Mrs. Drull is a ghoul. She is - or was - one of the regular attendees that Windle Poons met at Reg Shoe's Fresh Start Club in Ankh-Morpork. Lupine the Werewolf advised Windle not to try one of her meat pasties:
'Oh dear,' said Windle, 'she doesn't make them out of humans does she?'
'What? Oh no - she's just not a very good cook!'
Retired now, she does childrens' party catering.

The road is closed ahead but we came in from the right direction. CaptainVimes spotted a child watching us from a nearby window. Thanks for the cache
PirateLinda and I have journeyed to Stanthorpe to attend the Catch-up in Stanthorpe event… With nothing more pressing, we’re making a long weekend of it…
The giant thermometer in Stanthorpe announced it was 11.0 degrees today… which meant at some stages I had three layers of clothing on, including a down jacket…
A roundabout way to get to this cache thanks to the road closure… we thought it might have been a mistake until we saw the lack of road…

What did one cat eye say to the other cat eye? Between us something smells! Sorry to be the purrpetrator of this clawful joke! Purrhaps we can still be furends? TFTC
Have not had a caching run for a few weeks, so decided to find some lonely back roads from Warwick to Applethorpe. Of course, they had to contain a few caches. Had hoped for about 10, came home with 15! Can't complain about that. Morning tea and lunch, then some tasting a the cheese factory!
Nice back road. Thanks for the hide 2 shadows

On a rainy day like today there is nothing better than visiting the Christmas Tree Farm and of course finding some geocaches. This cache was located quickly. Thank you 2 Shadows
I mentioned to some geobuddies that I wanted to go to Stanthorpe to finally collect the last of the Apple caches. A plan was hatched and a weekend away was planned. The weather did not look promising this morning, so we started out a bit earlier than originally planned. After finding a nearby cache, we headed to this one. A quick find was made and the log signed. It is raining now, so time to head back for a cuppa and wait to see what the weather will do. TFTC

I have just had the best weekend caching around the Warwick, Summit and Stanthorpe areas. With caching buddies (geonayfee, Willis007 and Triple Turmoil) for the weekend we got in a very large number of caches, completing the apple geoart, the fruit run and a few other special caches along the way. I had a fantastic weekend with lots of laughs and funny events it just made for a fun time; the puzzle solving in the lead up to the weekend was great also.
A big thanks to all the CO’s of the caches along the way; for placing and maintaining the caches for us to enjoy. Visiting this area and seeing places I would never see in a normal trip here was enlightening, so again thanks.
In the weekend I got around 180 caches so firstly apologies for the generic part to the log, I do not remember all specifically but some did stand out so I will add a little to those in my posts.
Day two and it was an early start, there is so much still to get in the area. A fun and eventful day in many ways, lol.
As we started to work our way back home it was a matter of zigzagging and back tracking the caches to Warwick.

Day two on our epic journey around Stanthorpe and surrounds with Chamad, TripleTurmoil and Willis007.
After some much needed rest we woke up bright and early (Thanks Chamad for the farmyard sounds) and set off for another full day of caching around Stanthorpe to clear up the rest of the Stanthorpe Apple and a few other caches in between, then we slowly made our way back north towards Warwick while grabbing a bunch of caches we didn't get yesterday.
Same as yesterday we had a wonderful time exploring the area. I really enjoy visiting this part of the world, it's a great feeling to get out of the city and enjoy the country life.
Thank you to each and every CO for placing caches at these locations. We had a great time.

After meeting Willis007 and Chamad at a previous event over New Years, they invited me to join them on an epic geoart mission at Stanthorpe. After weeks of puzzling and planning, today was day 2 (together with Nayfee). We covered a lot of mileage, had a lot of laughs and learnt a lot along the way.
Between Stanthorpe and Warwick (on our way back to Brisbane) there are a LOT of caches to sign and we did a pretty good job of getting every single one we could - signed as Twocan to save 25 seconds of signing at each cache, as we had work to do!

