Found this one while walking and noticed, not sure why it’s archived but thank you anyways
Today we are in the area from Old Beach.
Here we wanted to catch some smilies on our map.
This cache was after a short search found and signed. It was a tricky hide.
Thank you and greetings from Germany send Moorhelmi

Cool camo. No log and looks like part of the cache is missing so signed a spare bit of paper and left it in place. Won't last though, cache needs attention. TFTC

Another DNF. At least we got 1/3 at this end of the track. Enough to keep the kids interest up a little longer
Tassie Trip Day 108 - Today we decided that it was a quiet day however we needed to collect some caches and some groceries this was a short trip.
Well we parked at a location a little away from here and then I made my way to GZ and after arriving and then finding the container it was soon realised that the container was empty however I did not have my bag of tricks with me and alas the log could not be replaced so I am still claiming the find as the lid from the container also needs to be replaced it was also missing.
Thanks GoldJ for bring us here.

Found the cache, sort of. I found the container. But it had no lid nor a log. I put my on a leaf and put it where the log should be. It won't last long though.
I spotted the cache container but had to wait for a walker to pass by . Thanks so much for the wonderful cache. I appreciate it.
I had to visit the Old Beach on me way out of towne today
I needed to stretch the pegs

A very clever hiding place. Took some searching to find, but in the end we did. Tftc. MattyH from Tassie
This is one of the best camo’s we’ve seen. What a beautiful spot! Geodog had a nice swim.
Took a while to find a suitable spot to park the van, but once we did we quickly unloaded the bikes and set off on yet another geocaching bike ride for the day. Unlike some rides which were only for 1 cache we netted five from our stop here.
This one was the pick of the caches we found here and deserves the number of favourite points it has.
Mr Beetle spotted it quickly and then rode off for a bit of further exploration leaving me to log it. Working out how to extract the log took longer than it should have though!!!!
Thanks and another favourite point from us.

Super cool cache! Love it. Didn't have any extraction tools so not signed. But I'm looking forward to the next one now. That's an awesome hide.
Not normally out this way but decided to come out for a walk with the geodog. Glad I did because there are nice views from the track. TFTC
TFTC well constructed cache. Given favourite point. Cold day along path today
Certainly wasn't in the first place we looked, and when we did find it almost left without signing the log. Very cool hide! I'm going to have to start carrying some tools of the trade! Kids loved seeing all the rabbits (come at dusk) running back to their burrows when they saw us coming and picking blackberries! TFTH
Staying in Tassie for a girls craft weekend. We are just up from the hill from here (in a house overlooking this beautiful bay) so this afternoon we went for a walk so I could nab a cache or two! A very nice hide. Managed to spot something that looked out of place and bingo! Muggle friends were suitably impressed! Adding a fav here! Many thanks - hope to get a few more on the trail tomorrow!
While having a wonderful Easter break with the lovely cache owners. We walked along the path to grab their caches. The construction of this cache was fantastic and gets a fav point from me. Not just because they are great people but because it is a great 'must do' cache. TFTC.
Very pleasant wander along the foreshore to pick up this series of caches with some quite challenging hides.

I like the thought that has gone into the concealment. Not obvious unless you're looking. Well done tftc.
Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.
Now staying in Campania, after all the rain yesterday today was such a pleasant day although still cool.
We loaded our lunch, jumpers and bicycles and headed off to explore new areas.
We managed to find your cache whilst in the area. Last one for the series and liked the camo here. Good work.

Nawty stopped on the trail to read the cache description hoping to get insight of how it was hidden. Then she looked in the logical place and there it was. Hardest part was finding trail access.
Today is our last day in the Hobart area and we decided to focus on caches with lots of favourite points. They did not disappoint us. Got in a lot of walking along the way and that I a good thing.

A nice easy find of a clever container today. A lot of effort would have went in to make that one. TFTC GoldJ.
Some how have missed this one every other time we have been this way, but today was time to clear out a few stray caches and enjoy the still pleasant days we have been having of late. Love been out this way in places. Thanks for the reason to get out today.
JABs.
JABs.
Found it with difficulty as my personal GSP forgot the location. Screws loose, needs maintenance. TFTC
We left this one till last and both of us spotted the hide as we stood waiting for a muggle to pass, the Mrs had the log out and signed in no time.
It was only when I was replacing the cache that a wolf spider jumped out of a hole right at GZ, the Mrs jumped also along with a scream.
Thanks for a great afternoon caching GoldJ, pleased to find them all in one go.
Thanks for the cache.

Like several others we thought this was a great hide. We have seen a couple of similar style ones during the week. TFTC GoldJ
During a pleasant sunny afternoon we started off at the jetty and walked to Cassidys Bay and back and find as many of caches as we could. It was warm in sheltered spots but at some the sea breeze was quite pronounced.
The score was six out of seven.

