Well this is the day. I have been planned for a few weeks. I have borrowed a bike, helmet and puncher kit. But there is nothing I can do with my 52 year old leg that have not been on a bike for years. I have about 60 on the list for today a ride of about 28 km from Windsor to Rouse Hill and back. Thanks Morley196 for going to the trouble of placing all the cache with on the local history. Well done.
From all the caches I found I only found one clue for the mystery the was for the letter 5. I will need help to complete the mystery. TFTC.

Out and about in the area today finding caches. Big Grin
After finding the nearby challenge cache and few trads on the way I am ready to tackle a section on the power trail. Smile
All caches were quick finds, co-ords awesome and so could keep the heart rate up walking the line. [^]
I managed about 37 of them in total. Big Grin Walking nearly 15km in the process (out and back to the car) Cool
Past the half way point now. Razz Heading west for a few now. Smile
Thanks for the cache.

Couldn't see it and a car tooted at me while I looked around so I walked on. Wonder if it was another cacher?
On the walk back to the station - no there don't seem to be any buses out here, I saw something that matched the cache name, checked the GPS, yes right area and a bit of a search produced a different type of container to the majority on this track.

SL and took the TB to move on.

About 1.5 weeks ago I was looking at the geocaching map of Sydney in search of a nice trail.
I noticed this trail and wanted to know more about it.
After a quick investigation I found out that it was possible to do the trail while walking.
The problem could be how to get there. Luckily the Opal travel app was of great help.
The best option was to start at the end of the trail near Castlebrook Memorial park, a 50 minute bus ride from Sydney. But only if I would not travel on Sunday as the way back from Windsor would take me more then 2.5 hours due to railway work.
So I decided to travel on Anzac Day.
The problem would be the bonus, because I planned to start at the last cache of the trail.
It turned out that the bonus puzzle coul be solved by looking at the cache descriptions of the caches along the trail. With the help of the offline viewing possibility of GSAk it was not difficult to solve the puzzle.
on Anzac Day I left my Appartment around 8:20 to catch the bus.
After arriving at the memorial park and a short walk I found my first cache around 09:30h and the last one around 15:30h. Some caches I cold not find because they were gone or were to well hidden.
2 caches I could not look for because people in the neighborhood were watching me.
1 cash I did not attempt due to a parked police car close to the cach location with the officer in the car.
The search of the first cach of this serie I had to abort because I had to catch the train back to be back around 6pm.
At the end of the day I had walked more than 20 km's and had found 52 caches.
Most caches could be found quite easily but some took more time.
Some caches took more time to log than usual due to issues with my pen.
Thanks for this trail,
W from team c&w

#2779 (29 of 50 today - am I mad?) (Streak day 287)

So, how to celebrate Leap Day? How do I mark this once in every 4 year opportunity - my first as I started caching in 2013?
I'd considered a few possibilities and decided I'd go for my most ever finds in a day. 50 looks like a nice round number.
I'd not tackled **Morley196's** Windsor Road previously - save for two caches grabbed when I was mining the Rouse Hill Regional Park. In fact I'd left it for such an attempt as this.

Even better, there was an event at both ends of the trail - one in the morning and one at night. Perfect!

So I started out by placing two caches of my own, one of which I submitted for publication (and was published later in the day), and one for which I still need to finalise the listing. Then I headed Windsor way to start my walking marathon no bike for me!

At the end of the day I had my 50 caches - 48 traditionals and two events - and my fitness tracker assured me I'd walked 32,000 steps.
My only problem was getting back to the car. I ended up almost 8km from *The Hademobile*, and with no sign of buses or taxis, I simply walked back - grabbing over a heap of munzees on the way back.

And was right on time for the evening's event. Cache #2800 - not a coincidence!

Apologies in advance for totally cut and paste logs but anything else and I'll go mad! Any specific cache comments will be found under under the C&P heading.

Many thanks to **Morley196** for the trail. Incredible effort. Will add a smattering of faves as thanks.
And thanks also to the organisers and attendees at the events. Nice to meet you all again for the first time* (delete whichever is not applicable).

So, the result of toady was I have my final *Found Date*, my final *Hidden Date* and even finds on my own caches for 29 Feb. HUZZAH!

Please excuse me if I don't do something like this again in 4 years time.

16-Jun-15
This Windsor History Series is my first medium-sized power trail.
Daunted by 14km, Daunted by 65 caches in a day, Daunted by time restraints.
Couldn't take a bike, so we settled for scooters.
All previous results vary - 5, 6, 7, 10 hour trips.
Just psyching myself out.

