A nice straightforward find here today, for some of us!Log signed today with team CPI24. Today's group is MinnieK, Fitzy_65, joolay, Contesta, Flintstones, sacada and myself. Over the weekend we also had Gliss, Nibletricecakes, Tankengine, dty73 and Youban. After a morning event where the days plans were sorted, met local cachers and cars sorted for the morning. Heading out to find a few more of the solved puzzles, a challenge cache trail and ALs later in the day. Weather was great as was the company and a really enjoyable weekend despite ongoing health issues challenging me. A few technical issue with geocaching and ALs not functioning but worked through it best we could! Thanks for your cache!
Day 3 and doing some random stuff before heading back home.Up with a group from Canberra running around the Penrith area. Signing as CPI24. for Canberra Penrith Invasion. Thanks for getting me out and about Morley196
Spending some time caching around the NSW/ACT southern tablelands with lots of side trips. TFTC. The third day caching around the Penrith area with a mob of Canberra cachers (CPI24). Did a lot of solved puzzles, challenge caches, Ad Labs and many others in between. Finally leaving late afternoon to head back to Canberra.Nice multi. Took a bit to spot.
A cache trip to Penrith and the Blue Mountains with a large group from Canberra, signing with CPI24. A number of caches planned and others added on the fly. A fun group outing on a beautiful spring weather day. This cache: we all looked there but it needed Aquilus1 to really carefully look! Thank you Morley196 for putting the cache out and maintaining it.
If Im off to a GC social event tonight, lets make the day brilliant - by not turning up at work! Definitely worth taking a day off. Will I reach my 2000th milestone sometime somewhere today?A sunny day, hence Im hatted. Fortunately as magpies are swooping around me. Thanks Morley196 for creating this cache for everyone to enjoy.
We are on another short (three day) caching holiday in North Western Sydney, staying for two nights in a park cabin at the Ingenia Holidays Avina BIG4 Holiday Park at Vineyard. Hoping to collect some more previously solved Mystery/Puzzle caches, complete some of the newly placed Adventure Labs and SideTracked caches, and accumulate some "units of fuel" for the new "Cosmic Quest" souvenir challenge. Photos will be uploaded to logs on our return to home base.Today (day 2) we headed up to Richmond for a SideTracked MultiCache and some Adventure Lab stages, then some more Adventure Lab stages at North Richmond, before travelling via Grose Vale Road to Kurrajong for another SideTracked MultiCache and numerous Adventure Lab stages and an AL Bonus cache. Also crossed paths with two groups of other cachers while at Kurrajong, which ended up looking like a mini Event, so was a nice surprise. Returned via Bells Line of Road, collecting some Traditional caches along the way, including some tree caches requiring our 10 metre TOTT. This was the 2nd of 24 finds for the day (day 2), and 20th find of the holiday.Stopped at this previous DNF on our way to Richmond, parking on a side street and heading over to a familiar GZ for a fresh look. And amazingly we spotted the cache within 30 seconds of arrival, so don't know how we missed it last time, but happy to turn the sad blue to happy yellow on the geomap today. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. No magpies were spotted at GZ today, swooping or otherwise. TFTC Morley196.Find #6928
The only thing swooping today was me swooping in for a quick solve and find. TFTC Morley196
Found on a visit to Sydney with Nibletricecakes. This one took a bit longer than it prob should have - now I know what a metal tree is. TFTC.
Up in Sydney with GLISS! For some caching, exploring and the East Richmond parkrun. This one took some hunting to nail down. GLISS! Managed to make the find. Thanks for the cache.
We are on another short (three day) caching holiday in North Western Sydney, staying for two nights in a park cabin at the Ingenia Holidays Avina BIG4 Holiday Park at Vineyard. Hoping to collect some previously solved Mystery/Puzzle caches, complete some Adventure Labs, and accumulate enough cache finds for this month’s "Wheel of Challenges" easy & hard souvenir chase. Photos will be uploaded to some (most) logs on our return to home base.
Today (day 2) we explored the areas around Wilberforce, Ebenezer, and Sackville. Completed a five stage Adventure Lab, as well as a couple of random Adventure Lab stages (waypoints), and collected numerous Traditional caches, a previously solved Mystery/Puzzle cache, a MultiCache, and a Virtual cache. A total of 31 finds for the day (day 2).
We had a go at this one after doing the nearby "Oval - The shape" MultiCache, but sadly found nothing cache-like at final GZ, despite a good search amongst the long grass. TFTH anyway Morley196.

