This weekend it’s all about Lincoln Bomber…
Before being joined by all of Davinells, Snickersallan & E_Smiley for a couple of nights at Queen Mary Falls I got to spend the day in Warwick hunting the new caches, a couple of archived caches and anything else that I stepped over (read: made a huge detour)…
I believe I found the attachment point, but with limited info I can’t be entirely sure… there is evidence that a substantial amount of water has been through here at some time…

Another one on the archived list and the last one for us as we head back to north of Brisbane.
We managed 24 finds today out of 25 with one DNF coming over the ranges.
This one we managed to make the hardest of all.
After one half an hour of search we still could not find the cache.
We went back and looked at the description sheet again hoping to glean some light from it.
Back to the search and geopartner said that's it I have finished and its not here.
I said I will have one more search and then we will go home.
I scanned the area with the torch and found what I was looking for.
Managed to make my mark between others.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks THE CASHE HUNTERS All good with this archived cache

Found this little nano no worries. Log was full, but put a scratch on it somewhere there.

I was passing through the area on my way to a FTF and thought I would stop and check on a few archived caches. This one is still available and in good condition, even though the log is full. I signed the log and then replaced the cache as I had found it.

I was on my way home... very slowly... with Captain Terror. We stopped in to Warwick to grab a few caches on the way. Captain Terror parked his car and I jumped out to start searching. We pulled over at this cache and spotted another car. Hmmmm Crew 153?
We headed over to GZ and Mr 153 shouted out to go around a different way to stay out of the mud. The Captain had already found this cache but couldn't remember exactly where it was. I jumped into search mode and soon had the cache in my hands. I pointed it out to the guys and grabbed the container. I signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for the cache The cashe hunters.

After parking the car I carefully headed through the waist high scotch thistles and started searching. After 10 minutes I still hadn't fond the cache when I looked up to see Net88 and Captain Terror approaching.
Of course Net88 found it within 30 seconds. I'm glad she did because I still couldn't see it when she pointed it out to me.

Day 3 of a Numbers Run in Stanthorpe with Gunnie69 & Ghostgums
Power trails are again our target today as we drift slowly homeward
This proved on of the trickiest caches of the weekend yet when we found it we realised maybe we over thought it a bit
Hmmmm GPs took a bit to truly settle in here but eventually i made the find.
Log was soon signed and we headed off to finish clearing Warwick

Well this one turned to be the trickiest find for the weekend, and after many a minute searching, Kaisho53 managed to locate it for the ritual signing of the log!

I thought I knew what to look for at this one, having found #1 of the same name... Hunting with Kaisho53 and Ghostgums, I explained what the cache might look like and we got stuck in to the hunt. A looooong time later, we were still empty handed and it was becoming quite clear that I was off the mark...
A shift in focus and a more stringent systematic search, the sneaky little container was located and there were many sighs of relief... [^] Our names were etched in the log and the cache tucked back into its lair.. A sneaky spot indeed, but very well placed...
Cheers Cashe Hunters.

Found this cache at 11:30am while in town doing some caching before we head home to the Southern Highlands NSW.
Looked high and low, around that corner and back again. Feeling every nook and cranny.
Mr Bushy has headed back to ego mobile so I thought just give it one more try as I was leaving. Yah found it, even thought it was covered in mud. Log is getting full.
Thanks the Cashe Hinters for the hide.

Read the last logs when I arrived at GZ an then despaired, so I probably didn't spend enough time here. Hard to know though, last find in January and evidence of water through.
I went to railroaded #1 after stopping here and found it quickly. Makes me wonder if I was fair to this location. So, no DNF yet, I'll be back.

Bloody ManGecko. I'm still walking around in circles when Mr Smartypants says 'got it' TFTH
Found with stairman1 while heading to our camping spot. These nanos are tricky little suckers. I let stairman1 sign it then place it back. TFTC.
Took a little to track this one down. A little harder for us this evening in the fading light.

Went round and round and up and down looking for this one. 'It's over there ' so went over there. 'No, back there' so I went back there. The gps had me all over the place. Gave the whole area a pretty thorough looking over (and under) but no joy. I've decided I don't like micro caches very much, particularly where the gps doesn't settle down. Thanks for the look, anyway.
On our way to Toowoomba after spending a few days in Stanthorpe and this was on our to do list. Quick find which was lucky, didn't realise it was a nano until we were here!! Coords were about 6m from cache.

