Tftc. Climb was not as difficult as I was expecting. Great views on a lovely autumn day. Perfect for hiking.
Found after an amazing climb with the smallergeezer kids. Very hot day, but views were amazing.Kids thrilled to have a cache at the top to search for. Tftf
Great walk and excellent views. Made a quick find. Coords were very good.SL TFTC
Tftc cache was Roughly 6 meters north of way point. But found it thank goodness , left a pen we found on the ground on our way up, in case you climb without one too
We lived it up in luxury last night at the lodge, ate as much as our eyes told us we could and enjoyed some local wines. Because of this, only one of us made the jog this morning for a stellar sunrise albeit shortly swept away by a morning battering of wind and rain. Reached the top in a very 'atmospheric' white out, couldn't even get close to the edge! Briefly hunted for the cache and found it under some much smaller rocks than the hint suggested. TFTC!!!!!
Absolutely incredible. Words cannot describe how amazing this place is. Left Port Augusta in the morning and drove up to Wilpena Pound to start the long walk up. Absolutely breathtaking the whole way up in both senses of the word. Actually took a long time to find this as there were so many rocks to look under. I don't think it was in the most obvious spot either which made it trickier. Ended up finding it about 6m south of where the GPS said and further south than where I was looking in the deeper rock caves. Amazing. TFTC
My terrain rating has certainly increased since coming on this trip. Stunning views up here, I think I liked it better than the Saddle as you can see into the whole Pound. Thanks to the owner for placing it in this spectacular location, favourite from me.
29 June 2022 10:42. Thanks pkhearn for the cache. Found with Hearse068 and camping with camping buddies. Great spot.
29 June 2022 10:43 am Found with the Hardacres on our School holidays trip to the FlindersRanges. Thanks pkhearn for the cache.
We are catching up with updating all our old draft logs of which sadly there are some hundreds. This is one we found during one of our many driving trips around Australia. It is usually looking for caches when we are driving somewhere that Janet comes into her own. She is much better than me at finding a cache at GZ and she hates a DNF so will not give up. We certainly enjoy our road trips and the ability to break them up by stopping to look for the odd cache is as much a health and safety issue to help us manage fatigue as it is a bit of fun. This climb however was not so much fun! Janet has still not forgiven me for the repeated "it's just over the next ridge" comments. The view however was spectacular. Interestingly I think the first time I climbed up here as a teenager it was called Mt John?!TFTC pkhearn??
Excellent walk and Wilpena Cloud was in full glory!
Sandyofthesea and I took off from Perth at the start of April to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. How good is this country!!
pkhearn, I found Mount Ohlssen Bagge today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Camping for a couple of nights at Wilpena Pound after nearly 20 years since our last visit.
This morning we enjoyed our walk into the Homestead reminiscing, this time there are caches to be found as well!
Now to climb Mount Ohlssen Bagge, my wife started out with me but as it got steep she knew she would struggle coming back down so sensibly she returned by herself.
Once I got to the top I took some photos for her and admire the views.
Cache was found in good condition

6 m out but hey those rocks there just don’t look ‘au naturale’ so must be GZ. Bingo bango! Loved the hike up here and in awe of this ancient landscape. Day 10 in SA after numerous trips were sabotaged due to you know what and its a fab day. The Yorke Peninsula and it’s caches was high on the list along with several other random caches so hoping to tick all boxes before heading back to home base. I’ve learnt theRE are plenty of quality SA caches - plenty to pique the curiosity and anticipation of another surprise or fun cache. TFTC AND THE FUN and the effort to contribute to this fave game
I'd been planning to climb Mt OB for over 5 years, but something always seemed to get in the way such as transport or weather. Today I was determined to get to the top, especially since this was the only day forecast this week when the sky was clear. As our Heysen walk was in rest mode, I drove up from Quorn through early morning fog to arrive around 10am to start the climb. Tough going in some sections but it's well marked and in good condition. Took about 1h to get to the top.
GZ was occupied by around 8 other people, so trying to be stealthy was next to impossible. I enlisted their help instead, but in the end I located the hide about 7m from where I started.
A great hide. Thanks, pkhearn.

Wonderful hike. Came here for a short visit for two nights. Tommorow we head off to adelaide.
Today our major plan was to hike to the top of Mount Ohlssen Bagge. It was a glorious morning and we both really enjoyed the walk. Not many others out and about on the trek today.
Súper views from the top and even better a nice sized cache which took a few minutes to locate. Ate an apple and had a rest and then carted my carcass back down to the Pound, wish I was more nimble.

