A plan was made today to head over to Duder Regional Park to find some more of the caches that we have previously not found. Must of solved this puzzle a long time ago because if it wasnt for my notes I am not so sure I would be able to solve it again now. A good idea for a puzzle that I havent come across again since. Struggled a little with the hide, spent a lot of time in the wrong place before trying one more and managing to make the find.
Family overnight stay nearby allowed for a wander along the beach and up into the park. i_halfpint and I headed along this trail. I had pre solved this puzzle curious to see where it landed and it was on our path. Fun little puzzle thank you and no problem at GZ. Great to add our names to the log. Thanks for the puzzle.
M24: m14 solved this some time ago, so while out caching in the area, we decided to head out here to see if we'd be successful in finding it, and yep, we were. Nice and easy find, log all good and signed here. TFTC.

After a DNF on the previous cache I was predicting perhaps another DNF, lucky for me my prediction was wrong and it became a quick find.

but never to be so with Mega nearby Squirrel Nutcase & I visited today.
took us a while to finally locate.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)… On a pre-Mega mission… It was far too hot to be wandering around in the sun. We put off caching for the late afternoon and headed back to Duder Regional Park for another go…
We solved this puzzle so long ago, we’ve forgotten how it was done… We had no idea how to get to ground zone, so followed a couple of trails across. It took a while to narrow down the hide - We found the hints, but the cache had fallen down and behind. It’s been a while between finds, and we are pleased to add our handles into the logbook. Embarrassingly, we took the well laid pathway out. Thanks mattandjax. TFTP and TFTC.

I was out in the area for the CITO today. Really wonderful park, I spent the majority of the day walking up and down all the different hills to collect caches!
Thanks for all COs who put caches here!
Notes on this cache :
Quickly found while I was doing some trail maintenance, log pretty damp!

Touring the far north and Auckland region with Flowerydaze. After the postponement of the Mega we decided to come north anyway and take time out for caching. Lovely area and lovely weather. TFTC.
Talla64 and I are tiki-touring round the North Island visiting places we have not been to for years, or places we have never visitied. This is an area we have never visited previously. The scenery is beautiful and we enjoyed our visit very much. Thanks for the puzzle and for placing a cache here.
This was a puzzle I had solved some time ago - a type I had seen before so it didn't cause me any grief. When I arrived at the cache site, I saw something that kind of fitted the hint but couldn't see any good hiding place. I then re-checked my GPSr to discover it was now pointing somewhere else that seemed much more likely. TFTC, mattandjax.
I solved this ages ago but haven't had the chance to go out and sign the log. Well today was my chance. The description of where the cache is hidden is spot on. Found with EmCeeKiwi.
Solved this who-knows-years ago and finally got around to finding it while exploring the park. Log a wee bit water logged but still able to write in it. Found with Crusing5.
Out and about today with some of the Team Seac crew trying to tidy up some of the green dots in Duders today.
Found a new little spot I didn't even know existed in this park - awesome! Some of the crew went one way with no luck, I turned around and aha it must be over there....and yes it was. Nice sized container, log a bit damp but otherwise all good.
Thanks for the cache.

Thanks for the cache.
We were in the park with some of Team SEAC to clear up a few more of the caches. Nakored had solved this puzzle and was kind enough to share the final coordinates so we added the cache to our finds for the day. Once we got home we managed to solve the puzzle and get the final coordinates.
solved this along time ago and finally got to complete the formalities. intact but log soaked
Another puzzle solved at home in Britain in anticipation of a sunny New Zealand summer. Noy many people come here and the log paper is soaking wet. But a great detour on a wonderful walk.
We had a splendid day here exploring Duder park, and thought the T ratings for some caches were lower than they would be in Europe! Thanks to all COs for the great caching experience. Apologies for the generic addendum to the specific log that comes first.

We moved swiftly along little paths, bobbing from one to the other until finally we got there! Then the hint came into its own! Cache contents rather soggy but able to be signed. TFTC
Solved this puzzle a while ago and came today to make the find. We love this regional park and enjoy walking here very much. But this path was still unknown to us. So thanks for showing!!!
It was a nice big cache, very nicely hidden. Made the children happy! Tftc

To save room we have signed BoP and I am logging using the Cachly app Ctemplate so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing us here. Cheers
My daughter suggested that we visit this beautiful park and when we saw the puzzle, it was quickly solved.

