Quick find on the way to maccas to treat the kids. Just needed to kill 30 min on the way. TFTC
Want to get as many caches in my spare time over Christmas and this was the easiest on the way home - quickly found and signed. TFTC
Our last cache before returning to Mahers Road where we were parked with a lot of uphill to ride on a hot afternoon.......but before that, we stopped at Kiewa River to cool off. With wet clothes acting as personal air cons we were beautifully refreshed cause that river was freezing! TFTC The Trail Crew.
Last find for tonight with Kestal. A quick find here in the dark. TFTC The Trail Crew
TFTC Thank you for going to the effort of hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
Found by Xyleigh with assistance from Cienna, Jess and Craig. Nice hide TFTC.
So a plan was hatched and a weekend caching on the HCRT was organised by StrangeTrousers in attendance were – StrangeTrousers, LuckyL10n, Geosnag1 and myself all on your trusty dirt bikes for the first day. It was a beautiful day to be out on the trail. Start point was “North Bandy” and we finished up with a stunning sunset at “all Aboard”. What a brilliant way to spend a long weekend on our bikes caching with some of most beautiful water views I have seen in quite a while. Loved the caches and containers that kept us guessing throughout the day. Off to bed to get up and continue the adventure.
All logs signed as “LSGC” being LuckyL10n, StrangeTrousers, Geosnag1 and CBRChic.

#7373 - 14:50; A plan was hatched a few weeks back with StrangeTrousers and CBRCHIC to tackle the High Country Rail Trail (HCRT) from Wodonga to Tallangatta this weekend. They had gone ahead last night with Geosnag1 to do a park run this morning while I took a leisurely trip caching my way along the Barton Highway and on down the Hume to Albury this morning to join them. After a bite to eat in Albury, we made it south of the border to Wodonga and the HCRT this afternoon. After dropping the geomobile at our estimated finishing spot near All Aboard in readiness, it was back to North Bandy and the bikes. It was a fun ride along the trail where we enjoyed some idyllic country scenery in the early stages, some old abandoned railway platforms and finally some lake views as we headed east. Apologies for the largely generic logs. We found all of the caches we were after today, often resorting to the cache name for guidance when we got a little stuck and signing logs as LSGC. Most were in good condition, although some had seen better days. TFTC The Trail Crew
#3077 4 of 36 today.
Out with CBRChic, LuckyL10n & Geosnag1. We've been planning this trip for a while and finally we've got it together and hit the trail. Today was a fantastic day's caching out along the HCRT starting at "North Bandy" and finishing up just after sunset at "All Aboard". The scenery was amazing, particularly out along the Hume dam with the sun slowly setting behind us. CC took some pictures that I'm sure she will include in her logs. I particularly enjoyed the remaining little station platforms on the way. I had my doubts we could find all the caches planned before it got dark, but we did comfortably in the end. No DNFs (yay). We came close once, but I had my eye in today. I hope it's still working tomorrow,

#2034 I was here from Canberra 7 months ago, but was unable to get to GZ for these 3 caches due to the flooded road. Today, as i was passing through again, I was able to make the quick find. Thanks TT Crew.
What a great series. We spotted the series and that resulted in us driving from the southern highlands down across the border for 3 days of caching. With two young geokids we had to split up the series and manage what we could each day in hot weather. The occasional dip in the lake to cool off then off again.
We managed to find almost every one and the titles were often very helpful. TFTS.
Like many others writing a generic log is not great but to be honest we have hit that many caches it is tricky to remember every individual one!

We travelled from Canberra to do the HCRT over 2 days. We brought our bikes with us, and also had time to do a little caching around the Albury area.
We loved this trail. The bush, riding near cows and farms, over many small bridges and a very long bridge. There were a few DNFs along the way but also plenty of wild life to be found. The fresh water of Lake Hume is a haven to birds and kingfishers were a common sight, along with plenty of other rosellas and water birds. We encountered a couple of brown snakes, a beautiful blue-tongued lizard and generally just loved the views of the lake and the bush. As it was a weekday, the trails were quiet, and we passed almost no-one along the way. Day 1 was from Wodonga to Sandy bay Creek and return,...all up a 52 km ride, and the next day we parked at Tallangatta and headed out and back in two directions to collect the caches from each end. ( (about 35 km all up).
Thanks to The Trail Crew for such a great series. I hope it is maintained and lasts into the future. Many of the logs were full and cache containers a little tattered.

Found at 1309. Staying in the border region for a few days doing a bit of sight seeing and geocaching. Our last for the day. TFTC. and the series.
Found it 19-7-16 with my partner in crime aka Jess. Took us a while to figure out where it was but we found it eventually.
Saw some very fresh evidence of cows but no animals visible today a quick find I. Hen offical place tftc TheTrl Crew
Found this one this morning with a couple of work muggles who came along to see what geocaching is all about. Plus what better way to do a little PT than to find some Caches while out and about on the HCRT .1 of 6 for today TFTC - The trail Crew.
Travelling around Australia, waiting out the Easter rush at Lake Hume with Smokie5054.
With a traumatic day of yesterday behind us. Today Mrs Felix dropped Mr Felix and Mr Smokie up at the Army Cinema to ride back to camp at Huon Reserve.
Long, casual day riding, in perfect weather and great company arriving home just in time for happy hour...... perfect day.
We replaced the logsheet here it was full.

