Logs
Slowly ceasing geocaching as one of the junior crew has lost interest and he was the one who placed this cache.
Came with the sole intention of finally getting a smilely face. Armed with a variety of tools - having previously been here and knowing what didn't work ! Unfortuately the inner case has been very badly damaged and no tool is needed as the lid has completely cracked, won't shut and is letting in the rain. To top it off it has turned into a home for a colony of ants and as a consequence of retrieving said cache, there was multiple fatalities along with maimed ,mutilated and now destitute ants, as they were flicked away into the grass jungle. Loved the idea, shame it has not been reported sooner that maintenance is urgently required. TFTC
The inner cache has been badly damaged and as a consequence the set up is not functioning. A colony of ants has taken up residence both inside the outer shell and inner holder. It is no longer water tight. Desperately needs TLC.
The container is a bit damaged but managed to extract just fine. Tftc emzyme and the doctor. .
I think I looked for this once before, and didn't have the tool. This time I still didn't have it, but you don't need it any more. But the container jams, and is getting destroyed by people hacking it out. TFTC.
After finding the nearby cache "The Rocket Park Pocket Rocket" we just had to get this one as it was so near by. So it was a shortish walk over toward GZ, but in order to do so we had to walk right past a flying fox. Well, you cannot just walk past a flying fox when LordCacher08 is around. A few quick zips down the line and it was then off again in search of the cache.
We started down the path towards GZ, but there was a problem, we were on the wrong side. Back up a bit and around we went. The GPS on the phone was jumping around a bit, so we started searching around the wrong tree. A few minutes were spent searching around this tree where we found the "other cache" which was the Sistema container that other people had mentioned in their logs.
A little more searching around this tree and we looked at the hint. We were not quite sure what this meant, but it was LordCacher08 who said let's try this, and low and behold, once we had the right tree, the cache was found within seconds. Ohh, this looks good. We knew we needed a tool having read the description and previous logs, did we have the right tool was the question. We thought we did, but it turned out that the way in which we used the tool, the logical and normal way, was not the way in which it was to be used. Up to this time, we had not noticed how to access the inner container when quite by accident we discovered it.
Then it became a matter of which tool do we need to extract the inner container. First of all we just tried to extract it digitally, but that didn't work without risk of damaging the inner container. Then it was back to our trust TOTT that we had tried before to help extract it. Success! The inner container is indeed in need of a little repair but is okay for now. I can see that digital extraction could indeed cause more damage. Anyway, the log was signed and the inner container replaced into the cache and covered up.

Saw the Ivy and thought oh no, but soon located the cache. Extraction was a bit of an issue but as the inner container was broken it made it slightly easier. Have not seen this type of hide before, clever.
Not sure what I'm looking for here - so much ivy covering the trees I couldn't see anything. Did find the camoed sistema that a previous cacher found too. So funny it's nothing to do with this cache as I'm not sure what else people would camo up a sistema container for.
After a 6am start, TNXPro, Davidsonclan and I have joined forces again to tackle Route 66 North of Auckland. This was my 19th cache today and it was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords and a good hint. I'm unsure what the initial process was but we were able to access the log without too much hassle. We also enjoyed the flying foxes so cheers dean-crew, TFTC.

While this was only a short walk from the Rocket Park, we wandered over to this. After we were sidetracked a little with the Flying Fox, we found the cache quickly but were a little tricked by what type of tool was required for this. Luckily, we had a TOTT in my pocket and it worked well.
Thanks for the interesting, but slightly confusing cache.
We enjoyed the park and the play on the flying foxes.

After meeting up the with boys at the rocket we made our way over here stopping for the flying fox on the way over. Tnxpro had a TOTT in his pocket which seemed to work well.

I think someone destroyed it, found ststema container black tape but nothing in it..
Returned with a couple of tools to try, one very unhelpful it turns out but the other one was what we needed and we were able to get our hands on it. Very clever. TFTC.
Popped by this one to recon what sort of tool or tools we might need to do this one. Found the contraption and have an idea about what would work. Will return another day to have a go.
we found the cache easily but takes a lot of time to get the box in our hands. tftc and greetings from germany.
This took awhile as I spent quite some time searching the wrong trees as my gps had me closer to them than where I found the cache. Then once found I thought I had the right tools on hand, got the first part open then struggled to retrieve the cache so I returned to the car to get some other tools. Eventually I managed to retrieve the log to sign! Nice one!
It took a while to get this one. First, started from the wrong tree. Then couldn't retrieve the logbook. But I likee this one. Very nice cache.
Thanks and greetings from Latvia!
This cache was my #1943 and was found at 09:09

Kiwiscot and Kiwi continuing geocaching after dropping Scotty at work. Stopped at Rocket Park for an ice cream and play on this fine day. Decided to check out the local caches whilst here. Found reasonably easy but unable to extract. Our bag is full of many types of tools but nothing that can help us here without doing damage. We will be back.
FITW harisree
Phew, good luck that harisree had the tool to lend to me. Otherwise I'd been pretty helpless here. And even with a tool, it is still tricky!
Thanks for the cache!

