I came to the Bluff from a different direction, and only needed to negotiate that track to go down! Thankfully so, as it had rained overnight!A quick find once at the correct level.TNLNSL Thanks
Out for a short Sunday drive. The bluff is higher than you think when driving past on the highway! Awesome views from the top. Drove right to GZ, 4WD definitely needed.Actually looked right at the cache and marked it down as rubbish as someone had dumped a lot there after a bbq! Searched up higher before coming back to it for a better look and realising I had in fact already spotted it!Even had a jogger come past me!!! He was up there with his dog and recommended I drive back the way I came from the top side. The lower tracks up are apparently quite rutted and I wasn't keen to challenge them that day.TFTC!
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in Millicent for a few days to grab some finds placed for the ill fated Mega 2020. We parked the cars on the higher road and walked the lower road to make the find. Thanks for the hide. LNCU
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are staying at Millicent for the week, finding some of the caches we should have found if we had not been prevented from attending the 2020 Mega by Covid19. Thanks for the cache. LNCU
Talk about bluffed. Drove right up to the top. Brilliant views. But be careful. 4x4 and dont slip or roll. That would be the end of hairy! Thanks GoShaz and clear skies from TeamAstro. Oh my. Did we choose the hard way. Straight up the mountain from the road ??. Happylife72 and I are drenched from head to toe. It's currently still raining as I write this back in the car at the base of the mountain. Was this the best choice on a day like this? Absolutely not. Did we do it fall over slip on our butts? 100% did we laugh the entire time about not reading the attributes or the description? You better believe it.
Great cache. Great team. Wouldn't have done it any other way.. but we're a bit crazy ??

On a Christmas Holiday with sir_spectre, visiting family in Mount Gambier and then on to Victoria to visit some new places as well as some old haunts.

We drove the 4x4 to gz. We looked and then widen the search. Found it 7 meters from gz. Found the container broken but logbook was fine. replaced container.
Left with Mogni the day before Christmas to go down to Mount Gambier for Christmas Day. Then on the 27th left for Victoria. Plan A was to go to the Ottway Rangers, complete the Geo tour in Ballarat and then head to Geelong and take the Queenscliff ferry over to Sorrento then grabbing new LGA's on route to almost the New South Wales/Victoria border and the old 2001 cache near there. Also attending a community day event, a CITO and a couple of other events as well. Then head in to the high country and come back to SA in 11 days. Things didn't go to plan. Turns out that one of my almost new tyres was defective ( side wall blown out ) and blew in the ottway ranges on a narrow road in the rainforest, Drove to Melton to stay overnight and get a new tyre there, tyre machine broken and the other 5 tyre companies not open so off to geelong for a new tyre ( and some caches on the way and in geelong ) . The event we where going to attend in geelong didn't turn out, he was late by ALOT to his own event. Then to ballarat to same day since we had a b&b booked for the next few nights. Planned on getting the ferry at 1200 and ended up on the 400 pm ferry but we did attend a event and CITO in geelong. Then we drive into the rear end of a thunder storm with forecast 20 mm dropping for the next few days. Cancel the high country and change targets to letterbox D/T for fizzy grid only using letterboxes and same wirh the multi fizzy grid plus fizzy grid only using victorian caches plus any challenge caches we where near. Plus getting a few more victorian 2001 caches. And finally any caches that had 40 more more favourite points. Only got soaked to the bone for a couple of days but the water on the tracks was noticeable. On the return home tried to get the rest of the missing LGA's around the Melbourne CBD i missed in the last mega. Still a fun trip was had if not the planned one.

It was the perfect day to look for this cache as the view was stunning. Cache found with no problems although the lid was cracked so we put if back upside down hoping it won't get too much more water in it. Thanks for bringing us here with this cache.
What a lovely place to bring us to with the placement of this cache. The views were stunning and really clear. Thank you.
Great spot! There is a big crack in the lid though so we’ve placed it upside down
Found on 6/6/22. SL at 12:50pm. Daytrip out by myself again. Time to tackle these two caches before the tracks in become too boggy. Well they already were in some places. Decided to park near the fenceline to be safe and walk. What lovely views from up here, even in the rain and so peaceful except for the ewes and lambs who didn't like my presence close to them, hehe. This cache certainly didn't have me bluffed today.
*Cache lid is indeed cracked but log and contents are all good and dry. I have provided a ziplock bag for the entire cache contents to keep it extra safe. Watch out for .

After four days in the southeast and Coorong earlier in the week, I returned with FeatherWaite for an extended weekend of caching in the area.
We traveled down the Coorong through Kingston and across to Millicent, then cached around Millicent and attended the events. On the second day we toured around Tantanoola before making our way up to Naracoorte for the evening.
We camped out near Millicent on the first night and at Cockatoo Lake, north of Narracoorte on the second.
On the final day we headed up to Mundulla, Bordertown and Keith, then through Ngarkat to Lameroo before heading for home.
This was a return visit after a DNF a couple of years ago with gridge98. Nice to convert to a smiley!
Thanks GoShaz for the cache.