I couldn't remember how I solved this so, as I was planning to be out this way, I solved it again. I must be getting better as it took about 10 minutes. A pleasant walk today to complete the paperwork. TFTC.
Bizarrely we have found this cache before; way before we solved the mystery. There was a rogaine post here (and still is) as part of the lactic turkey event!
Have had this on my solved list for so long. I met up with TheWonderStuff to complete finding the caches in Duder's Reserve. We were meant to do this last weekend, but called it off due to a forecast of torrential rain and high winds. We were so glad we postponed, as today's weather was amazing - sunshine and a nice cool breeze.
Was glad to finally locate this final, all tucked away from any muggle eyes.

Find number 3843. My mission today was collect points for the Planetary Pursuit challenge. I had 255 and needed 230 and then attend an event tonight to reach the final. I left Hamilton at 4.30 am heading to Duders Regional Park. I got the first cache at 6.30 am and by 3.00 am I had achieved the necessary. A total of 33 caches found and 9 not found. (Well not extensively looked for) The weather was great and I had a good walk around the park. Some lovely views and some great caches. Then it was a sleep in the car for a couple of hours before heading in for the night event. Some fish n chips at GZ while I watched the sunset. Then after the event it was home to Hamilton by 10.30 pm.
This solve was done some time ago. Enjoyed the walk to GZ. With the clue the cache was quickly found. Signed and returned. Thank you for the placement.

Not the nicest afternoon for our first walk out at Duder's, but we had a puzzle final to collect to continue our daily puzzle streak. We remember that we solved this puzzle the night it was published. We had been planning an early morning FTF trip, but FMZ and Lostcourse came and found it the night before. Never would have predicted it would take us 5 years to come and make the find! Today we wandered through the paddock in the rain, scattering a few sheep, then down to the bush. Looks like they had a small slip on the hill here in the heavy rain in March. No problem finding the container using the hint. Thanks for this puzzle. Very glad to have finally got it off our solved puzzle list.
We often struggle with puzzle caches and took a bit longer than we should have to solve this one but eventually got a green tick from geochecker and, after a celebratory dance, headed off to make the find.
Unfortunately the best route to GZ was closed due to landslips from the recent storm so we had to get there via a less direct and more difficult alternative, but we didn't mind as it made us feel even more victorious when we located the cache.
A great puzzle and a great hiding spot. Thanks for bringing us here.

We were out camping with KirsTim for the long weekend, staying at Omana Regional Park. Today we had set off to find many of the caches at Duder Regional Park. We solved this puzzle so long ago, but it was only recently when we were looking at some of our old solves, that we realised that we missed this one the first time we were in this area collecting finds. Fear not, this place has since been overloaded with caches, it warranted a return visit, as well as an opportunity to collect this solve. No problems locating the final here, and it was a welcome break out of the sun as well. Signed the log as KKKT, respective of each of our first names, in order to save log space. Thanks for the cache!
Camping the weekend with Vamber at Omana Campsite and set off to do as many of the caches at Duder Regional Park today. Vamber gave us the heads up they'd already solved this, so took a quick look and had the answer in hand within minutes, great. No problems with the final, and a nice rest from the blazing sun. Signed the log as KKKT, thanks
Solved this puzzle back in Rotorua. Made my way to GZ this evening for a nice quick find. Awesome evening out here tonight.

I found it, I found it! Yay! Walking towards the corrected coordinates it quickly became apparent where I should search (I'd written all of the clues out to conserve phone battery). Yay again!
Was planning a trip to Duders and decided to solve this one to see if it was close - turns out it was so we added it to our caches we wanted to collect for the day. Quite right that no bush bashing is required, just a nice stroll down a gladed path to GZ and a quick find. Nice sized cache here so we dropped a couple of hotwheels in and grabbed the travel bugs to get them moved along. Nice puzzle and hide, tftc.
Another trip to Duders to clear out the caches that were put in just after our last visit, and a chance to drop off some TBs. Solved this some time ago and today was the day to sign the log. TFTC

