Had a few hours free this morning whilst in Kununurra so decided to knock off a few caches around town. Enjoyed some cool spots that the locals have chosen to share with us.
Quick find. Bottom beam.
Had three weeks holiday so decided on a massive road trip to the most northern part of the state - the Kimberley. An area we have never explored, but had always been on the to do list. We travelled through the towns of Mount Magnet, Newman, Port Hedland, Broome, Halls Creek, Kununurra, back to Broome, Karratha, Exmouth, Denham, Geraldton and back home to Perth. It certainly was a very quick trip for the distance covered, over 8,000 kilometres in total, we saw a lot in such a short space of time, but barely scratched the surface of what’s out in these parts.
We would like to thank the individual COs for hiding the caches throughout these parts, from the towns to the highways and byways. Thank you for choosing to share these locations with us and we appreciate the effort you have gone to. Thanks for the fun.

Continuing on with my trip around the top end I finally got to Kununurra.
Knowing it was going to be another hot one today I got up early and headed out to tackle a few caches before it got too hot.
I was muggled out the other day on the way in but today I had the place to myself.
Looked in quite a few places the eventually felt the cache.
Cache now has anew log book so good to go again.
Thanks TikkityBoo TFTS TFTC.

Take a long time searching. We found the chache but in my opinion it is not a micro but a nano.
The Big Western Australia trip in 2018. Day 13. The road again continued West to Timber Creek and then Kununarra, plenty of roadside stops in the hyper long grass along the way.
I had a good poke around but did not find anything. Mind you with such a big display, there could be something anywhere on it.
Thanks.

I have spent a few days in Kununurra on a work trip from Canberra. The rain held off this afternoon, giving me a chance to find a few caches (and not find one).
While the hinted-at sign isn't here anymore, it isn't hard to figure out where it was and a quick search revealed the cache.
The log is getting full - only one spot left! TFTC

Sign has gone but cache is still there. Found a nice place for lunch advertised on the board.
TFTC.
Unfortunateley the Kununurra CRC aren't around anymore so the sign is not there. You can use google street view if you get stuck. Log is also full.

We are staying in Kununurra for a few days and took the opportunity to grab this cache whilst we are here.
The cache was found after a few minutes of looking.
Unfortunately the log is full and we didn't have a replacement with us.

No sign anymore but easy to find. Need replacement 'cause no more room to log. TFTC
After doing the Gibb River Road we are in town for a couple of days and naturally grabbing caches here and there
Even though the sign is missing it's still a quick find.
Only 1 signing spot left so log will need replacing

We headed off this morning towards Kununarra to have a couple of night with friends there and of course the journey wouldn't be the same if we didn't stop for a few caches along the way.
We wish we had a dollar for every information board that we have pulled up[ at since starting Geocaching, that way we would have a lot more money for more fuel to go and visit a lot more information bays. As we sometimes have trouble with these we decoded the clue before we started which turned out to be a waste of time as some one has removed that panel so we had to rely purely on the GPS which fortunately was quite accurate and the little bugger was found in the second place we looked and the log book now contains our initials.
Thanks Tikkityboo for the cache.

We left Parry's Lagoon this morning heading towards Kununurra as we continue our meandering across northern Australia from one side to the other after attending the Red Centre Experience.
This was find #2 for the day.
After arriving in town, we shopped, set up camp and had lunch. Now for some caches. This one had me stumped for a while as Monty, aka my GPSr, was leading me astray. Back to the drawing board. Read earlier logs. Yes! Back to GZ and search more methodically. Even then I nearly missed it.
Once signing duties were completed the cache was returned to its hidey hole. TFTC SL as SG as I often do in small caches to save space.

