Logs
Theres been some recent clearing. Had a good poke around and peered down the bank.
Well that was soon resolved! I discovered the cache wedged in a tree some 30 m back down the track on my return to Riverstone Terraces. Theres nothing in the log between Danosaur37 and the orange smudges. I returned the cache to GZ, naq ohvyg n pnvea/fcbe haqre n gerr sbe vgf arj ubzr
Found It on an afternoon bike ride. Decided to stop and see if there was anything close so unable to manually note it down as didn't have a writing device.
Makes the small slog worth it! I wonder how different the view was when the cache was first placed, though it is still grand today. Tftc
Lots of potential hiding spots, but found reasonably quickly. Unable to sign as log soaked. TFTC
I let my eyes to the walking on this one. After a good think I went straight to it. TFTC!
This was the hardest find of the day. Passed it up on the way but not wanting to leave it unfound had a good think on the way back and with the help of past logs made the find. TFTC
Thanks for this fun geocache! Had to get on hands and knees to find it. (Pencil is gone)
Taking advantage of spending another evening in Upper Hutt, I decided to get a bit of fresh air after work by taking a stroll along the Hutt River Trail from Totara Park towards Riverstone Terraces. The weather was actually a lot calmer than I was anticipating after some of the gusty weather we'd had earlier in the day, and I ended up walking about 6km all up.
There was no-one else around whilst at GZ so was able to make an easy search here, although I'm not sure I agree with the Hint. In the end though it really didn't take me long to find, and with the log duly signed and the whole lot replaced as found, I was soon back on my way.
Thanks for placing this cache.

A nice quick find thanks. I got on my bike and did some caching whilst waiting for the Remutaka road to reopen. I found this on the way back from the new bridge under constuction.
Ms_KR and I are off on a wee tour of the North Island. It was a great weather day and we cruised to Porirua and over the Masterton. The Remutaka hill was closed for over 4 hours as a truck "Fell off" part way up. The truck was a long way down when we passed, and the driver was in a serious condition. Hopefully they will be OK.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

It was nice to walk through a bit of bush after the road walk. Thanks for placing the cache
Sadly all the cairns have gone but this was an easy find with @peadub. Signed log and replaced where found. TFTC.
Thanks for placing the cache on this new part of the track. Seen some cool birds today. TFTC
Had a very nice walk along this part of the river trail. No cairn views today. The difficulty level was taunting me and the hint wasn't very helpful but once I thought about where there may once have been a view I managed to locate the cache. TFTC
Possibly still OK for cycling by experienced mountain bikers but we decided this part of the track was much more suitable for walking. Nice view.
One of 18 caches located today on an enjoyable bike ride along the Hutt River trail (mostly) from Upper Hutt to Pomare Station. There are several possible spots this one might be hiding. Took us a few moments to find the right one! #2491. TFTC.
I carried along the trail after picking up the new caches. No views of any cairns here, but the cache was a quick find, anyway. TFTC
Nice quick find in the obvious place today. Not many cairns left to view these days.
Lovely winter walk with the three doggos and my muggle bestie, this time the muggle spotted the cache - knew I brought her along for something other than a good gossip

#5441. Easter Sunday, April Fools Day and its a sunny, warm and fairly calm day. Time for another long walk in the hills up above the Hutt Valley. Todays mission was another Welly Climbs multi and to pick up caches well out back on the ridges behind Cannons Point. All up an 18 km walk today and a lot of hill climbing. Those caches down side spurs certainly know how to zap the energy. After the first cache by the river I never saw another person today. The closure of the zig-zag track seems to have killed the outdoor spirit in this area.
A fairly quick find here. The view is bit overgrown these days but the cache was quickly spotted. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for hiding it here CaligulaNZ.

My second find along here. The track has just started to become interesting but I have run out of time so this is as far as I go. Will have to come back some other day to continue further up. TFTC.
I came up here to ride along part of the Hutt River Trail that I had not been on before. My son Tim came with me and we had a great time biking, throwing stones in the river and enjoying the sunshine.
We located a few caches along the trail. However we couldn't find one near the Whakatiki River. I think we'll be coming back in a day or two to have another look for that one.
The cache is in good condition. There was a bit of water in the container but the log was dry.
Thank you

All quiet out here today and we had the place to ourselves. All in order and replaced as found. TFTC
Nice quick find while walking with wife and the kids. How to see the cairn from here now as the bush has grown quite a lot.
It is a beautiful fine day for a walk. A quick find while walking the loop. All in order. TFTC
This cache was oddly problemetic for me. As I was walking past GZ the GPS seemed to be pointing some 20m down the bank so I kept on walking thinking there would be an access to a lower terrace - or maybe I was on the wrong path. When I was some 400m away at another cache I was reading the logs for this one and it things weren't adding up. So I backtracked and upon second arrival the GPS was telling me it was right on the path. After a bit of a look around there view became apparent which told me I was in the right place. The cache was found shortly after. I made that harder than necessary but TFTC!
A great day to head out and after completing the Cannon Point loop walk I headed along this trail to collect a few outstanding ones. The track is pretty overgrown along here and made for an exhilarating ride on the bike.
Found this one quickly and cache in good order. TFTC CaligulaNZ

