Klein aber fein. Nach einer kurzen Suche, erfolgreich gefunden I send warm greetings from Germany.
One reason I came here was to have lunch at this hotel! A lot can happen in 12 yearsThere was an Osprey nesting on one of the power poles not far from here.
Cache found in the last place we looked. Lots of grass here.Freddo and e.gregory1 were heading up the middle of Australia following Stuart's well trodden route. We were travelling in air conditoned comfort and style. No stale food. No camels to carry water. We were leaving the cold winter for the northern season.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is the sixth day of Augustus Caesar's Month in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was so hot. No wind today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. What a blast from the past. Them were the days of playing pool and enjoying a good steak at the pub. RIP. TFTC and opportunity to reminisce.
OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa Heading over to Mandorah, caving along the way. Its a shame the pub is no more, I could have done with a cold drink after our caching journey.Tftc
Ocw the Bebes as we spend the day visiting the area and stop for caches on the way. Tftc

Nice find with woolwood9 today. Day 3 of our 9 days in and around Darwin. SL *tm/ww NZ* *Thanks for the reason to visit the area!* Good quick stop for the cache, container and log in good condition!
On our travels we found ourselves if wagait beach for the day and stopped to grab this cache, a nice easy drive by, thanks for placing it
For years we have been planning to take the ferry to Mandorah.
Today was a good day. The children are camping, we are free!
We almost missed the ferry, the bus took longer than expected.
When we arrived, we first visited the Tradis on the way, all in good condition!
Thank's corunnaroad for laying and maintaining!

Travelling with richlink on a trip from Perth to Darwin and return. Today, we are riding Route34 looking for scenery, history, and caches. Thanks for the cache, corunnaroad.
In Darwin with iluvtrekking for a revisit after eleven years. Beautiful weather and a great day to be out caching. Headed to the Cox Peninsula to do the Route 34 series and others along the way. Thanks conunnaroad
We called and grabbed I think all of the ones in this area as it was a bit of a drive to get here.
This trip was sort of in place of a trip to a Mega that got canceled due to accommodation problems, I was quite happy when Goose said do you fancy to caching break in the Northern Territory as this would be the last State or Territory for me in Australia.
Our plan was to fly into Darwin on the Friday night have a couple days in the area then start heading South stopping overnight whenever we needed to, our next goal was the drive to the geographic centre of Australia at Lambert Centre and then head back to Alice to fly home ten days later.
We both had a great trip finding some important old caches, large ones and the odd clever one too, we found Ammo Cans all over the place which was nice as i think we have found most of the ones at home in Tassie.
Thanks for the cache.

Today we went for a drive to explore out the Wagait Beach area and to collect the Route 34 caches along the way. We walked along the bike path, no one about. Quick find here. TFTC
I think we were trying to hard here, looking in all the difficult places and there it was as bold as brass!
Thanks corunnaroad
Our Northern Territory journey began in Darwin around 3am after a very delayed flight. We drove as far north as Fresh Water Camp (northeast of Darwin), followed by a loop to Liberated Cox (out to the west) and Litchfield National Park returning to Darwin. We then headed south with overnight stops at Katherine, Daly Waters and Devils Marbles before reaching our southernmost accommodation at Erldunda. From here we did a day trip to Lamberts Gravitational Centre on onward past Finke. Our last couple of days were in Alice Springs with a side trip via Hermannsburg and Glen Helen, all up covering just under 3800km. My thanks to all the COs with hides throughout the territory for helping make our trip so enjoyable.

Out caching with Irondale today and we decided to go all the way from Darwin CBD to wagait beach. I had made a list of caches starting from berry springs which was closed for swimming unfortunately up to the wrecked plane west of wagait.
It was a successful day with all but two caches found.
This one was found ok. TFTC

AngelG27 and I are finally in Darwin from Canberra for the weekend. This trip was originally booked for August 2020, so we are using up our travel credits. Today's focus was the two TE caches, cache types plus a couple more counties, then various D/T combinations. Cache easily found. TFTC.

Greetings from the ACT! TikvaNZ and I are finally in Darwin after our initial plan to travel to Darwin in May 2020 was thwarted by COVID 19 travel coming to a grinding halt! Just here for the weekend, so focusing on different types, counties and a few different DT combinations!
Today is picking up different types and a couple of extra counties out west. Then back to the airport at night for the overnight flight back to Sydney.
A quick find here!
Thanks corunnaroad for the cache and the fun!