Out for a quick cache fix at lunch. This was an easy find, merely by coincidence, I had the right "Master" tool in my pocket, also an extraction tool. Had to duck down to avoid detection as a muggle pushed her pram along the pathway nearby while replacing the cache. TFTC

We had been here long before on a rainy night, but returned unsuccessfully thinking how come both the caches in this park are so easy to find, but hard to claim.Today, finally we got this one a special claim for our 200th.. for next attempters, a piece of advice.. please bring a mobile vaccum for this one. Very cool !! Nicely done. Had a few tools for the job in the geo - bag today so nice & easy. A Fav Point from us. Thanks
Out picking up caches with attributes needed for our ongoing attempt at completing the GIO Licence.
Once the GPS signal settled down, found the cache relatively quickly. No issues with extraction.

Awesome contraption, love the effort that goes into these caches. Used a tool but possibly not as intended.
Quick find this time! Ants have made it home and I was swarmed as I opened the cache!
Had found this previously but had to return with tools. Even then we did not have the ultimate tool this cache has been designed and built for. Not that it would have made a significant difference as the internals are separated. With some skill and dexterity we managed to recover it. The internals will require attending to.
It did not take us long to find the Contraption, despite searching in the dark. Got it open quickly enough, but it did take a little longer to extract the kinder egg and sign the log. Luckily we had a tool with us that would do the job. Nicely constructed contraption. Thanks.
Well we found this already but were so impressed that we had to come back to show M1. Thanks for the cool cache.
Great hide. Had some appropriate tools in the caching bag and soon had log in hand plenty of ants looking after the cache, R thought they were still eating the some kinder surprise chocolate TFTC.
Went to replace the kinder surprise, but broke the container, so need to get a replacement.
Was in area working and thought I would give this a bash. Left tools in truck in my haste, however these climbing fingers of mine came in very "handy". Fun hide, TFTC
Yep..... this was a contraption all right. Thank heavens we had some GC tools with us! Interesting. Thanks for setting it up!
Was driving home when I decided to stop and grab a cache or two. Read the description and figured I will give it a crack but as the geo bag was at home didn't have high hopes I would be able to retrieve with a phone a pen andba wallet. Got to GZ and you guessed it no tool no retrieval. But necessity is the mother of invention so off with the phone case and hey presto it "fits". Cache soon extracted and log signed. Kinder surprise is a bit rooted though.
Nice camo. Contraption in good order but the kinder surprise a bit worse for wear.
Nice construction on the interesting contraption, no problems extracting the log, many thanks.
Today I had to finish off some building work that I do as a job, so just happened to have the tools with me as such in my work vehicle, (I usually have the non-work car for geocaching) so out came the DeWalt, off with the caches head, what do I see inside? Not wetas or spiders as other cachers found but a huge pile of ants, cleaned that all up, signed the log. back in the car, off to the next one! Favourite from me for your cache design, well done.
Got a text from ipiphi as I was leaving work asking if I wanted to pop over to this one as she was in the area. Didn't take us too long, managed to grab it while we still had light. TFTC
Found it easy enough and lucky came prepared with the right kind of tool though using it would have been easier of I was a tad taller xD
TFTC!

A weta came out to greet me as I was accessing the log. Although it was just a baby it definitely seemed to view the contraption as its abode. Tftc
Found on way home from work on a drizzly morning. Luckly I had the right tool with me tftc
Great camo job lucky i had all the correct tools with me to successfully complete cache removal and sign log. Tftc
found it - rather my wife found it while taking the dog for a walk - very satisfying
Nice find with TuisReturn.
We enjoyed touring around the area from cache to cache.
Had required took in the car.

#625 GPS had me searching a few metres away initially but then I expanded my search area and spotted it. I carry a plethora of tools in my backpack and I was glad that that included the one needed to access this cache. What had me puzzled was the second part- that was much too easy. Perhaps the set up has been changed along the way? The kinder lid is looking worse for wear- could do with some maintenance before too long. Thanks for the clever cache!
After work I had time for one cache before it started raining. It was already getting dark so I used a torch to locate the contraption. That took a little longer than it should have done but then I had remembered to bring a tool with me so at least I could access the log without any problems. Nice contraption construction here. TFTC, Biggles.
Luckily I had a tool with that worked well on this contraption though the inner container didn't want to move.
Cheers for the cache.
Was pleased to come down a short path I knew of but had never walked down....! Very cool camo ! Would never have got into it without help from Ric and his trusty tool !!!!!!!!!!!!
Went looking for some caches after work this afternoon. Went around in circles for a couple of minutes before spotting the hide. Had the tool for the job on me. Nice to find something a little different. Cheers for the cache placement!
5.20pm yay. Found it. Great idea. Will have to make one of these myself. Great cache. Upon opening I found a white tail spider nesting so got rid of it and signed log. Tool in caching bag fortunately. Will add a favourite later.
After attending a GSAK skills day in the hall across the road, thought we'd stop by for a cache. Was going to do the owl cache but it wasn't there, so wandered across to this one. Saw some others who had just found it, together with their TOTT which they were kind enough to lend to us, thanks. TFTC
arrived early for the great skills day. so headed off to check this contraption out. well a no go as wrong TOOL in hand. so off to gsak skills day. After chatting to some nice cachers at gask, there tool required in hand we all headed back to claim a smilie for lunch. great camo. signed log and off back to class. even leant our tool to some other empty handed cachers on the way back. TFTFjust loved the contraption.
We were quite popular here today, being the owners of the previously mentioned tool.
What do cachers do in their lunch break? Go for the next cache of course.
With alsifs tool it couldn't resist. TFTC