I woke up this morning in me favouritest place in OZ
Hard to stay in bed, even if it is freezing outside !!
So a sparrow fart I was off up the very familiar trail to the top of MOB.
Hmmm !!
About half way up the mountain,
I was in unfamiliar territory !! [:o]
Somebody has rerouted the walking trail since me last visit !!
The trail used to be a relentless, steep slog to the top of the ridge,
followed by an ankle jarring wander over the rocks to the top !!
Now it is a much more pleasant amble that follows a gentler gradient to the top,
and avoids much of the ankle twisting
Arriving at the top,
I enjoyed the speccy views for a mo'.
No time to enjoy the view yet !! [:o]
I'm the only one up here !!
Time to find the cache before the 'sleep ins' arrive
Cache found,
I signed the log,
and popped in the "Community Volunteer Tag- Wash Your Car".
TFTC ... fave dance time !!

What a great walk today, perfect weather, fantastic views and lunch at the top. The track was quite busy with walkers, and had to quickly find the cache in its hidey hole. TFTC.
I love that somebody is going to the effort of putting a cache up on top of this great big hill. Nothing better than doing a good hike and finding a cache at the top. Thanks for the hide!
Found with the family after a thoroughly enjoyable climb. An easy find and fantastic views. TFTC
Spent a good 20 minutes looking in the wrong spots. Should have trusted the GPS from the start! A little hint it to look for some rocks that don't really look like they belong. Awesome cache and some great trinkets inside. Tftc!
Today we spent a full day in the Wilpena Pound area. A nice compromise between the expected temperature and hiking was the tour to Mount Ohlssen Bagge. We started in the morning, which was perfect Magnificent views from the top of the ridge into the Pound - great! We enjoyed the tour very much and of course, signed the logbook up there - Thanks for the box at this nice place! +1FP
Mr CF was joined by the oldest CF junior to head up the hill. We enjoyed the great views all along the track. At GZ we stopped to enjoy the outlook and to wait for a couple to move on. Then a quick find was made. TFTC.
Took a bit of searching to locate this one. There are a lot of rocks around. Eventually spotted a likely spot and voila!! A great climb up here and stunning views.
Last day in the fabulous Flinders Ranges, up here for a super view. To top it all, this nifty cache. Can't beat this for a view.
Surprising how such a rugged spot has so many plants in bloom. A few rain showers and out they come. Beautiful.

Now this is a great cache! Started the climb from Wilpena and hiked for around 2 hours when we found the cache.

10.4.19. Enjoyed the climb, a few rock scrambles in places, and view over Pound on one side and camp grounds on the other was spectacular. Found cache, a few metres away from GZ. Look for typical geocache hide signs such as pile of loose rocks.
Found on a hotter day in the Flinders rangers, Walking to the top of this was hot but amasing wievs....great place this is my 2nd day here, whish it not was to hot for st marrys...
Our second full day in the Flinders Ranges, and after leaving the geocaching group, jesswrigley and I had planned for some hiking around Wilpena Pound. The temperatures had cooled slightly from some overnight brief rain, and the wind provided a nice breeze to the day.
We thought about doing Marys Peak today, but arriving late morning, we thought we would go for another less challenging hike. Consequently Mount Ohlssen Bagge was selected as our target hike today, and it was an enjoyable mix of various animals seen around the base of the mountain (including a cute echidna), to the side mountain trails up. The cache was located after a brief search, and all in good shape. We enjoyed the views up here, and was very windy towards one side. Then it was a matter of hiking back down. A great hike indeed, thanks.

Was an amazing walk up to Mt. Ohlssen, the rockscrambling was fun and we spotted an Echidna beside the path.
At GZ we made a little break and enjoyed the stunning views around. And, of course, found the box [^]
Thanks for hiding, redgecco

What a climb - but now I can visualize the whole Pound, having seen it from up here. A pleasant change to find a large cache for a change, so I left a pack of cards. Thanks pkhearn for lugging that cache up here!
Found after wandering in circles for a while as GPS shifted around....it was near where I thought it should be when I started chasing the GPS signal...duh.
Great view from the top, serious climb to get there but definitely worth it.
Dropped off a koala travel bug.

