Lovely church, out walking around Orange after a week of cycling...there's more than one light
Tyftc- absolutely beautiful street with a beautiful church. Stayed at a house opposite for a short holiday.
A cool and fun day of caching around the Southern Tablelands. This cache was a straightforward find in the obvious location.Log was falling apart so we have placed a new one in the existing container. Thanks!
An enjoyable long weekend caching with friends around the Southern Tablelands.Quick find in a beautiful location. TFTC Travelling Sister!
The church I got married in and where my parents and grandparents got married. It is wonderful that there is a geocache here. We completed this cache at the end of a trip up to Cape York QLD.
Thanks for my first find! Beau n I loved the hunt our first of many Im sure hahaha
Found with Zigzoggy and Barbie_OCE. Easy find. Previous post gave it away (unfortunately) tftc
Our first full day in Orange, and a chance to do some serious caching. We had quite a number of pre-solved caches on our agenda as well as others in the area. Our journey took us through a range of different sections of the town; residential, business, retail and some great parks and wetlands areas. We encountered some good hides which we awarded favorites as well as some challenges and straightforward finds. The weather was perfect but as usual got cold all of a sudden later in the day.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Travelling Sister.**SKI Pair****
Catching up with late logs.We are traveling with Geoturtle 37, Papi4506 & The Drovers to do an assault on Bathurst and surrounds. We solved all the puzzles we could before we left home which was also an enjoyable part of this journey. We had a great time here in the Orangearea finding all types of cache sizes and hides but unfortunately we have got behind in our logging and are trying to catch up now.We can no longer remember the caches individually so we apologize for the generic log, it's certainly not meant to take anything away from our experience, it's just the old minds just ain't what they used to be.Many thanks for adding this piece to the game board for our enjoyment.
Day 3 of our Bathurst trip with Team Crackers, Geoturtle37 & Papi4506.Today we did a lot of country driving, and included Orange in our travels. The scenery was lovely with the trees turning a multitude of different colours for winter. All puzzles were solved before the trip. This is one of the caches we stopped to find along the way.A quick search and the cache was located, signed and replaced. Many thanks for placing this cache, Travelling Sister, for us and others to find.
Gotcha . Needed to go to Westpac but had all sorts of dramas trying to find a park for our MotorhomeOrange is not Big Rig friendly. The walk for blocks did us good plus a cache on the way brightened our day TFTC
We are on a ten-day road trip from Sydney around the Central West. In Orange, and enjoying a crisp, sunny autumn day and a late morning tea at nearby By g Street Cafe. Always good to nab a TS/St Mary McK cache. On this one, we were able to avoid the previous finders smashed fingers and had a muggle-free GZ. SL TFTC Cheers Gaztek
A quick find despite the Sunday wandering muggles, thanks to the hint. We found a few of Mary's caches in Victoria, this may be our first in NSW.
A quick find here, cache is all goodHeaded over to the Capital GeoBash in Canberra, ACT with Freddo over 5 days, travelling through the central part of NSW before caching around the hinterlands. A nice few days over with great weather. Thanks for the cache
It is a miracle. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of Oz Mega GeoBash MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team walron, courtney rose, davidwazza, e_smilie, and georode, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Adelaide to Broken HillDay two. Broken Hill to WellingtonDay three. Wellington to CowraDay four. Cowra to BathurstDay five. Bathurst to CanberraDay six. Canberra to CanberraDay seven. Canberra to QueenbeeyanDay eight. Canberra to AdelaideThe generic bit.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. A stealth find before Sunday mass. I have seen the light. SL, Replaced as found,TFTC Travelling Sister
So much easier in the daylight. Was here a couple of years ago at night searched for ages with no luck. Log book was just a couple of scraps of paper but we logged and replaced. Sorry we didnt expect to be caching so didnt have a decent replacement log sheet for it. TFTC1900. 100 more needed before mage at Easter to make it a milestone.
A quick find and sign in stealth mode as a service was happening inside. Had to change levels to access the cache, then rehid as found. Tftc!
On a long and windy road trip from west to east and back again this summer, we stopped in orange this morning. Checking out the local caches, this one should out, least if all because I have enjoyed collecting finds from the series all over Aus.... So, as Mary reminds us, I saw a need to find a Geocsche, so I did something about it! Once at GZ and with the hint in minx, this was a fairly straightforward find. Many thanks for the hide Travelling Sister, #26 for me inin the Mary MacKillop series.
Find #1783A quick find today while we are staying with the in-laws in orange. Log and cache in good condition. TFTC
after i'd settled into my camp for the afternoon, i decided upon a stroll into town. when i saw there was a mary mckillop cache in town i had to include it in my itinerary. in fact it was my first and only cache find for the day, excepting of course the five adventure lab virtual caches in the park down the road.. cache was found not where i was expecting. kinda all out there. i had faith in the hint and it delivered. so.. ???thank you travelling sister for highlighting another place the australian saint touched.
Found with Geo hubby after staying for a night at Peak Hill Showgrounds. Nice hide. Travelling Sister, thank you so much for placing it for everyone to enjoy and highlighting this area. ??
This hide might be a little bit dodgy for future finders. It wasnt somewhere where you would look and see, but somewhere that takes some muscle juice to find that some people wont be comfortable with.It was almost the reason we walked away because I wasnt going to upset the furniture. We dont think it is where it is supposed to be or the gardener and plumber are both smoking the special juice. The highlight of the visit was that we were in the area at the end of the school day and crossed the road with the lollipop man. He told us there was a toll so I beeped him as we walked passed. tftc
We're heading from West Wyalong to Bathurst today on day 6 of our week-long caching road trip, via a round about sort of route to allow me to find a cache in the few remaining NSW counties that I haven't yet visited as a cacher. Orange is the last one of about 10 on this trip ... now I only have 4 left in southern NSW to do to collect all 129.
Thanks for a quick find here Travelling Sister ... another Mary Mac cache for my collection.
Thanks for a quick find here Travelling Sister ... another Mary Mac cache for my collection.
I've found quite few of the Mary mackillop hides here there and everywhere over the years so when I saw that there was one in Orange whilst passing through I thought it fitting to ensure I found this one too.
The hide was a bit tricky at first having us think it may not be there to be found but when I applied a bit of cacher sense the hide was soon discovered.
My thanks go to the travelling sister for placing this cache giving me another peice in the puzzle of Saint Mary mackillops travels and activities during her life.
Much obliged.

Took longer to find than I had hoped, especially on a bleak afternoon after a great lunch with friends at Pellegrini’s nearby. As recorded by previous finders - log is damp and mouldy. I signed on a small sheet of paper and added it the log as my pen wouldn’t write on the damp paper. TFTC
TFTF, lovely building. The stained glass windows are being replaced soon, will be impressive

Decided to stay close to home to find a cache today, so pulled into this one after work. A quick search soon revealed the well hidden cache, which had me thinking a bit along the lines of National Treasure type hide.
