First cache of the series!

14-Jul-23
Another quick find here. Replaced the zip lock bag as it is torn. Although, the cache is a super tight sealed container, so log should be nice and protected from the rain. Completed the first half of the CCC series today. I will be back again to complete the second half of this series. TFTC

04-Jul-23
Found after a nice walk a bout the bush getting a couple of other caches. It was a quick find here. Now time to head off back to the cars and home. We’ve pushed our dry luck far enough so we will have to return for the others another day. Thanks for the hide here.

After grabbing some of the other caches nearby and enjoying the walk through the area we started back for the car before the heavens opened up. We couldn’t go past this one without stopping to put a smiley on it. We spotted the cache as we arrived and soon had our names added to your log. TFTC Allied Pranksters Crew.

TFTC - in good condition. Cheers Team Ando

19-Apr-23
After the old cache at the top of the hill we figured the CCC would be an easier out leg and with a few caches along the way. Some easier that others. Interesting but of engineering but has a lot of silt in sections so suspected it needed regular cleaning. TFTC

Nice sturdy container. TFTC

I've been eyeing this series off for a while and decided I'd start it today. After parking at Milleara road, I found the pipe exposed shortly after starting and following it takes you across a nice hidden creek. I walked next to the channel and crossed over to find this cache, TFTC!

Container missing lid and sun damaged

24-Oct-18
Next visitor please bring a new container as the one here is broken (no lid). Unfortunately we did not have a spare container with us. The old logbook was waterlogged so we left a new one in a new plastic bag under the original container (up side down ) and placed a few rocks on top. Hopefully this remains dry.

Cache container damaged, NEEDS REPLACING. We replaced the log paper which was wet & muddy.

We have't been caching for a few weeks and with the weather so nice we decided to get out and make a start on this series. As the weather is warming up (finally) we will have to retreat out of the bush and restrict caching to urban areas over the summer. Nice quick find first up. log a little damp but still managed to SL TFTC

Found cache but couldn't sign log as it was soaked, please replace.

13-Aug-16
Found AP 201 C=C=C 01. This is the first cache of the C=C=C series I did today. Log sheet was wet and not possible to write on. I’ve added a dry log sheet to sign and placed the rusted key chain (that caused the inside of the cache to be stained with rust) out from the cache. I’ve found 18 C=C=C series caches under the custodian of Barnzy12. That deserve two favourite points and the 1st favourite point goes to this cache. TNLN TFTH Barnzy12.

1st section of our caching adventure (team Krabiboy, fratra and me) and the 27th find for the day. Good to be halfway through the series...time for a lunchbreak. TFTC

tra logging coz fra is exhausted from his big day out with KrabiBoy and bigTcup while i was working and I also believed this was beyond my capabilities lol. Great day was had with 16kms and 20,000 steps clocked up. Thanks to all involved in placing and maintaining this series. Apologies for the c & p log.

27th find of the day here. First half completed and time for lunch.

18-Apr-16
I've been wanting to do this series for a long time, and after seeing some photos on the facebook page, decided to make it happen.

I teamed up with fratra and bigTcup to come and grab our smilies. We parked three cars along the way to make things easier and set off from #23.

Good to have reached halfway.

TFTC Barnzy12.

This is my find #2504 and find #27 today.

08-Apr-16
SpatialRiq, Jinta29 and I made plans to tackle this series before the rumors we hard came true that it maybe archived (1 year later logging them it turned out not to happen)

I don’t know what I was really expecting but it was not the variety of terrain and how long the day was from start to finish.

Walking the pipe covered all results, from completely clear and low to the ground to so high up a fall may hurt or at least put you on the ground with no way back up, overgrown drains that saw us on our knees crawling (well me anyway) to walking on the edge of steep slopes as the bush was too thick to push through.

Verdict: Freaking amazing! What a blast !

Forgive the generic log, I have since lost any trail notes that I did take as it is now just under a year ago (359 days) since I had the adventure.

Organised to tackle this series a few weeks back with Jinta29 and AlliedOz, so with much excitement we met up around 7:30am and got underway.

Did #23 to #1 plus several nearby caches, then after lunch headed South picking up a couple in Roleystone then did the remaining #29 to #40.