Cache zombified. Had found this early in our adventures but didn't know what to do with it. This time had the log out and signed in no time. Amazing the difference a little experience makes. Tftc and the series, really enjoyed them.
This is one of my faves! Almost missed it, but then I spied something that didn't look quite right. Bingo! TFTC...

GoldJ introduced us to geocaching back in August last year and they helped us find the first two in this series. I remember the day well, it was blowing a gale and we abandoned any further searches. So now on a lovely sunny day we came back and finally completed the series. Loved this hide so another favourite. Thanks GoldJ for this cache and the series.

Found with Smiley_bear and Gooseandegg. Enjoyed the bike riding and cache finding with Miss J. Also loved being by the water and exploring the foreshore. My dad, The Bear found this one too quickly. Now I got to ride back to the car. TFTC and all the caches in this series.
We teamed up with Smiley_bear so there was 8 of us -including geodog, to do this series (in reverse). So glad we saved this one for last. It is a ripper and got us talking about our ideas for clever caches. Thanks GoldJ for the great series around Old Beach. A favourite point from us

A great team effort by clans Gooseandegg and smiley_bear. A fun day and nice walk (and ride for Miss J and WKC). The geo pooch throughly enjoyed the walk and the swim when we returned to the jetty.
We really appreciated the effort that went into the cache. A favourite from us. TFTC.

A very nice sunny day just right for finding the Old Beach series by GoldJ. We started at the Jetty and proceeded along the foreshore track to Cassidys Bay; an area worth visiting.
This was the last cache found and an impressive hide it was too. Many thanks for this and of course for the series GoldJ.

Found this one yesterday, was very hard as not in same place when mum & dad found it originally.

If at first you dont succeed, try and try again! WE FOUND IT!!!! very clever hide. Took us a moment to realise it was actually it!
We parked at #7 and I jogged around to here to start - took a nice 1/2 hour as I was backwardsing and forwardsing while Maddie sniffed and moseyed along at her 14y.o. pace. I'm extremely slow, but Maddie can even make ME look fast and that takes some doing. I was so impressed with this hide, what a great one to set me off into the 1900s. Thanks GoldJ.
This was the last one of this series today and very very very clever. Again well done GoldJ on your creativity and construction technique. A well deserved favourite point given for this hide, Removed the log and left ink on paper but took nothing and left nothing, TFTC
enjoyed the walk around this trail, nice and different caches at each stop. tftc
After a pleasant walk around an area that we hadn't previously visited we came to the end or the beginning of the series, depending on your perspective . A very entertaining series, thank you. And, yes we did find this cache as well.
I got to GZ and wondered exactly where I should be looking. Suddenly something just didn't look right and sure enough it was the cache.
Decided to do this cache mid afternoon but as it was daylight savings and we bush walk often we didn't think it would be too difficult to achieve. After following the description " keep to the main track" we came to a dead end the cache within 500 metres but no way to get through the bush. Backtracking to a pile of concrete blocks and heading up a steep track we were soon back in the chase. The challenge of caching is the hunt - the joy is the find. Today there was joy. A spectacular spot.

It would appear that Muggles have destroyed this cache. We'll endeavour to get another in its place in the vicinity shortly.
Have a feeling this one's gone. Found the blue ag pipe behind the rock without any camo. Can't imagine why else it would be there.
Ah-ha, I remember that empty bit of pipe behind the rock. I wasn't just being blind, in this particular instance!
I don't know what my problem was today but I didn't have much success. We hunted around for a good while before deciding to give up. I only had a bit over an hour and was wanting to take Maddie out for a walk, and we both enjoyed the nice walking track beside the river in the lovely warm temperature.
Dropped off both TB's found in the north of the state. The Brisbane Storey Bridge wants to travel the world and get photos of bridges. The NZ Travel Tag. Where's Weta? also wants to travel the globe but wants to visit forest parks & reserves.
After finding 2, we hopped along around to this one for a nice easy find. A very pleasant walk and cute cache container.

Tackled 3 of this series today, the weather was not good so will return to complete another day. Found a cache with a difference very good hide. TFTC
We had come to Hobart for the weekend to celebrate the birthday of one of our sons. Of course, we managed to squeeze a little caching into our visit. We were heading home, a little ahead of schedule, when we decided to try to find a couple of the Old Beach caches. After finding how to access this cache we had a pleasant walk along the river bank track. Once near GZ accurate coordinates led to the quick find of a very well constructed cache. The cache and its contents were in good condition. Thanks GoldJ for a very well constructed and hidden cache.