Found with team DD. Many of us had applied the intellectual and "mental" process to determine the coordinates for this cache. On the way here we debated which side of the stream it was located and did a long walk around to get here but as it was subsequently proven we could have walked straight to it.
A group of us Dudes and Dudettes were out today for a walk around Duders, so solved this puzzle the previous night. It was a tough decision as to which way we were going to get to the cache as we weren't sure which side of the stream it was on so took the long way round. Thankfully we didn't need to hoist the 'stunsail' to get across the stream as there was a nice wee bridge for us to cross. Turns out we could have taken the shorter route after all. Thanks for the cache and puzzle
A nice easy solve but I still managed to add two red crosses due to a dyslexic moment and overenthusiasm. This was the only cache I found first out of the group so I was extra happy to finally 'thaw' (dictionary log challenge) the iced over record. I love it when a puzzle also takes me to a surprisingly beautiful secret spot lined with Kowhai. FP
I was with Team D.D (Dudes and Dudettes) at Duders today. I hadn't solved the puzzle on the day but I did the homework later with a certain amount of help from pazzabella! Easy once you have the correct site to help out.
Out today with the slowly dwindling group of Dudes & Dudettes. I'd solved this (in anticipation) a couple of days ago, in a much shorter time than it took us to navigate our way there. We approached from the wrong side, then backtracked & side tracked... trudged downhill, through the bush & uphill again, before finally arriving at GZ. I certainly could've done some damage to a "tankard" of lager by then, I can tell you! Thanx for the puzzle & cache

Team DD, dandying around Duder!
Well, [Kaiser Chiefs surely predict a riot](https://youtu.be/hamKl-su8PE)!
Terrain around here is quite **coarse**, I must say, but we managed to find a track that lead us to the cache.
Puzzle - easy - at least for people who have seen mobile phones with external antennas.
Thanks for the cache!

Was having a look at all the caches around here and realised that I must have forgotten to log this one, found while on a wander with Mrs HC.
What a tranquil place, after spending some of the day with massive trucks thundering past at 1000 miles an hour ( it seems like it)
This is just lovely to hear the stream, very natural.

Arranged to spend the day with Team Welsh who had done some of these caches but was keen to pick up the ones missed on the last visit. We hatched a zig-zag plan to cover the park with the least amount of walking and altitude change and, armed with plenty of water and lunch, we set off. Unfortunately my GPS decided that it would spend the day impersonating a brick, so i was very pleased to peer over the shoulder of TW at her GPS. Thanks
Used my prior knowledge of the area from an orienteering event to help me navigate to this cache. Having solved it last night knowing we were heading this way today. Always pleased to turn those dratted question marks into a smilie. Thanks
Trying our hand at a few mystery caches, managed to get the right coordinates and set off for a nice long walk around the area this morning. What a beautiful little spot in the middle of a beautiful park! Had no idea this was here - TFTC!
I was heading out to Duder to pick up a few of the new caches that have just been published so thought I'd have a crack at this puzzle. I'm normally useless at puzzles but the hint definitely helped. Once at GZ it was a nice quick find , TFTC!
solved the puzzle at home already and today we found this one while walking the loop

My first mystery cache - yay. Was nice and easy to work out and managed to complete while doing the other new caches that have popped up at Duders regional park. Even though I walk here occasionally I have never done this leafy track that was nice and shady after a hot sunny walk up to the Trig.
Enjoyed solving this one a while ago and we were in the area today so swung by to pick it up. We were running low on battery and were down to Mrs beconazes phone which is usually pretty useless. For once it worked perfectly and lead us to the spot. We were lucky we could do this one in peace as the muggle loading was ridiculous on the other tracks
I had some time to spare between work commitments and other visits so decided to go and find a few caches in this area. Nice puzzle. I was able to get a working solution yesterday before I flew up to Auckland. Time to go and find it today. I almost headed up the wrong track but then followed GPS more closely to the right one. All good here. Good hiding place and a nice sized cache too. TFTC, Biggles.
Scanned the horizon knowing Mr A was going here to day and found a little challenge... thrown to Mrs A for the leg up .. ( where to start) turns out i had forgotten to decrypt the clue.. she picked it up real fast and then handed it back to Mr A to do the maths.. hey presto bang on. Had to walk past the entrance to the GZ twice with my muggles.. on the way in and on the way out... ( having pushed it a little to much with caching on the walk already.. i decided to make the short trip back once they had left... )
lunch consumed and a quick power walk back.. 3/4 in something told me to check the gps battery..ekkk its one bar and the spares are in the car!! Typical...... quick photo of the real coords on screen in case it died and i needed to manual enter into my smart nav software, and then a sprint to the finish line.. with the gps Beeeep ( battery low) before i got there... that's 5 minutes... on arrival at GZ there it was in double quick time -nothing like working to a deadline;-)

Nice puzzle... and a lovely walk to the final. Found cache on its side so replaced it standing upright hence less likely to get the log soaked. T4tc
Had solved this one a couple of months ago and so as a Sunday afternoon break from the house we decided to go for a walk and get this cache. Mr NZTravellers got a little off track but did come up with the goods. Almost got muggled in the process as well....... who would have thought others might have taken this little bypass track. TFTC
I went into the bush too early and came to a stream that looked difficult to cross. I retreated and found the obvious entry to the path that led directly to the cache. XNSL. TFTC.
I remember solving this one on the day it was published, and it's taken this long to finally get out here.
Wasn't sure what the GPS was playing at initially, but everything revealed itself without any hassles and the cache was found without any trouble.