Found the cache easily enough thanks to the hint and managed to open it and extract the log successfully however wasn't exactly sure if I exactly accessed it the intended way (wonders what the importance of the ten cent coin is...).
Thanks!
Thanks!
Managed to find the contraption quite quickly. Fortunately I never go geocaching (or mountain-biking or tramping) without my trusty Leatherman (17 TOTT's in one). It certainly paid off today. TFTC.
Stopped off for a visit after work on our way to a meeting in the area. Coords a little out according to our GPS but found after a search around the area. Excellent contraption which required a couple of TOTT to extract the log. Favourite for us TFTC.
Have fixed this cache, but will have to construct a new contraption (with treated wood)
Due to having inadvertently placed cache details twice on my GPS, with internal memory taking precedence over card memory I wasn't aware that the cache had been disabled. Parked the bicycle nearby and took a while to spot the right tree and cache contraption. Didn't have the ideal initial tool, resorting to one of those bike maintenance multitools that can't do a specific job properly. So took forever to gain access to the first stage, then couldn't really see how to extract stage 2. Maybe that's why the cache is disabled. However I think I got a bit too forceful using another tool and the lid popped off a container revealing the log bog. Signed it, then spent much more time laboriously replacing the outer coating using the fumbling bike multitool.
Would have saved 40 minutes if I had done this as a group during the skills event on 11 Aug, but got too busy talking and hunting trackables, then got discouraged by rain later in the day.
Thanks for interesting cache.

Out and about for a wander with some of the skills day crowd and stood back and let all the others do the hard work. Nice to meet you today. TFTC
After trashing-out in the park opposite the Auckland Skills Day CITO event, thought we'd wander over here to cache-in while waiting for our lift home. Easily spotted it in the daylight, about 10m North of where the GPS directed us. Something in our pocketses was sufficient to extract the log sheet container, although we did do the wrong end first. Thanks for a challenging cache.
Also found this one at lunchtime, like everyone else decided would be a good idea to!!
And just as well some other cachers seem to be a bit more prepared than me... I generally have a kit in my car which contains those neccecary tools, as well as others, but my friend stole it out of my car! Haha.
So, locating it seemed to be easy, and we soon figured out what needed to be done... though we didn't actually use the second tool! We only found out it was there after we'd retrieved the log! Lol.
TFTC!!

Sorry for the disabling,
Somehow today the magnet broke off, so will have to get another one.+ Will apply extra glue to it.
(I will just mention that for the cache there is only 1 tool required.)

Now this one took a while. I found the spot quickly enough but went about things the wrong way. Got there in the END. Just glad that it was quiet around.
Nice morning stroll up the hill, excellent camo job,

I was attending the nearby Skills Day and decided to collect this during the lunch break. I think that a lot of other people must have had the same idea as there was a queue at this one. Also fortunately one of my accomplishes had the required tool which made this an easy retrieval. TFTC.
Found as part of the field-work course on the skills-day. Great piece of work T4TC
Found on the field work with other event attendees. Lots of work went into this one and glad one of the crew had the required items to retrieve it. SL. TFTC.
I had all the tools (plus some) required. Thought it may have been nailed to a fence for a bit of camo...joined in the procession from the skills day. Thanks for this one nicely constructed idea.
Headed towards this with Avoyager, whom we'd just met at another cache only to be joined with 3 other caters, who kindly supplied the "right" tool, though between the 2 of us we had a good selection. A well created and crafty cache. It was very refreshing to see something like this instead of the usual trad. I hope to find more of your creations in time. TFTC
Popped in here after the skills event with stretch.kerr to get this one. Arrived at GZ and had a good search around before locating the contraption. Fortunately, i had the required tool in my caching bag which required little effort to extract the cache. Thanks for your thought and effort put into this hide! I look forward to finding more of your future caches!
Also a MUST-DO crowd cache during lunch time. Succesfully logged with others while staying for the nearby event cache. Thanks for this nice handcrafted box.