Fantastic walk with lots of rock scrambling adventures for the kids. I was a bit worried by the many options of the hint but no trouble in the end. TFTC.
Tenth cache on our little Flinders Ranges sub journey. Early morning walk up to the top.
Halfway up we realised we left the second most important geocaching tool in the car: our pen. For a cache be not found until it be signed! Fortunately, this cache had a writing implement.
Happy to 'bagge' this peak, especially as it was BubsMagee's first. TFTC.

First in Flinders Ranges ! Tomorrow we continue the hiking with St Mary's peak... TFTC!
Ah you mean THAT rock. Compass swinging a bit but saw a glimpse of cylinder ftom the other direction. Only the jan of jangaz doing the walk so was pleased to find it on this lovely walk with fantastic views. After all the rain the cache is nice and dry. I didn't expect there to be a cache up here so was pleasantly surprised. It added to the fun. Tftc. Left a smiley face. Now for the trip down. At my age and stage there could be a bit of bum sliding!
Hiked the Mount late this afternoon and arrived at summit just in time for a brilliant sunset. Stunning views. Breathtaking!! A magical place to spend some time. Located the cache and then made our way back down the mountain as darkness was settling in. Thanks for the cache.
A nice walk up the Mount this morning. When we got to the top the views were minimal due to the cloud! Cache is safe and dry. TFTC.
After visiting and exploring Arkaroola over Easter, we had a few extra days to enjoy the Flinders Ranges NP, before finally heading home. The Flinders is a magical place Red had not been here before... and luckily for him, he had a good tour guide For ronso... the Flinders feels like a second home! Though it has now been some years since she was here last... working at the Wilpena Pound Resort That was before knowing about geocaching, and even before this cache was placed!! Mount Ohlssen Bagge was a place ronso would visit often, to enjoy this views over the Pound... oh, and to keep fit, lol With the number of muggles visiting Mount Ohlssen Bagge today, we were very surprised that no one had logged a find on this cache since October last year! We sat and enjoyed our packed lunch, then waited a while for some muggles to move before we could start our search. Wandering around in circles for a little while, pretending to look at lizards, the cache was soon located and the logbook signed TFTC pkhearn!! A favourite for the location!!
We weren't here to cache but thought; "might as well check". Low and behold, we were standing a few metres from it. Great spot for a cache although I wouldn't like to be the person maintaining it! Tnln. TFTC.
We have been to Wilpena Pound a few times and still loving to come here every winter. This year geocaching added another layer of fun! My 9yo son was so thrilled to see a real cache the first time. Kudo to his buddy hiking friend who actually found it. I think this has motivated him for more hiking in the next couple of days.
Day 14 of the 2015 Mawson Trail ride - a short riding day to give us a chance to visit some points near the Wilpena Pound Resort or just chill out. I decided early on to do this walk as I'd never been up here before.
A very interesting walk through a variety of rock and vegetation types, also plenty of scenery along the way. Great views from the top.
It took a while to zero in on the cache.
Thanks for the cache pkhearn.

A great reward after a lovely hike. And a pencil with a sharpener. The crafty locals (the black feathered ones) got into our bags while we were hunting. TFTC.
Today we decided to do some walks in Wilpena Pound. We chose the Mount Ohlsen walk first which was a nice walk but for us not too hard. In this nice weather we enjoyed the time at the summit and the 360° view. Thanks for the cache.

Today we first walked to Mt Ohlssen-Bagge. Afterwards we walked into the pound. This was a very beautiful view point and also a bit windy. We found the cache around 9am, just before the rain.
It was a great morning here!

Geat climb up and magnificent views!!! We had the summit for ourselves when we arrived, so we decided to hunt for the cache first and then enjoy the views. It took a while to find it, very well hidden. As soon as we had signed the log and were about to put the cache back in its hiding place some muggles popped up. As they did pay more attention to the views than to us we could quickly put it back. Just in time as more hikers reached and spread out over the area.
We stayed for quite a while at the summit enjoying it all. It was sunny and very clear, we could see Lake Torrens shining bright white in the distance. Thanks for putting a cache here!!!

Found it eventually. A nice steep walk up and down. The clue didn't help much but perseverance paid off. TFTC
Took us only 1hr to get up, but spent almost one more on the summit to enjoy the views.
Luckily we had reception up here, else we would've missed that one.