Great weather, great company and truly a great series that has it all. Stunning views, some challenging terrain and we learn a bit of history. Yet another part of Perth that, if it weren't for geocaching, I would have never know about or seen.

28th find of the day. Ended up with 52 finds all up. TFTC.

Hi there Allied Pranksters - We found AP 201 C=C=C 01 today - our find # 3659. I have been waiting for a cooler day to come this way and today was forecast for 30 degrees, so I decided to come and play. The cache was found quickly and the container and log are both in good condition. SL. Thanks to Allied Pranksters for the cache.

I didn't find this one in the obvious spot, but out in the open about 1 metre away. It didn't look like it belonged there, so I put it back in the obvious place and gave it a little bit of coverage, I hope this is okay.

Thanks for the cache Allied Pranksters!

A lovely morning for a walk in the hills. I did a couple of this series last year and am back to grab a few more. The first one in the series and time to turn around and head back after another quick find. I'm not sure if this one was in the right spot, it seemed to be a little too far out in the open.

Came up this way to pick up the nearby 'Shadow' for my 900th find and decided to see if could track down a couple of other caches in the area.

I was about to head back down the hill after finding 'Ants Neville' and noticed that this one wasn't too far away. The C=C=C series has been on the to do list for a while so decided to see if I could grab one of them while in the area.

Found a little track that seemed to head in the right direction and came across the channel a short time later. I stood there for a few moments considering whether to hop down or not, I wasn't sure if the geodog Charli would be able to get herself out. She then went past me and jumped in herself.

We made the short trek back to the cache and I realised Charli wasn't the one I should be worrying about getting out of the channel. Took a couple of goes but had the brand new log book in my hand soon enough.

Got my geo boy and a friend together and headed to the start of this great series after months of longing to... So glad we did and the views are amazing. I encourage anyone thinking about this to just do it and you will enjoy and love it as much as us, can't wait to get back up there and find some more.
This cache was soaked through and filled with water, we dried it out and put it in the sun for a while, tftc.

Finally we get to the end ... or the start if you like Wink. Mr OOH YEH was again the one to grab this first .. he's had a great day in that aspect Smile
To say i was thrilled to get an invite to this days' adventure would be an understatement, so it was with great enthusiasm that i joined forces with Mr OOH YEH & Kyzabra on what would be a most challenging day out in the hills
Thanks to a very generous CO, we were chauffeured to, in between, and from the series ... complete with interesting history lessons of the pipeline on the way. The day was cool without being cold, cloud free, and the night preceding had yielded very little dew .. very handy for our pipe walking mission today.
There were plenty of scratches to be had by those of us who stupidly wore t-shirts and light duty hiking pants [:o)] ... but nothing that won't heal. Our feet felt like dropping of after our 17ish km hike, and our legs were burning. All in all, we had a fantastic day .. even i did fall from the pipe after slipping on a tiny bit of mud left from someone ahead of me. It wouldn't have been so bad if i hadn't desperately grabbed the only piece of blackberry bush that was laying across the pipe as i went down Sad
Thanks again Allied Pranksters for a most adventurous, and challenging day ... it's one i won't forget in a long time [^]. I would definitely recommend the c=c=c's to anyone looking for a series with a difference ... you won't be sorry Big Grin

This trip had been on the radar for some time.
Ooh-Yeh and and I had a false start a few months ago when the weather was against us. Now there was Jasenjanine, Ooh-Yeh, and myself set to make the journey.
The weather was "PERFECT" Smile, and I mean ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. No rain for a couple of days. The meant for dry scrub, and dry pipe. And a pefect strike rate for our finds today
We headed off at 7.20 in the morning, and started at number 40.
Many yarns and stories shared along the way with only one minor spill on the pipe.
A fantsastic day out which I strongly reccomend to all.
We were fortunate enough to have the CO drop us at the start, and run us between the middle section. Thanks so much for this.
So we are now at the end, or the beginning, whichever way you look at it !!!

Have had a great time on this series, and another fav point for you Pranksters..