We were out and about for a Sunday drive today, and a spot of caching out East. We stopped at Duder Regional Park and went for a bit of a walk on a lovely day. We noticed this nearby puzzle and managed to solve it in the car before we set off. We managed to figure out all bar 1 of the numbers via one method, before the subject matter of the puzzle dawned on us and we used the intended method to get the last number! After a pleasant stroll to GZ, the cache was soon found. Thanks for a nice puzzle and the cache!

After a morning of Kayaking and walking in the company of Zorgon we made for Dudders regional Park to finish off a great day.

Solved the puzzle a week ago (well hoped I had). Put it to the test this evening. Never been to Duders as the sun was setting. The bird life was amazing. Fortunately Mr B thought to bring a torch along. Very pleased with myself that I had solved the puzzle correctly. Thanks for the walk, very pleasant.
The trail to GZ was a pleasant change from the bright and baked tracks even though we picked a perfect day for a tramp - overcast and with a nice breeze. Enjoyed the puzzle and the nice big cache container. PINO TFTC
There have been a couple of caches out Duder way that have caught my eye from time to time but now that a couple more have turned up I was up out of bed early to try and miss the early morning traffic from the Shore.
I had solved this one quite a while ago so I was glad to be able to sign this one off.
Cheers for the cache.

This solution to this one has been sitting in the solved pile since the day it was published. Finally, made it back out here today, enjoying the first day of daylight savings with stretch.kerr and kids. Cache was found quickly and in a nicely hidden spot. TFTP&C!
A very quick solve, but only today found the motivation to explore this park. Very glad we decided to come out here, as it was an excellent start to daylight savings season. Tftc. Dropped 4 tb's.
This has been in the solved list since publication and it was great to visit an area we had not been to before and finally collect it. Lovely walk to GZ and beyond. TFTC
Nice simple puzzle for an enjoyable excuse for a drive and a walk. Not many people out enjoying the park in the wind today though. T4TC
9293… As predicted… a quick easy solve, read and decoded the answers straight off the cache page. Nice location for the cache, thanks mattandjax for bringing us here.
We had joined FMZ on a FTF mission in the area. On the way to GZ for another cache 'MAR' started to work on this puzzle as it seemed dumb not to have an attempt while in the area. We had arrived at the parking area and MAR was still working on the puzzle. The pressure was on...she had about half an hour to solve this and to send ROS a txt by the time we had found the other cache. We had just left the vehicle when the coordinates were sent through. Did a detour on the way back to the car and made a quick find. TFTC and a great puzzle that we were able to solve.
#519, went wrong way first ended up wrong side of stream, had to double back, cache was soon spotted as we approached GZ. TFTC
Got the call up for an FTF mission out this way from Lostcourse, so since we were in the region, it would be rude not to right? A lovely walk in the moonlight with some nice views, and then a short walk down into the bush for the cache, which was quickly located. On the way we discussed how we had each solved the puzzle and it turned out we had solved it by very different methods, but I won't say anymore on that. Quick find at GZ - that container with that paint job seems somewhat familiar... Have we seen it before somewhere? Anyway, another joint FTF for team FLMCZ but after turning the first geochecker tick into the first find, we totally forgot to take the FTF prize pin. FTF #1119 TFTC!!!
you probably have seen the container or some very similar...we won it at Tramper teds xmas doo! well done on FTF..we were beginning to wonder if it would ever get found
I was sitting at my work desk, having finally finished for the day, browsing the recently published caches. I noted a few that hadn't yet been found and that FMZ was online presently. Unfound caches and FMZ...surely there is a connection here I thought, as my brain whirled into action...FTFs of course!
I had solved this puzzle earlier in the day. It was pretty clear to me the basis of this puzzle so I made a quick solve. As we walked to GZ we had the most odd conversation about this puzzle--we weren't sure if we were even talking about the same puzzle--but then we realised we had just gone about the solution from alternative angles.
Nice quick find of the well hidden cache at GZ. I completely forgot about the FTF pin! But I blame FMZ, as he took the cache to look through, for anything interesting. Oh well, it doesn't matter. A great night time walk was had. FTF number 32 for me. Cheers for the puzzle!
