Logs
On our way to the airport now, but just one more cache......Day 4 (and last day), in Dunedin for Geo Toroa (Mega) with a team of cachers from South, East Auckland (SEAC), NZTravellers, KeyLev, HeMaLuDy, UncleSamNZ, and myself. This is our usual annual caching trip where we usually travel to a Mega (in NZ thus far) and/or cache the area, or select an area most of us haven't been caching before, to gain maximum numbers for all. Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining caches in some stunning locations that we may not have visited had it not been for geocaching.Signed in as SEAC to save logbook space unless specifically required to sign individually.TFTC.
Team SEAC consisting of HeMaLuDy, Stik-a-crane, UncleSam, Keylev and ourselves headed to Dunedin for the 2024 MEGA!All logs were signed as SEAC to save paper (except where specific signing requirements were requested)Fourth and final day of our Mega weekend. The weather was sunny but still chilly today! Thanks to all the CO's who had maintained the caches as we found a majority with fresh paper and containers!Another and on the way to airportTFTC
Today was day 4 of our visit to Dunedin for the Mega event. Today we just stuck around the Dunedin area picking up caches and ad lab points as we encountered them, including previously solved puzzles. We have signed most logs with SEAC as there are 5 caching names between our group of seven; Keylev, UncleSam, NZTravellers, Stik-a-crane and us. Lots of fun had and memories made with great friends. All a bit tired now and ready for home. Just a few more caches first.
Day 4 (last) of our mega trip and today was planned to be a bit more focussed on some specific caches or places some of the crew wanted to visit. Thanks for the cache. Signed SEAC (South East Auckland Crew)
All good here. Out with gdkja for a few caches before heading home after Mega. Tftc
Here for the 2024 Mega with friends from Auckland. Most logs signed as SEAC. Thanks for supporting our addiction
As we drove back into town after the airplane series, se stopped for a few caches along the way. This one became easier once we realized how the area fit the cache name. TFTC.
Found with the very very last hints of daylight, now to reward myself with dinner!
First PnG of the day, driving up central. Still a little frosty and very quiet here. Tftc!
Good to be able to replace a sad blue face with a happy, sunny-yellow one. TFTC and to LVL for the replacement log.
Logged another replacement in the fork. Popped in more camo to keep the pillcan hidden from muggles. Will take a look at the new track by the cliff another day. TFTC Mate
Unsure if is still here. Scailed the whole area in the different patches so possibly been taken?
Out on our adventure in the area. Nice spot to stop for cuppa. Thanks for the cache drawp.
Back here today on the way home, and now that we know it has been replaced. This time was a quick find. Amazed that this little area is here, so quiet and nothing but the birds to listen to.Thanks drawp.
Cache 1148 was in the area for a multi had to drive past this cache so stopped for the quick PNG, then enjoyed the fresh air at the park for 5 mins. cache is in good shape T4TC
A nice quick find after going straight to where we thought it would be after our last search. Thanks to CO for replacing, TFTC
A good hunt was had, but after many pricks from some not so friendly vines we had to give this one a miss. Will have to try again in the future with some better arm protection.
Had a good poke around in the area but no cache came to hand. It was wet and sleeting, so perhaps would have stayed longer if it was warmer, but two of us gave it a good nudge. Cute little spot though, I'm bringing the mokos here one day when it's warmer!
Puddle alley isn't somewhere we spent a lot of time traveling around in a previous life and while the stream needed crossing to get from one end of Three Mile Hill to Mosgiel or Outram, we usually stuck with the main roads. Pulled into the picnic area using the narrow driveway, luckily the road wasn't busy as we almost missed the gateway. Someone was parked up at the picnic area but no one around at the stream. Walked over to the hint and scratched around for a small cache; brown taped pillcan soon in hand. A dry bagged logbook was nearly full and found some room at the start of the book to SL since peeps skipped a few pages or use a whole space for themselves. Removed the swag and added some spare pages. Thanks for this cache Drawp, all is good and dry here. Have a courtesy of my luvly sponsor for bringing me here.
I think the cabbages have grown a bit. Lovely place to spend the night. Just early morning traffic a nuisance. Plan to do the river trail today. Nice easy flat walk.
By pretending this cache to be a type of Mikado it was able to be retrieved. THank you for the hide.
I've been here before, again for caching - I think I was hunting this very cache, to be honest. Not sure why I didn't log a DNF back then, but either way I can convert it into a "Found" now. A straightforward find, so I have even less of an idea why I missed it last time. Glad it's under my belt now. Cheers!
Day-9 Cromwell - Palmerston

Lovely spot! Quiet here today except for one muggle who pulled up nearby and didn’t look interested at all with what we were doing. TFTC!
A lovely spot and a quick find with Frame Family. Grapea and Winston along for the ride. Tftc
Trying to get up my numbers to hit my 2000 new year target. So out and about tonight to find caches.
As I headed straight from the office I was not fully prepared/geared to fight the blackberry vines which are taking over the GZ. I managed to get the container and get the log signed..... but not without some damage inflicted on me.
