Thank you! We found it. As past people have said, the notebook is sodden and there is nothing else inside.
Grey overcast afternoon skies making this GZ dark, yet beautiful as an oasis with that log bridge! Somewhere Ive not been before, except for geocaching! Log book is totally soggy, I brought my spare roll only that it will be too tiny in such a large container so nope. Photo of find proof sent to CO Team Canary, TFTC
Found this one fairly quickly although log was on the floor alittle way away from the open container so couldn't log as it was wet and muddy...

We had a little spare time after arriving, so made the most of the remaining daylight with a few finds around Hazelbrook.
I felt like we wet in someone’s backyard! Nice hide …

After arriving in Leura, we had a few hours before dark came upon us. We decided to cache around the Hazelbrook area and found a bunch of great caches…
We stopped at this one and were very confused, the bush was very thick, way more than T2.5 and in the semi dark, we weren’t going to do it… But after a bit of walking around, we found a track, then a log, then what the hint described…
I grabbed the cache and it was much bigger than I thought. Cool spot and good container for the spot…
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache Team Canary

Someone said to me yesterday "the mountains are great".
Well I have been up here caching before, lots of times but mostly by train. Most of the caches I've found around Hazelbrook and Lawson seem to have been archived so with today being a beautiful autumn day I headed up here to remedy that.
I followed the local streets through the new development. Where is this cache taking me?
Parked the geomobile near the most pristene couch lawn I've ever seen, and walked towards GZ. So near yet so far, couldn't get to GZ so walked around for another point of attack.
From there I could see things mentioned on the cache page and moving closer I could see what I hoped was the cache. Yep, CIH.
I sat on the log bridge to do the legal stuff.
Well don't do that ........ as I drove back towards the highway I could feel something crawling up my leg. Something cold.
I stopped as soon as I could, got out of the geomobile. Yep it was still moving.
What to do?
Heck shoes off, tracky pants ripped off and there it was trying hard to attach itself to me. Fighting hard I managed to wrestle it off without any blood being lost.
Were any muggles watching?
Who cares - if they've never seen bare legs and undies before they've had a very protected life!
With that fixed I headed to Bulls Camp for a lunch stop.
Yep, found another creature on me. I don't want to be accused of taking fauna out of the mountains so I fought it off too and left it in the carpark.
TFTC - the biggest adventure today, monthly target reached, even with a bung leg.

Really fun! Just live across the road and I’ve had no idea! Tip: try to look under things.

I am gradually catching up with my logging - am currently only a month and a bit behind. But that's still over 100 caches!
To be honest, while I still find searching for caches fun, I'm finding logging less so. But I have to log to get me stats and souvenirs, so...
Only a few Adventure Labs and my First2Finds have been written up in a timely manner - don't want people racing out when it's already been snaffled.
Nevertheless, I have kept up with my 2022 goal of 16 finds per caching day. In fact, for the most part my modus operandi has been to actually aim for 20. So far I've only failed on that a few times, and only by 1 find. Amazingly I'm on track for 19 finds per day, but somehow I expect that will eventually prove too hard as I have to travel a good distance if I want more than a cache a day.
Thanks to all the CO's who have made it possible to keep my goal in sight. Most of the finds have been Traditionals, but a few Puzzle series and the odd other cache type have been grabbed where possible.
Sorry the logs are very generic, but I'll never catch back up otherwise.
###END OF GENERIC ABJECT GROVELLING SECTION###
Decided to hit the Bluies for a few calendar finds today - hoping for at least five to appease the Calendar Caching Gods. Got six before heading home.
That'll do!
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Any cache specific comments will be added here.
If none, then it was a good cache and easily found.

Nice spot! Thanks for bringing us here. Cache is ok, log is damp . Easy find! Tftc
To help stop the spread of Covid-19, the NSW Government has ordered everybody to Stay At Home, unless you are: shopping for essentials, receiving medical care, exercising or travelling to work or education.
While some people would regard going geocaching as a form of exercise, exercising has been limited to your Local Government Area or within 10 kilometres of your home. Additionally people are not permitted to leave certain councils except for authorised workers.
Who knows how long this current lock down will last? What I do know, as a health professional, is that every one of us has an important part to play in helping to keep our families, friends and the wider community safe in the fight against the spread of Covid-19, by staying home.
Due to the health authority’s directive, my observations of people breaking the law and finding geocaches outside these rules and the risk that if an infectious person finds one of the caches and another person comes along they could possibly become infected, I have decided to disable this cache and request that no one search for or claim a find whilst this cache is disabled.
Thank you for your co-operation. I look forward to enabling my caches as soon as the Stay At Home orders are relaxed.
Stay safe, Team Canary.

Took the hard way in. Not the easy way but still bashed out way through the prickly plants and made it to the cache. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache

After taking the wrong way in and having some fun with the prickly bushes, we soon had cache in hand, signed the log and was heading back to the car the much easier way.

Quick find with Deep_99 to keep the streak going. SL #4775 on streak day #3107 TFTC unable to sign the log due to cache filled with water.
Cache was not hidden, but we returned it where we found it due to low muggle risk as it has been a year since last found. Needs new log as current one is saturated and slimy.
quick find with Ris768, the log is way past being able to be signed as its been sitting in water for quite some time, thanks for placing this cache Tiger of Team Canary