Found during a camping trip to the Southeast with e.gregory. I came here in 2018 but came away with a DNF, back up the steep hill today and after a short search the cache was found
Last day in the South East for this trip, so did a few caches around the area as I was making my way back home.
Thanks for the cache

This weekend, I headed to the limestone coast / south-east for cave diving. On Friday night, I drove via the Coorong rode via Kingston, Beachport, and Millicent to Glencoe. Saturday was spent cave diving near Tantanoola and Engelbrecht Cave in Mount Gambier, and then Sunday after a cave dive, I returned to Adelaide via Mount Gambier, and the wine bottle/glass geoart in Kalangadoo. I was expecting a nice weekend of sunny weather, but instead, there was wind and rain for the most part.
Today, I travelled from Mount Gambier to Adelaide, and made a few geocaching stops along the way. By mid afternoon, I had arrived at Kalangadoo, and mentally prepared myself in completing the wine bottle/glass geoart. I had prepared myself for that duration, but was still hoping that it wouldn't take as long as it did. It was then on to driving home via Naracoorte and Keith.
Between this cache and *Rid-Up* geocache nearby, I was always intrigued at their terrain ratings and had wanted to make the drive up here to find. However, I was dismayed at the various DNFs, and didn't want to waste my effort. So as it turned out, these caches had been here the whole time, and there had been a few newbs visiting to look.
Given Laighside Legends didn't report any issues with driving his HiLux up to this cache, I thought my Jeep would handle it similarly. However, it had just rained heavily, causing the track to become muddy. I attempted it nevertheless, and my car did slip and slide as it made its way up. When it got to the steeper section, it started really sliding and the wheels started spinning. I realised that the additional 200 m walk wasn't too significant, and decided to take the risk averse option given I was solo with limited (no) recovery gear with me today. So I slowly reversed it down, and that was a little heart wrenching given the direction the car wanted to go wasn't always where I was pointing it. So back to the circular clearing, I then walked/jogged up.
There were some really nice views at this bluff location, and behind me, there was evidence of a car that had fallen down the quarry wall, left to rust in situ. I searched around GZ for the cache, and it ended up taking me about 5-10 min to locate. I suspect its current hide is a little easier to find than how it was hidden a few years ago, causing the DNFs to other Geocachers. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks GoShaz for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. I'm glad I don't need to return up here again!

An interesting drive up to this one. The Hilux did it without any problems though. Not a bad view from the top either, although it was a little obscured by the rain today!

Headed out with sylken for a full day caching. We thought we would be home in time for happy hour but alas after lunch we were taking way longer to arrive at GZ and then find the relevant cache! [8)] That'll teach Mrs F to complement herself on 'the list' being 'just right' duh. [B)]

A very enjoyable day caching with FelixII and finding many varied types of caches which added to the enjoyment.
Mrs FelixII had worked out a great circuit of caches to aim for and we managed to complete all but a couple of them.
I will add extra notes that are needed to any logs if necessary.
This one took way longer than it should have done but Mr FelixII eventually found it in a place that had been searched a few times previously.
Very many thanks to all the CO’s for their caches and maintenance which gave us a great day out

It was there all along. Never trust a DNF, especially those by noobs. Cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age. Awesome views from GZ and a great drive in.

Found again after nearly 4 years of unlove. Located about 7 metres from where the GPSr wanted us. Great views. Excellent spot.
As Freddo said it was there all the time. It just needed some serious searchers to visit and find it. Don’t be fooled by DNFs when there is no reason for it to be missing. If it is not here, or there, it may be over there. And it was.
Excellent. TFTC +

I headed down to the south-east with gridge98 on a quick, two-day trip to find a few caches.
We had some rather mixed weather, with sunshine, rain, hail and wind at different stages, but most of the time it was good weather for caching.
We also had rather mixed results in terms of caches. There were some interesting hides in some terrific places; some along the beaches, some in the pine forests and others at various scenic or interesting locations. We managed a few lucky FTFs, but also a few disappointing DNFs. But all in all, it was a great trip.
Unfortunately this was one of the disappointments. We drove up to near GZ and clambered all over the place checking all the likely spots we could find, but no luck.

Found on our trip to the Little Big Event with Firesafe great views and a nice cache
Fantastic views! Took a wrong turn but soon corrected. A few patches of sand had me worried in a 2WD but not an issue. Almost lost the car keys when I picked up the cache. Thankfully you don't have to be too sure footed.
We took the walk in option and once we were near GZ Labchick took one side and I the other. She had chosen wisely and soon had the cache in hand. Left a flower, took nothing. Lovely views of the tree plantations and the wind farm. A great spot even though we found it a bit tricky to get on the right track in. Cache #1,455.
Brought Andrews Holden VX Commodore Wagon up to find this one. The Commodore didn't handle the terrain good
This one nearly did have us bluffed, we were certainly puffed after walking about 200 metres up hill. It took us a while to find as the GPS had us looking 7 metres away from the cache today. We came up with the cache after checking many hiding spots and got our 200th find. Took Geo Coin and left a duck. TFTC

Thanks for the adventure, Shaz! We went the long way... over a sandy track (almost bogged!), slowly and suspicious past a house and its occupants watching us from the drive way, up and down a pine break and then eventually onto the right track! Haha! Great times! Some one has had a bit of a burnout session at gz though Poor bluff! A beautiful view on a beautiful day! TFTC

I decided yesterday to take the day off and do a Leap Day caching run, so it was pleasant surprise that a new cache had been listed. I was up here a couple of years ago when I Waymarked the nearby Trig point, but I couldn't remember how I managed to drive to the top.
The tracks I chose to go up on provided some tight sphincter moments, particularly the very sandy uphill stretches. I got there in one piece in the end and managed to find the easy way down. The view was brilliant and cache easy to find.
Thanks for breaking my FTF drought!