I transposed a couple of digits while loading my GPS and went too far along the track and through the bush. I came out at a sort of lookout built from river bed stones, with a cairn about 10 metres away. Going from the hint the cache had to be there, but no such luck. I went to where the GPS said 0m and looked at the area of stones, flat in all directions. Nothing to match the hint here either.
After a few more minutes of casting about I resorted to double checking my numbers, found the error and headed off for a quick find at the actual GZ. It's not all bad - you can't see a thing at GZ now because the bushes have grown up and blocked the view. I got to see a few cairns and a river, so I'm well pleased

A quick find on a track I have never visited before. Thanks for placing a cache here.
A relative quick find. But the bush is growing higher making the Cairn view harder. Still good to see it sitting in the middle of the river. TFTC
Out exploring a new part of greater Wellington today. Very hot walking along the gravel road then much cooler as you enter the bush. Cache quickly located. Had to stand on tippy toes though to get a view of the cairns. Thanks for the cache.
TFTC I was happy to find this cache as it had not been logged for 4 months. I enjoyed the walk along the river. The cache is in good condition
Decided I needed a walk today, and this fitted the bill nicely, enabling me to accumulate another 1.83 km towards the Distance challenge....TFTC. Great views up and down the valley today.
Dragged the ol' mountain bike out of the shed for this one, to check out this track, as I hadn't been down here before. Left 'Silly Micros' and 'Beautiful Day' as incentive to return before long. Lots of horsey people out brrrm brrrming on their steeds and mucking about in the paddocks. TFTC! Easy find which I also enjoyed. Dropped trackable before stowing.
have needed an excuse to get back onto my mtn bike for a very long time and decided today was the day. so Dobby and I biked up to the top even managed to get to the very top of the hill I picked up all the missing caches I needed for leprechauns series and sweet little mystery and even managed a second to find. so a great ride and a great caching morning. thanks heaps for getting me back on my bike. tftc
What a lovely walk! Have been past the horse paddocks several times, but never realised the track went though the bush further on.
Came in from the Totara Park end, interesting the variety from farmland to forest and grasslands.
Could see the cairn OK but a lot of the rest of the view is hidden by the flora.
A quick find, the hint says it all.
A little prickly but not too bad at this stage.
TFTC.

Good view of bmx track. Quite over grow for views of cairn. Great track to walk. Does it go all the way back to riverstone I wonder? Tftc
A great spot I wasn't aware of and wouldn't have come to had it not been for this cache.
Have decided it's time I focussed on collecting a few local caches and this certainly was a great location. Parked opposite the confluence of the Whakatiki Stream and the Hutt River and crossed over the river from there - it's was especially nice on the return journey cooling down the feet! Then enjoyed a leisurely stroll collecting all four caches along the track.
TFTC CaligulaNZ, you certainly know of some great spots! #7318

Went exploring from Moonshine Bridge down Riverstone side of river. Had to cross Whakatikei river to get onto track and then managed to walk all the way to Totara Park Bridge. Checked out the view of the cairns and wrote in the log, nice spot! TFTC
The track continues with no problem through a lovely area of bush. There are a couple of slips but these have been retracked. Good views across the river at this point. TFTC
Sensibly we ignored all the warnings and urgings to cancel outdoor activities in the face of the expected onslaught from the leftovers of tropical cyclone Lusi. And it turned out to be one of the warmest and most pleasant Sundays that we have had in parts around here for a while.
Ignoring the track closed signs and then navigating a small slip area, we were soon at GZ. Good views as promised in the cache title.
A straightforward find. Cache in order; log signed, safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Wow, any more exposed and the cache would have been on the track. Signed log and covered, though I think the lay of the land plays a great deal in loss of cover. Thank you
Quick find. Track to this point is fine - minor detour through a well used paddock that has gates/fence removed.
The track to this cache is currently closed.
(Depending on which way you go)
The track from "Beautiful Day" to here is fine, but there is a large slip between here and "Silly Micros".
Very quick find though.

The day was wet, wet, wet, so we decided to go for a walk along this track for the first time. Scratched my head looking for an obvious place where a cache would be at GZ and soon came to hand. TFTC
Find #1579. Another nice Sunday in Wellington so another chance to go cycle-caching. Biked along the Hutt River Trail from Haywards to Birchville, then back to here via Cannons Point. Haven't taken this track before so was pleased for the excuse to explore it and gather more caches. SL TFTC
Not that obvious as someone had been clearing the track. Pretty accurate coordinates tho
