Today is a calendar find day but seems this one won't be it. I checked the most likely tree a couple of times (plus all the nearby ones as well) but no cache came to light. When I then saw that it hadn't been found since February, I figured it was time to move on and make my calendar find elsewhere ... which I have now done at a much more scenic location nearby ... and I'm sitting there enjoying the water while logging this DNF.
The hide is no longer viable.
Time to put this one to sleep.
Thanks to all who visited.
Cheers Wesso

Found roddyc's replacement cache pretty quickly, while mum was busy tree climbing nearby. Cheers!
We came across your cache, wesso family, while here for a couple of nights R n R.
Now we had no luck finding a cache here so a call to the CO was in order. Hmm. Certainly no cache, but we have one or two in the Geo Falcon which would be suitable. So after consultation with the CO there now is a cache here. Photos of cache and location sent to CO for future reference. Thanks Wesso.

Had a bit of time to kill on the way to Golden Beach so decided to go a different way. Thanks Wesso's for placing this one here
We are nomads. Having left Perth WA in February 2014 we now live in our caravan and go wherever the will or caches take us.
Staying a few days in Maroochydore, Today we had some shopping to do towards Caloundra so cached around there. Some great locations we were shown thanks to Geocaching.

The GPS had me in the middle of about 5 trees and despite a search on all of them I still do not know which one it is.
Found, although in a place contrary to where the hint indicated. We replaced as found. Tftc
One of the cool things about caching is the strange and sometimes very cool things you see whilst out and about. How amazing are these trees? I took some photos for muggle partner to see; I can't believe the inner tree is still surviving. Tftc wesso family, found in good order once the photos were done.
Out for a day of caching with stortigirls. We parked the geomobile and strolled across the park to GZ. There, the cache was quickly located and the log signed. As we were about to head off, I noticed something unusual. I pointed it out to my caching buddy. We wandered around and around the trees, marveling at Mother Nature. Thanks for bringing us to this interesting spot......and TFTC
Today I had between school hours to nab a few smilies to make an upcoming milestone, and the area around Caloundra was the target.
Thanks **wesso family** for bringing us here, this find makes #3980. Discover our TB

Today we ventured down to Caloundra, this was a tiki tour following the caches along the way.
Scenic views of mountains & seascape. Passed through some new subdivisions as well, some seemed quiet upmarket.
A good variety of caches & hides found.

Staying nearby on holiday from the UK and enjoying the coast. Walked to this park today and thanks to good coordinates soon had the cache.
We parked near GZ and walked on over. We searched for 10 minutes and realized we were looking in the wrong spot[:o)] . Once we discovered where the right spot to search was the cache was soon in hand . Thanks for the cache Wesso Family . TFTC!!!
I took the chance today to look for some caches (I had to return early from the family holiday, due to work).
I started here, and it turned out to be relatively easy, once the GPSr settled and I found the right "one". TFTC Wesso Family. #486.

I was heading out this way to find a couple of other caches and the alert for this one came up on the GPS as I was approaching. It would be impolite not to stop and check it out on the way past.
There were workmen working on the power poles and so I had to watch that I was not larking in front of the traffic control signs. I then headed to the area and waited until the GPS settled and it didn't take long to find the right spot.

Just as I got out of the car and headed off across the park my phone battery died and I lost GPS! Having read the previous logs I decided to follow the advice in one of them and trust my instinct. So deciding what looked most like somewhere I would place a cache my first look came up with nothing. Once I felt around the cache was soon in hand and I realised that the camo was so good I would never have spotted it! Dried out the log and placed with drying sachet in plastic bag. TFTC very well hidden
Took awhile the hint was very misleading. But over all a good hide, found with my family.
Do not read the hint! Cache was where we expected. Log is very wet and soggy. Sorry we didn't have a spare zip lock bag. Found by geodad who may now get more interested. TFTC
**Smilie #4127**
Another foray up north to secure a few more smilies.
Another nice quick find here.
Everything was a little damp.
Dried the container out & aired the log.
Replaced upside down to limit water ingress.
Made our mark & replaced.

#1329 The places geocaching takes you are amazing. Just like this area. Stick to your instincts. Found after trying to work out which one. Neat hide. Thanks Wesso Family.
Found, but gps all over the place, hence the name of cache I suppose. Tnlnsl tftc
A lovely big treed park here with loads of possibilities but GZ brought me to a particular area where I had to hunt for a bit. I took note of the clue and so searched many areas before finding the cache where I found it. Thanks for yet another one of your caches Wesso Family that have added to my enjoyment as I've driven around the area. [^][^]

Tuesday, January 22, 1901. : Queen Victoria of England dies.
England's Queen Victoria was born on 24 May 1819 at Kensington Palace in London. Although christened Alexandrina Victoria, from birth she was formally styled Her Royal Highness Princess Victoria of Kent. Victoria's father died when she was less than a year old. Her grandfather, George III, died less than a week later. Princess Victoria's uncle, the Prince of Wales, inherited the Crown, becoming King George IV. When George IV died in 1830, he left the throne to his brother, the Duke of Clarence and St Andrews, who became King William IV. Victoria was recognised as heiress-presumptive to the British throne, and in 1837, at the age of 18, she succeeded her uncle, William IV, to the throne to become the last monarch of the House of Hanover.
In 1840, Victoria married her first cousin, Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, with whom she had nine children. As well as being queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, she was also the first monarch to use the title Empress of India. Victoria's 64-year reign was marked by enormous growth and expansion of the British empire.
Queen Victoria died on the Isle of Wight on 22 January 1901, having reigned for sixty-three years, seven months, and two days, more than any British monarch before or since.

Spending a few days at Golden Beach on holidays so decided to dust of the geocache app and pick up a few with nic579. This was the sixth of the Golden Beach stroll. Construction through the middle of the park meant the stroll was a bit longer that planned. Found the candidate locations, and nic579 was looking up. Hmm this location looks way more interesting in the others, but perhaps I should look down... With the sunnies on I couldn't see, but one blind grope in the dark had the blighter in hand. TFTC
Cette fois ci nous nous éloignons un peu du bord de mer pour rentrer et logguer une cache de plus à Caloundra. Joli parc. MPLC

Ahh, gotcha! A relief to find this one today as it was one of the first dnfs I had when I first started GC. TFTC
A good tittle as I said just that.We have friends that love the dog friendly caravan park and near by coffee shop. So having to pick up a heater in yandina, on the way back to the gold coast we decided to have a look at the attribute of golden beach. After getting the last space in the park we decided to check out the near by caches. This on was again nabbed by Mr geo although not as fast as the last two.Tftc a great spot to walk with Havana.
A noisy dog alerted the neighbours to my arrival so I was watched by its owner for a while. Once they disappeared back in side, the cache was soon found. Signed and returned to it hiding place. TFTC Wesso Family
Spent a week on the coast with some of my grandchildren and "treasure" hunting was a favourite activity. Thanks for the cache.

Found 27/8/14, but apparently I didn't log it properly. Stealth was required, as someone was keeping an eye on things over their back fence