A long weekend and another trip with the geo 'rents and geobro'. What a cool way to spend Easter
Headed for Albury for 2 nights and then Bendigo for 1 night and we took each day as the caches came. A turn here, a turn there, a dirt track here and there and miles and miles of bitumen [^]
LOL, I've just seen one of geobro's cache logs and it reads very much like mine
Although he forgot to mention that he not so kindly shared his viral germs with geomum and I! [xx(]
Today (day 2) I found 76 caches and had 4 DNFs
We did note that it was a shame that so many of the log books were either full or in a sad state.
I'm sorry but I didn't have spare logs with me to have been able to refresh them.
Without our pushbikes and not having a horse, we were left doing these caches on Shank's Pony
We managed to find a few of this series in this pretty area with great views before geobro decided that he was starving and he neded food ....one day he will learn to bring snacks with him
So we left the rest and headed off to find breakfast and lunch
Most of these were easy finds with just a few sneaky, tricky cache hides thrown in and they all added to the enjoyment of our day

We're off on a four day geofamily (Geodad: moneydork, Geomum:Tounga, Geosis: locus cache and geobro: ME) road trip adventure heading to Albury and Bendigo. A lot of miles were covered, many sights seen, lots of laughs, mirth and merriment during the trip. Oh, we found a few caches along the way as well.
Another find on the HCRT.
Thanks for the cache The Trail Crew.

Locuscache, Sushilord, Mrs Dork (Tounga) and I decided to explore Victoria and during the Easter long weekend.
We enjoyed visiting Lake Hume but only didn't a few of the series as we were caching by car rather than by bicycle. We intend to return and complete the series, ideally by bicycle sometime in the future, TFTC.

Another good spot to hide a cache - thanks for the interesting notes - much appreciated.

#1789 Today being a rare cooler day we brushed the cobwebs off the geobikes and hit the rail trail starting at Bandiana and turning around at Huon doing every second cache along the way. In total we racked up about 44kms and 51 caches and hopefully rode off some Christmas pudding.
This was the 47th find, we just passed some cows to this cache as we were on the return journey, we didn't spot any cows on the ride out though. For the record they didn't bite, in fact they barely moved. Good hide here too. Tftc and series Trail Crew.

Today is our third day in Wodonga. Last time we were in the area we attempted to complete the HCRT series from the Tallangatta end. This time we hope to complete the trail from the Bandiana end before we leave town.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt,
Regards

Out caching this morning with The Storm Man. Beautiful day. Was able to get the start of this awesome trail done. Nice quick finds all the way. Thanks for the series.
Out with Joelisa for one more day to hit some more caches. Left at 7.30am and headed into Albury. Very successful morning and lots of fun too. It wasn't too hot as well which made the trip even better. unfortunately we didn't have any bikes so we had to drive/walk this one. Took a bit longer but was still a really nice trail. Just scratched the surface of this one before we had to leave. Tftc
Found on our journey back from the Mega in Stanthorpe. We hoped to avoid some nasty weather and put a dent in the HCRT series even if we couldn't complete it this trip.
A nice early start and a big breakfast and we headed in the other direction towards Wodonga.

Great day out for a bike ride in the rain with Wackyweedos. Kids couldn't believe they got to ride through water across the road to find this one. Thanks for the series.
Found with Snickersallan, Fit02 and Muggle buddy. Planning on completing the Power Rail Trail today
Came down from the Gold Coast to especially do this great series, it was a great riding track and quite scenic and all caches were great to find and all in good order. Found with Bluewattle and TFTC
I had recently purchsed a new bike so this trail was going to be its test today as I set off from Bandiana with this series in mind. In the end I went as far as the other side of Sandy Creek bridge and had a ball. I think I found 61 caches in this series without a DNF plus a few other assorted caches on the way. I moved my car along to some of the reserves to save a long ride back and that plan worked perfectly. The caches are in great order after all this time. No reptiles were found apart from the ones you are aware of .
Now on a back road and about to get away from all the noise. Loving it so far.
Thanks trail crew for this series and I will have to return to do the remaining 45 another day..

Down to Albury for less than happy reasons, but today I had spare time and really really needed to 'clear my head'. Now, normally I am not a huge fan of powertrails, but I wanted some numbers for a goal, I needed the exercise, and the Sandy Creek bridge looked cool - and the day turned out to be overcast and not too hot for most of my walk. Perfect. So I walked 25kms. Picked up 55 s and actually enjoyed myself. Interesting placements, great containers, a couple of DNFs (you get that), and the views ... oh wow the views. Spectacular. I can highly recommend this trail (and have already back home). Top stuff.
But they might ... Reckoned this cache would be exposed, but I guess muggles are all blind anyway. This was my final find before getting picked up and taken away to drink stuff. I have muchly enjoyed the HCRT experience today. My thanks to the COs one and all. Till next visit.
Thanks for placing this cache, The Trail Crew. Found in good condition.