Day 2 of our holiday in Stanthorpe. After visiting the maze we stopped for a couple more caches. TFTC!
After lunch today we went for a wine tasting at Moonrise Estate. It’s a little winery around the corner from where we were staying and we were waiting for it to be open.
On the wine list was Chardelho and Verdonnay. When I first read the wine names I thought someone had been imbibing too much of the local product. One was so good we bought one but I can’t remember which. We also got a rose and their Shiraz. It was starting to get darker and the forecast for tonight was wine. tftc

Early morning cache in the fantastic Stanthorpe. Love winter in this part of the world.
We turned off fhe road we were on just for two caches, We saw an interesting cut out blowing in the wind and came the conclusion the cache would be either on or near to it. Of course we were wrong but did find the cache not too far away
A quick sign of the log before replacing and we were then on our way to our next prize.
Thanks For The Cache 2shadows

Kestal and I headed south from Toowoomba on a numbers grab for her next milestone...a total of 57 required...it was a case of see how we go as to whether the numbers would add up today to accomplish her own personal challenge or another trip would be required. There were quite a few on her list that I had already found but I was happy to play chauffeur so she could accomplish her goal. This cache happened to be one that Kestal had found and I had not but since we were driving right by I had to stop to put my name in the log. By 11am we were surprised how well we were doing and decided to go for the "big one". TFTC 2 shadows.
Last day in Stanthorpe and what better way to spend it than finding the odd cache or three, most were easy finds though a couple had us hunting for a few minutes

It was a good caching day today and we picked up some more smiley faces for our map, along with ilook4geo. We found more caches in a few different series and only had one DNF to spoil the day. Each of the caches had the log signed, usually as GP2 and ilg. Each container was then put back into place as it had been found. Our thanks go to 2 shadows for placing this cache and adding to the fun of the game.
Caching along mostly very quiet country roads today with goingplaces2 gave a really good result for the day. Logs were signed, caches were put back and we were soon headed off to the next find. Thanks for this cache.
Its seems like years since we have night cached with our caching buddies.

This cache has gone so I have replaced it with a trusty eclipse tin - now sitting in corner fence post inside.
So about a metre away from the cat eye.
So about a metre away from the cat eye.
Gz put us to where we could see a nut and bold and what would be left of a cat's eye? Not here will need the CO to confirm.
Logging a DNF on this one, unfortunately we found the hide location but the cache has gone, I'd say it has been hit by a car as the cat eye is gone
Unable to attend mega when on
so today we picked up a few well about 40

Sunday. Mrs SP was on the way home from her stay at Girraween. Leaving the Stanthorpe area for Brisbane I decided to pick up just a handful of caches. This was one of them. I had a fair idea of what I was looking for and I got a quick find on this one. I have not come across a cache container like this one before however and it is a bit different to what I was looking for. Lovely area and no one was looking from the house across the road.
This was the 3rd of 9 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***2 shadows***, for showing us this place.

TFTC! Was only. Couple of options at ground zero and realised when it wasn’t the most obvious one, that there was only one other! I’ve found one like this before and been told by fellow geocachers of this type.
On another note, poor reception led me to drive down the dirt road, at the same time the believed owner was driving out. He made a point of coming to me and asking - “what are you chasing?” I said I’m taking a scenic drive. He said well this is a private driveway. So note for future geocachers, you might want to stay off the dirt track.

Sometimes it's just about the numbers and this run was for that and if course the planetary souvenirs. I truly admire those that have done 100 or more, we were exhausted after just over 50 but that gets us half way there. We still enjoyed the driving and looking on the back roads and thank you for your effort in putting them there for us to do this run. TFTC

Down a very quiet country Lane, the name of this geocache helped us with the final GZ. The log was signed and replaced. A clever little hide.
There is a new piece of paper in the container, however it looks as if it would blow out any moment as the container is no longer correctly secured.
Thanks 2 shadows for another great cache.

I set out bright and early this morning for a day of caching, but not before I'd kidnapped a geo-guru on my way through Toowoomba, to be my chauffeur, and to find a few he had yet to get further south. It was a big day and a good day. Found this sneaky one and signed the log, thanks for the cache!
New England Roadtrip day 1: Brisbane to Armidale via Warwick, Stanthorpe, Tenterfield and Glen Innes. The ultimate aim of this quick jaunt is to find the last remaining DT required to complete the 3rd loop of our DT grid, the closest of which happens to be 500km away in Armidale !
This one had me looking all over the place but the good coords brought me back to GZ where the title made sense. Log had fallen and was on the ground. Signed and replaced to where it should be.
Thanks **2 shadows** for bringing us here, this find makes #3744. Discover our trackable TGQNRV.

QLD Mega trip 2015 with Sol de Lune. On this almost 400km road trip we drove from Canberra to Stanthorpe caching in all the towns along the way with mostly great success. Around the Mega there were heaps of caches to be done including a few power trails. Despite the weather we got all of the planned caches done.
Day twelve is the last day we spent in the Stanthorpe region. First was the fruit run then finishing off the A.S. series. The rest of the day was spent collecting the left over caches that in fact took us to some of the more amazing places on this trip. Thanks.
