All about timing due to where this cache is. Waited for the traffic to die down and grabbed and signed without any problems. All good. TFTC

Out and about grabbing a few caches along the trail today with omegaman1971 and we decided to tackle this series while we were out this side of town. Initially we overlooked this hide (don't know how??) but we soon doubled back and had the cache in hand. Thanks The Trail Crew for the hide.
The last find for the hcrt series.. what a great series of all different cache types.. thanks for placing these for our enjoyment.. a fav point for the whole series...thanks...
No smell here anymore. This is such a busy road. Had to wait for a break in traffic. Nice hide.
Found it, with dpianta! Looping back around on our Victorian caching morning, we found this one relatively quickly. I liked the hiding method - the more obvious the less you think like a cacher. Tftc.
So a plan was hatched and a weekend caching on the HCRT was organised by StrangeTrousers in attendance were – StrangeTrousers, LuckyL10n, Geosnag1 and myself all on your trusty dirt bikes for the first day. It was a beautiful day to be out on the trail. Start point was “North Bandy” and we finished up with a stunning sunset at “all Aboard”. What a brilliant way to spend a long weekend on our bikes caching with some of most beautiful water views I have seen in quite a while. Loved the caches and containers that kept us guessing throughout the day. Off to bed to get up and continue the adventure.
All logs signed as “LSGC” being LuckyL10n, StrangeTrousers, Geosnag1 and CBRChic.

2794 9 of 10 today.
I'm on a last-minute 4-day long weekend down to Albury from Canberra. I was last here back in November on the way to/from the South Coast mega-event. Lots of unfinished business here, although I fully expect to return this coming November. It was hot today again, the news said 34C, but it was bearable.
Today was my 'big' day and the real reason I'm down here. Finding caches by kayak. I noticed there were a few down this way & when I was casting about for destinations, this is what did it for me. I've never been on the Murray either. A small tributary, the Murrumbidgee flows past my home in Canberra. but this is the real thing. I noted the new "Mighty Murray" series is being neglected & thought I could help.
A quick drive-by to make up numbers for the day.

We travelled from Canberra to do the HCRT over 2 days. We brought our bikes with us, and also had time to do a little caching around the Albury area.
We loved this trail. The bush, riding near cows and farms, over many small bridges and a very long bridge. There were a few DNFs along the way but also plenty of wild life to be found. The fresh water of Lake Hume is a haven to birds and kingfishers were a common sight, along with plenty of other rosellas and water birds. We encountered a couple of brown snakes, a beautiful blue-tongued lizard and generally just loved the views of the lake and the bush. As it was a weekday, the trails were quiet, and we passed almost no-one along the way. Day 1 was from Wodonga to Sandy bay Creek and return,...all up a 52 km ride, and the next day we parked at Tallangatta and headed out and back in two directions to collect the caches from each end. ( (about 35 km all up).
Thanks to The Trail Crew for such a great series. I hope it is maintained and lasts into the future. Many of the logs were full and cache containers a little tattered.

Found at 0914. Staying in the border region for a few days doing a bit of sight seeing and geocaching. Spotted this one as I got out of the car. Didn't smell any thing though. TFTC.
Tftc. Nice and quick find on my evening walk. Lots of little flying bugs around have to keep my eyes and mouth closed lol
Another very quick find here, cattle yards were empty today though.
Log signed the 4B's to include Landyman123, Pinkducks, Legoman9494 and myself.
All in good order, thanks for the cache!!!

Back in Albury again, but this time I brought family. klbooth, Landyman123, Pinkducks and Legoman9494 are out from England for Summer. Apparently this is better than their summer. I wanted to finish off this series while I could, so today's efforts was to hike from the cows to Maccas (teenagers understand such destinations). Quick find here, and yes, we noticed the smell.
Thanks for placing this cache, The Trail Crew. Found in good condition.

