome I suffer from) but now it's time to get with the program and fix the issue.
With the help of my calendar, "save for later" logs in my iPhone, Sylken's found caches page to remind me of joint caching excursions, and the freshly rediscovered lists of "found caches" supplied to me by geomum at the end of every excursion which were safely filed in my tax receipts folder, because where else should one store such lists really??? (Hence their recent re-discovery and now the embarrassed action plan to attempt to redeem myself!) I am now FINALLY back-logging!
Since some are event caches and have no doubt been archived I'm not even sure I'll be able to log them all sadly with carbon copies of this message, since to get on top of all these without the helping hand of Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V would send me right back to that snowball procrastination issue!
To the cache owners/event organisers - please forgive my tardiness, and if you want to discount/delete my log, I completely understand. It serves me right for not being better organised, and listening to my mum when she [s]nagged[/s]reminded me to log my caches before!
For all your hard work and effort in hiding caches/organising events I really am truly grateful - my OCD nature wouldn't let me log my caches out of order, so once the first big block of unlogged caches was combined with the second and the job got bigger and bigger.... well you get the drift!

As a special Mother's Day treat our two geodaughters (Karopi and Team J@M) took geohubby and I on a picnic lunch and geocaching foray in the southern area. We found twelve caches in total and had some lovely walks in the Onkaparinga River Nat. Park and on the Tom Roberts Horse Trail.
We were spoilt with a champagne picnic lunch in the warm sunshine and have 12 new smileys on the map.
We decided to do this trail as a leisurely way to spend some time in the afternoon after the more vigorous trails we did in the national park in the morning. As it turned out several of the log books were completely full. Between us and our geodaughters we managed to scrape up enough spare new log books or log sheets as required. By bending it slightly we were able to add a new log book to this larger container.
Many thanks for this most enjoyable trail of caches bregor, we thoroughly enjoyed it. [^]

An easy find. We really enjoyed this series of caches. What a beautiful part of South Australia. TFTC
Spent all of the Australia Day public holiday inside avoiding the heat, and decided late in the afternoon that I needed to get out for a while...so what better activity than to go and grab a few caches.
Even though it was still 37 degrees I had decided to walk the Tom Roberts horse trail and collect the caches along there...I needed the exercise and I was well prepared!!
Enjoyed walking this trail, up hill and down dale with a few stops along the way. Was watching vigilantly for snakes but didn't see anything on the ground, maybe it was even too hot for them...thankfully. Did see a koala climbing up a tree, but that was the only wildlife around today. Maybe all sensible animals were sheltering from the heat. [?] [?]

Out caching with CPWanderer and Sarni Girl. An enjoyable walk along this trail and a few kangaroos. TFTC Bregor.
Quick find while out wandering with Ismartis and Sarni Girl. Thanks bregor for the hide!!!
Found whilst on a walk in this lovely area. Very green with lots of wildflowers at the moment. Saw a fox nearby too. TFTC.
Found in the fading light after completing a hike in the Onkaparinga Gorge. Thanks for the cache bregor!
A beaut day for a walk and the solitude along this trail was rather pleasant.
Thanks for the cache, bregor
Thanks for the cache, bregor
This was the fifth cache we found here today. Fifth of ten for the morning, actually!
We walked right to the end of the trail, finding each cache along the trail as we walked. Got some great photos, had some decent exercise trudging through mud, water and over fallen trees. Beautiful, long, scenic walk which we will have to return and do again at some stage. TFTC bregor, another great hide for your 100th!

Decided to skip the cache just south after no luck and look on the return, this find got the morale back , nice hide too, TFTC
We made it (up THAT hill) ! So glad the terrain settled down quickly [^].

Our last find before heading back up the hill to the car. It would be great if there were courtesy horses here to get us back up to the road! The day had warmed up a little and the walked back worked up a bit of sweat.
Thanks bregor.
Thanks bregor.
Can't believe how manypaths are made by the animals. Was it this one we saw the lizards or the Kangaroos.
A nice walk on a lovely fathers day to find this cache. Thanks very much. Watch out for sticks.
Couldnt find this one on the way past but found on the way back...tftc....Good hiding spot.
Nice hide ! thoroughly enjoying the walk , only one other on the trail besides us walking their dog, Lots of Kangaroos around.
GeoKid had wandered off with the GPSr and I said to myself 'i reckon I'd put a cache there'. On closer investigation we were rewarded with another
Got a bit wet but enjoyed the walk along the trail with Menzepplin on our day off from Uni. Thanks for series!
The first cache on a leisurely walk punctuated by birds, kangaroos and me puffing up the odd hill. A top series of caches that I thoroughly enjoyed doing on a beautiful ANZAC Day. Thanks so much for taking the time to hide the caches.
We walked and jogged this loop in double time on Friday evening - we had places to be. Thankfully a local mob of roos showed us the route and all the caches were reasonably straight forward to find.

We did not do the Monty Python thing and 'throw him to the ground, Sir?' Quick find on this lovely morning. (note to self, watch Life of Brian again). Thanks for the hide, bregor.
Another quick find.
It's a very nice walk along this trail. Still think I should have driven.

This took way longer than it should have, given that by time I finished writing and replacing log the gpsr had me at 0 metres! I found it 10m from where it wanted me initially, go figure!
Nice hide.

A perfect evening for this sort of caching. Dropped at one end, picked up at the other, how good's that!
A great walk and a quick find. No centurion's see as in the video posted at the Trojan cache.
Thanks to bregor and clear skies from TeamAstro.
Thanks to bregor and clear skies from TeamAstro.
This actually took myself and Madbird ages to find! But when I spotted it it was pretty obvious where it was. TFTF!
As the cache suggested, battled on centurion-like down the trail. Around the bend and in the home stretch. TFTC bregor.
GPS had me looking on the wrong side of the track, but eventually found. Took GeoCoin, left dice.
Found with the family while enjoying this beautiful trail. Took marble, left geocoin.
