Cable tied a new container in place out of sand With a few days off I headed over to the northern Eyre peninsula for a 2 night stay in Whyalla, my main aim for the few days was the FITG and the FTF trail plus finding a few caches here and there along the way. Just under 300 caches found for the trip. Thanks for the cache
A fun drive in the sand. Just what Hellyonfire likes.A weekend in Whyalla with Hellyonfire enjoying the weather and the caching. TFTC
Meeting my geosister H423L in Whyalla to do some caching Nice sandy 4x4 trip. Love sand driving TFTC
Travelling with iluvtrekking up the WA coast to Darwin, down the Centre and in the Flinders. After spending some time in Peterbough and Minlaton we moved to Moonta to grab finds in Moonta and surrounds. We didn’t feel like paying the ferryman $450 each to bring our caravans over from Wallaroo so opted to drive to Whyalla. While Mrs ILT and I drove to Lucky Bay to pick up a final, our Geo-men knocked off some of the 4wd caches in Whyalla. A beautiful winters day to be out enjoying this part of the world. Thanks for the hide
Travelling with richlink from Perth to Darwin up along the west coast and home again through the centre and the Nullarbor. We are on the home stretch now, and after a few days on the Yorke, we are at Whyalla before pick-up a few caches. The boys took on the 4WD tracks of Whyalla while the girls headed off to Lucky Bay. We stopped here to claim our smile. TFTC.
Love this spot, we come kayaking here and have bbqs. A lot of locals don’t even know this magical spot is here!
Found It!
We drove to within 600m and then walked the rest of the way. Then searched in the wrong bush for a while before looking elsewhere and finding the cache!

Ended up walking a lot of the way to this cache as we couldn’t get all the way along the beach due to tide and gutters!! Was a nice walk. TFTC
Found while visiting Whyalla for a few days with Team Waldron and TeamAstro, with the aim of finding as many caches as possible in Whyalla and surrounds. Day 1 saw us travel up from Adelaide and tour the very scenic coastline around Port Bonython and Point Lowly. On Day 2 we headed out to the Fill In The Gaps (FITG) series, then to Iron Knob and back via the First To Find Power Trail (FTF PT) series. On Day 3 we cached in and around the City of Whyalla, and on Day 4 we made our way out to Whyalla Conservation Park before heading for home. Thanks for the cache on-cache-patrol!
Away for a few days with Featherwaite and Team Astro.
The plan was to get all the whyalla caches as well as the FTF series and the FITG caches.
Nearly got them all, just a few left for next time.
We parked and had about a 600 metre walk to this one.

Continuing our celebrations of birthday week for the cats, Purrfect Di and Mattycat decided to go do some more birthday caching and see what we can unwrap in the way of iron triangle log books. Yours was one we found along the way, with the help of Jack. Quite a fun packed day finding all sorts.
Went touring some dodgy tracks to a very wet beach, not the best tide today. Hopped out and went for a stroll, and soon found us at the gz. Recent replacement by firesafe was easily found and in good condition.
Sincere thanks to on-cache-patrol for placing and maintaining this cache on our geo game map
[:o)]
I must note that we certainly do appreciate the way those mint tins age to blend in with the rusty outback earth!!! Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, plastic cracks and mint tins rust!
---
Searching around every day finding and signing using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck Quite a lot of that actually!!!
*Logs are composed and published using GSAK of course.*
---
Please do stay as safe as possible when caching.
Keep a lookout for bogs, snakes, surprise cliffs, boxing roos, wombats, bulldust, and floods,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs from alpha to omega !!! . [xx(]
Try to keep Travel Bugs as the only bugs you share and pass on
Now our borders are open - even more important to sanitise and safely distance!!!
Much appreciation of all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

A great caching start to Twenty Twenty Too

Put a replacement cache and log under some natural camo

We had a good look for this one in and around the coord points. Unfortunately we weren't successful in finding it. We had a great time paddling up the mangroves in our dinghy though.
Found with Steve010 who had previously found the cache. Definately a 4WD along the beach. TFTC
Found after our adventure to get Yak-Yak2. Cache in good condition. Sorry for the late log. TFTC
It's a great walk around from the carpark to this cache...not that I'd know for sure since I always ride the Yamaha... but the thought was there.
The creek is crystal clear and very inviting, the cache is in good condition and still where it was placed, all good here.

Geo dogs are proving very lucky with the third for today. clever hide. Took the monkey and left two gifts for the next lady to find.tftc
Took oppurtunity today with a low low tide to make this a driveby, collect the TB and help it on it's way.
Thanx to MoneyDork i have maneged to get the smile on this one. A great little area.
A lovely stroll on the beach. The frog went ahead at one stage while I took photos and stuff. Beautiful spot.
Thanks to on-cache-patrol and clear skies from TeamAstro.

Amazing creek. It was low tide and there was plenty of water in the creek. Must be a lonely location at night.
8:13am FTF It's been a long time since I've been out here, there are new tracks through the sand hills that I've never seen before and even the creek is different. It's still only a 20 min walk from the car park along a nice stretch of coast though. Thanks for another great cache.
2nd for me. I took the driving option but others please give consideration to weather conditions and tides. Took some finding as GPS was wandering a heap. Took TB. TFTC
Bronze for us, I thought it would be nice for a stroll down the beach. I was right and a quick find for me and the geodaughter (which I can't believe as it could have been anywhere). Now she is happy playing on the edge of the creek building a cave for her new cat. Took a cat left an ezyrig. TFTC.
