Had a quick (but clearly not thorough) look in the correct place, before slowly widening the search until I realised I was too far away. Due to the previous DNF, thought this might be a lost cause. Decided against that idea, and started again. Found straight away - cant believe I missed it first up. Thanks boxhill
Nice find while out exploring some of the walking trails. A new spot to discover. Tftc
On the way to an event, I met TwigNZ who said he was going for a cache 100 metres away. I looked it up and it was actually 141 metres away Not having a clue about the topography, I decided to go with him. Of course it was all uphill, with lots of stairs. Kudos to TwigNZ for patiently waiting for me on the walk. We didn't find the correct route to GZ, so took a kind-of path through some bushes, but got there after a bit of bush-bashing (well outside of my comfort zone, maybe I'm getting better at this kind of thing!).Thanks for the cache, boxhill.
I'm absolutely loving all the events that Wellington has been putting on over the last few months. Tonight would be no exception, with an event centred at the WWI war memorial.Having managed to leave work on time for a change, I had a good run in from the Hutt and arrived at the memorial with more than half an hour to spare before the start of the event, so I figured that the best way to spend that time was by grabbing a couple of nearby caches including this one.I was half way to it when I bumped into TrinityNZ who decided to tag along for the search, and I'm glad she did as I totally over-complicated my search at GZ whilst she spotted it easily. All was fine with the cache and contents, so I simply added our names and re-hid as found before heading back to the event.Cheers for placing it.
A fun side quest while waiting for the bus after going up to the wind turbine
We were out for a walk from the city to Polhill and digressed to this nice little park.TFTC
Found it, signed log, TFTC. A very pleasant sunny Matariki afternoon, perfect time to be out and about exploring a new suburb collecting yellow smiles.
On an explore around Brooklyn, found this just before I took a scooter down far too many steps and came quite close to a concussion. Great times, tftc!
Picked the worst outfit for this, had to walk through the mushy muddy grass in white shoes and pants.... worth it tho. thanks for the cache
Had just attended a M&G event in the Parliament grounds, now out to find a few geocaches that I wanted to find. Thanks boxhill for the cache.
Its been a little while since my previous geocache find and so, after a brief check of todays weather forecast, I decided today would be a great day to get outside and find some more caches. I spent a few minutes looking at the geocaching map and I soon decided where I wanted to walk. I had planned myself a route which involved following the Tip Track up Hawkins Hill to the radome, then down past the Brooklyn Wind Turbine and back home through Newtown. It was my intention to find as many geocaches as practically possible during my walk without getting home too late. After running some errands in the morning followed by an early lunch, it was time to get going. I packed my bag with all the necessary geocaching tools- pen, tweezers, GPS etc. and started walking.

TFTC! Found it... (but could understand why tessmac7 gave up). Squelched our way over the field and did a lot of fossicking around. (Think a bit of new growth wasn't helping). Log book is damp. We tidied up a bit, and cleaned out the inner container. Cute view of the windmill.
Dug around in undergrowth around but was unable to locate. Think growth may mean the hint is no longer applicable. Might come back another time for another attempt.
A pretty little spot around sundown. Cache is very wet and dirty inside. Otherwise a good quick find. TCTC
Took a short time to find this great little grass area. Cache is now protected by live plants but still in good condition. Thanks CO for the cache.
Continuing my wander thru Brooklyn from the memorial and heading out to the fenceline. Another green space that Wellies seems to do so well. Nice find and thank you for the hide.
Came here after the war memorial cache. As usual took the hard route! Log book is soggy but could still be written on. TFTC.
Semi-secluded spot but found easily enough. Unfortunately everything has got wet inside - and pencil is rotted but managed to get some lead out of it. Contents will need to be replaced.
Found with 10YO. We found the cache quicker than a car park Cool little spot and we traded a trinket to take home. Beware the dog poo TFTC
Stopped here with @peadub on a bike ride on a beautiful sunny Waitangi Day. Went down a driveway had to turn back and find the right entrance. Proved rather difficult and spent some time scrambling amongst the undergrowth. Cache not quite where I expected it to be but found eventually. Signed log and replaced. Interesting little hidden away park, seems to be a favourite with dog owners. TFTC.
Visiting just down the street so thought i'd pick this one up on the way home. I was pleasantly surprised at the Wellington outlook it had. The hint made for an easy find. Everything in order. TFTC.
I was almost back at the car having done a loop in the Polhill Reserve and walked past this park on the way back. I came in the "wrong" entrance (there are two proper entrances and I found a third!) only to find a muggle playing fetch with her dog. No chance of stealth here as the dog in question came bounding over to say hello - ignoring the owners commands to do otherwise. So after deliberating for a few moments I went up to Brooklyn Battery instead, collected my car which was between the two caches and brought it down closer to this cache before heading home. But although the first muggle was gone, a new one had replaced her who also had a dog. About to admit defeat the muggle suddenly left while I was on the nearby path. Finally with the park to myself I zeroed in on the coords and found the cache in a slightly out-of-the-way location that was difficult to get to but nevertheless a quick find. First to sign the new log which is in pristine condition. A bit of a frustrating experience here so glad to find it without having to return another day. TFTC.
Maintenance completed this morning.
New logbook placed in plastic bag inside new inner container.