Day 24 on my trip from Perth to the Red Centre Experience in Alice Springs with m4yb and Max the GeoUte pulling Jonathan Swift the Jaycp camper trailer.
What an adventure it has been and great to get some caches along the route. Today we have mashed the remaining potatoes and added the tomatoes to our last meal in the NT for awhile.
Nice quick find by her. But no CRC sign

Great little cash. Been in the area a year and this is the first one I have had time to do!
Just as we began a muggle turned up so we left and returned about an hour later. No one else around and it was a quick find in the first place checked. SL. Thanks to TikkityBoo for the cache.
First find for the day after an awesome coffee at Wild Mango ... Love that we have an extra 90minutes in the day... Quick find here and Replaced log T4TC:)
TFTC. No CRC sign now. Look for the Kimberlyland Holiday Park sign. On the underside of the structure.
During our holidays in Australia we travelled a lot and searched some caches. TFTC and greetings from Switzerland.
Our current visit to Australia had been in the planning for over a year with the very significant help and advice from friends who live in Melbourne. The original plan was for a 2 month visit, but as things progressed we just couldn't help extending our trip to the full 90 days allowed on our visas - after all it's a big country and so much to see and do, especially with our favourite pastimes being birding, hiking and of course geocaching! Our journey started with our arrival at Perth airport followed by a day cycling around Rottnest Island before travelling on to Adelaide where we met up with our friends. We then continued on to spend some time on Kangaroo Island, before heading to Melbourne via Goolwa, Strathalbyn, Coorong, Mount Gambier, Cape Bridgewater, the Grampians National Park, Port Campbell, Cape Otway and Lorne, cramming in as much as possible on route. The second leg of our journey was a fabulous 9 days in Tasmania. Having then returned to Melbourne we set off on the third leg of our journey, which was to Sydney via Wilson’s Promontory, Lakes Entrance, Mallacoota, Pambula Beach, Thredbo, Canberra and Fitzroy Falls. We then spent a few days in Sydney with geocaching friends efore flying on to the Gold Coast for the fourth leg of our travels, that included visits to Lamington National Park, Noosa and an overnight trip out to Fraser Island. We then flew from Brisbane to Cairns, where we spent a couple of nights before heading out to the birding hotspots of Yungaburra and Daintree. Following on from a visit to Cape Tribulation we turned to Port Douglas. After a day out on the Great Barrier Reef we returned to Cairns for the flight to Alice Springs and the fifth leg of our travels, which was a wonderful week driving the circuit to and from Ayers Rock in our 4x4 camper. On returning to Alice Springs we then flew on to Darwin, where we picked up another 4x4 camper. We are currently making our way towards Broome via Kakadu, Cooinda, Katherine Gorge, Kununarra, Lake Argyle, Emma Gorge, the Bungle Bungle’s and Fitzroy Crossing. Our last two nights in Australia will be spent in Broome before we fly back to Perth, from where we will connect with the flight all the way back home to Zimbabwe via South Africa. We already know we can't wait to return!
This was a nice quick find at Ground Zero with the help of the updated clue by Power Hunt. We signed the log in the last possible space! Thanks so much for the cache.

TFTC! We nearly didn't find it as it was on the ground. But, we found that the magnet itself had fallen out, we have replaced the magnet, so now it sticks again. We have put it on the underside of the structure. Also note, the CRC sign is no longer there. Look for the Kimberlyland sign, cache is near there.
The big move from Townsville to Mandurah WA. 5000km and lots of caches!:) After the geocaching event in Katherine, the next driving stint to Kununurra has begun!
Finally in Kununurra and 2 days rest stop are in order while collecting some caches in the area.

Today at Kununurra we completed a few caches that need to be done and this was one of them. An easy find.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Drove past here earlier this morning and thought.....mmm..... Wonder if there is a geocache there. Checked the map and sure enough there was. Stopped and made a quick find. TFTC
The CRC sign is gone but the cache is still there, just a little harder to find. TFTC.
10:13:00 AM. This had us looking longer than it should have as half the signs are missing and the clue doesn't mean anything now. In the end I made the find and signed log as we left town. Thanks TikkityBoo for placing this cache.
