Before being joined by all of Davinells, Snickersallan & E_Smiley for a couple of nights at Queen Mary Falls I got to spend the day in Warwick hunting the new caches, a couple of archived caches and anything else that I stepped over (read: made a huge detour to find)…
I told Dunmowin we’d catch up for coffee after I’d visited Leslie Dam… there are just so many shiny things to stop and look at I’m running a little behind time…
Again, with little info other than a general consensus that the coords were out, I took an educated guess that the cache was at some point on the sign… no luck there, but I did find their key safe…
I also investigated the chainlink fence, but without success…

Headed to Warwick for a refuel and something to eat and to visit this cache as the last after completing the trail around Whitstone.
It was dark when we pulled up to this cache, so out with the torch and geopartner made the find and we added our names to the log.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks THE CASHE HUNTERS All good with this archived cache

Out and about on a mission with dahumbug, finding a cache here and there. We parked Spangle and then head for GZ... Hmmm, using geosense, it wasn't long until we had the cache in hand. Signed the log and then replaced the cache as we had found it.

Cache # 2612, Found @1:20:00 PM.
Conflicting info between the smart phone and my gps on this one. looks like my GPX file is over a week old. It seems a lot of caches in town by the Cashe Hunters have been disabled in the past week.
Still, I had the coords, why not have a look.
yep, its still there.
Thanks to THE CASHE HUNTERS for the cache

Found this one with Aussie Liahona helping them find a few they had missed from a previous trip. Was a bit of a reach to get while trying not to stand in the mud puddle too much. TFTC
Wanted to drive a loop out of Warwick before heading back to the Gold Coast. Haven't had the time on previous visits to come out this way so here we are today. Found the cache nice and easily and thanks to the Cashe Hunters for this one to bring us out this way.

Our Wild Weekend in Warwick.
We are going to be camped nearby and setout to conquer some of the Power Trails out this way.
Trying to better some of personal bests.
This cache was our 2nd find of the weekend
Found nowhere near the co ords and this was our second attempt, the GPS sent us to the same place as last time before I went I know it isn't there, crossed the road and made a quick find.
We took nothing but memories, we left nothing but footprints.
The hide, the container and the log are all in good condition and ready for the next cacher.
Thanks for the cache THE CASHE HUNTERS

What a great country pub and so close to Warwick. Track looked like fun as well but our combo would not fit.
Day 3 of a Numbers Run in Stanthorpe with Gunnie69 & Ghostgums
Power trails are again our target today as we drift slowly homeward
well plenty of action adjacent GZ as kart meeting was i full swing when we arrived
i jumped out for a bit of a recon mission and spotted cache straight away.
making a subtle grab I soon had log signed and all replaced un-noticed (just a matter of watching position of karts on track for where spectator attention was)
We headed off all within 2 minutes

We made the trek out to GZ and discovered the place a little busier than we hoped, but sometimes that's not a bad thing, and as Gunnie69 provided cover and gave watch, while Kaisho53 went in for a quick retrieval.

Racing was in full swing when I arrived at GZ with Kaisho53 and Ghostgums. There were cars parked adjacent to where we had pulled up, but they were empty and provided excellent cover from the sports lovers on the other side of the fence... [^]
We knew where the container would likely be so Kaisho53 jumped out for a recon mission. Aha, he's squatted down and looks to be busy, guess he has the container... On return, his nod gave the situation away and we moved on before anyone approached wondering what we were up to...
Cheers Cashe Hunters.

Wondered what would be out this road to see, then low and behold a great go cart track.TFTC.CASHE HUNTERS.
Found while attending Christmas in June Stanthorpe 2013 and also travelling through the Granite Belt Country, Great Cache. TFTC
Found the little fella without much trouble than slipped down the road for a couple of brown sandwiches before continuing onto Leslie dam for a weekends fishin.

Found on a rather wet weekend.. GZ was rather saturated ending in one wet foot.. And the added bonus of a wasps nest.. TFTC
Found with stairman1. This was our last one for the night. After a slight detour we arrived at the gate. Stairman1 grabbed this one, signed the log then hid it a little better. TFTC.
Quickly spotted near GZ. Looks like the area has not been used for a while.