Parked at Rouse Hill Town Centre and took the bus to Windsor (No rush for the 'last bus back')
Started out Subway 8:20am - (1 hour lunch break) - Finished the Final 2:30.
6 HOURS WITH A 1 HOUR BREAK
Thanks for the series Morley196 - Heaps of work put into this trail, and it's great for number-cachers like me.

With my 30th birthday approaching in less than two weeks and having just passed 800 finds the competitive side of my brain decided it would be a great challenge to attempt to get to 1000 finds on my birthday. This would also mean that I would attain 1000 finds in 19 months of geocaching. I sat on the idea for a couple of days, I wasn't sure whether it was achievable and whether or not I would have the time to travel to areas which had decent trails. Last night my competitive side got the better of me and I decided that the challenge was on!!

I'd been eyeing off the Windsor to Rouse Hill Power Trail since I first started caching but had never made the time to travel down from the Central Coast to attempt it. I went under the house to find the ancient Malvern Star bike my old man used to have when he was at uni roughly 40 years ago. I did some work cleaning it up in the dark and cold of night and greased the chain so it would be ready for the trip.

I left the Coast at 7:30am this morning and started driving down to Windsor. I grabbed a few caches along the way including one close to home I hadn't found yet and others around Dural. I pulled up at Windsor and was soon on my way.

I was unable to attempt the first cache at the time as there was a function on and tradies working right next to the cache! This would turn into a theme for the day as apparently it was the day council had decided to mow all the nature strips! Thankfully I was able to make most finds with good timing and only had to come back afterwards for a couple. It definitely was a different experience caching in such an open area with soo many muggles about. I found a cache 15m away from a Muslim man who was praying in the direction of Mecca and the cache itself!! I had truck drivers giving me weird looks because I was stopping at electrical poles and other bike riders wondering why I kept on stopping. I also had about 4 people beep me when I was searching, I'm guessing they were geocachers and knew exactly what I was up to!

I managed to go from start to finish of the power trail in 3 hours and 45 minutes with 2 DNF's (one which hasn't been found for a long time and another which I'm sure is gone due to the recent lawn mowing). I had one more DNF which I couldn't search for properly as there were people right on GZ both times I went past.

I managed to sign most logs using WTF instead of my whole name. Some logs weren't signed because they were wet and about 4 others because they were covered in ants! Thanks to everybody who has helped maintain all the caches I've found today!!

TFTC Cheers

29/3/15. 8:52 AM. Cache #2369. Streak day #280. Today was my second leg of the Windsor-Rouse Power Trail, two weeks after my start at Windsor. Once again, I did it on bike. I parked on Princes Street, near "It's Raining Cats and Dogs" (WRPT-31) and headed into Vineyard to start where I had left off last time.

I started with a DNF at "Magpies- Caution" (WRPT-12),
then made 21 finds between "Oval - The shape" (WRPT-13) and "The Governor Drops By" (WRPT-36).

There was one more DNF, at "Vineyard Public School 1872" (WRPT-24).
In addition, "It's Raining Cats and Dogs" (WRPT-31) was disabled and "Earth on a stick!" (WRPT-35) had been archived.

I remember my ex-GF loved that HP stuff but it's not even that good...

On the 26th of October, Patches108, 88jaz88 and I made the commute to Sydney's north-west to complete the imfamous powertrail. We arose at 5am and ventured forth on the train, arriving in Schofields. Armed with a scooter, skateboard and ripstik, we struggled our way through the series, collecting 68 caches for the day. We had a stack each and a really hot chilli pie in the middle of our 20km day, grabbing a total of 68 caches! Thanks for the range of caches, adventure and cool spots. We may have signed as "CC" or "CCC" during our day. Our route can be viewed here: http://www.strava.com/activities/200466265

88jaz88, Cccritter and I set of at 5-30 on a massive trip into Western Sydney, planning to grab a large amount of caches. Onto the train at 5-43, off a train, on another, then off again. After 3 and a half chorus of travel, we jumped off at Schofields Station to grab the first cache. We then made our way through Schofields to Windsor Road, grabbing a few caches, then started the massive power trail. Apart a few crashes on our scooter/skateboard/RipStik, we made it through to Windsor after a couple of rests and food breaks. We then grabbed some caches through Windsor before getting to the train station, where we did it all over again, getting back home 4 hours later, tired, exhausted, but elated after a fun day filled with a lot of awesome caches.

Thanks for the cache