This was the 3rd cache find in our caching run today at 10:36.
(So this is our 5223rd total find.)
Encouraging people to find nano caches should be banned. I believe that they are a scurge on geocaching society. Surely there is a spot here for a more worthwhile cache.!!
Took: Nothing

One of 225 finds during a Brisbane and back drive. Went to Brisbane for 5 days with my family flying up and back while I drove with a car load of stuff for our working holiday. Well a holiday for me and my boys while Leanne had a wedding expo to attend, but we did manage to get to Sea World for a day, where we had a great time, before they flew back.
After some caching in Melbourne it was on to Tocumwal for the night then two more days to Brisbane. Five days there then the same trip back but in reverse. A total of 4516 km travelled with 225 caches found and even a couple of interstate FTFs along the way. The trip turned out to be a trial run almost for a Solar eclipse / Cairns trip I'm doing in November.
After caching in Melbourne I made my way to Tocumawal where I stayed the night then made my way just south of Goondiwindi, crashed in the car at a truckstop. Up at about 8:00 the next morning and soon hit the road again to make my way to the Gold Coast via Warwick. Found a place to stay then headed out to do the GCPT series which was only about a kilometer from where I was staying. Off to Brisbane the next day to stay five days with the familay, cache with the kids and tackle the monster series in Sandgate when I had the time.
After a great time in Brisbane it was time to head back home with the fam flying and me driving. I had a scattered number of caches to collect on the way home with a couple of hundred kilometres between some of them. Cached Warwick along the way, got a FTF out of Moree then made it almost to Coonabarrabran for the night.
Another great old bridge to explore. Rail Roaded didn't take me too long to find but a good 15 minute search was needed before I finally located the cache. I nearly gave up but was pretty determined in the end.
Sneaky but nice.
Thanks for the hide.

In Warwick for a funeral with the oldies and grabing the odd cache while I'm here.
GPS is going again and I know where it should be but do you thing it will come to me. Round and round and round I go and finally bingo, sometimes even the "easy finds" can be time consuming.

Fourth one of these little fellas I've found today. My eyes are starting to hurt.
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
We made our way here today in the compnay of some previous finders and after watching us suffer a bit they helped out with a gentle nudge as to the location of the cache.

Out and about for a BIG day caching with my sister (doscrapbooking) and caching buddy ( IolantheK).
I found the first one in the series awhile ago so now for the second. This took us a little while as we kept looking in holes and corners and other crevices.
Thanks for the cache.

I was happy to be reattempting this one so soon and stoked to have an extra set of eyes for the hunt. Fangsoki and I parked nearby and walked to GZ. Again I had the same thistle as my GZ, which matched what Fangsoki got. So onto the hunt. We looked high and low, here and there. Discussing thoughts about the hide. It took us a fair bit of time and mercifully Fangsoki spotted the tiny beast. The co-ords were a smidge out and it has me floored how anyone found this in the first place they put their hand. Oh well, glad to have it ticked off. TFTC Cashe Hunters.
This one had eluded Captain Terror last time - so it was time for a fresh set of eyes - and I decided to join him for the hunt.
We both got the same thistle as GZ. But no cache nearby. We spread out and started the hunt. Finally, I came up with the well-hidden prize. It was in good condition. I have posted the co-ordinates that worked for me today up.
An interesting look at an old bridge. TFTC THE CASHE HUNTERS

Not too much I can say for myself here. After parking up a side street I set about the hunt.. for 30 odd minutes. The GPS was sure of itself. I expanded my search radius repetitively and recalled previous hides by the cache owners.. but alas, no cache. Had me stumped for sure. Next time..
A short drive out of town but quickly found by geokid (4yo) VERY muddy around this GZ (we spent more time getting the mud off our shoes than finding the cache) TFTC
For this hunt we trusted our GPS and we were lucky that the first place we placed our hand, the cache was revealed. This was a combination of accurate coordinates and caching instinct. TFTC The Cashe Hunters.
The coords. looked as if they could be spot on but we looked high and low without success. We then widened the search and it was soon in hand. TFTC.
Found at 1040 ish. Arrived at spot close to GZ and noticed another car parked nerarby and a cacher walking towards the far side of the bridge. Had to be a cacher as I saw the GPSr in his hand. Introduced myself to them and they actually found the little nano. Had rained enough for the black soil to add two or three inches to our shoes. Had a good day as this is now my 2001st GC Cache.
Great to meet you both.
Another Nano. Signed log YOF as this is the signature I use on this size log. I will not complain about a Nano cache as I hide them and also have a log rewinder tool and a tool kit for retrieving the log. I also carry spares with me to replace muggled or lost Nanos. Rain heavier on this search.
Light rain when I left home and still raining lightly when I got home at 1600. Drizzled the whole caching day.
Left home (Nanango) at 0430 this morning with a plan. Go to Dalby then down to Cecil Plains then onto Millmerran then to Toowoomba to be there for hospital visiting hours. I needed to be there some time between 1100 and 1200 so I could spend at least an hour with my mum.
Arrived at Millmerran and noted I had heaps of time up my sleeve so I tunred on the I Pad and went down to inglewood and then to Warwick. My tour of Warwick was cut short as my time line was getting very tight. Last cache for the day as i must head to toowoomba. Will be back in Warwick in a few weeks to get the rest.