Thanks for a fantastic series Allied Pranksters,

Kyzabra and I had made a plan last September 2013 to tackle this series and at that time the heavens had opened up and dumped its load so it was then into recon mode to scope out how to tackle this one and grab a few close ones while waiting for the rain to stop .
We then spoke to the CO who kindly offered to pick us up drop us of at the given points just needed our dates to line up .
Well today was our day and the team was put together Kyzabra , Jasenjanine and myself (see photo's) armed with all the necessary requirements for a full day out the weather was at its best not a cloud in the sky .We arrived at the CO house early who kindly dropped us off at the starting point and collect us at the next point which was great as there is no real parking close by.
The views are incredible with the day being so perfect which made up for all the prickle bushes ,scratches and sore limbs that was accrued though out the day
We walked on top of the pipe and in the col-vent the whole way, only one slip on the pipe by Jase whilst trying to grab something on his way down was a blackberry bush all I can say was OUCH but alas no injury .
Many stories were told as we made away along the pipe and the caches were come up very quick just needed the time to find them some were quick a couple had us scratching our heads as three GPS's would not settle and giving out mixed readings but in the end all were found log signed and maintenance completed .
Thanks for the series AP
and a fav point for the experience

So I thought that today would be the perfect day to tackle the C=C=C 01-23 series of caches with fine weather forecast. But this day had everything - completely clear skies, full sun and then dark clouds followed by torrential showers! But I didn't think that rain was forecast? This was a great adventure. I saw scores of kangaroos, a gazillion biting ants, many beautiful butterflies, one dugite snake, one bobtail lizard and one freshly dead dog. The bush is super thick right now making it very hard to trek along some parts. Miraculously, I managed to find 23 out of 23 of this series that I attempted! Looking forward to returning to Roleystone to continue the journey soon. TFTC Allied Pranksters

Been thinking about doing the C-C-C series for a while and thought it would be good to do it with dad (froggy1948) since he had worked on this channel back in his hey day.

We parked near #1 and headed towards Canning Mills road collecting the caches as we went for our first section. It was a nice clear cool day and the views of the city at the start are great. Flowers are out in full at this time of year. Got some nice stories from dad about the channel as we went too. Found dad's first evidence of work on the channel near cache #6 (didn't find that cache today tho!). Forgot to take a pic of it too, so will be back to find #6 and take a photo Wink We made it to Canning Mills road 2.5 hours later with cache #13 in hand and glad to finish that section of the trek.

With a little bit of energy left in us we thought we can do another section and take advantage of a cool day. We drove to Contour Rd and headed towards Canning Mills again. Boy did this second section take some work. When AP mentioned "If you like thick bush, steep hills, balancing on a pipe, great views, ... , ants that attack if you stand still" then this is the bit he was talking about. Cache 23 to 20 is very hilly, Between Cache 20 and 16 we were covered in ants. and many times you have to fight the over grown prickly bush trying to stick to some kind of path. By the time we got to #14 near Canning Mills we were stuffed.

Thouroughly enjoyed today's outing and looking forward to the next lot closer to Canning Dam. A great effort AP for putting these caches out.

This geocaching caper never fails to amaze me, the more caches I find the more places I go to that I've previously never been and this series is just another example. Saw the series on the Iphone when nearby and decided to give some of it a shot with the couple of hours I had to spare this afternoon. Let's start at 01.

After what would have been a 100% successful deviation to grab a few other caches prior to recommencing the CCC series had I not decided to deviate from the original plan to grab some more, I eventually arrived here and made a quick find. The cache was completely exposed, so I put bit of bark over it for the benefit of the next cacher. SL. TNLN. TFTH Allied Pranksters.

Finally had a chance to tackle the first leg of this series today after looking at it longingly for months but being unwilling to go by myself. I'm in awe of the work which must have gone into creating this series. I brought along two geo-newbies, they signed the logs in preparation for registering tonight.

We started with this cache but made it harder than it needed to be by taking the track from the arrester bed instead of the one just a little further downhill. Once arriving at GZ though we had the cache in hand quickly. The gorgeous views started almost straight away and we saw the first of many roos for the day.

Teamed up with Mr ILuvTrekking and Mr Richlink for another geocaching day. Mrs ILuvTrekking and Mrs Richlink dropped us off at the beginning of the series. The view from the hills were fantastic and we had prefect whether to conquer this series- not too hot and plenty of challenges along the way. Some of the floral was starting to bloom and we enjoyed the colours of the flowers.

