Logs
Waters finally receded enough to get near. No log found just a manky wet ziplock bag. Installed a new log in a waterproof film canister.Happy hunting, TFTC
I was in this area for the 2003 cache nearby and had a squiz at what was also around. That's when I noticed alf.Or more specifically, this rare combo. This is the eighth time I've come across it in over five thousand caches. But it was torrential rain most of yesterday. Made for an interesting ground zero. Had to come in by the field and at first started slowly squelching my way around the bushes till eventually I got smart and not long later found the hide. Unfortunately I didn't have more spare paper on me and the one inside was not usable. So I've been forced to take a photo of the wetlands at gz.How bizarre I found three caches in this area and all three I couldn't sign due to manky logbooks. Thanks for hiding a cache here!
Found after some heavy hunting. Much easier pressed when the vegetation is dry. Left some paper for a log.
Found container - inside is all wet and damaged. No log. Have picture if CO needs it
Found container, couldnt sign log as the inside is all wet and yuck. Have picture if CO needs it
Gave up today as hunting through the greenery for Alf has got me very wet. Maybe Ill have a chance to try and look on a dry day next time.
Like some of other searchers, it did take me a while to locate this greenish object. Log is gone, totally damaged - ditto the interior container so I sent CO a photo. My phones GPS was 6 metres off. Trying to hear the vehicular sounds might give you a better find.Nice adventure, hopefully this will be given a new container to keep ALF satisfied again.
Thoroughly rummaged around for 10 minutes and nearly gave up. Then I thought I'd check one more place... And there it was. Inside is thoroughly rusted and wet so here's a pic.
Great to see Alfie is still in his resting place.
A little cutie .
Thanks for this one .

ALF safely found after a deep dive. Cache is wet and not able to sigh so photo sent to CO. Replaced ready for the next finder who hopefully can located it easily.
Thanks Bells Angels for the find.

Looked around for 20 mins in amongst the grass and the spiders but all to no avail.
Did spy this little beauty however…what a stunner!

Thought I’d have a look for this guy after doing the bay run. Sorry but I really didn’t enjoy scaling through the bushes not a great geocaching experience
After a string of DNF's I decided to check on Alf Alf is alive and well. He's been loving the recent weather. I have replaced the innee cache and logbook.
I know there's been 3 DNF's but with sydney weather this cache is very hard to find when wet. I will double check when (and if) the weather improves.
Looked around for a while, couldn’t seem to find it, might have to come back another day
Well, thought I was being a bit hopeful but dropped son at evening AFL game then headed out on a cache hunt. Stumbled across an extremely boggy field in the dark..I'm ok with wellie boots but my small white dog is now mostly...muddy brown! Was definitely on top of GZ and ferreted around with a torch but no luck. Dog enjoyed the hike tho!
Really loved this hide and it took a while even with the hint and photos from others. Found more spiders than cute ALFs until looking from a new angle. Failed geocaching 101 and forgot a writing implement. Photo to show find instead. Don't loik at the photo unless you need a clue!
Tftc Bells Angels, doing a lap of Sydney today to collect a few LGA's.
Made the find here, inner container is looking very sad.
Log is OK

My husband loves this little mountain bike track. Quick find. Photo in previous logs helped heaps
That was a good hiding spot. Took a while but we managed to find the little green guy.
ALF and I both agree:
Green is Good
P.S. at least my nature photography obsession was good for something this time TFTC!

Despite all the clues and roaming everywhere still haven't found it. Next time will bring a 2nd pair of eyes
great hiding spot
cache owner would be advised to change the container, as we broke the lid trying to get it open because it had rusted closed ...

From the hint, previous comments, and the name "ALF", I was pretty sure I knew, generally speaking, what I was looking for. I got excited when I saw something green, but it turnd out to be a false alarm. Oh well, I was able to to a small amount of CITO, which is still a good result. I need this cache for my "81 grid" so I'll come back when we've had a few days without rain as it was a bit damp underfoot.

Spotted it from a short distance and then navigated my way threw the surrounding camo.
Thanks for the cute cache. Have a FP. ️

Geeze! That took way longer than it needed to. The cords are a bit off and the log needs URGENT replacing. While I was looking for Remembering Reg (#GC7W61K), the rest of the family found the cache. Massive spiders we're blocking the entry to the cache. TFTC!!!
OMG... an easy find for gremlinkid #2. Found it in less than 2min. Wow. She's only 5 years old! I was still checking out the GPS coords when she just literally found it.
I’ve had my eye on this one for a while, yet never tried it. Today I got the chance, and, after a few minutes of hunting, I spotted the cache with a slightly damp log. I don’t know why hiders love these spikey plants. Thanks!
#14 Such a cute find! Took a little while because coordinates kept being a bit off. TFTC
Good little hiding spot! Log is a bit munted and could do with a plastic bag to keep it dry.

Lost pen but added temporary log paper to cache. Great hide; fun find! Greetings from Carbondale Illinois USA! TFTC
Phone gps a little jumpy and first led me to the box bike track. Once at the correct location it was a fairly easy find. Tftc
#4650:
I took a bus to Rodd Point this evening to read my book by the bay. I then decided to walk back home to Forest Lodge, and this was my first stopping point.
Despite previous logs saying otherwise, I found the coordinates to be pretty accurate, with only a 4m discrepancy. I spotted the hiding place right away, and soon had the cache in my hand. TFTC.

This is my 307th Found Date filled in on my Calendar (Loop 2).

Over this way for lunch today and we dropped by to awaken this guy and let him know he's not lost. Signed and put him back to bed with a warm, dry blanket. Thanks Bells Angels.
A quick find on a gorgeous afternoon. We’ve been sick at home and needed to get out. Cute container - GZed was stoked! He took a snake and left a smiley bouncy ball. TFTC!