#1760 This cache was a quick find on this very rainy day. Lots of puddles to avoid.
I came from Canberra to spend 2 days caching along this High Country Rail Trail by push bike. It was a great experience. Loved the old train stations, views of Lake Hume, the variety and styles of caches, overflowing rivers and floodplains and wonderful rolling green hillsides. I found a total of 89 caches.

2nd of 6 finds with theredfox. Found very fast, pain to get it tho. Did swap, signed & replaced!
I didn't smell anything there as the wind was behind me, but could see where the olfactory nerves may be upset if the cache was downwind TFTC The Trail Crew
Found while exploring the trail as a possible riding destination during the NSW school holidays. Mini Rose and I explored while the other geoscouts were at the Albury Gangshow practise hence we searched in the dark and were delighted with the find especially this hanging hide. We enjoyed walking along the bike trail in the dark and finding the caches by torchlight. Thanks for the cache on the tail, we will be back to ride along the trail.
Travelling around Australia, waiting out the Easter rush at Lake Hume with Smokie5054.
With a traumatic day of yesterday behind us. Today Mrs Felix dropped Mr Felix and Mr Smokie up at the Army Cinema to ride back to camp at Huon Reserve.
Long, casual day riding, in perfect weather and great company arriving home just in time for happy hour...... perfect day.

A long weekend and another trip with the geo 'rents and geobro'. What a cool way to spend Easter
Headed for Albury for 2 nights and then Bendigo for 1 night and we took each day as the caches came. A turn here, a turn there, a dirt track here and there and miles and miles of bitumen [^]
LOL, I've just seen one of geobro's cache logs and it reads very much like mine
Although he forgot to mention that he not so kindly shared his viral germs with geomum and I! [xx(]
Today (day 2) I found 76 caches and had 4 DNFs
We did note that it was a shame that so many of the log books were either full or in a sad state.
I'm sorry but I didn't have spare logs with me to have been able to refresh them.
Without our pushbikes and not having a horse, we were left doing these caches on Shank's Pony
We managed to find a few of this series in this pretty area with great views before geobro decided that he was starving and he neded food ....one day he will learn to bring snacks with him
So we left the rest and headed off to find breakfast and lunch
Most of these were easy finds with just a few sneaky, tricky cache hides thrown in and they all added to the enjoyment of our day

We're off on a four day geofamily (Geodad: moneydork, Geomum:Tounga, Geosis: locus cache and geobro: ME) road trip adventure heading to Albury and Bendigo. A lot of miles were covered, many sights seen, lots of laughs, mirth and merriment during the trip. Oh, we found a few caches along the way as well.
Another find on the HCRT.
Thanks for the cache The Trail Crew.

Locuscache, Sushilord, Mrs Dork (Tounga) and I decided to explore Victoria and during the Easter long weekend.
We enjoyed visiting Lake Hume but only didn't a few of the series as we were caching by car rather than by bicycle. We intend to return and complete the series, ideally by bicycle sometime in the future, TFTC.

As with most years we found ourselves with a break up in the North East between Christmas and New Years.
We headed into Albury/Wodonga for a spot of caching.
Managed to find this one on our travels.

#1790 Today being a rare cooler day we brushed the cobwebs off the geobikes and hit the rail trail starting at Bandiana and turning around at Huon doing every second cache along the way. In total we racked up about 44kms and 51 caches and hopefully rode off some Christmas pudding.
This was the 48th find, and a quick find. No offensive smell here, but there was certainly a strange smell a bit further down the trail from here we didn't particularly enjoy. Tftc and series Trail Crew.

[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there The Trail Crew. We found your cache "What's That Smell? - HCRT series" at 7:35:00 AM today. This cache makes our find count 12153.