Very overgrown here now. After the hint consulting the hint couldn't see anything close by as the hint mentioned.
OCW discobob3 and we did the calcs and searched for a significant amount of time but came up empty handed here
After getting a hint from a previous finder, I came back and was able to find it this time, a place where I had checked a million times previously which did relate to the clue of 1m. Undergrowth made it a bit tricky. TFTC
Found with Chippyddd. No room for SWAPS or drops. Cache and logbook are dry. SL TFTC TFTH Replaced cache as found ready for the next cacher. Thanks and cache on.
No.12 for the day. Found alongside Geo Buddy, Mystic Seer who came along to grab some previously missed caches along the bike path. A fairly straight forward find, with CIH, SL. TFTH Thanks to the CO, Morley196 for bringing us to this area. Cheers.
Not my fav type of bird that's for sure. Nice easy multi and found pretty quickly TFTC
I attended an event earlier in the day and stopped here on the way home. Took me longer than it should have as I was wrongly assuming it was bigger. Thanks for the cache Morley196 tnln replaced as found sl
#2658after going to a ANZAC Day dawn service at Lalor Park headed off in this direction while passing remembered that there was a couple of multiple nearby. The first one was too hard to go looking in the long grass as there was a car parked right near GZ so went hunting maggies found the sign and did the calculation came up with a viable set of numbers but it took a while to find the cache as it appears you have shrunk
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache Morley196. Lest We Forget

TFTC! This happened to be my 300th!! Found phone number and then retreated 150m to the air conditioning of the car to figure out the GZ... Wasn't that a mistake!
In the area today and headed out to grab a few caches and this was one of them.
Last time I passed by doing this trail I only had traditionals in the GPS but today I had the lot. So once at GZ the information was gathered, maths done and the cache was soon in hand.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Finally I have found this one. I know I've been here twice previously, maybe three times. Last time I checked the sign again in case I had the wrong information but it was correct. This time in the end I used the hint which helped a lot. Easy find then!
Signed the log and visited some TBs.
I was going west to Windsor and drove along Industry Road, probably not a good idea as it was very hard to get onto Windsor Road, would have been better to return to Park Road.

I think the infamous McGraths hill maggie has gone - no reports of it on magpiealert.com this year. Perhaps the new one at norwest just south of norbrik drive (along old windsor rd) is it's replacement? He's a vicious thing. Can't blame him, just a Dad watching out for his baby. But they sure so put the wind up you when they attack.
Anyhow to be sure, tonight I snuck up on the sign under the cover of darkness and soon had CIH. Thanks Morley

This was my first stop on the return journey, a healthy 3km ride. I calculated the coordinates and soon had CIH. I like the hint, and the car. TFTC!

Took a bit of looking then luck but cache is now micro. We were initially looking for something bigger. TFTC
Easy to solve the puzzle, a little harder to find cache. Thank you for the journey today, 13 caches found. TFTC
This cache took some time to find as we were looking for something slightly bigger but we won in the end. As bike riders we have over the years had numerous scary encounters with Magpies as you often don’t see them coming until it’s too late. Fortunately it’s not the nesting period at the moment.
A great day for a bike ride in western Sydney with my granddaughter. Thanks to the COs for all the caches... and to those who helped maintain them.
We left early this morning to get as many caches as we could along this trail. Ended up getting just over 80 so it was a very good day. Thanks for all the caches.
Always love caching with this group, a fun day out on this trail chasing planets. Thanks to all COs for the caches.
Out with the gang collecting caches along Windsor and Richmond roads. It was a medium long pedal but a great day. Disappointingly we had to replace a few containers along the way but no biggie either since the effort should breath some life back into the trail. TFTC.
Out on a bicycle caching run with geobuddies along both the Richmond and Windsor Rd trails and also grabbing any other caches in-between.
Overall our day was a whooping 10hrs on the bikes and we all enjoyed every pedel of the way.
We found a total of 87 caches today so I apologise for my repeated logs,
Thanks to all the cache owners for providing us with a great day out.