A nice quick find on a beautiful Wellington winter's day. Log book was saturated beyond use, so added a scrap of paper. TFTC
Found cache for the second time. Lovely birdsong! Logbook is very wet though, and will need to be replaced.
After I knocked off work today I decided to see if I could find this cache in order to keep my current daily geo streak alive. So in between rain showers I made my way to GZ on foot. Once there I made a nice quick find. The log book was really wet... and there was also a trackable log book in the cache as well that I signed as it was a lot drier. I also emptied some water out of the cache. Anyway the log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in it's spot all ready for the next hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so.
This is geo streak day #1090 in a row for me today. TFTC

Easy find here today and managed to make the grab without being seen by the two others enjoying the park. TFTC.
Relatively easy find. Logbook saturated and almost impossible to write on. Left a trackable. Cache needs some maintenance.
My Wednesday morning cache. I came out here before work for a look around. Then I drove down to the South Coast. Being by the ocean first thing in the morning as the sun is coming up is a nice place to be. It definitely got me in the right mood to start a busy day at work.
The cache is exactly where the hint said it would be and the coordinates were pretty good too! I soon found it and had the formalities all done. Then it was back to the car, quickly down to Owhiro Bay and off to work so as to be there before 8am.
The cache is in good in condition. All nice and dry.
Thank you

Was helping friends shift house up past the wind turbine today. I wanted to grab the cache at the turbine on the way home, but there were too many muggles at the GZ. Decided to grab this one instead, and pleased to read the description that it was the original cache!
Quick find.

Found this after walking up from the brooklyn pie shop via kowhai Park cache! Coords are spot on, but I went way too far and saw it from below... But glad I found it up to the windmill I think!
No problem finding this one thanks to good co-ords. The Brooklyn Wind Turbine on Wrights Hill was really turning quickly - it's pretty windy today. Thanks for placing a cache here.
Easily found after a quick look at the hint. I forgot my pen so have attached a photo of the Ftfs on first page to show I was here. Tftc
My guide had suggested a visit to Te Papa for me and my fellow travelers for the afternoon. But I wanted to explore Wellington in a different way - on a geocaching tour. It was a good choice to move me to Brooklyn and Aro Village. Because without the caches that served as my guide, I would not have come by in time for an open air performance of a "Star Trek" episode.
Thanks for the cache in the very small park.

Lovely sunny day to come up to this site. Never knew if existed! Took nothing but left a tiny car. Thanks for the cache.
#322. Nice easy p&g on a lovely sunny Wellington morning. Co-ords absolutely spot on, as was the hint. Left a large yellow smiley-face bouncy ball, seeing the cache is big enough. Tftc boxhill.
Found it in Windy Welly mayday. Been to Brooklyn area but never been to this site. Thank you for the good start of May. TFTC
Cold windy day, can certainly experience the southerly. Cache well concealed but easily found using GPS. TFTC
Couldn't get near this one with instrument but hint did the trick Nice views as always up this area TFTC
Couldn't find this one. Spotted a couple of likely looking spots - not too far into the Brooklyn beer bottle and dog poo repository. But alas no cache.
Spent some time on and around GZ but didn't find this 1 litre container, my caching pride will be dented if it is reported found now.
No sign of the wind turbine today - maybe somebody snuck away with it in the night?
Found cache in great condition. I hoped I wouldn't have to climb down to the bags of dog poop and other rubbish - fortunately I didn't.
Thanks for another smilie. All good at GZ.

A few raindrops around this evening, but not enough to stop us visiting the area Quick find and great views up here. Thanks!