I had a few spills and falls along the way that had me breathless at times and a few war wounds to share with others.

I throughly enjoyed myself! Thank you Mr. Richlink and MR. ILuvTrekking for this another great Geo caching day and thank you Allied Prankster for the great series.

23-Sep-12
Mrs iluvtrekking and I transported our two men and Mr Jacobscrew to the starting point of the series at 0830. We had arranged to meet them after they completed #23 to join them for lunch and to top up their water and snack supplies for the remainder of the trek. The series started off easily enough for the first half dozen caches then gradually the terrain increased in difficulty requiring the negotiating of the pipeline itself, while clambering over trees that had fallen across the pipeline and the concrete supports.
At #19 while two of the cachers were at ground level they came in contact with a very nervous dugite, with the third cacher scrambling out of its way by climbing the nearest tree! Back on the pipeline the guys had thoughts of boots with magnets in the soles coming in handy and wondering if these were going to be the next addtion to the caching gear. Well the magnetic boots would have come in handy to save Mr Jacobscew losing his footing and slipping from the pipeline at #22. iluvtrekking and richlink watched aghast and expected the worst but were relieved to see him land on his back with his backpack as protection, between two large rocks instead of splayed across them. After getting his breathe back, shaking off the bruised hip and wrenched ankle, it was back to the rest of the series. After replenishing their reserves with a well earned lunch break the three were determined to continue the series and knocked back our offer of a ride to #24. Although they thought they were past the worst of the terrain they were to later realise there was much more in store for them. A very pleasant surprise was picking up a joint FTF at #33 which gave them the incentive to surge onward to complete the final 7 caches in the series. Not one DNF!!
The guys did a fabulous job of completing all 40 caches in extreme terrain within 9 hours and they have no doubt it was their combined team work that got them through.
Thanks Allied Pranksters for another excellent series, apologies for the repeated log. Now, what have you got for them next?!!

23-Sep-12
Mr iluvtrekking joined forces with Mr richlink and Mr JacobsCrew to conquer this wonderful series. It was not without incident and excitement but they completed the entire series without a DNF or serious injury, although Mr JacobsCrew may take issue with that. Thanks Allied Prankters, a great series, the men will be talking about this day for a long time to come.

Out today with the Geoson and introducing two friends to Geocaching. Loved this series and recommend doing the walk. Just make sure you have good shoes, long strides, and plenty of water.... Watch the ants in a few spots, they attack in the millions... We started from Mills Rd East and headed to Roleystone, The last part was the hardest with the legs starting to slow up a bit..... Thanks very much for the series, great to enjoy a bit of history...

Out and about with Keego hunting C=C=C and Birds. Not wishing to jump in at the deep end I started with the easier ones I hope. Followed the track alongside the contour channel from 01 to 05 and made deviation to grab the caches. From 05 to 06 it was downhill in a big way but there was a nice big pipe to walk on. Took little steps as the morning dew was still on the pipe and we did not want to take a swan dive into the rocks and bush. After finding 06 and with no more time available we started back up the pipe to the track.

Most enjoyable morning walk we Keego in our beautiful Darling Range.

Needed some fresh air and sunshine and wanted to get my heart rate up a bit - this looked like the perfect series! Blob was keen to be my companion for the day. 23 to 1 was all I was keen to tackle in my current condition. We dropped my car at the Mills Rd truck arrester bed and my brother kindly gave us a lift to Contour Rd.

THE LAST FOR THE DAY. This was a great (half) series thank you.
Blob and I both smashed our previous 'caches in one day' records.

I wasnt able to walk when I dropped blob at home. Neither was I able to stand at the party I went to last night, but the pain was totally worth it for the memories of pipe walking, awesome views and nice dose of Vitamin D and fresh air that I now have.

Really looking forward to getting back the energy up to tackle 40-24. ...Maybe we will leave the dog behind next time.

We were keen to start this series when we seen it published but we had a few to finish off first, anyway we came out today to just have a little walk and sus it out, its going to be great we can just tell we only had time for a couple today, thanks for the effort and the history of the pipe.