Well it is certainly there but last time I visited with family that got impatient due to the heat. This time no time pressure no family pressure just the noise of cars passing by.
With a nudge from a cacher or cache owner I had lunch at the Etta pub then made my way here. I looked then re-read a clue given to me many moons ago. Then I narrowed my search down to a few spots... a ha. Got ya.
I took a butterfly and left a giraffe and a bug.
Minus 1 dnf off my map!

I pasted by here to do a quote out at Freemans Reach and Noticed a mounting pile of DNFs and ppl that have contacted me about the cache. On the way back I called in to see if the cache is still intact as the site where the cache was originally placed has been cleared by phone line workers.
I can inform you that the CACHE IS ALIVE AND WELL and I found it situated approximately 5 metres from the ‘steel tree’ mentioned in hint.
I can’t give you the corrected coordinates because that would take the fun out of working them out.

Our first time in this part of the country, and what a great way to see the area and learn about it. Always love a series we can do on our bikes.
It's still there!
We found the sign and did the calculations and began to search with not a lot of hope considering the recent work in the area.
Then Mrs SKI turned it up where I had already looked. Don't you hate that!
Just what we like in a multi, a simple offset.

Some work has been done here and we think it might be gone. Either way we couldn't find it.
Had a look around but nothing. There's work going on in the area and we think it may be gone. Needs a check
I've been working in North Richmond for quite a few weeks, I've often looked at all of the caches along the Rouse Hill to Windsor power trail.
After I took note of the necessary numbers on the the sign, I headed back to my car to work out the numbers. I searched a few spots and soon had CIH. Log was signed and cache replaced.
This area also has blue painted lines on the ground. and there are phone line workers in the area. It may pay to check on this cache in a few days.

We wear helmets with cable ties to ward off magpies and Masked Lapwings. However, we were swooped by a small noisy miner, who actually brushed through the cable ties. Made us laugh. TFTC
Found this cache as part of a morning's walk to find some more of the caches along the Windsor Road powertrail. TFTC.
I helped with the maths for this cache. Another quick find along Windsor Road.

Today was the day for the Windsor to Rouse Hill trail.
I started off by parking on Court Street in Windsor, unfolding the push-bike and get on the road. In total I found 67 caches, and 5 non founds. At the end of the day, the GPS showed a total track distance of 18.6 km.
I read about the magpies, and that was one of the reason that I decided to postpone this trail until after the breeding season. So today, no magpies in sight, except for the little picture on the sign.
After solving the puzzle, it was a short distance to the cache.
Thanks for the cache!

On a walk from Windsor to Rouse Hill today, grabbing caches on the powertrail.
Well, this one was easy. To add to this, the final seemed to be rather close so this took in total only a few minutes - the longest single element was me crunching the numbers.
The container was exposed but is now covered with some leaves, twigs, etc to keep it out of muggles' sights.
All good here. TFTC, Morley196!

Found it while attempting this power trail with delloro. We managed to grab 70 from 71 today!
We struggled at first with this multi as we got some numbers mixed up.

17/9/16. 1:01 PM. Cache #4202.
2nd of 6 finds (& 2 DNFs) today - Rouse Hill, Vineyard, Mulgrave, Windsor, Cornwallis & South Windsor.
After the CITO at Rouse Hill, I decided to hit the nearer parts of the Hawkesbury Shire, hopefully to start by redeeming some earlier DNFs. No luck at "Train Spotter - Standard Gauge", so then I came here.
This is the only cache from the old WRPT power trail that I still hadn't found, DNFing it 18 months ago and having not been back for a second look. A bit silly to come back here in magpie season I guess. Just to be extra sure of a find, I rechecked the A-F on the sign and confirmed the same GZ. A short search later and I found the cache, not hidden any harder than any of the other caches along the trail, so not sure how I could have missed it last time. Signed and replaced, now I really have finished the WRPT! Off to another past DNF at "Train Spotter - Railway Road 2". TFTC.

First big caching day of spring and what better way to enjoy the weather than with an epic bike cache trail. Team MavEtJu and I signed the logs as E+E for ease...
(46 of 62 today) I have to admit that I wasn't keen on having to hang around here to do a multi with what the warning sign was telling us, and as I already had some issues the day before with a dozen young birds, the quicker we could get out of there the happier I was going to be. Mercifully, no swoops, just one CIH. Thanks Morley196.