Streak Day #2374 - Made a quick find with Dave8153, log was soaking wet, needs some TLC. TFTC
Tftc. Lovely location in the bush. The cache was empty and full of water needs a bit of TLC.
Good find, needs maintenance as the paper was wet and needs more stuff in the box, come on guys
Pretty easy find only took me a couple of secs when in the location, probably looked very dodgy finding it though! (Bring your own pen, there isn't one supplied in the cache)
A little tricky. Ignore the log at the foot of the person's house. In fact you don't need to cross the bridge. Watch out for brambles. Very close to someone's yard. Needs maintenance, water in catch.
Easy little park and grab. Did not know anything about this area. Fascinated to find the remains of a bridge here. TFTC
Spent the morning geocaching in the Hazelbrook area with Geobrother (Forereach) and nonGeo Mrs Forereach and carried on after lunch solo. Ventured into some lovely areas during the day and enjoyed this part of the world. Thanks to all COs for their great work in placing and maintaining the caches. please excuse the generic log (which has been tailored slightly for some of the caches). Wonder what the purpose of the log bridge was at this location !!!
Container cleaned and dried. New logbook placed. Replace in original position. Good to go.
no longer aok, log is extremely water logged. pretty much pulp that I didn't bother trying to sign. I'm sorry I didn't have anything with me to replace it with a dry version . the dogs next door were very unimpressed with us rambling through their bush as I went the hard way on the way in. Invariably finding the easier way on the way out. will drop in paper and pen next time I'm down this way but hopefully someone else will replace before then. tftc Team Canary
Hopefully after a few days drying out at home the book is usable again.
Let me know if any problems arise.

After walking in the long way past a barking dog it was the soon CIH. A little water inside the cache which we dried out with tissues. All now ok with the cache. Walked out the short trail. TFTC Tiger.
Found cache exactly where the hint advised us to look. Water in container but log seems ok, although a little damp. Have dried as best we could. TFTC Tiger of Team Canary.
Going shopping for parts this weekend. Hopefully the cache will be in the next week.
To find this cache I went in one side and came out the other. The cache had quite a bit of water inside so I gave it a bit of a clean.
Thanks Tiger for the cache
Thanks Tiger for the cache
Went for a short geocaching adventure with two muggle friends (one Aussie, one Canadian). It was misting and all the vegetation was wet, and we got pretty soaked during the bushbashing but all in all we enjoyed ourselves and the beautiful settings near Hazelbrook. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining their caches.
-----End of cut & paste section-----
To finish off the day we decided to stop for this one. After a quick look we found the intended cache access, and within a couple of minutes I spotted the cache. After signing in, we all agreed we were starving and made our way to Penrith for a ride on a sushi train, where we stuffed ourselves to an overly-satisfied degree, likely shocking the employees and other customers. TFTC! This will sadly be my last find in Australia!

Found with some water in it. Dried it out with a paper towel and added some notepaper in a plastic bag. TFTC
Only had a small piece of paper on me which has now been placed as a replacement log. Maybe the next finder could bring something more substantial?

A quick find with Delloro. The cache contained just a pencil but no logbook, so Delloro left a piece of paper. It won't last though as the cache was letting in water. TFTC

Found the box in the open minus log but with a pencil, keyring and water. Not sure where it had originally been hidden so left where found. 2016-02-18 at 14:16, TFTC
Nice saturday. My son left the toy helicopter he got from the transit of venus cache. Off to the next.
I had been here before to find the cache, but it was raining and the water level was high under the bridge at the time.
This time it was dark and my torch was needed, only to find the cache away from the bridge.
Thanks for the cache.

#294 found with Noodles22 towards a successful day caching in Hazelbrook 15 caches found no DNFs got to the place & then found a place to park. With our torches we set to work. With the clue had 2 options, this time I got the correct place & spotted it quickly, signed the log then off to the next. Thanks for the cache & I got a bit of a story
A quick park and grab. Got caught by brambles on the way in and took the easy path out. TFTC
Finally! Took well over a year to find the right moment. I needed to have the kids around me...I always felt like I was too easy to see from all the houses. Kids make the whole situation less suspicious
Found with Jimmy, Jenny, Joni and Casey the dog! We were a bit wary of leeches on this wet day! Great little spot. Tftc

Didn't look too closely I was taking my baby cousin for a walk and just had a quick search
Finally found it, the local dog was going crazy so we left and then went back. The inside of the container has been wet and the log is damp, ripped and has a brown growth. We had no paper with us so were unable to replace the log. TFTC
We had been planning a boxing day geocaching trip for a few months . Boxing day was the perfect opportunity as Mel_Adz was down for Christmas and we could get the day off work – a day where the roads in the mountains are relatively quiet. The plans were set when Jg.designs decided to come along for the trip.
We planned for an upper mountains geocaching trip considering our history geocaching in the lower mountains and previous geocaching trips to the upper mountains.
The day started poorly, quite overcast with rain and thunderstorms forecast across the mountains. We persevered regardless and the day cleared up into a beautiful mountains day.
The team found a number of geocaches with 34 new geocaches being logged for me.
Was a bit skeptical about this one with it being so close to people's houses, but we mad the find quickly and without any muggles.

When we drove up to this spot I went I remember trying to find this one...and came up with nothing. Always good to turn a DNF into a smiley! TFTC
visiting my sister on the street thought id find this cache and couldnt find it searched under the bridge and around
Went down following another DNF, couldn't find it either, not sure if it is still here.

Had a good look for this one but to no avail. We suspect it may have been muggled or been washed away as it was clear that the water level in the creek has been much higher.
Found with paulyman while visiting the Blue Mountains this weekend. This one was tricky to get out, lucky I have such small hands! TFTC.
Of cause I went to the exact opposite side and got tangled up in some blackberrys! When I looked under I could see it in a clear spot...Thanks TC.
Given the very wet weather of late, I thought this one may have suffered, but it was nice and dry. TFTC.
Had just grabbed some take away for dinner and rather than eat it on the road, we decided to head off to a park to enjoy it and this one looked good as there was a cache here too. Once at the park, was a little disappointed that there were no tables or anything around.... Ended up just grabbing the cache, signing the log and eating dinner in the car. It is a nice area though. TFTC.
