Finally got to this one yesterday and as I thought, it's gone missing. So as a result and the amount of work that went into this one I've decided to archive it.

26-Feb-14
With two DNFs, it looks like this one may have gone missing in action. Will check it ASAP and log what I find.

26-Feb-14
Found a twig that wasn't growing out the trunk, but zilch inside.... Hmmm, was this a test drill, or a missing log... Or nothing at all.... Or do I also need a ladder?

23-Feb-14
Looked for ages on this cache and came up with narda, zero, zilch.....you get the picture!!!!

22-Nov-13
Well this cache is my favorite of the day as after searching and signing I got to watch 2 mother Pukeko's and the chicks, 3black fluff balls with legs feeding in the reeds. Times like this I wish I had my camera! Thanks great place for a cache and great camo.

Found 15:10, after a brief search.

TNLN, thanks Mulga Bill.

What a beautiful tranquil park, even at night! Quant sounds of ducks quacking was so peaceful. Wet muddy ground was no deterrent for me tonight!!!

25-Apr-13
found it and is still in great shape

22-Apr-13
Our first every cache. It was a family affair, but Husband, the reluctant Geocacher spotted it. I think he's newly converted.

Imaginative hide - easy Fav. Thanks for bringing me to this great park.

Wow awesome cache Mulga Bill!! I arrived at GZ at about 9:30am and the site was empty except for a car that pulled up behind mine not long after, thinking she may be another cacher, and I thought 'good, we can find it together coz these spider webs are driving me mad!' But no one exited the car. Oh well...I kept searching with the hint in mind then I spied something...apprehensive at first but brilliant camo!!! After signing the log I went for a walk, there are many water birds here and I saw a lone pelican perched on a buoy. What a massive bird! It's ancestors date back 30 million years!! Thank you for the sneaky clever cache.

We really did enjoy finding this extremely well camoed cache that was so well made and really blended into its enviroment. Beautiful park and playground with such a lot of ducks and moorhens enjoying the lake and the day too.
We took a photo for our collection of innovative caches.
TFTC Mulga Bill and bringing us to this much changed swamp!!

Found it at night ! Your gonna have to look pretty close for this one. Good work

05-Feb-13
Had to have a quick visit to Watergardens to get the computer repaired and decided to get a few smileys whilst waiting.

A nice little area and one I had not visited before. Great that they have kept past residents memories alive. A very sneaky and clever hide that blends well with the surrounds.

Thanks for the cache Mulga Bill

26-Jan-13
Decided to get on our bikes to get this one today, thanks to our car gps's idea of where we needed to park. Was actually a nice ride to GZ though, very quiet on our very early start to Australia day. The cache was well camoflagued and found to good condition, TFTC

It was like dejavu for me today.

Spotted the clever hide quickly.

Was signing the log and soon on my merry way.

Had a little time this morning at work to divert to this cache, and so glad I did.
This is an example of a cache owner who takes pride in creating a smile within the smilie
by creating something just a little different from the norm.
Absolutely loved this hide, and the story that goes with it.
Thanks Mulga Bill, got to give this one a fave

Found 9.50am
Even though it was still early there was a number of people walking dogs and kids play on the nearby playground. Managed to get to GZ unoticed and quickly found the very nice container. This one could have taken us a lot longer to find.

Thanks Mulga Bill

Found at 10:51am while out for some caches on the way to a lunch with my family, then heading onto the Buried Treasure event at Point Lonsdale. I had a long and adventurous day that included a security guard, a speeding fine, great caches and a generally good day (despite the fine).

When I arrived in the cache area, I was sure I knew where it was hidden and the sort of container to expect. How please I am to say I was wrong!! I have seen a couple of containers like this before and it is always a nice surprise to come across something like this that Mulga Bill has obviously put some time and effort into. This is my second cache for the day and my second favourite point of the day!

Thanks for the cache great Mulga Bill.

Came past last week with old data, didn't even look due people in the playground. Pleased to see it's now nowhere near that area. Neat little construction, placed a mark in what appeared to be a blank logsheet.... Thanks.

Thanks for alerting me Alansee. I'll get to this and fix the problem as soon as I can.

Update: Paid a visit to this one this morning and could find no trace of it. It will remain off-line until I can make a new one.

I feel that I should only do half a log
as I only found half a cache.
So I am only using the left half.
Knowing that it had been found
where it wasn't, I looked in both
places and found half the cache
in situ. I therefore checked the other
place for the rest, to no avail.
I have placed a temporary log but
obviously some maintenance is
in order.
What I saw was quite good!
Can I give half a favourite?

Good one!
Great hide
Thanks Mulga Bill for bring me here and cache

10-Nov-12
Found with saza22 and BF on our way to Calder Park.
Noticed the hide as we approached GZ and thought to myself that I hadn't seen any of these for a long time.
So we start looking for the cache and about 5 mins later saza22 says found it........ again...
I look in the area she had been in previously and am not seeing it, she indicated if I was much closer I would be touching it. Ahhhhhhh got it

Great hide Mulga Bill thankyou

Suscoe's 7th find on a day out in the west!
Well "it was" so we signed the log and placed it back where we thought that it best fitted.
Nice bit of work Mulga Bill.
It seems that a festival is either coming or has just been this morning.
Thanks for bringing us here, no wellies needed today!