Another cache I have previously DNFd that I thought deserved a 3rd try... Looked around and around and around. Went for a wander and came back and tried again. Was about to give up when I saw an unlikely container. Carefully opened it as I wasn't sure what might be inside. It was the cache. Not the contained I was expecting and not what I had seen in an earlier post! Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
About 1.5 weeks ago I was looking at the geocaching map of Sydney in search of a nice trail.
I noticed this trail and wanted to know more about it.
After a quick investigation I found out that it was possible to do the trail while walking.
The problem could be how to get there. Luckily the Opal travel app was of great help.
The best option was to start at the end of the trail near Castlebrook Memorial park, a 50 minute bus ride from Sydney. But only if I would not travel on Sunday as the way back from Windsor would take me more then 2.5 hours due to railway work.
So I decided to travel on Anzac Day.
The problem would be the bonus, because I planned to start at the last cache of the trail.
It turned out that the bonus puzzle coul be solved by looking at the cache descriptions of the caches along the trail. With the help of the offline viewing possibility of GSAk it was not difficult to solve the puzzle.
on Anzac Day I left my Appartment around 8:20 to catch the bus.
After arriving at the memorial park and a short walk I found my first cache around 09:30h and the last one around 15:30h. Some caches I cold not find because they were gone or were to well hidden.
2 caches I could not look for because people in the neighborhood were watching me.
1 cash I did not attempt due to a parked police car close to the cach location with the officer in the car.
The search of the first cach of this serie I had to abort because I had to catch the train back to be back around 6pm.
At the end of the day I had walked more than 20 km's and had found 52 caches.
Most caches could be found quite easily but some took more time.
Some caches took more time to log than usual due to issues with my pen.
Thanks for this trail,

2970 (2 of 3 today) (Streak day 341)
Decided to head up Windsor Road to grab a few of the multis I'd bypassed when on my caching frenzy on 29 February.
Two of them were right next to each other, so that's as good a spot to start as any.
Found both of them and a puzzle by the same CO as well.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Again it was an easy grab of the information required to calculate GZ. That far away? Oh well.
Trekked there and started the search.
Not there, not there... The search area isn't that big but...
Finally made the find on the third pass. The cache hides well amid the rubbish - one of the problems here, unfortunately.
Completed signing duties and then off to my next target.
And not a magpie to be seen - well I know it's not nesting season.

In need of some "quickish" finds to pay off my debt of favourites. Found this excellent series and drove to Windsor with the bike on the rack. Set off towards Rouse Hill at 10:30. I've had some unpleasant encounters with Magpies in my youth but pleased to say that they were all on their best behaviour today. This one took me a while to find but got there in the end. That makes #9 for today. TFTC.

Multis are not my strength, but this and its neighbour were right up my alley. I guess the ease of both goes well with a power trail such as this. Good fun.
[Blue]# 12989[/Blue] Found on the way back from our 2015 Winter escape to Qld.
Another perfect spring day for a bike ride along the Windsor trail.
Apologies for the standard log, which does not detract from the good hides.
A great trail and I will have to return to do the ones I didn't make it to today.
No magpies here, but I was swooped on several times a bit further along the trail.
Cheers from down south in Wagga Wagga.
Thanks for the cache and the series Morley196,

Not sure about the numbers - it gave me one too many?! But the trained eye sent straight to it - with no baggies about here!

Headed off on my bike today to pick up the remaining caches along the Rouse Hill to Windsor historic trail. I've been attacked here before by this particularly vicious maggie. They usually don't bother me too much when I'm wearing a bike helmet, but this one went for my neck and was ruthless.
This Windsor History Series is my first medium-sized power trail.
Daunted by 14km, Daunted by 65 caches in a day, Daunted by time restraints.
Couldn't take a bike, so we settled for scooters.
All previous results vary - 5, 6, 7, 10 hour trips.
Just psyching myself out.
Parked at Rouse Hill Town Centre and took the bus to Windsor (No rush for the 'last bus back')
Started out Subway 8:20am - (1 hour lunch break) - Finished the Final 2:30.
6 HOURS WITH A 1 HOUR BREAK
Thanks for the series Morley196 - Heaps of work put into this trail, and it's great for number-cachers like me.

