Afraid this one has me stumped. Both the Garmin GPS and the iPhone take me to a point about 10m from the tree line towards the water! Hardly going to dig in the sand. Not sure why as others found it so easily it seems. Hmmm.
Cache in desperate need of a little TLC but wow what a spectacular and beautiful location

On our trip through Australia we drove to Kangoroo Island after visiting Sydney, Melbourne, the Great Ocean Road and the Grampians. After a really scary ride to our hotel (our ferry arrived at 7pm and we had to drive all over the island to our hotel and through the darkness with a lot of wallabies and possums on the street) we enjoyed the next morning with Seal Bay and Flinders Chase National Park. For sure we also visited Admiral's Arch and the Remarkable Rocks, two really impressive places. Back on the mainland we had one day at Adelaide, before we flew to Alice Springs. From there we started the ride to the Red Center and on the way to the Mereenie Loop Road we stopped at a lot of the beautiful Gaps, Chasms and Gorges. First stop was the Simpsons Gap, after this we made the short walk to the Standley Chasm and then we arrived at the Ellery Creek Big Hole. Afterwards we finished the day with a visit of the fascinating Ochre Pits and the Ormiston Gorge. The next day we drove further to the Mereenie Loop Road, but a short stop at Gosse Bluff came first. From Tyler's Pass we had a first look at the crater, before we took the sandy road to Gosse's Bluff. After the spectacular ride over the Mereenie Loop Road, we arrived at Kings Canyon the early afternoon and were happy that it wasn't too hot. After sleeping in a very comfortable tent we continued our way to Ayers Rock. Trying to catch a nice sunrise we got out of bed very early and so we had enough time to walk through the valley of the winds, before it was closed. Afterwards we walked all around the Ayers Rock and were very wiped out at the end. But the fascinating landscape excused the stresses and strains. After this we flew to Cairns where we enjoyed a trip to the Great Barrier Reef, to Kuranda and some homley days at the beach. The trip to Michaelmas Cay was really impessive, we had a nice turn with a catamaran and four hours of snorkeling at the cay. Really wonderful and we had the possibility to swim with a big turtle. Two days later we took the Scenic Railway up to Kuranda and stopped at the lookout at the Barron Falls. After a little walk through the rainforest we returned to Cairns via the skyrail. The last days we used the time to log the one or other cache at the beach.

Yahoo - cache number 500 for dalsmit. Thanks to Luke Maureen Robert & various other distinguished helpers in achieving this milestone.
Beautiful spot. Good to find a quiet beach around Cairns. Cache desperately needs a new log. It's full and squashed. Signed with date and just aj. Thanks for bringing me here.
Found with Charlie barker last month. Tftc. Forgot to make entry. Beautiful spot.
Very cute but needed an extraction tool. Couldn't sign, sorry. It is very squished in and perhaps a little damp. My little geo kit is back in NSW! Beautiful late arvo sunshine after some wet days. Tftc. Love your work!
Very good TFTC
Broken glass left next to it? Kids grabbed it we put that in bin:)

Nice quick find, but extracting the cache was another matter. After some time we managed to get our hands on the log and then sign it.

Zop and I are having a grand time while we are on our whirlwind tour of Australia. Thanks for the stop along the way.
Staying nearby at an Air B&B with some woman I met geocaching and decided to take a walk along the beach for a few caches. This was our first stop and our first Geocache in the area!

Found while visiting from the South Coast of WA. Took time out for a late afternoon drive around the beaches. Clever little cache that took some effort in getting log out to sign. Lovely and peaceful with no muggles.
No pen, shame. Lovely little cache though. Thank you

Just another relaxing stroll on the beach with a bonus to be able to log a cache. Didn't come very prepared and used my earring to retrieve the log.

Amazing!!! Seriously great job. My GPS was a bit off so firstly I came across a doggy doo doo bag thinking "hang on a minute, they wouldn't.....would they???" I mean I had come across quite a few interesting and different micro's in the last 24hrs so yep, I did, I opened the doo doo bag and yep, you guessed it, it wasn't it [xx(]. So then I had to put Geocaching 101 skills into play and bingo . Well done isthmus for another exciting and interesting cache. TFTC.
50th cache!
Am really enjoying the caches around this area, some of them are so creative!
Thanks isthmus

I was on my way back to Cairns Airport from Port Douglas with some spare time for caching on the way. I wanted to find 7 caches on the way so I stopped of at Kewarra Beach as there were a few in the area.
This cache was a nice quick find on a quite beach with a pleasant view. The cache itself was a very clever hide and goes on my growing list of caches waiting for Favourite Points.
Thanks Isthmus for this one and all the others that highlight the northern beaches.

Found this one with the geobro, Goldfinger777, on a geomission while on holidays at Port Douglas . The GPS signal was a little bit jumpy here-geobro searched one structure and I concentrated on another, where the sneaky little hide was found quite quickly. We enjoyed this one! Thanks for yet another crafty little cache, isthmus
A quick access one from the road for Fangsoki and I today even though the road was closed to all but 'local traffic'. In the area for our Cairns caching trip and this was next along our way down the coast. Such a nice area here, great view out to the island on a perfect day and not drizzling for a moment while here. The cache was another quick find for us here, having seen this type of clever hide before. TFTC isthmus
Captain Terror and I were in the area doing some caches.
We found a good way in toward GZ. Thankfully it was not muggle prone today. After a bit of an inspection of GZ, we came up with the goods. A nice little hide on a nice beach. TFTC isthmus

Found on our holiday to Cairns from Broken Hill. This was a beautiful beach, we loved the area. Lots of muggles today but we found a quiet patch!

Too subtle for me. iPhone GPS was pointing to the middle of the sand below the waterline! Have to come back with the Garmin.

Checked this one this afternoon and cache is all good. Hopefully the fellow cachers we said hello to on the beach found it and enjoyed the stroll.
Clever hide, had to have a second look at the hiding place before locating the little fellow. TFTC isthmus.
