I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.
Hi surf5a
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

No one else about so I spent about 20mins looking around every structure to no avail.
Had to come back to do this one as the seat was occupied. Quick find. Cache all good. TFTC
Coromandel day exploration with evilC. Nice walk along the beach, and the island looked very inviting. TFTC!!
Found with Hinemoana after a pleasant walk up the beach on a beautiful morning. Thanks!
We have compeleted the 309 Pony Express and heading back to Whitianga. But still time so ventured out this way while in the area. Sometimes it pays to check again or check each others place. My find here today. Cheers.
Day 6 - Wednesday 23 December - Coromandel - Whitianga - Coromandel -And back to Whitianga again. 309 Pony express is the aim today. But it was a hot dusty day and many caches below par so dissapointing. Left Zara in Whitianga and headed out around the loop in Toby.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are off on another geocaching escape over Xmas, this time to the mighty Coromandel, then over to Opotiki and stop off at Rotorua to return home on 5 January. Had an fabulous time exploring many wonders of our country. Rounding up over 400 caches along the way, with a few LABS, 20 odd TMGTs, virtuals and lots of interesting earth caches to keep the mind busy. Watching the sun come up on New Years Day at Mt Maunganui was spectacular. Lots of walking and even more driving. But had an awesome time. Thanks to all COs who made this adventure so special.

After caching the 309 we came back to this side of the coast. Still half a day left. Here... I looked and felt and came up blank. the dragon tries the same thing in the same place. Success! Not sure if I am annoyed or relieved. Or both!
Taybeedragon and I went on a tour of the Coromandel - one of the few places of New Zealand, especially of Te ika a Maui, that I have yet to explore throughly, and from there along the coast to Opotiki to see one of my many, many sisters. From 18 December to 5 January we found over 400 caches, including 12 adventure labs (60 caches), 20 or so TMGTs and a host of virtuals and earthcaches. And I hosted an event to see the sun come up on New Year's day - surprisingly popular given that it was at 5am. We climbed a lot of hills, saw some amazing beaches that were quite popular despite (or because of) the insane access to them, walk a lot of bush, entered and explored 8 gold mines and generally had an awesome time. However I am glad to be back, but now is the hard part, and I fear it will take just as long - logging!

Snagged this one yesterday. But forgot to log it, was a very quick find, but I think I got lucky and it was in the first spot I looked!
We found this cache during our holidays, on the way to Coromandel!
Thanks for showing!

Found with MrsC on our NZ travels from the Uk. A day touring the Coromandel Peninsula. Thanks
Al lovely view from a lovely beach. Found with mr c on our travels from the uk thank you
Unexpected long weekend! Off to Coromandel then... Day 3 ... I had nice conversation with "local" chap at GZ. Told him story about Geocaching .... We couldn't find that one after long search so left little replacement at GZ. I hope is ok. TFTC anyway.
As you sit and log this cache there is behind you a sad memorial to a father who died just 44 years old. Hope he enjoyed the beach and view as much as we do.
A gentle day of caching. Admiring all the stunning beaches as we go. This cache was not too hard to find, although I made it so, by not going straight to the obvious ! TFTC
Having never been to New Chums, we went armed with picnic and togs for the trek over to the beach and several hours in the sun (and only a minute or two in the sea as damn it was cold!!!!
After an ice cream we made our way down the beach to gather a few caches. Lovely view and easily found cache, thanks

Find number 5835. Cache was not where I expected but found it anyway. No sitting and enjoying the view today. And the island cache will have to wait. Thank you for the placement.
Today is our third day on our way to the south island and our first day at the Coromandel Peninsula. Having spent the night at Coromandel Town we are now heading towards Cathedral cove, stopping at few lookouts and beaches on the way. After walking to Chums beach from the carpark at the shop I picked this cache up on our way back ro thw car after enjoying a few moments at Chums Beach and having a nice walk along the rocks and across the stream to get there and back. I quickly found the cache once looking at the right place. Tftc
enjoyed a seat after a walk to new chums beach. lovely beaches on a sunny winter day
Beautiful beach here and a nice quick cache find. Despite the rain forecast, looking pretty good so far. Found with xo^8. TFTC!!!

Having a rare weekend off plus no work today, KrystalKath, Tama & I have headed to the Coromandel for the duration, staying at Simpson’s Beach out of Whitianga.
Today we’ve left the caravan and driving to Fletcher Bay - a part of NZ neither of us have previously visited. The weather forecast is not particularly good but in actual fact **the day is stunning,** cloudless sky and no wind.
But first KK wants to visit New Chums Beach so here we are.
Took a seat and admired the view after a walk on the beach with Tama the geohound. Found the cache. The first of a few today. **Wonderful spot. Thanks for bringing us here.** TFTC

though i had logged this and included photos! We travelled north and are holidaying in and around the Coromandel staying in motels, with friends and in our tent while getting out each day to see the sights, swim in the beautiful beaches or go for walks etc as well as locating a few geocaches, of course. We have had good weather the whole time with just a few showers at night and some wind while at hahei.
Thank you for this cache to all the Cache owners and another smiley face.