9:34 - First multi of the day. Quick number crunching and we were off.
No Magpie sightings today. TFTC

With my 30th birthday approaching in less than two weeks and having just passed 800 finds the competitive side of my brain decided it would be a great challenge to attempt to get to 1000 finds on my birthday. This would also mean that I would attain 1000 finds in 19 months of geocaching. I sat on the idea for a couple of days, I wasn't sure whether it was achievable and whether or not I would have the time to travel to areas which had decent trails. Last night my competitive side got the better of me and I decided that the challenge was on!!
I'd been eyeing off the Windsor to Rouse Hill Power Trail since I first started caching but had never made the time to travel down from the Central Coast to attempt it. I went under the house to find the ancient Malvern Star bike my old man used to have when he was at uni roughly 40 years ago. I did some work cleaning it up in the dark and cold of night and greased the chain so it would be ready for the trip.
I left the Coast at 7:30am this morning and started driving down to Windsor. I grabbed a few caches along the way including one close to home I hadn't found yet and others around Dural. I pulled up at Windsor and was soon on my way.
I was unable to attempt the first cache at the time as there was a function on and tradies working right next to the cache! This would turn into a theme for the day as apparently it was the day council had decided to mow all the nature strips! Thankfully I was able to make most finds with good timing and only had to come back afterwards for a couple. It definitely was a different experience caching in such an open area with soo many muggles about. I found a cache 15m away from a Muslim man who was praying in the direction of Mecca and the cache itself!! I had truck drivers giving me weird looks because I was stopping at electrical poles and other bike riders wondering why I kept on stopping. I also had about 4 people beep me when I was searching, I'm guessing they were geocachers and knew exactly what I was up to!
I managed to go from start to finish of the power trail in 3 hours and 45 minutes with 2 DNF's (one which hasn't been found for a long time and another which I'm sure is gone due to the recent lawn mowing). I had one more DNF which I couldn't search for properly as there were people right on GZ both times I went past.
I managed to sign most logs using WTF instead of my whole name. Some logs weren't signed because they were wet and about 4 others because they were covered in ants! Thanks to everybody who has helped maintain all the caches I've found today!!
TFTC Cheers

Looking at my maps and routes to get up to Lithgow to visit a friend. I found that going through here was another scenic route with a lot of caches to be found. So a few hours stop to go for a ride before continuing on with my journey. Lots of caches were found. Most in great condition. Some had a bit wet log due to the rain but should dry out again and be fine. Overall a great little trail which when i am up in Sydney again i'll come for a ride up here to finish off. Thanks
29/3/15. 7:57 AM. Today was my second leg of the Windsor-Rouse Power Trail, two weeks after my start at Windsor. Once again, I did it on bike. I parked on Princes Street, near "It's Raining Cats and Dogs" (WRPT-31) and headed into Vineyard to start where I had left off last time.
I started with a DNF at "Magpies- Caution" (WRPT-12),
then made 21 finds between "Oval - The shape" (WRPT-13) and "The Governor Drops By" (WRPT-36).
There was one more DNF, at "Vineyard Public School 1872" (WRPT-24).
In addition, "It's Raining Cats and Dogs" (WRPT-31) was disabled and "Earth on a stick!" (WRPT-35) had been archived.
For Magpies, I found the sign and did the calculation easily enough, but struggled to find it amongst the long grass.

Attempting the second leg of the power trail from Rouse Hill to Windsor with geo friend Bluewattle. Was a pleasure doing this section, discovered there was much more history to be learnt the further out we got. This was a nice quick find & TFTC
On our deadly treadlies, today, finally have got around to complete this series, found with Snickersallan
Today Windsor to Rouse Hill with a Geo mob on scooters, Geo bike and trailer and the rest on foot on the power trail. Completed with Team Merlin and Teale.

PK finally pulled me out to do this power trail! We were on foot and finding the cache was still challenging with a pair of eyes and the hint! We still had cih. Tftc Morley...
Caching with AlphaDeltaIndigo. Cache no 14 in the series. Another quick walk and grab.. Go those magpies. TFTC
Ca-ching! That's another find in the Windsor to Rouse Hill series!
Apologies for the generic logs-I have left a more descriptive one on the first and last caches in the series (unless there was something extra to add on a cache!)
Thanks for the hide, Morley196