My husband had just bought me gumboots too and today they were on my feet!
The area is very much improved and your camo was something similar to what I have been mulling around in my head for some time. -Too slow you, might add!.
Loved the spot and TFTC Mulga Bill

Ahhhh.....Mulga Bill. You really do do beautiful work. I saw that you had replaced this one so it was on my radar. As I finished work nearby , I thought great opportunity .
Strange how it happens , I walked straight up to it. Must have taken 10sec. I guess that's justice for the hour that I spent here previously.
As luck would have it, I met up with a very nice chap , Riddell .
Had a good chat about all things caching and the high quality of your work.
Thanks Mulga Bill. Luv ya work. Smile
Always a pleasure.
Cheers

I'm taking this one down until I can verify reports that it may have gone missing.

Pretty sure the cache has been nicked.
Only a nail remains!
I knew I should have got to it earlier.

Checked on this one this morning and all ok again.

My second mulga bill cache of the afternoon that saw me find two caches on my way home, with a short detour.
Luckily I spotted this cache quite quickly as it is a devil of a hide.
No gumboots required this afternoon either

It ended up being a pretty big caching day today with a 200 km drive from the Mornington Peninsula up to the eastern Bendigo region, namely around Wellsford, Forestville and Mount Sugarloaf. My main aim for the day was to reach my 5000th cache find, and hopefully finding the 'Milestone Challenge - 5000 Finds' cache as number 5000. Once the challenge caches were done it was off to Mount Sugarloaf for some 4X4 action before meeting up with my TDC compadre Trailrunning as we spent a few hours and tackled the 'Smiley face' series of caches.

Once we had completed that it was back to Melbourne to join up with the third TDC member Blacklegend with whome we had some dinner with before setting of again and caching on into the night. I had a great day and did find my 5000th cache, and some.

With Bendigo done it was back to Melbourne and TDC caching again. The area I live in now sounds like it was similar with a swamp and pond behind my property, now as estate. Ahh the good ole days. Cache found, nice hide, and log signed; thanks.

18-Sep-12
A limited TDC run with the boys this week. Met up with them after they had completed their Bendigo caching activities for dinner then a small caching run. I needed to be up very early the next morning, so not a bad thing this time. Got to do some new caches and visit some I had done in the past, which was ok as well. Overall, while a short night, a satisfying one.

With all our sets of eyes searching for this one, it was found without a problem. Great hide too by the way. Well done. Fav point and TFTC. Will test many, many people out.

18-Sep-12
My caching days are few and far between, so when I actually get to go caching, it always seems to come at a rush. Today was no exception. I started out in the Bendigo area (it seems I was only here a few days ago!) to meet up with Quasar3671 to take on the Smiley Face series out this way. As Blacklegend and I had done some of the caches in the area, Quasar3671 started earlier in the morning to pick up a few, and then we met at about 1 pm before tackling the caches Blacklegend had already completed. After about 4-5 hours of caching those were done and dusted we moved south to the outer Northwest of Melbourne to meet up with Blacklegend for dinner and to start the TDC run. By the end of the night I had picked up 46 or so caches for the day and I was ready to head home to bed.

A tricky hide this one, but it wasn't long before we were signing the log. It is a good example of what can be done with a cache, and the first of this kind I have seen. I just hope a curios kid doesn't spy it! Thanks

I knew a Mulga Bill cache would test me, that it has. I've searched for 30mins and my lunch break is up. Now I'm cache less and hungry.
Clues invited.
Thanks Mulga.

Wow. What a great effort with this hide. Thanks Mulga Bill. I don't know what the local muggles thought about this strange woman walking around in circles checking out the terrain..... It took me quite a while before suddenly the hide was in eyesight and I thought "of course - how clever". Cubsgrasshopper, having found it before me was standing by on the phone to provide hints but I was determined to find it without help. TFTC. Smile

Monday's a lazy recovery day with short-stuff, so while an FTF hunt was tempting, I decided to catch up on the gardening instead. It was surprising how long it took for the first post to come up. Congrats, Alsume.

Muggled out of my first caching attempt of the morning by workmen and machinery, I figured it was time to check out Mulga Bill's latest hide.

That playground is a beauty; I'll have to remember it's there. It was empty at this time of the morning, so I was able to search GZ in peace. Checking out a couple of possibilities, I found myself in the right position to catch something out of the corner of my eye... Mulga Bill collects yet another fave point.

Will I get that FTF?

Saw this had not been logged, the weather was great, so why not! Arrived to see the fantastic playground nearby being well occupied - and hoped it was far enough away as I got out of the car. Fortunately it was, but it still took me quite a while to spot this hide. Eventually I was at the right position to spot it and the very blank log was signed at 11:15am for another Alsume FTFBig GrinBig GrinBig Grin NB No gumboots necessaryWink
Thanks mulga bill - worth a fave point for the work to create the camo.