Found easily. No pen but sending pic to CO. Dropped our shell with a little hole into cache. TFTC
Nice place to sit but can't find cache while sitting. Read some old logs and that was helpful. Love Whangapoua.TFTC
Second day on this amazing beach after spending the week at Kuaotunu.
I love bringing friends to see New Chums and watching gannets on the tor. They scattered enmasse when a predator flew in to grab a chick or egg.
Lovely beach. Lovely day. Wind is picking up, so time to go. TFTC. Tried to dry Il the log book a bit but you’ll soon need to replace it anyway. Found with SoStephOh.
Fav point because of location. Brilliant!

Found after extending our search a little. Log book could do with replacing. Lovely view. Tftc.
Nice little find that made Whangapoua even better. The desertedness is amazing. Took the hint too literally, and looked in all the wrong places. Found it after reading some of the logs. Didn't have a pen, but happy to send a photo of the cache if requested by CO. TFTC
Awesome weather today for caching. No wind the sun is out and an extra bonus no muggles about. TFTC
Another cache in this quiet area today. Seems we were the only ones about TFTC surfie
Initially looked at the hint object, then found after a read of old logs. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. BJ25. Find # 1655
First cache for me on my own, as I am the youngest of the family. As I walked alone towards the cache from the car park, I red through the logs. If you want to find the cache without an very obvious hint/tip, DO NOT look through the logs. Though if you want an easy find continue reading.
Beautiful spot to sit and enjoy the view. Took a while and a read of the logs to make the find. Also, had to wait for a few muggles to go by before I could replace the cache. TFTC.
Eventually found thanks for tip in the log. Look left from seat to tree. Last night so enjoying a final walk with kids.
On our way back from New Chums Beach and decided to grab one more for the year. Very quick find after reading logs but believe it would be quite straight forward anyway. Beautiful view over an equally beautiful beach. TFTC
After a couple of goes at looking for it i finally found it hard to do in over the new years
Found with team BOP what a long but awesome weekend we had with lots of walking up and down hills but the views were worth it such a spectacular place we live in.

Day 2 -We had planned a big weekend with 6 of us travelling the Coromandel area and logging caches as team BOP. Found many great spots, several caches we replaced wet log sheets and others missing for some time. Lots of km's travelled on tarseal, gravel and some not so good roads. Lots of rained showers seemed to plague us on the first day. SLTFTC
Team BOP have joined forces again this time to tackle the Coromandel. DC and I were still pretty knackered from Opera Hill so we were more then happy to have the others take lead here. A quick find and a nice view. Cheers surf5a, TFTC.
With Gap (of Fap and Gap), (Mr) Davidson clan, NZFlossy, TNXPro, and Philip.Perry… This is the first time we have cache overnight together. What an adventure… We group signed as Team BOP for efficiency and expediency.
We visited so many beautiful and remote locations on the Coromandel Peninsula. Many of these areas deserved to be hosts to caches. However, we encountered several that needed owner maintenance. Wet logbooks seemed to be far too common (We’ve had a lot of rain). Oftentimes, a sodden logbook was stuffed back into the container with a new, bagged logbook alongside (What's up with that?). And then there were some caches that were quite obviously missing (and have been for a while)… Nevertheless, a huge thank you to all of the COs for bringing us to these amazing places… We are determined to return and explore some more.
Found after a scan of the possibilities... TFTC

While the rest of the team were fart-arsing around and maybe lost, flossy and I decided to walk to this cache also, which took a lot longer because the hint was less than helpful. To help others, we eventually found the cache at the base of the small tree to the left of the seat.
While we were signing the cache, the others finally found us.
Thanks for bringing me here.
Left a TB.

On a road trip with Team BOP - So nice to have the sun shining and adding to the beautiful views. Started looking in one spot and then another and then ended up going back to the first spot TFTC
I shouldn't have read the hint. It had me looking where the cache wasn't, but I sat in lots of places looking at the view while hoping the cache would fall into my hands. Was about to concede defeat, but when I trusted the coordinates, the cache became obvious.
A half year ago we - McMuffin, Flitzpiepe, LE Surfy and I - started with the concrete plans for our holidays in New Zealand. The flights and the campervan were booked, the hotels in Auckland and Christchurch were selected and the route was planned. On 16.2.2017 we started our journey and arrived on 18.2.2017 in Auckland, a little bit tired, but very excited. The baggage was given in the hotel and we already went on sightseeing and seeking caches. Of course, we visited at the harbor, walked through the streets and had a look over Auckland from the top of the Skytower.
On 19.2.2017 started our campervan adventure. First we drove to Coromandel Peninsula. I like the Driving Creek Railway, the New Chum Beach and the Cathedral Cove very much. We could also find some nice caches.
After our visit of the New Chum Beach could we sign the Logbook of this geocache.
Thanks for the cache and many greetings, Iliona

The funny thing is that my friend and I were sitting here this morning not knowing there was a cache just here.... but all good. Found it this evening. Beautiful beach.
A sunny afternoon with MUEZ at the beaches of Whangapoua: This one was found by MUEZ while I was enjoying the view and the peace and quiet at this lovely beach. / TFTC!