A quick find today thankfully, once I had made the look around! Again some muscles to unscrew the top or is it the bottom? Anyway, all good here today, but the energy is fast being drained away.
I'm in Darwin for a couple of days on my way to Timor-Leste, and it gives me an opportunity to check off a couple more LGAs. My first find after getting off the ferry. TFTC
Great little hide. Out here this morning after work grabbing some geo’s before heading back to WA. TFTC & the history
We are heading to Wagait beach today, and made a stop here on the way.
From here the water looks incredibly inviting and the day has warmed up already.
A quick find at GZ. Log signed, and now on to the beach!
Thanks corunnaroad

Found at 3:24:00 PM(t) GAFF1.
I think I can understand why the pub didn't get rebuilt after the cyclone - hardly anyone lives here!
Went for a walk along the jetty and met up with the guy who opens and shuts the gate when the ferry arrives - had a nice chat about the place.
Cache was surprisingly tricky to spot - just blended in well with the surrounding rust.
Thanks corunnaroad.

With some time to kill SJG66 and I dumped the camper at Tumbling Waters and headed up the Cox Peninsula to do this series. Thanks for bringing us here. The view of Darwin over the water was well worth it. TFTC.

The geohubby has gone south for the grandbaby's first birthday, leaving me to my own devices. The perfect opportunity to attack the cache's along the Cox Peninsula Rd. This was a nice quick find while dodging the solar cars who were turning around just down the road. I am enjoying the "old hotel" series - I must be nearly done I think. TFTC Corunnaroad.
This was a quick find as we toured around the Cox Peninsula checking out the sights. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here. Although we aren't locals my sister enjoyed reminiscing about times spent here.
Today Pa was incredible - chauffeuring me along Cox Peninsula Road as we continue our wandering around northern Australia after attending the Red Centre Experience in Alice Springs over Easter. I had planned on hunting for 20 caches and managed to find them all plus an extra that I really didn't think was a possibility. Some were quick DIDOs, others were absolutely mind blowing in that they took so much patience to find and others took us to the most amazing areas teaching us history that we were never taught in school.
Many thanks to all the COs who have placed any of these caches for us to find and enjoy. My name was added to the og as either Smittengranny, stamped or as SG in the small logs to save space.
Hoped to find as the grass has been burnt down but could only afford a glance before the ferry arrived. Will try again b4 the grass grows too long again and try to work better around the ferry schedule
Still travelling NT after the Red Centre Experience but now moving towards Birdsville in QLD for the Big Red Bash. Staying overnight at Tumbling waters so a day out exploring the Cox Peninsula today.
Your cache was found in good order.
Log was paper mache so we replaced it.

#7123 - 15:35; Day 21 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune, albida33 and fitzy_1965, so signing logs as A.L.F.S. We had now reached Darwin, our most northerly port, after attending the Red Centre Experience event in Alice Springs. Today we planned to do some more caching in and around Darwin before heading out for a run to the Cox Peninsula to Wagait. A much better day today with 59 finds and only half as many DNFs, 5. All caches we located were in good order, including this one now we had reached Wagait. It's a shame to see what's left of the old hotel TFTC corunnaroad
Alice trip 2017. Day 19. Today Sol de Lune, Luckyl10n, Fitzy_1965 and I had a second day around Darwin, but we also went out to wagait beach along the Route 34 series, we even went though a fire.
Thanks.

13580. Next find of Day 11 of the Red Centre Experience Roadtrip. In Darwin.
I flew into Alice Springs to meet up with my caching mates Sol de Lune, Albida33 and LuckyL10n (signing mostly as ALFS) to attend the Red Centre Experience and then venture up north to Darwin and then east into Qld before heading south for home - a three week caching trek.
Next stop for the day. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache, and it was off to the next cache.

Day 2 of our (fitzy_1965, LuckyL10n, albida33 and myself) stay in Darwin. It was a mixed bag of a day with about 42 finds, but also about 30 DNF or DNA because of the DNF's, but or course you get that somedays.
The ones we found were a mixture of micro's and small and a lot were in interesting places. Caching in the NT is different to the southern states, so a day of 40 odd is a good return....especially with a bit of sightseeing thrown in as well.
Thanks for all the caches owners and the fun in grabbing them.