One of 225 finds during a Brisbane and back drive. Went to Brisbane for 5 days with my family flying up and back while I drove with a car load of stuff for our working holiday. Well a holiday for me and my boys while Leanne had a wedding expo to attend, but we did manage to get to Sea World for a day, where we had a great time, before they flew back.
After some caching in Melbourne it was on to Tocumwal for the night then two more days to Brisbane. Five days there then the same trip back but in reverse. A total of 4516 km travelled with 225 caches found and even a couple of interstate FTFs along the way. The trip turned out to be a trial run almost for a Solar eclipse / Cairns trip I'm doing in November.
After caching in Melbourne I made my way to Tocumawal where I stayed the night then made my way just south of Goondiwindi, crashed in the car at a truckstop. Up at about 8:00 the next morning and soon hit the road again to make my way to the Gold Coast via Warwick.
A nice quick find once I worked out the coords must be off a little. Love the carts too. TFTC.

On my way to Stanthorpe for a caching week-end and grabbed this one on my way south.
No one there today so I had plenty of time to search for this one. Not that I needed it.
Thanks for the cache.

Out and about with teamdfl for 2 crazy days of hunting
Co-ords were slightly off, but we knew where to look. I wished the venue had been open as I love riding these machines An easy find, followed by a cold drink at the local watering hole. TFTC, THE CASHE HUNTERS.

Out with IolantheK on a mission to Warwick today. Co-ords were a bit off, but it was fairly obvious where it would be. Stopped at the nearby pub for refreshment before starting the scenic route home to Brissy
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
After a quick overnight dash out to clear some of the new series at Stanthorpe we headed back through Warwick to grab a few new ones. We pulled up next to GZ and Kab spotted the cache but could not reach it lucky Captain Terror was ready to help out.

This was the next cache I did with Captain Terror while in the area. Not a soul to be seen today - thankfully. I zipped out and found the cache safe and sound.
My father used to race karts - untill he had the unfortunate experience of rolling a kart (yes it can be done!) They can be powerful little beasts.

I headed to this one to clear up Warwick on my way north after a camping trip and it was an enjoyable drive after I left the town. I'm sure the sprint route would be fun, but according to the sign I need a kit car, not my Corolla to do it As I arrived at GZ, a cacher's nightmare was well underway. Being a Saturday some sort of karting competition was on and there were cars parked everywhere up and down the road. People were all over, but at least there were karts whipping around to watch as I hunted. I parked and walked about 200m back to the cache. Here my troubles started. The GPS wanted to play the bouncy game, muggles wanted to be around and the cache wanted to not be found. Let's just say I spent about 20 minutes here looking for the cache and trying to not look suspicious. I did get nervous when the boys in blue arrived, but disappeared inside. Eventually I looked at a spot I'd looked at several times, but this time from a different angle and mercifully saw the beast. Out came the log and I added my name as the final race for the day ended. Holy muggles waves! I picked my time and rehid and got out of there. Gee, sure worked for that smiley today. A good little challenge, TFTC Cashe Hunters
This find is my number 2000 GC find. Edit. Going to give this a favourite point. Nothing special about this cache and hide but it is a milestone cache for me.
Quick find at 1010. Arrived at spot close to GZ and went straight to the obvious spot. Got wet feet as I stood in a puddle. Another Nano. Signed log YOF as this is the signature I use on this size log. I will not complain about a Nano cache as I hide them and also have a log rewinder tool and a tool kit for retrieving the log. I also carry spares with me to replace muggled or lost Nanos. Rain heavier on this search.
Light rain when I left home and still raining lightly when I got home at 1600. Drizzled the whole caching day.
Left home (Nanango) at 0430 this morning with a plan. Go to Dalby then down to Cecil Plains then onto Millmerran then to Toowoomba to be there for hospital visiting hours. I needed to be there some time between 1100 and 1200 so I could spend at least an hour with my mum.
Arrived at Millmerran and noted I had heaps of time up my sleeve so I tunred on the I Pad and went down to inglewood and then to Warwick. My tour of Warwick was cut short as my time line was getting very tight.

She was driving me crazy too. My GPS was taking me. In the middle of the road. I was looking and feel at the most obvious place but nothing. I even thought her name was Sandy and she had the little bugger hidden. No such luck. I had to use a life line and that revealed the sneak. TFTC THE CACHE HUNTER V
The co-ordinants seemed out on this cache. But it was found in the obvious location.