Today is our second day in Wodonga. Last time we were in the area we attempted most of the HCRT series from the Tallangatta end. Hopefully we will be able to complete the trail from the Bandiana end before we leave.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt,
Regards

Found with the lovely Logan Geocaching group after an eventful day! Thanks for the incredible cache!
Out caching this morning with The Storm Man. Beautiful day. Was able to get the start of this awesome trail done. Nice quick finds all the way. Thanks for the series.
Out with Joelisa for one more day to hit some more caches. Left at 7.30am and headed into Albury. Very successful morning and lots of fun too. It wasn't too hot as well which made the trip even better. unfortunately we didn't have any bikes so we had to drive/walk this one. Took a bit longer but was still a really nice trail. Just scratched the surface of this one before we had to leave. Tftc
Found on our journey back from the Mega in Stanthorpe. We hoped to avoid some nasty weather and put a dent in the HCRT series even if we couldn't complete it this trip.
A nice early start and a big breakfast and we headed in the other direction towards Wodonga.

Quick find by geokids. #7 for the morning. Rain seems to be hanging around.....
Found with Snickersallan, Fit02 and Muggle buddy. Planning on completing the Power Rail Trail today
Came down from the Gold Coast to especially do this great series, it was a great riding track and quite scenic and all caches were great to find and all in good order. Found with Bluewattle and TFTC
I had recently purchsed a new bike so this trail was going to be its test today as I set off from Bandiana with this series in mind. In the end I went as far as the other side of Sandy Creek bridge and had a ball. I think I found 61 caches in this series without a DNF plus a few other assorted caches on the way. I moved my car along to some of the reserves to save a long ride back and that plan worked perfectly. The caches are in great order after all this time. No reptiles were found apart from the ones you are aware of .
Still following the busy roads at this stage.
Thanks trail crew for this series and I will have to return to do the remaining 45 another day..

Only benefit to having go to Wodonga everyday is when I get the chance to do a cache. Generally when I say I just want to quickly stop.for a cache I get frowned upon but because this one wasn't a big detour from our way home I was allowed to stop I did take my daughter with me and I'm glad I did cause I had trouble getting it. Thanks.for the fun
Up from Melbourne visiting friends and I ducked out for a quick stroll in the morning to grab some caches and enjoy the views.
The smell of steak cooking on the BBQ, if only I could get Paul The Hippy around for a burger and sausage. Quick find.

Moving right along, where could this one be? Oh, there it is - a nice little hide that was in hand at 11:35 after a short search.

Spent the day in Albury area today caching while the missus worked nearby. With bike in the car I decided to tackle the rail trail in the short time I had 0 by car and bike.
Quiet the warm day and no sunscreen and little water- glad I didn't attempt the whole trail in one day!
Really enjoyed the section I did today and each of the hides were in interesting areas and were able to be spotted and signed quickly. Thanks Trail crew for a fantastic power trail!

Well the weekend was upon us and the planned Geomission with specimenX and FurfacesLL in Albury/Wodonga was here
We had been planning this weekend for sometime now and had been busy solving puzzles in preparation for the weekend. We spent the weekend doing the HCRT trail, some of the HSS series and some surrounding areas.
Officially day 1 of the attack on Albury/Wodonga area. Today we had plans to attack the HCRT Trail via pushbike and collect some random ones along the way also.
FurfacesLL and specimenX went off on the pushies while I went off in the geomobile to meet them at certain locations and continue the trail on foot. Logging duties completed and on we went.

Headed to Albury this long weekend on a Geomission with Rapidlywild and specimenX.
Today was the day to attack the HCRT trail, not starting out as early as we should have this was going to be interesting to see if we would actually completely finish it. SpecimenX and myself on the bikes and Rapidlywild in the geomobile.
This trail was indeed a lovely ride with some great company and chatter to take our minds off some slight inclines along the way but we were also rewarded with some really stunning views.
The torches have now been deployed to travel by and search for the caches.
Another one ticked off on our journey, logging duties performed and then on our way again.

#2346 The smell was not too bad and one we are familiar with. Quite a lot of water lying around after last night's down pour. We managed to find a spot to make our mark on the log sheet, but it is very full. SL at 5.20pm and we are enjoying a pleasant walk on a mild spring evening. TFTC The Trail Crew.
Need a new log. Found it while on my 3km loop walk over lunch, 4 caches on this small loop all within 2km. TNLN
